*Updating from 1 star to 3*We decided to try them again. Its very possible they do read these and made some changes. They said nothing about us not wearing masks. Their highchairs were cleaner. Their employee whom rang us up was very cheerful which was a nice change. The variety was WAY better. They actually had the stromboli which I hadnt seen since they reopened and is my favorite. Id honestly forgotten about it until my husband put it on my plate. My eyes lit up . Wish theyd have ham/hawaiian on their rotation consistently. Havent seen that out unless we specifically ask. We will continue coming and as experiences consistently improve, I will update.I hesitated to post this. But its been 2 weeks and Im still uncomfortable returning to your restaurant. Weve been coming for years. At times, weekly. With 3 kids 3 and under its been the best outing for us as a family. Weve loved it. That is.. until 2 weeks ago. You have plastic shields over your food. You have guests each take a fresh plate and tongs for each round at the buffet. It was not a busy night but when my husband went up for what wouldve been our 4th plate (he grabs for us all, we share) you very rudely told him that if he didnt put a mask on next time he came up you would ask us to leave. You didnt legally assume he had a medical exemption (which he does). You didnt even ASK if he had one. You were very rude and quite honestly your actions were criminal. This is still America. My husband fought for this country that you so lazily and happily get to enjoy. And you REFUSE to serve him. A veteran. Because he didnt wear a mask to go grab 3 slices of pizza while he was using a clean plate, with clean tongs, with no one around, with a plastic shield over your pizza, only to go sit down next to tables of other people without masks on! Shame on you!Oh and your highchairs were all FILTHY by the way. Your dinosaur shooter game has a wire console sticking out since at least JANUARY. In a KIDS area. Your employees have always been unfriendly and look miserable. All but one. Hes always been your unspoken VIP to us but we havent seen him since you reopened.Clean up your act! We probably will never return. Which probably wont hurt you but I cant tell you how sad it makes me for my boys who LOVE coming there.

Everytime we are visiting family in Elgin, the kiddos ask to run over to Taylor for some Mr. Gattis. Where else do we get to ride indoor bumper cars. They always have a clean restaurant and buffet. We even had one of my sons birthday parties in one of their private rooms a few years ago. Tuesday is half price games and $10 kept each kiddo busy for an hour in the game room.

Salad bar was good and fresh. Pizza was alright, somewhat cold but not bad .

1st time going to this one. You have to pay for a buffet whether you planned on eating or not. I get why they do that because its an open buffet, I think they could change that rule and put bands on those who paid for the buffet rather then making people who didnt come to eat pay for something their not going to use. Game room is a little small. Glad we left when we did because it looked like a baseball game had ended and the teams were coming there to celebrate. Its fine as long there is no more then 20 people in the game room at a time. Had a good selection of pizza to chose from. But the face guard they have over the salad bar makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to reach past the 2nd row for toppings. You seriously have to squat down and try to stretch your arm out as far as you possibly can while having your face planted on the glass. Yuk. They kept the dinning area very clean and the employees that were taking our used plates were very nice and polite. They get 5 stars. All in all its a good place to go and hang out with your family or to just go for the buffer. We will def go back.

Nice staff and Polite. However on the time that we went to eat the salad was not fresh, there was some kind of bug in the peaches tray and there was not pizza. They only had 1 pizza and cinamon sticks almost gone. In my experience it was not good because I feel that if I pay to eat at a buffet it should have a selection of food. Why call it a buffet if is not going to be food.

Great service and the new system is very sanitary. Shout out to the employees and the ones that take care of the dishes. Must be alot because of the new system. Well now we dont have to grab the same spatula that someone else that maybe didnt wash after using the bathroom did. Great job team

We called the order in. Called back to make sure they had a name. They had the order wrong so she corrected it. When we got there the order was wrong. They had us having a medium cheese pizza. Wrong again was to be Canadian bacon. They remade it.We got them home and realized they gave us thin crust when we ask for original.

Always been a Gattis fan... Ever since my high school years when I would go eat lunch across the street to my local Gattis!When my local place closer a few years ago, I thought it was gone for good. Thankfully, I was wrong. Good place to get some hot and delicious pizza, fresh and crisp salad, got pasta, and plenty of dessert choices (LOVED the cinnamon bread!) Lots of clean tables and the bathrooms were pretty decent as well. The only bad thing I could say was that the pizza did not make itself quick enough! Obviously a popular place so when dinner rush started, everyone had to wait a bit for the pizza too come out. No problem for me, it was worth it.

Dont ever order a pizza for pick up in the drive thru. Will not get it right. 1st time forgot to give us the salad and ranch dressing. Banged on the window for 3 minutes and they finally answered.Gave us the salad and dressing.Drove home in Thrall Texas to find out that the pizza was wrong as well.Drove all the way back to Taylor to complain. They really didnt care and offered to make another one or store credit.No discount or coupon for their mistakes and really no sincere apology from them.All in all drove 40 miles (2 trips) for a disappointing experience.Only reason that I gave them one star is because it wouldnt let me give them zero stars.

My husband love Gattis pizza in Taylor and management. Very clean, I am not a pizza fan but love there salads and cheese bread. We both win!

If you are a kid or have kids it is a good place for them.., but as for an adult, the pizza is not very good and the salad so small it was turning brown, not a winner in my book. Not at all worth $11 a person for a buffet.

This place is kw where as good as the one in round rock off I35 u cant order the pizza u like for them to put on the Buffet and they will not make specialty pizza for the Buffet like light sauce the one in Round Rock will make anything that you ask for just overall better service in Round Rock but what pizza they did have out wasnt to bad

Ok. Be a the cashier needs a raise...she is an excellent first person to meet. Salads were average. Pizza was average. Table clean up person was eager to take your used plates.

My mother just got of the hospital/nursing home from heart surgery after 4 1/2 months yesterday and one of the first things she wanted to do was go eat Gattis. We live 45 minutes away but we kept our promise. You did not disappoint!

During lunchtime the pizza is not made frequently so there might be times where you have to wait for pizza to be made at the buffet line.

Plenty of people ther. The pizza was cold.

They wouldnt make a pizza without sauce. Kinda rude and didnt explain why. Couldnt keep the buffet stocked. Didnt have anything with Alfredo sauce.I asked what the yellow sprinkled stuff was on sine if the desserts. She thought it was coconut. I never got a real answer.

This is a great place for kids. The arcade was a little shoddy in places. There were only two bumper cars working. It is by no means a bad place though. It just needs some work.

Good pizza buffet! Salad bar has a good. Pasta bar had several choices. There are many types of pizza on the buffet. They are quick to get new pizza out so the buffet does not run out.

This place always has a fresh crisp salad bar, hot pizza and a huge variety of drink choices. But the greatest thing that makes it worth the 15 minute drive for us is the wonderful service! Everyone is so nice. The floor staff keeps me everything so clean and are very courteous. The counter staff are very accommodating to even the pickiest eaters!

Not a good day for Mr. Gattis. A busted pipe caused the water to shut off, no working soda machines, bathrooms disgusting, as toilets cant flush, seen cleaner porta pottys. Felt kinda ripped off as dishes pizza pans couldnt be properly washes, so jalepeno juice on them, and the serving spatulas. Had to leave just to go to the restroom. I hadnt been to gattis in years and was very disappointed
