The employees were very nice and helpful! The theater was safe there were some protected measures taken for example while watching the film everyone was 6 feet apart and wearing mask! We had a great time! I would definitely recommend going

I havent been to Showplace 12 in years and my sister convinced me to go to see Toy Story 4. Not only do I highly recommend the movie, but it was clean and comfortable. I only gave 3 stars because the cost of food was absolutely ridiculous. $15 for nachos! I was honestly shocked. If you are already paying for tickets to and gas to go to the movie, why have to spend $15 on ONE ORDER of nachos. But other than the food cost, we had a good time. This was the first time my little boy went to a movie theater and he enjoyed it.

The last time I went to the theaters in Terre Haute IN. That was just before the theaters close for covid 19. the seats in their theaters were filthy and we had to look for seats twice before we found some half way clean. The bathrooms were filthy. I always love going every week to the show. I just wonder when they do reopen if the will have cleaned the seats and keep up on the bathrooms?

The staff is always polite and the food selection is pretty good The interior is a little dated but clean and well maintained. Movie and sound quality is always wonderful. Weve seen 3D movies here and that looked awesome. Only real complaint is that they have standard movie theater seats and I wish they had the nicer ones with the armrests that come up. All in all, a great value for your money. You can also save some by joining their club thing and getting upgrades and discounts on food and tickets sometimes, just fyi.

Check in for tickets was quick and easy. Movie, The Call of the Wild was good. Sometimes too loud for my ears but mine are sensitive to loud. Only thing not so good was the smell of dirty carpets. It just stank. Maybe regular shampoos would help. Also, when you get up once movie over, there is no lights by your feet in the seat area. Would be helpful to put full light on once movie over to prevent falls. I will use this theater again.

I always check the movie listings online. The movie my husband and I wanted to see said it came on at 9:45. Got there and the movie didnt start till 10:30. This is not the first time we went to see a movie and the time was wrong! I will call the next time going to the movies to make sure the times are accurate.

Decent prices, great movies, and dirty theater rooms.In all seriousness, Ive always been coming here. I do like the place, but they really need to work on keeping the theaters cleaner. Theres usually a slightly off-putting smell but its easy to overcome.

The Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood movie was nice to watch on a rainy morning with my family, although I wish the show had started at 10:30 as advertised, instead of 11. The facility is nice and we always have a good time :)

This place is really getting bad. I could see massive amounts of dust on top of the speakers. It just feels very icky. Wish they would invest some money in Terre Haute. Maybe consider a new theater by the casino or something. Who knows but they really should clean this place up.

Overall a great theater with kind and customer service focused staff. However, when nationally released African American movies are available I am forced to go to Indianapolis to view them because Terre Haute does not show films like HARRIET for example. So, two stars for poor selection of films.

We went to see Joker. He lost a lot of weight for that movie. So unless you want to see a crackhead give a diatribe with his shirt off for like 2 hours straight then you may want to reconsider that particular feature presentation. And I thank you very much for your time today.

I really enjoy watching my favorite movies there. I saw Avengers endgame there on opening night, it was not hectic or crazy. The staff is very organized and keep the place pretty clean. The seats could probably bee replaced with newer cleaner ones.

The people who work there get 4/5 stars. Though, the lines at the concession stand are still way too long and they dont have enough help (especially on really busy weekends. I mean Endgame just came out.) The seating in the theater could be more comfortable but not as bad as some I have been to. (They need to convert one of the theaters to recliner seating.) Overall, it is passable, but if you have the time, I recommend going to Indianapolis.

I feel like it is overpriced. Spent $34 on 2 people, 1 popcorn and 1 drink and was told I couldnt get refills if I wasnt a stub member. Whatever that is because noone told me about it. The movie was at 3 pm. Every single stall in the womens bathroom was out of toilet paper. I probably wont return.

Staff was rude. Lines were long. Popcorn was outrageously priced. Only to find out the had health code violations involving mouse poop near the storage area of the popcorn.The butter station was gross. I chose no butter after waiting forever to get there and then seeing it all dirty.Glad I didnt get sick.

Love this theater for the most part. I personally feel it is comfortable for the most part. I dont like that several of the arcade games were broke though and I feel it is expensive for what you do there. Prices could be a little lower.

