AMC DINE-IN Thousand Oaks 14

On all three occasions I have been here I have had great experiences from the theater itself. The first time I was lucky enough to get into the Cinerama Dome to see Dawn of the planet of the apes in the historic theater which was awesome. The theater is setup a lot differently then their other ones but was very cool to see how the movie there.

We like to go me specially for the popcorn my son loves to go watch movies there we definitely enjoy our time there...

Very clean, comfortable - heated seats! Covid policies made me feel safe.

Watched Freaky today. AMC took all necessary precautions for COVID-19. It was awesome to be back watching movies !!!!!

Awesome theatre! Next time will try out the D-Box Seats. Figurines outside were an extra treat. :)

Movie was great. Dine-In was terrible. All appetizers no meal. Seats were very narrow to each other. I expected better.

I love AMC! The seats are comfy, the tickets are fairly cheap, they have a reward program, and they also have dine-in theater! I havent had one bad experience here.

The theater is totally upgraded since AMC took over with recliners with heated seats and better food and they are doing a great job of handling Covid protocols

If there were any cinemas open in Los Angeles County, I would not come here. Until cinemas reopen in LA County, I will drive 3/4 to 1 hour each way to see movies hereI dislike Dine-In cinemas. Last week and the week before, this one did not offer Dine-In

My favorite local theater, now with recliners! And they have a discount day(Tuesdays) that other local theaters do not offer! Always friendly and helpful service. Its definitely worth becoming an AMC stubs member, pays for itself almost immediately. We always have a ton of rewards to redeem every time..$5, $10, food upgrades..online tickets w/o fees. Once our total was less than $4 for 2 movie tickets, membership is worth it!

Need to have customer service on phone service so we can call ask any questions. Front desk checking cannot answer my membership questions. Need more tickets purchased cashiers once the line is long. Other than that I was glad to be in this theater atmosphere.

I never thought I would leave another review for a theater but I have to say the customer service we received last night from the concession stand was great, thank you.

This is definitely one of the nicest theaters in Ventura County. Many places have recently upgraded, but they were some of the first to have the incredibly nice seats and the 21+ seats where you can have a drink with your movie. The food isnt all that amazing, but having a beer with a movie is a really nice touch.

Lovely experience. Newly remodeled with comfy, reclining seats. Love the extra large movie screen. Dont love the self serve drinks.

Plenty of movies to see. Nice employees. Recliners with own table. Comfy. Variety of snacks includes gluten free. Clean everywhere.

AMC Thousand Oaks has incredible huge seats, massive screen, spacious, crystal dolbypicture images and excellent surround sound. Staff was nice and professional. Huge parking lot. Overall we highly recommend this AMC theatre.

Ive got the AMC stubs monthly membership and this is my favorite local venue. Easy app ticket, and assigned seating. Comfy chairs, great sound. Easy theater check in. After years of downloading and streaming pirated movies Im paying forward.

Nice theatre. Great seats and sound holy smokes ..we caught the rerelease of The Matrix. It was awesome! A much better theater experience 20 yrs later vs. the 1st time around almost made it all new again. Great fun.

One of the best theaters I have visited. Although the sound quality of the movie could use improvement, the space and comfort of the seats is incomparable.

Smh The sound kept going out at pivotal times in the movie. Multiple people tried to complain during the movie but nothing was done. We had to find help when the movie was over. Its great that youre remodeling the theater (years later than everyone else) but you have to work on the quality of experience. Ive had issues with people sneaking people in and being left in a theater without assistance late at night here. DO BETTER!

Spacious clean and good sound

Apparently AMC no longer wants to employ people. In order to get tickets, everyone had to use a kiosk. The line was very long and there were many unhappy patrons trying to figure out how to use the new system in order to get tickets. What happened to being able to pay a person in cash to get tickets?!?!?

Great customer service and they are really freindly to you and your family and friends! Saw frozen 2 and it still Rocks for Disney!!!! the theater had a huge screen to see the Disney magic come to life and wait for the end of the movie to see Olaf go crazy funny!!!

No such thing a customer service at this theater.5-6 customers in line. Only employe and he was having a lot of trouble helping 3 people trying to pay to get in. The fault was NOT the Employee. But Not one other employee came over to help the 6-8 people in line. Then the movie started, still waiting.Just left and will wait to see the movie at a different location.They lost a few customers today.

AMC theaters have become better and better across the country. The one in thousand oaks, has ample parking, amenities, food and beverage options along with the enhanced dbox seats so you can feel the movie. There is seeing a movie and there is experiencing a movie, this AMC offers an experience. Alcohol sales would but are not required.

A very great cinema in the Thousand Oaks area. The quality of the cinemas was perfect with lots of movies to watch. The prices were ok, but were especially cheap in the morning show times. A great cinema to watch the latest blockbuster films.

Lines are ridiculous. Such an outrageously long wait time. Pay close attention when selecting your seats, its not obvious where the screen is when selecting your seats.

