I gave it a four because some of the games were working other than that great place to spend time and fun with younger kids well even teenagers have fun and adults too its just a great all-around fun place.

It looked a lot better than it has in the many years before. They were probably able to clean it up a bit with everything going on recently. My kid had fun and just wanted to hit an arcade so bad. I like that they are open later so we can fit everything in on the weekend!

The games are fun, but some of the prizes are bogus. I got one of their American Flag rings two weeks ago, and it broke the same day. I got an elephant pen today, and it doesnt even write. If you want a prize dont get either of these two items.

I love nickelcade but honestly most games were out of order and the claw machines werent the best the claw was too loose I think the workers should check to make sure all there machines have tickets in it and they use to have the best prizes but now they barely have anything but I love how they still have nickels and tickets

I went here for my nephews birthday and actual had a great time! It was really crowded there but they had plenty of games to keep everyone busy! Staff was alright. Hit and miss depending on who was helping you, but overall, a very friendly and fun experience.

Priced well, staff who helped us was great, about 1/3 of the machines were out of order. Decent selection of games, though more 4 player games would be nice. Didnt feel too dirty. This place is awful all the machines are out of order and nobody will fix them as soon as one has something wrong with it they take and tap an out of order sign on it. The girl that was behind the counter was just on her phone consistently didnt even care that she had customers.

I used to love this place. Prices to enter were good and the games were pretty cheap. They started increasing the prices for the games to 4 or 5 nickels for many of them, which was disappointing.The most disappointing thing was their recent change to move to game cards instead of nickels and tickets. You add money to the card and swipe to play, then any tickets you would have won are deposited as points to your card.Half of the fun of the arcade was to give a handful of nickels to the kids and let them go wild.They will never experienced the joy of finding a nickel on the floor for one last game. They wont feel the excitement and surprise of someone accidentally leaving a nickel in the coin return.No more carrying around armfuls of tickets just to buy that one piece of junk they were saving up all night for.Oh well, I guess it saves the arcade a few bucks...

Took my roommates 6yr daughter there for about an hour. She won 603 tickets on the coin drop game. She was so excited and happy. It was kinda aggravating that only 1of the ticket counting machines was working, all n all she had a good time and it didnt cost a lot of money.

Some games work, some games dont its not the issue. The place needs some love and upgrades. Really fun and friendly for how small it is.

Place had a weird smell like the other reviews mention. A good chunk of the machines were out of order. Had multiple machines give less tickets than were won, and got tired of trying to get nickles back if the machines ate them. Overall it wasnt a horrible way to waste a few hours because it was so cheap for admission and games.

This place is pathetic. most of the machine does not work. They bought some machine in 1900 and still using it. complete waste of money. There are other good places in city go there. This shop is not worth a penny.

There arent many good classic titles here, mostly just gambling machine and modern cast offs. These machines arent really fun.Also surprised by the sheer number of broken machines on the floor! Half of the skeball machines were broken. TMNT only had ONE freaking controller working. And the air hockey machines were eating pucks up left and right.Not to mention, many of these machines expect 4-5 nickels per play. Also known as a quarter, which makes this less of a nickelcade and more of a arcade.

It was okay, half the games took more quarters then they required to work or took them completely. Half the baby rides didnt work.. the bathrooms were so gross. Dont do the claw machines they are a joke lol some close before plunging.. the games need calibration badly. The kids had a blast though and honestly thats what matters.

Dont lose sight of your kiddos here, I saw a few sketchy adults enter without kids. It is understaffed and kind of dirty but my kids love it. Im generally ok here for about 1.5 hours and then I start feeling anxious. My son decided to keep most of his nickels to spend at the dollar store.

Half of the games are out of order. And the other half just flat out take your money. For the most part the staff is nice. OhAnd no drinks at the gunshot thirst

I brought my niece & nephew to play here. We really enjoy coming here. We played the soccer game that gives tickets based off the goal you score it in (100, 80, 40, or 20 goal). It also gives you tickets if the nickels fall down into a hole.When I first got there, I hit 80 tickets goal & got about 20 more when nickels fell. I then hit the 100 tickets goal. I went off to play other games & went back 2 other times to play the soccer game in which I hit the 100 tickets twice more & got plenty more from nickels falling. I racked up 400 or more tickets. My nephew played after me & hit 100 tickets.When we went to count our tickets in the machine, the ticket machine counted only 205 tickets for me & when my nephew put his 100 in with mine, the final count was 289 I asked one of the employees if the machine was broken & explained to her the situation. She referred me to another employee & that employee asked me if I had made the goal in the same hole. Well yeah because each time I went back that same hole was saying 100 tickets. She said that I was wrong & that it goes down each time you make it in the hole. I kept trying to tell her that it didn’t & that each time I played it said 100. She wouldn’t listen, dismissed what I was saying, & walked away. The other employee wouldn’t even step in or anything to help.My husband told me not to raise hell in there for the bad customer service because we had the kids with us & to leave this review instead. So here it is.

They have fix many machines in coin deposits. In some ones we cant play 2 gamers, and the restrooms are so stinky as drain. Are duty, not paper toilet. So BAT.

First time we went there they closed the till 30 minutes before closing so we couldnt get coins. Second time we came two hours before closing and they closed the prizes. Definitely would not recommend this location. Very poor customer service.