While it continues to get more and more expensive to go to the movies with little to no perks, I was glad to see that Terre Hautes AMC 12 has finally relinquished their tight control on bags to use for each child who will be sharing out of a giant bucket of popcorn. We were able to fill each individual bag, hand them to the five kids who were eating out of the bucket and then refill the bucket so that we didnt face to get up during the movie. The lack of fighting over popcorn and interruptions to the movie made the experience more pleasurable for sure. I also really appreciate the ability to buy our tickets via the kiosk machine. Its so much faster!

I bought 2 child tickets thru the kiosk for an R rated movie. I used to be able to go in & give my permission when buying the tickets without having to stay for the movie but things have changed. So i asked her to refund the money for another movie. She took forever! FINALLY when i was buying the tickets for the PG movie she charged me for 2 adults tickets! If i bought adult tickets in the first place i wouldnt of had to exchange them!

This is an older theater with stadium seating. Which used to be the thing but now, with recliners and food service becoming more the norm, it is a little dated. The screen was good and the sound adequate. Theater was clean and relatively quiet though small. Bathrooms clean and plenty of stalls. Concesions are not TOO expressive and they now have serve yourself refills on drinks. No reserved seatingOnly complaint: we purchased our tickets via Fandango which directed us to proceed to the ticket taker, bypassing the line. They had no ticket taker and we had to wait in line to get to the cashier who preceded to print out tickets and tear then himself. Why?

Love coming here for movie premiers, as a AMC stub member the rewards are worth it. Great place for families, dates, or even alone time. Feels like home to me.

Could be a great place to see a movie. Concessions needs to make sure they have all soft drinks available, salt shakers full, candy stocked, and all specials available. Twice weve been there and they are out of soft drinks and out of salt. Should be the two main items kept in the stock room and restocked every second of every shift. Terre Haute has already closed the mall, AMC management is ensuring they are next to close.

The theatre itself is sadly beyond out-of-date. Go to almost any other AMC within a decent drive from TH and youll see what I mean. Its depressing that AMC bought this place from Kerasotes and did nothing to maintain the building.The staff is friendly and they do a great job of keeping the place clean. I dont want to bash what a great job they do. But AMC should be ashamed.

Easy location with friendly staff. Clean and easy to get to. The last place left in town to watch a film. They do keep it going and haven’t let it slide though.

Went to see Just Mercy it was a good movie.

The tickets and concessions are expensive for what you get. Standard, tiered, fold-down seating like theaters have had for 20+ years. Can receive better, reclined loungers, with full bar accommodations AND a better concession offering for a cheaper price in bigger cities. It is, however, the ONLY indoor theater in the area, so there is no competition to make them want to be better.

Needs a good cleaning and updating. Many times it is found under staffed.

This place just seems to get more expensive ans the quality of the building, the snacks, etc. is worse and worse. For the amount of money it costs to take a family of 5 to see a movie one would hope the amenities would be nicer.

This theater has seen better days. The staff is friendly and helpful, but the facility could use some TLC. Some of the theaters smell musty and have chairs roped off. I often have people talking or checking their phones. I know I can go tell a staff member, but why dont staff walk thru every now and then? I am an A-List member but I have friends that wont go to the theater with me because they dont want spend the prices for a subpar experience.

Basic movie theater. Not enough drink machines during busy periods and drink machine ran out certain flavors.

All the staff were kind people to us. The movie we watched was an excellent movie, called Captain Mar vel. Our family recommends the watching of this movie. The only upsetting part of our experience, is the fact of its located right beside the water treatment plant! So, the odor coming into the theater, almost required a gas mask!

Awesome prices r a little steap.

I went last night for my birthday and to see joker. I bought the bucket for when me and my family come back. Well looked down their was a roach crawling on the bucket..... I about puked it was disgusting.

I was there to watch pitch perfect 2. Great movie. The only problem I saw was no one was at the contestants for five minutes. The staff were and kept it clean. The seats were old but I heard they were getting new seats. The floor was a little dirty. Other than that it was pretty good. We ended up going on a busy day anyway.

The movie was good but the staff ripped me off on a large popcorn. I ordered and paid for a large popcorn. Went back for a refill and they informed me that what I had was not a large and they couldnt give me a refill. They didnt give me a receipt after I ordered the popcorn so I couldnt prove then wrong.I think they had a new person working concession and they didnt know any better. So I take it as a lesson learned. So when you go make sure your order is right and you get your receipt.