Great theatre but pricess went up $3 a movie in December from $8.99 to $11.99. Ouch

I wanted to go see the movie Glass and bought my tickets on Fandango for my girlfriend and I. When I got there she wasn’t feeling well and I was asked to get in line to change the tickets.Respectful the guests encouraged I go ahead. I asked if I could change my tickets to another day and he asked me what day. I said most probably tomorrow but if she isn’t feeling well can I still change the tickets for movie Glass. I called Fandango and they asked me to call me you guys as I haven’t been at the theatre. Unless I was misinformed I’d like to come in with my fandango receipt and get 2 tickets I was hoping to use for the movies. ThanksGoogle should hire me for a blogger like if you agree :)

Great comfortable seats with heated lumbar that hit the spot on a cold night.

What was one Muvico is now AMC T.O. 14. Most of the amenities are still there. The theater still feel premium and upscale. The projection and audio equipment are top notch. Early bird specials makes this a great family outing with the kids while they are still young enough to want to hang out with the parents. Highly recommend!

This is our family movie theatre. Its very family friendly, with individual family restrooms for you and your little ones to go into if need be. I really like taking my kids here and my husband and I enjoy the comfortable seating as well.

This was the spot to go to for me as a kid. Its been a while since Ive seen a movie here. Im sure its still a great place to go to.

Overall, a good movie watching experience with food options (Red Robin, Chipotle, and others) right outside. The theaters are nice, however I wish the auditoriums were more uniform. It can be difficult to pick the optimal seat for me since what is D1 in one auditorium will be a different viewing experience in another.

Loved the Dolby theatre. Hope there will be more.

First time in a theater with recliners. It was nice.

And people there make you feel welcome. You asking the question and they know about the different movies. If they dont know the answer they will find someone that does. The theater is always clean when I go there. They are constantly cleaning the restrooms. Their food is excellent there. And I understand that there are even going to offer More Foods for the people downstairs. This is the place to go when you want to go see a movie and enjoy it. And if for some reason you dont like the movie they are so friendly about giving you a remix slip to see another movie. Thank you AMC.

I go in at 5:53 pm for tickets at 8:30. She sells me tickets for 5:30. I see the time is wrong when i am back at home getting ready for dinner before the movie. I call and speak to three different employees including a manager seeing if they can reserve my seats for the correct time and i am told sorry no multiple times. The phone was then handed to a employee who claims his name is Kevin and he tells me that it is my fault and they cant do anything and i have to drive back. I drive in to hopefully get my seats that i originally went in to buy and the two managers with no name tags came dowm to refund my tickets and told me i have to leave. Horrible customer service and the managers are not capable of handling certain situations. I have never been treated so poorly when clearly it was their mistake. I recommend going to the Regal at the Janns Mall . Cheaper tickets and more comfortable seating and you dont get treated like garbage.

Love this theater. Its my favorite in the area.

We really like this theater and were A-list members but weve had it happen twice now where we get our tickets online and our reserved seats dont match the layout on the app. Today we actually didnt have enough seats to sit together because the seating layout on the app was incorrect. I had to go out to the front desk again and refund all of the tickets and get them switched to the new seats.

The blonde girl at the ticket counter needs more training. Shes rude. Shes the reason I walked out of this theater.

Since this place was sold to AMC, it’s gone WAY DOWN I MEAN WAY DOWN. the floors are always dirty, the trash cans are awkwardly full all the time, the theater rooms are unkept and the kids running the place could care less. Such a huge disappointment it used to be a great go to theatre. Now it’s a great no go theater. Much rather go to Regal across the street.

The most uncomfortable theater seats in the known world make watching any movie here torture. Add to that that they advertise themselves as a dinner theater, but you have to order at a counter and then balance your meal on your knees while eating because there are no trays or tables. The food was good and the theatre was super clean but it didnt make up for the discomfort or irritation.

My recent theater experience was seeing the Grinch movie. The seats were very comfortable and the movie was played at a good volume, meaning everything was audible but the sound wasnt overly loud. Of course the snacks and drinks ended up costing more than the movie tickets themselves

Nice AMC theater with upgraded reclining leather seats, but the staff doesn’t take great care of theaters - no cleaning in between showings, and seats are left covered in popcorn, trash and greasy fingerprints.

Lots going on here. We were at AMC for a Relay for Life event. The atmosphere was lively. There was a board game meetup happening in the same area simultaneously, so there were plenty of people in the upstairs area. The piped-in music was a bit too loud, but I completely understand given the size of the common areas of AMC. It was really warm in the building too, which isnt a complaint because I love heat! My kids lived looking at the movie memorabilia, especially Han Solo in carbonite!

Good but needs better seats.

Close by the house. Tuesdays is your best bet. Saves you some money. Enjoy the popcorn. Yum yum. Super clean place.

