My husband and I got married here! It was perfect!! Absolutely perfect! The staff is super professional and the ground are heavenly. & dont get me started on the bridal suite; I felt like a goddess. I am so thankful for South Eden Plantation.

We stayed here for a surprise overnight trip as few weeks ago. It was breathtaking and wonderful! My fiancé planned his proposal here. We stayed in the honeymoon cottage and it was perfect from the decor to the personal hot tub in the patio, we loved it! Upon arrival we had a few drinks at scarlets lounge then had a 7 course meal by the chef, who was amazing! From her food to her service. We were the only 3 out there and we loved the intimate setting and the meals being explained by the chef. Overall it was such an amazing experience and highly recommend it to guest. The only thing that we didn’t like was when we arrived (we told them 5pm), we were told once we got there to call the number and someone would meet us in the parking lot on the golf cart and take us to our cottage and show us around. We called the number several times (10+), sent messages to the business page on social media, and still do not get an answer. So we had to walk around (not knowing where anything was) trying to find someone who could help us. There was a wedding rehearsal going on this night, so it made it even more confusing on who we needed to speak with (everyone we asked was there for the rehearsal lol). If anything, make sure to get a personal contact number before checking in and arriving that way you don’t have this issue, other than that, it was the most perfect night!

As a wedding photographer, I admit that I can be pretty picky when it comes to venues. For me to love a venue it must be unique, have great light, gorgeous places for pictures, and a beautiful reception area. I was very excited for my first wedding at South Eden Plantation and it definitely didnt disappoint!The bridal suite is the prettiest that Ive seen! It is spacious with high ceilings and great natural light. Its decorated so beautifully with antique mirrors and sofas. I could have done a whole shoot just in there and although time didnt allow, hopefully one day I will.There are TONS of options for ceremony sites at South Eden and they are all gorgeous. The property is sprawling and lush with photo opportunities everywhere. My personal favorite was the historical 1825 pool house. There was such beautiful natural light inside and a gorgeous ivy wall and garden outside it for other photo ops. I love how the owners have maintained the historic qualities and the pool house has such charm and character.Inside of the main house is perfect as well. I loved the reception space that my bride chose in the main dining room with big windows, chandeliers and hard wood floors. I know there are many other options for receptions that I am excited to experience in the future.I really cant rave enough about this place. With so many cookie cutter venues, it was so inspiring to work at a venue like South Eden. It is the perfect venue for an elegant wedding and there is no place quite like it!

The maintenance and housekeeping crew were great since we needed them a lot. We had two rooms and when we checked in we had: broken air conditioner in 92 heat, no hot water in a shower, key card didnt work after a move to a second room, towels that were wet from a leak down the wall, new towels had stains on them, I fixed a broken screen door on the porch so it would close. The maintenance folks were super responsive and very apologetic. Our problem is with management- rooms at these prices need to be checked out before guests arrive. There is no lobby/check in desk, so had to deal with management over a phone. $250 a night? Yikes!

WOW. This plantation is by far the most gorgeous place Ive ever been to. The staff here really make you feel like family. The manager Billy went above and beyond to meet my needs.

Amazing! We had our wedding there and it could have not been more perfect! They were more than willing to work with us to bring our wedding vision to life. The grounds is gorgeous and lots of great spots for wedding photos. Love the Chef! She is such a joy! And I cannot forget about Billy...he rocked it and was beyond helpful. Thank you South Eden for a day we will never forget!!!!

I am in LOVE with this venue. We had our wedding here (our guests stayed on site and we hosted the rehearsal dinner/ceremony/reception/sunday brunch on site). The site itself was BEAUTIFUL and the staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. This venue is perfect if you are looking for an aesthetically pleasing, charming, laid back, slow-paced, southern experience with tasty food.I cannot in good conscience leave a review without shedding light on the fact that the staff is unorganized. If you are planning your wedding and are looking for something efficient and more corporate, this is NOT the right place for you!However, if you think a little chaos just adds to South Edens charm and are excited to soak in an authentic southern experience, BOOK THIS PLACE! . It truly is a dream.

I wish I could give zero stars. Do NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE. My dear friends son had His wedding there and she said trying to work with them was an absolute nightmare. It’s a beautiful venue but not enough to be worth the stress at all. They said the owner has no hospitality and that they messed up multiple details of the wedding!! UNACCEPTABLE DO NOT BOOK!!!

