Sonny is awesome and fixes saddles like new super quick and his prices are too low, so tip good!
If Sonny doesnt have it, hell make it!
Only real tack shop around and they do repairs.
I was in market for new saddle & tack-Plus had my wifes saddle for a simple repair- the stirrup leather had broken underneath due to saddle age and many miles, Mr Burt proceeded to looked at the saddle for about less than a minute, and tell me all about the saddle that he had made the saddle in 2002, I ignore his misstep, as I know full well this saddle has been in my wifes family for at least 50 + years, as weve had it for the last 20 years alone, since the 90s and it along with a few others were purchased by her uncle in Texas during the mid 60s, anyway - I did not belabor that point, as I still needed it repaired, but he continued to study the saddle, arguing about how the leather broke in the first place, the argues that the stirrups are to long for my wife, which hes never seen! Again I ignore his need to argue about irrelevant points, I just want to get saddle repaired, after several minutes, it becomes clear that he either doesnt know how to repair it or doesnt want to...So I move to my other take needs - specifically a new Snapple bit, and I had brought with me another bit that we currently use with this horse for size comparison- mr Burt again, tries to tell me that horse size, makes no difference- his quote was hes seen a draft horse, where a pony bit!...I tried to look at his bit inventory, but he continued to want to argue about the saddle again, telling me all about his 40-50 years experience, etc...This mans arrogance, and rude attitude was just too much, so I loaded my saddle, bit and my business, and politely, bid him farewell,Have a nice day!
