Woodward West

The staff is amazing. Very understanding and compassionate. Gave me no problem when requesting to switch cabins to be with friends. Food is great, cabins are kept clean, each kid has their own bunk and nightstand, 2 showers and toilets per cabin. Lots of fun events to participate in (contests, tie dying, open gym, corn hole, etc). Instructors are very understanding and considerate, but push you to the best of your ability so you improve. Woodward connects you with people like no other place can. You make the best friends here. This place offers kids the time of their lives. Of my entire 17 years of living, this place gave me the best week of my ENTIRE life. I’d give anything to go back.

I havent been but I watch it all the time. This Christmas all Ive asked for is to come here because I love scootering I would love to be able to go pro one day.

My son (10 years old) loved the scooter camp. Good indoor and outdoor ramps, staff helpful. Heavy emphasis on safety but not to the point that it takes away from the fun. Its at higher elevation so cooler than other parts of southern California.

Cool looking place but I only worked here setting up for the Drone Racing League

This place is fantastic and the people are amazing. The environment is awesome. Would recommend Woodward for anyone looking to take themselves to the next step in their sport of choice.

Coming here for the Moxi Skate Camp was one of the best experiences of my life! So many fun and challenging places to skate. I cant wait to come back!

I want to go so bad but it seems as they made its only for the rich people like isnt skateboarding for everyone not just people with way to much money to spend.

Its a kids (or grown up kids) ultimate dream.This place is unbelievable.The staff is great and every person here has a big smile.

The facility itself is 5 stars! The hanger is awesome! The promise of 1-on-1 coaching from pro and pro-am skaters is a complete embellishment! In regard to skateboarding, over all this is a great place for exposure to some really big, well kept ramps and the outdoor street course obstacles are good too. I would have given it 5 stars but the pro and pro-am skaters really dont spend any of their time coaching the kids. They are there to skate and the kids get the opportunity to watch up close and thats it! The camp counselors dont watch the kids closely at all! The camp counselor we had was one of the kids dad that was staying the duration of the 3 day camp because he was getting a discounted rate and he was able to hang out and watch his own son! When we picked up our son up after 3 days, he hadnt showered or brushed his teeth because his camp counselor didnt care about any of the kids in his cabin except for his own son. I plan to send my kid to Ohio Dreams next time. It seems like it offers real 1-on-1 coaching and they actually watch your kid and care about their well being.

I’ve never been here but I’ll give them a 5 star because I’ve seen everything already. I have a question, do you have to pay to get in.

I have gone to this camp 4 or 5 times for gymnastics and skateboard. I did gymnastics 1 and haft times and then I switched to skateboarding and it is so fun I learn a lot of new things and the people are so nice. A lot of the times theres famous people there. Since Ive been there, there was Jason lee and his son pilot and David become. And before my week tony hawk and his son were there, and what people said they were vary nice all of them are. Its my favorite time of year when I cant go and I look so forward to going to it this year. This camp is so fun.

It was cool i went to the smi finals today and was hanging out with raymond warnenr and huntee shoutz. Ir is not really a place for lil kids but if u can do tricks and ur good and dedicated to this sport u should go and try it out

Parents beware! They do NOT have a professional medical staff onsite. More like a standard first aid station. If your child is hurt they have to take them to Bakersfield for medical services an hour away. This hospital is an absolute joke and should be known as it was not discussed when we made the arrangements for camp. My son spent 6 hours in ER getting a simple stich to close a small wound. You would think an extreme sports facility charging average $1200 per child would have a medical staff onsite. Not even close. Skip this camp at all costs.Would be sad to see if someone needed help with a broken neck or similar. Out in the middle of nowhere is not a place for an extreme sports facility with no doctors on staff. Would be better if set up next to quality hospital instead so if and when an accident happens there is help right away and no delays. Again, skip this camp at all costs.

I had the best time of my whole life here. I learned so many new tricks and had the greatest memories. I highly recommend going here, it is the best place on earth

I have so much praise for this camp/company. I am a travel agent and was helping arranging travel for a guest of mine, whos grandchild was going to Woodward West for Skateboard Camp.A company shows its greatest, when trails & tribulations occur, and at no part was Woodward West for this issue, but this is where their strengths begin.The child was flying as an unaccompanied minor back home, and we ran into major issues with Air Canada Rouge, failing to honor and support the unaccompanied minor service fee, that the guest had paid for.Despite Air Canada Rouge, failing to provide the service we paid for, the staff were advocates for this child. Doing whatever was possible to control the situation, giving support to a first time traveller with contact phone numbers and possible troubleshooting.They did everything so professionally and made what could have been a traumatic experience, to a life lesson, that will be kept with this child for the rest of his life.

U cant skate here for just a day and it costs 1000 bucks per person for a 6 day stay at camp. Screw this place they only want the rich to skate here. Skating is supposed to be for everyone but i guess the only way u get to enjoy top notch places like this is to be rich so screw woodward.

The stallion springs community is a perfect place for the premier training facility for young riders of all sorts. From scooter campers to professional bmx riders Woodward camp is the best place to make new and lasting friendships.The options here are endless there is plenty to ride out doors like the crater or dirt jumps or even the newer parkour section to challenge each and every skill level. Or rainy days the hangar is prime to show off your stunts. You can learn new trick into the foam pit take them to the Resi and then send it on the box. Located next to the gymnastics facility the indoor areas are second to none.I thankful to be apart of such a great community and world renown facility like Woodward.

Woodward west was the BEST week ive had in my entire life! The staffs are so cool and nice. You will NEVER EVER forget this summer!!!

This place is so awesome I met some really great friends there and there is so much exciting activities to do such as Karaoke, Dance Off, and even Talent Show if you go it will be a Summer you will never forget

My boys had a great time, BUT when my son did a scooter trick, HIT his head and was knocked unconscious they refused to call an ambulance or even make him to the hospital. He had a black eye, his neck was hurting and he could NOT remember what happened. He was also disoriented. The Med director insisted he was fine. I insisted they call an ambulance. I was told by her and the general manager that they were calling an ambulance all while they tried to explain their credentials to me. My older son was there also, so I was contacting him by phone. They even put my injured son on the phone to tell me he was fine after talking to him 10 minutes earlier and he was totally disoriented. Still no ambulance was called. I had to call the sheriff ( We live 6 hours from the camp) and have an ambulance go pick up my son. The hospital ER staff were astonished that Woodward staff did not call the ambulance or bring him in. He had a severe concussion black eye and was bruised up bad. After CT scan and xrays he is ok.Dr. Instructions to take him every 2 hours and make sure he was coherent. Doc said Woodward definitely should have brought him in or called ambulance. I am in shock at how Woodward West handled this.

My 13 year old is there for the film camp. part. She also skateboards. She said this is the best camp ever!

It was good lots of good sweets and sometimes even movies.

I live here, so I may be a little biased. We offer an enormous amount of scholarship funding from $100 to full ride, but you have to apply early

Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but my son LOVED the camp and I was pretty impressed with their organization and the skill level of the staff.

This was a great camp for the summer. Kids reach a new level of gymnastics when they attend Woodward.