$15 for a regular sized drink and popcorn is highway robbery. $5 for a pack of candy isnt much better. With minimum wage at $7.25, a family of four would have to spend $60+tax (9 hrs of work) to go to a matinee and have popcorn and 1 soda per two people. Do the right thing, lower your prices on snacks during matinee hours so families can still afford to go out.

The only issues I encountered was caused by other viewers. The theater was great

I went here on a Saturday afternoon, and we had almost the whole theater to ourselves. The screen was good quality, and the surround sound was impressive. The theater was cool and clean, but a bit on the humid side. The ticket prices were acceptable for the quality of the movie. The concession prices, however, are unforgivable. To charge nearly $20 for what costs them pennies is not just greedy, its insulting.Dear AMC: How about you charge $20 a ticket that includes free popcorn and soda? Id be fine with that.

Fun movie theater. Always love to visit. And I mean that, truly. With all my heart.I keep seeing negative reviews for this theater and cant understand why. The sound system is great, the atmosphere is lovely. Maybe Im just weird. The restrooms were fine when I visited last. And as for scents, all I perceived was popped corn and cold air. Maybe slightly warm carpet...The concession stand is rather pricey, but I have yet to go to a theater that doesnt overprice their foodstuffs. The only real complaint I have is that I wish more Fanthom events would come here rather than all the way in Indy. Otherwise, no compliants. Visiting here is like a little holiday for me. In fact, I try to come on Christmas when I can. Its nice.

The movie quality is top notch.

My husband and I are premiere stub members so we are able to take advantage of the $5 tickets on Tuesdays. We typically go every week to two weeks and we love it here! The popcorn is always fresh and they have Coca-Cola freestyle machines so we are not limited on our drink selection. They also have a very friendly and helpful staff.

Who doesnt love going to the movies. The only thing that makes you not go is the prices for the movies and possibly for the popcorn and drink you get when you go.

Ticket prices are abit pricey at this location. In Michigan I can go see a movie at an AMC owned theatre with much nicer seats for only $5. However, I still enjoy going here.

I am an over the road truck driver and I was in the area for a delivery and wanted to see a movie that just came out. Not only did they let me park my truck in an empty area of the lot, but because my hours of service for driving was going to expire during the movie, they allowed me to park there for my 10 hour break. They really go out of their way for customers.

Seen lion king with family fun but pricey

You can go here to watch a movie the workers are nice and the place is decently clean but the seating Is a little on the tight side and pretty uncomfortable the room also got a bit hot if the theater is over 3/4 the way full. Over all I will go again but if another theater opened near here I would take the drive

Comfortable seating, good sound and picture quality. Everything youd expect from a multiplex theater. The Stubs rewards program are a nice bonus.

The seats are comfortable, the sound and picture very good. It was easy getting in and out. But why do all movie theaters charge high ticket prices, then want you to spend more ungodly prices on concessions?

In large need of updating. if you lower the price of your concessions, everybody in the auditoriums wouldnt be smuggling in their own.

Terre Haute is dirty...very dirty. Smells, dust on fans, chairs stink and the restrooms are dirty. Been to theatres in GA and it doesn’t have to be this way. Poor management.

Interesting layout between the 2 buildings, but we had a great experience.

This theater is becoming an embarrassment to Terre Haute considering it is the largest and most visited theater in Terre Haute. They dont have enough staff to keep the place clean, the chairs are do old they have deep dips in the seats where people sit. The place smells musty all the time. I checked last night and over half of the bathroom sinks do not have running water. When you sit on the toilet many of the toilet rings are loose and slip to the side. My son has introduced us to a theater about 45 min drive from our house. It was clean, no dipping seats and didnt smell bad. Hate to drive that far but the experience was much more pleasurable. They even offered 3D and IMAX! We are going to start going there as much as we can when time allows. Its not AMC!!! We Dont care. It was such a wonderful experience! PLEASE!!! PLEASE do something about the Terre Haute theater!!!

The last 2 times we went it had an overwhelming strong scent of urine as soon as you walked into the movie viewing area. Theater 3 if I remember correctly. Literally smelled of dog urine that you couldnt get used to. Definitely made a very unpleasant movie experience for all 7 of us. Felt we were sitting in a dirty home filled with ammonia.... wont be going again until they solve the problem...