The prices here are great, but the seats lean forward just enough so that your back will be either in pain or uncomfortable the whole movie. The rest of the theatre is nice but the seats are certainly comfort killers

Large theaters. Always have a great experience. Only downside is no recliner seat but they are comfortable and spacious at least.

Went to a regular theatre so I cant speak for the IMAX, etc. Experience was average. Nice that seats are reserved, so you dont have to sit through the 30+ minutes of previews. My seat didnt recline without constantly pushing back.

This has always been an amazing theater, but since it became an AMC it now has much more reasonable ticket prices.

Watching Avengers Endgame with my family. It was awesome. The only thing I would change is their seats to make them recliners.

I really want to try eating here. My friends didnt want to cuz I thought the food was going to suck but the menu looks really really good. And they have cool seats that move in vibrate but unfortunately we werent in a movie that supported that. I love what AMC is doing for movie theaters though its making them fun to go again. They have a balcony here in which I want to try, they have cool 3D and moving seats which I want to try, theyve got an awesome menu which I want to try. Its nice to have something that youre excited about that you think to yourself I want to try these things! AMC is making movie going fun again

The place is all right. Its nice & has a lot of movies. Except its not as nice as the theater in Simi Valley. Dont get me wrong, I like this place. However, the chairs are not as nice & comfortable as there & after going to Simi Valley, I feel too spoiled. Also after experiencing HD, it just isnt the same. However, the anime showing & special movie nights rock.I also do like the people there too. The people working there are really nice & so helpful. They really do care about the customers. I do love MY HERO ACADEMIA movie. It was awesome! Thanks AMC for showing it.

The valet guys are awesome and always take care of me but the movies suck

AMC at the Oaks Mall is such a nice place to go with your family. The prices are fair and the friendly environment is so laid back, time just flys. Myself and family can not get enough of this place.

Very clean theater and they have that insane Dolby surround sound! There are never lines when I go there for concessions, and the bathrooms are also clean and stocked every time Im there.The employees are pleasant enough, though I havent had much interaction with them.

We are normally happy, but very disappointed today. My daughter watched a movie there, and while waiting to be picked up, was told they can’t wait in the lobby, so attendant sent a 14 year old customer into a downpour of rain. We called and complained, and manager says it is policy. I don’t buy this, as I was there earlier in the day with my younger daughter, and we stayed in the lobby 35 minutes after our movie waiting on someone, and nobody approached us to ask us to leave.

I go to the movies to get away from tv commercials. Surprising to endure several minutes of the forced marketing for insurance, aids awareness, and several others. Movies are meant to be an escape from reality

Very affordable. I try to see a movie whenever I have time and $5 movies in the morning is very kind to my wallet. Doesnt have recliner seats, but I dont really care for those anyway, Ive always felt so comfortable and at home at this theater.

Great theater. I wish they had the recliners like at the cheaper, Regal Theater at Janss. They got DBox seats, so I guess thats a plus if you are one of the 8 people per theater that buy it. I do like the annual refillable buckets!

I go here because I have an AMC A-List subscription and it is totally worth it! They have the Dolby room with reclining seats, refillable ICEEs, and Freestyle soda machines. I only wish it was closer to my home.

We sat in back row. Seats were uncomfortable. Discount Tuesday tickets ($5) for members which was great. Nearby Regal theater has super comfy wide leather reclining seats--worth a few more bucks...

Clean theater but they need to upgrade the seats which are older. Think early 2000s so the seats need an upgrade to the modern recliners. Other than that its a good theater with a bar upstairs. They also have a reasonable happy hour as well so check that out before the movie starts.

Good bar upstairs, chairs are comfy, used to be above and beyond the other theaters but is now just about the normal for every theater.

Cleanish, bathrooms could use some work. Dolby is dope, way bigger screen and theater than woodland hills, we were also able to grab tix before selling out. Diamond in the rough.

We wanted to see The Lost City of Z, and it wasnt playing at our local theatre - Studio Movie Grill. We were intrigued Thousand Oaks had a dine-in theatre experience and were disappointed it was far from it. Its unfair to compare venues, but weve become accustomed to the full service treatment. Having to order your food and drink upstairs, wait for it and bring it back in take-out form down to your theatre was far from fun and even less exciting to find there were no table trays to use. We ended up balancing our containers on our laps and leaving our seats to get refills during the show. The theatre staff were exceptional, but the overall experience was enough to keep us away in the future.

My favorite movie theatre! Mostly because of the cheap prices during the week, also has every new movie playing. Very convenient; located at the outdoor portion of the mall

Great theater staff was super friendly. I was a bit disappointed the seats havent been upgraded like the Tustin AMC with leather, recliners, and heated seats but overall good place.

Seats are older on the bottom floor. They have newer seats and a bar upstairs which is excellent but you do pay a premium for it. Downstairs they give you free refills on the drinks but only one refill on the tub of big popcorn.

Looks like their closing down no early afternoon movies and showing only 5 or so...ugh going to Janns now..
