I wouldnt buy corals from here. the tanks have algae and many of the corals are looking like they are on their last days. Not to mention the people shopping there didnt use face mask, probably because the owner doesnt use one ether. Ill go to Deep sea creations, the store is hug so its easy to keep six feet apart and the owner uses a face mask so were the the shoppers.

I tried out another local professional and was mislead, then made to feel as though I was at fault. (You shouldnt sell someone a crustacean, an eel, and puffers for the same tank)After my poor experience I called the guys at Riptide and they IMMEDIATELY knew who I had dealt with even though I gave no names when I explained my situation. They then ordered me several exotic freshwater fish and advised me on a few other species I wasnt aware of that would thrive in my tank.If you are in Riverside and are looking for a lifelong store to purchase aquatic animals and supplies from then this is your spot.If youre Fire, EMS, Police, or Military then this is the place for you. As with most fish store in the area, its mostly about salt water. I do get that its where ya make the most money but for people like myself that would rather support a local business over Petco or PetSmart that basically wasnt an option. Freshwater selection very limited and very much over priced for the quality of fish. I dont mind spending $25 on a fish but it just needs to be healthy and quality fish for sure. The staff was nice and probably very knowledgeable buy I didnt truly test them as their freshwater selection really put me off sadly.

Hands down best coral store in the area. All the staff know what theyre doing and can halp with fish selection, Ive bought multiple fish from here and their old location, and never once got ich or aiptasia, unlike Fish Frenzy. They have great pricing and have really cleaned up the place since they bought out the other store and switched over. They also have a wide range of fish and coral, with fresh and saltwater available as well as used and new parts.
