Great water park for families with small children, older kids adults not so much.
As always the perfect amount of fun for 2 boys 12 and 4. However, this weekend really showed their dedication. When my citys pool shut down a week ahead of schedule for lack of staff, LJ couldve easily done the same allowing their staff of students to prepare for school. Instead they brought in reinforcements. Not the same staff, some older, some heavier, all very dedicated to our families. Thanks Temple!
It was great!! Lots of chairs, huge umbrellas to get out of the sun. Snack bar, drinks. Lazy River, small kids area. Diving board. It was an all around great day with the grandkids. Very reasonably priced too get in for a day off fun. It cost $12.00 for my husband and I. What a great great day. Oh and lets not forget the water slides. My 2 older grandkids loved it.
Such an AMAZING experience! Very clean and family friendly. You never have to worry about uneven ground or steps outside of the pool. Also every 2 hours a mandatory break is taken. They also offer food,snacks and ice cream at a very low cost. Birthday party are also aloud during open hours for a small fee or rent the whole park for a fee as well. Very clean pool site. The water is very clear & clean. The sell hot dogs, nacho cheese, ch-burger, French fries,ice-cream,soda, water etc good prices. The line is very long. You have to go early to find spots where to sit. Cant bring no food inside, each family member can bring a bottle of water with them thats about it.
Greatest place to come on a hot day. Family fun for every one and of youre kid(s) are under two than they get in for free! Clean places to sit and the restrooms are well kept. Loved this place an will be back soon
Did not know that this park has walking trails. Plus a really cool bike fixing station. Going to bring my Grandkids here soo !
Lots of lifeguards, clean, cheap and great for families. Lots of shaded areas. You can bring your own water. No food or snacks...they . Good prices at the snack bar compared to other water parks. Grandparents day on Mondays. 175.00 annual for family of 4. Totally worth it. 6 times and all entrance after that would be free.
Great family park. Very reasonable and well taken care of. No thugs either which makes it very nice with young children. Ready to go back again soon.
Pros: The facility is nice and clean, and the price is affordable. They play pretty good music.Cons: Too many parents not watching their kids, which while the rules require kids under 12 be supervised, nobody enforces this. There was also a field trip there and the chaperones sat at their table and the kids just did whatever they wanted.I guess that would be OK if the lifeguards did anything at all to enforce pool rules. Most of the time they had their backs to the pool in the kids area talking to the other lifeguard that sits at the bottom of the big slides. Neither of them watching their area easily for 2 to 3 minutes at a time before theyd glance back at the pool for a few seconds. I wish I was exaggerating. I was a lifeguard in the past, theres plenty of time for them to chat during their breaks, they need to be focused on the pool. The only rule they seemed to slightly care about was running.In the kids area kids are literally plowing down the smaller slides 5 to 10 at a time, purposely getting stuck in the slides, blocking the bottom of the slide and running each other over (especially smaller kids) . Didnt see one lifeguard even attempt to put a stop to it in the 5 hours we were there. I spent almost my entire time trying to keep other kids from running my kids over. Watched another dad have to go over and get the lifeguards attention because a number of kids found their way underneath the rope bridge in the kids area that is off limits and very unsafe. Theyd been under there for a few minutes. They need to add a second lifeguard in the kids area, preferably at the top controlling the chaos of the slide.Im not sure if the lifeguards dont understand how quickly things can go wrong in water, if theyve just gotten complacent because nothing has happened yet or if they just dont care. Either way its going to get someone hurt one day.If you bring your kids here, especially littles, Id recommend you keep a very close eye on them (and the bigger kids around them) because the lifeguards certainly wont be.I went down the large red slide only to find the pool at the end isnt deep enough, causing my whole back to be scraped on the bottom. Probably not an issue for kids though.On a final minor note, the snack stand couldnt serve food to any guests until after ~1pm because they had to serve the field trip first. Seems like they should be better prepared for that so they can serve everyone.
Great place to go with family love the lazy river
Its a great place with fun for the whole family. From the water slides to The Lazy River. They have a rock wall in the diving pool area along with a little wading pool with a playground in it for the little ones they even have a splash pad for those that are yet to walk. Great atmosphere the food is a little pricey but what do you expect from a water park. Definitely a good place to go in the temple area to beat the heat from the summer with your whole family.
Great summer outi g for the entire family. Multiple attractions to enjoy especially for the babies. Concessions stands. Clean restrooms. Lockers & great staff. Life guards are doing great with attentiveness.
This water park is very fun. My kids are little and they love the water slide and pools and the kiddie area. Some of the bigger kids in our group enjoyed the water slides, as well. It is comparable to the water park in Killeen, but it is bigger and has a lazy river. $2 entrance on Tuesday with military ID. They have a pretty strict policy about no outside food besides water bottles.
1st time going there with the family... We will be back. So much fun for the kids and us... Come Enjoy...