The photo opportunities here are endless! Might have a blast with the love music and some wine. The food we had was not very good today. I mean if it wasnt for the horses and the show boat this review would really be bad. We really enjoyed ourselves around the grounds. I felt like Django walking around here lol. Go just to take pictures.

We were there for a wedding a few weeks ago and the entire staff was amazing! From the way we were greeted, the dinner the night before and for the reception, our accommodations, the set up for the wedding and the care we received throughout. It was more than we could have asked for! The ground are simply beautiful and well maintained and anytime we needed anything, someone was always willing to help. It was never let me see if we can do that. They always said sure. Thanks for an incredible weekend!

Great place for an event! We had a work Christmas party here recently and it was incredible. Food is outstanding and they have a wonderful beer selection.

Beautiful place to go! The cafe was really nice and had some good wine and cheesecake. We loved walking around the plantation to see the meadow, trees, and older buildings.

Amazing atmosphere and excellent guest services. Rooms were impeccable. Menu offerings of wine, food, and beer were cultivated with care. Couldnt have been more perfect. Will visit every chance we get! A must go! Best wedding venue Ive ever attended.

This place is indeed amazingly, Very historic, whole Ground is very Beautifully done i enjoy walk around peacefully. Cafe is Yum Yummy! Choices of Wine and beer drafts is great. Staying in their rooms are very comfortable amd clean! Worth every penny and time quality there. Loving it there.

Love the lay back atmosphere!! Wine and food are great and music is wonderful! True relaxing southern vibe. Second time there and walked grounds under the lighted oaks with 5 visiting friends from South Fl. And had a wonderful evening!!!! Nothing like the is in Fort Lauderdale for sure!

Had a very personal chefs table, all the food was fantastic and all property is gorgeous.

I attended a wedding reception there and it was a great location. It had plenty of room for mingling and dining, a dance floor outside, lots of locations for nice photos(especially when it got dark, most trees had lights hung on them), and fantastic staff

The atmosphere was unbeatable. It was a beautiful place to walk around and explore. The food was OK. I have no complaints about it but I also have nothing to hide about either. My only complaint was that when asked about the food the waitress seemed to not know the menu as well as she should.

An incredible location with food and wine to match! Ive been meaning to pop into the South Eden Plantation for a while now and finally decided to take the opportunity for some after dinner drinks on one of their live music nights. The wine menu was extensive and all available by the glass, which made my choice even more difficult. But I eventually made up my mind and decided on the cheese platter to go with it. Once those hard decisions were over, I could sit back, sip on my wine, and listen to some country music, while the cicadas played their own music in the trees. I cant wait to visit again for some more front porch sitting.

We were fortunate enough to have been able to book a room at South Eden during Hurricane Irma. We had the opportunity to come back and visit during Thanksgiving and had an equally wonderful, albeit very different experience. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and the food superb. This will be our new Thanksgiving tradition.

I proposed to my wife at Creme of the Crop, and the staff did an amazing Job helping set up the surprise (Shout our to Helen!!!). We then had our wedding under the oak the following spring, Kim(The Owner) personally oversaw that everything was in order and the way we wanted. And just recently, we celebrated our first aniversery at the Plantation, and as usual, Kim’s team (lead by Sandy) came through with flying colors to help make our anniversary one we will never forget. Twice now we have stayed in the Birdy suite; the room, accomadations, and staff were nothing less than amazing. We will continue to be regulars and recomend this to others.

South Eden is the epitome of southern elegance! Lovely grounds, charming cafe for lunch, great tour of the property, helpful and friendly staff.This was my second visit in less than a week!This place has it all-Want to come back for music on the weekend, bar-b-que dinner on Saturday and the Sunday meal in the new dining room.A very special place for a relaxed lunch with friends or a fabulous place to celebrate a special event in your life.

We came here on our honeymoon during hurricane Irma. We will ABSOLUTELY BE BACK! We were out of power and the owner and staff took excellent care of us and really treated us like family. Very friendly people and a beautiful place to stay. Gorgeous amd very clean rooms with amazing food. All the fresh ingredients. Quiet and peaceful. What would have been a disappointment for a honeymoon turned out to be a wonderful experience. Thanks Kim and Gabriella and all the staff! Yall went above and beyond for us as customers!

Very disappointed. Who wants a sandwich or salad for dinner! Music was horrible...he complained about his fingers wasnt working, his shoulder was shot and didnt know how much longer he could play!! Will not be going back!