I used to love this place as a kid. It was a dream come true. Its kind of sad that I came here as an adult with high expectations and was so severely let down.First, not every game is just one nickel. In fact, most require 3 or 4 nickels per play. Sure, thats better than a quarter like at most other arcades, but the difference between my expectations and what I got was pretty sad.Second, they have plenty of stickers that say please let us know if any of the games are broken, but that system doesnt work very well when every single skee-ball is broken and half of the other games. Nickels get stuck so frequently that youd spend half of your time waiting in line to tell the workers.On the bright side, the games are pretty awesome, and they mostly all work well. Its only $2.25 per person to get in, so you can bring the whole family and have a good time for under $20. I still had a good time, though I was partially disappointed. Id recommend everyone go at least once, and then you can decide if its worth it.

Nickelcade is a fun family activity that doesnt cost much. Not all of the games work and I personally think they need cameras or just more staff just in case someone accidentally leaves something important behind. Oh and parents, please control your children. I dont want to see little boys walk up to my baby and slap her with their new winnings ever again.

This place was very low quality, and about half of the machines were broken. I went for one game I really wanted to play and it was getting repaired, and when it was done the staff started playing it for over an hour and a half! So my suggestion is if you go to an arcade make sure its not this one

I went here with my friends and I sure did enjoy coming back here after like 5 years and boy have the games changed some take money which not every arcade game always it perfect some out of order which you see in an arcade and you so many familys having fun like most people did. And the prizes are a lot of tickets if you play the right games you can get a lot of tickets to go and get almost anything and yes some of the stuff cost a lot of tickets but then how do you think this place makes money and yes the fee is annoying but $2.25 is not a lot plus the nickels are just money and you can bring nickels from home

Enjoyable games! Be careful however a few of the games are still running but have broken controls or bad displays, which wastes your nickels. The ddr is still in great condition and they have a great selection of coin pushers.

My 9 year old daughter is rating it a 4/5 stars. Her reason is that she played some fun games that had ticket dispensers, but they didnt dispense any tickets, so that was disappointing for her. Also, they didnt have the prize in stock that my daughter wanted. Overall fun time though. We won over 1000 tickets. I would take the family there again.

Sure it’s a nickel but when it’s on 5-6-7-8 machines in the first 15 minutes of being in the arcade... WOW. To try to ask for help from the 3 teenage girls at the desk is like asking your toddler to clean their room. “We will be there in a minute” while we finish our conversation AND you lose some more $ while waiting. Not to mention being told “you could just leave?” As if that was the best resolution they could come up with for the fact that nothing here works. I used to love this place when I was younger... I’ll NEVER be back after today.

Majority of my life Ive heard my cousins tell me about a magical land full of timeless classic arcade games for the legendary price of a nickle. Never thought Id see this place, but since moving here to Utah I just had to make that trip. Literally played Street Fighter for 2 hours and only used 8 nickles. Great family friendly place. Tons of game titles to choose from. Even has ticket games where you can redeem prizes like candy, toys, accessories, etc. Me, myself and my in laws(along with their kids)spent about $30-$35 bucks and we were here for well over 4 hours. Great fun and great vibes all around.

The prizes are relatively typical chotchkis until you get really high end tickets. It always blows my mind how quickly teenage boys can go through a five dollar cup of nickels. We went for my 18 year Olds birthday and didnt plan ahead for the birthday party program, but he and his 11 friends 15-25 had a blast so I cant complain.

Some games are broken and unplayable and it really sucks cause they really interesting to play. Another thing is that they should add a new arcade game such as the maximum time 5

We went to celebrate my granddaughters 8th birthday. The kids had fun. However dealing with the female manager was a nightmare! We had a party of nine, that I paid for, however my pregnant daughter-in-law was late joining us and the manager refused to let her in saying she had to pay the $2.25 entrance fee and then called her a nasty name! Both of my sons went up to the desk and said we had paid for nine people, but the manager insisted that they had counted all of our people who had come in and it was nine. We said we paid for nine but only eight of our party were in the arcade as we were waiting for my other daughter-in-law. She responded that it wasnt her responsibility to keep track of the people in our party...what?? One minute she says they counted everyone and the next she says it isnt her responsibility to count? This young woman has a MAJOR attitude problem. There was another young woman working at the counter who was soft-spoken and willing to help, but the manager kept rudely interrupting and then turned around and yelled at her staff! Wow! I wont be bringing my grandchildren back to this facility ever again. Imagine having a manager who cant control her mouth or her temper working in a place that is supposed to cater to young children. I have been unable to find the owner of this particular venue, but if they are concerned about the future of their business theyll fire the current manager and hire someone with more maturity and better customer service skills.

Good family fun at the classic arcade. Only a couple bucks to get on and then nickels to operate the arcadeThere were a fair number of arcades not working but still plenty to enjoy. From ski ball to Ninja turtles to lots of games to get tickets to racing games there is something for most everyone there.

Very poor nickel arcade. Over 1/3 of their machines are out of order, and 2/3 steal your money (only register every other nickel bc they are out of repair). Most of the two player games have at least one side broken, so almost everything is single player. Went here on a date and left early because we were bored and annoyed.

Will NEVER go here again. It stinks inside, its dirty and half the games dont work and when my son won the Jackpot where he would spend all his nickles (20$) kept Winning Jackpot half of the tickets didnt come out the Manager said sorry we cant give you any remaining tickets for what reason I have no idea so we returned all my kids change and left. Horrible Customer service!! Now we go to Nickel Mania its a little bit better.

Havent been here in yrs. Took my younger neice and nephew tonight and left. About 4 of the 20 machines they put coins in didnt work. We took the rest of the nickels to nickel mania on state st.

Its always fun and very much worth the money on occasion they will have a few out of order signs but overall they are really good about fixing the machines. Or reimbursing you change back.

One of the employees saw that I really wanted a pencil bears that I missed since I was a child and I ask if there was anyway to get that since I was like ten tickets off and the employee said just take it and gave me a nice smile so thank you guy