Its a fun place to bring my kids
Very nice park lots of things for kids to do. The only thing that was troubling was we had to eat outside of the park, but there were only 3 tables and all of them was occupied by other visitors that were letting there children play on the playground so most of us had to sit in the ground to eat our food.
Good but they close too early for a Saturday when people wanna go and enjoy it..

Its a nice little water park, but does have a couple of drawbacks. You cant bring food or drinks into the park, which is industry standard, but the water fountains are filthy at all times. I wouldnt let my children drink out of them, which probably boosts the drink revenue of the concession stand. The other issue is having to have a parent on site if you arent 13 years old. It seems that with lifeguards on duty, 10 or 11 years of age would be appropriate.

This place is great for people of all ages! I just wish they would let you bring a cooler with snacks and drinks.
Lions Junction is great for kids from infant to around 13. Its usually pretty clean, there are quieter places and more active ones, and the concession stand is pretty reasonably priced. There is a good number of life guards, but they ARE teenagers, and often get distracted by each other, so you do need to keep track of your own kiddo. On the down side, it can get very crowded on the days when summer camps are there. Its a small water park, and too many bodies means no fun. So if you get to the parking lot and see a school bus, just go home. Your kids will end up hit and pushed under water by bigger kids, and you will end up groped by teenagers.
Great time. Inexpensive family entertainment. Impressed with plenty of great life guards. Park was perfect size to keep up with kids.
Fantastic water park for me and my two boys (9 yrs & 4 yrs old). The price cant be beat and there are always plenty of attentive life guards. The water is clean but not over chlorinated. Thanks to the LJ team for another great day out!
If youre going to have teenagers work the ticket box and the concession stand please have them take a training class in customer service.
Kids love the water park
My kids had a blast at the park today. Not too crowded, lifeguards were friendly, good pool food options. Easy to get a float and not too rowdy in the lazy river.

Fun place, lots to do. Major downfall, is it gets crowded quickly, lines to go down slides as well as to get in the park. I have 3 kids ages 7 and under and I watch many parents drop off kids maybe 12yrs. 10yrs., or even 8 yr olds off and those kids have no parental supervision, which is frustrating to say the least. If they stopped that, the park would open up and be really enjoyable and pleasant to me. Parents or guardians should be present at all times in my opinion. Also many teens go and gang out in the lazy river and act wild, sometimes the lifeguards get onto them, sometimes not. Depends on the day I guess, I had planned on season passes but now I dont think I want my kids around the nonsense.

Love going to this place. Never crowded and is better than Killeen. Kids love it and they have a lazy river.

This is my first summer going and Im not impressed at all. The older kids are rude, they have no respect for other peoples space and the language that they use is appalling. The lifeguards have no control of these kids and told me theres nothing they can do about it. If it wasnt so close to my house they would not get my money......

The park itself was great. Priced so anyone can go and enjoy themselves. The womens bathroom was horribly dirty.

Park is very fun. They allow you to bring only water and soft drinks. They dont allow you to bring any food, not even a bag of chips. The park wants you to purchase their products and food, thats communist! I saw people in the parking lot eating because they couldnt bring their food inside. Sad. Thats the last time i go there. Today the side where the deep pool is at was closed. So basically half of the park was closed.
Too many kids under 14 dropped off by parents as thou its a daycare ! Kids are disrespectful cursing in the lazy river, and young kids basically making out in the park with no supervision! I wish they would start randomly asking the troublemakers were there parents are to see if there even there ! It should be illegal to drop kids off under 17! Signs need to be posted so that this helps the lifeguards do there job and not babysit unruly ghetto children ! We will never go back its just a shame that such a nice water park is just not family oriented! Maybe temple should raise there prices so that the lifeguards get paid for babysitting as well as making sure the little ones dont drown !

No food or drinks allowed in. My kids and I go to get drinks...there out of almost every drink...we get up to order and there out of ICE!!! I ask if someone is going to get some they tell me No! The only reason I gave 2 stars is due to pool being clean. Customers dont want to spend a bunch of money if you run out of everything.
