That side of the museum isn’t open anymore. The IMAX theatre and butterfly garden is basically abandon, and I don’t think they plan on opening or putting any money towards fixing it either. Last time I went a lady who worked there told me that they didn’t want to pay to have the technology updated in the IMAX itself.

The first part of the show was a short film with two kids who arrive to a telescope, while a narrator discusses types of telescopes made, Galileos discovery of the solar systems structure and early builds of the telescope. The second part was a nice display using a star projector as the guide pointed out notable stars, distinguished the milky way, and talked about some astrological Constellations near our time of the year. One star gets retracted due not entirely to the fault of the guide but rather the evident miscommunication between them and the front desk. Multiple families interrupted the near beginning of the show because they did not realize they had to pay additional to enter. Also, while of course the museum is built for children interaction, one should expect children to disrupt the experience, which is a heartbreak of you genuinely want to immerse yourself.Generally, I only suggest going there if you only actually want to learn about what they present. You may find it boring or not worth the money if you only treat the experience haphazardly since what they actually explain tends to be difficult to understand.

Really wasnt expecting to it being boaring. The other parts of the planetarium they said was getting rid of also for the VR,Game room and something else you had to pay for, for 5-9 dollars. What a rip off. Never going here again until they change it up. I was very disappointed.

This was a 20 min add for Google followed by a boring lecture by one of the people who take tickets, using a laser pointer to circle little light dots on the ceiling. This is garbage and a waste of money and time.

Terrible planetarium show. The first 20 minutes is a movie about the Mayans. Not what I signed up for!
