Had an absolutely great time and I didnt even drink. The band that played was amazing! The sound was a bit too loud but wow, they were great. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive... that makes a huge difference. And the food was good. I had jerk chicken wings and fries. Recommend this place for a fun night out.

This place is soooooo nice! Love the live music. Our waiter (Reggie) was pleasant and very attentive. I ordered the grilled shrimp and grits and it was amazing!! Im not a huge fan of gravy on my grits but this was an exception. Appetizers are not necessary because the portions are large. Highly recommended!

This place is amazing! If you are wondering if it is worth it, it is! We could fly anywhere in the world to see anyone and this weekend we chose The Beat Down band over everyone else! They are phenomenal! I must add that the staff is so customer service oriented. They go out their way to make sure you are happy. The atmosphere is beautiful. The DJ is great. I loved the fish and grits the first time I went but it is not always available. The wings are delicious. Reserve your table in advance and youll have an amazing time!

Went a few weeks ago. The band was on point as always. Drinks were on point. But what I love is the maturity of this spot. This is that I came to have fun/no drama venue. In addition I must commend the manager and her staff. The night I was there someone had a medical crisis. They were beyond words respectful, engaged, attentive, and professional. Situations like that are not expected and are a challenge to manage. But they were able to flow with the situation. #kudos

The Beat Down band is one of my favorites in the area. Staff is mildly polite. This is the only place in Tampa to get this type of feel. Seems larger than its previous location in ybor city. Need more waitstaff. If you called in and pay for VIP you still have to pay for entrance which doesnt make sense to me. In other cities and venues that is not the case.

Great entertainment great drinks drive from Orlando Florida to Tampa just to go there. Any friends that come to town I take them there. The bartender Drew is fantastic.

New location is great!! Love the live music. A bit pricey and don’t like you have to pay to get in even when you buy a table. Good atmosphere, sophisticated crowd, good food. Dress code enforced. Staff could be a little friendlier when you call to purchase a table. But overall nice spot.

We came into town to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted to hear jazz. This is not a jazz event, but it was nice. Food was delicious. Band played well.

Each time Ive came it was pure fun and professionalism. Not too mention those shrimp and grits are to die for. Ultimately the most upscale place for all people of color in the Brandon area. Dont forget to reserve those seats in advance .

This is a top notch establishment for grown and sexy urban patrons. This spot is sophisticated but still not pretentious as the staff are really warm and down to earth. The times I was there there was a live R&B band on stage on the inside and DJ on the patio outside. Admission was not crazy $10 for guys and women were free until 10pm. The crowd was a mix of happy hour professionals as well as peeps headed out for a night on the town. The fact that it was a mixed/diverse crowd speaks volumes of this spots quality. Highly recommended

Great spot but the seating is ridiculous!!! If you didnt call to reserve a table you are pretty much going to stand and dance all night. Otherwise, its a great time.

This place was actually pretty nice. I did feel like the average age was about 10 years my senior, but I was told that more of my music was played outside. The band was fire that night, and the music was cool outside. Tried the wings and had a few drinks at the bar. It wasnt crazy hectic and people bumping into each other. Just a nice relaxing night, perfect for the date with wifey. Ill definitely be back again soon!

I just found out I had been calling at the wrong time, I just received a phone call from one of the clubs reservation representatives.She informed me in detail that there are certain times of the day the answer for reservations! I had it all wrong & thought that I had to wait until the club open at night to speak with someone! Im glad she cleared that up for me! I will be passing this information along! The worst experience Ive ever had during an evening out. My party was asked to pay a cover charge to enter the venue after we clearly stated we wanted seating. Well, we paid only to find ALL tables were reserved and we had to stand. Immediately asked for chairs or a refund, we were offered a $250 VIP table. Dont believe the reviews, this was a classless venue clearly interested in making money, not customer seevice. I will never recommend it to anybody, ever! By the way, the restroom is in the hotel not the club.

Overcharged, cramped, food orders were terribly mixed up and waited an hour for a drink, the hostess at the door taking cover was rude. The only restroom is INSIDE the hotel, next door! Security is a joke, three people just skipped being charged a cover fee just by going around the side entrance through the hotel and never got a pat down.The food was good but forget about mixing options, half my food had been eaten when I got it. Then I get charged for something else that I didnt order and had to wait for the manager to come out to pardon the mistake. I left bitter and disgusted with my girlfriend who had never been to a jazz club.

Love the Jazz house. I started going when they were originally in Ybor City. I love Thursday nights because its ladies night and you get in free. The drinks are a bit pricey which is why the 4 stars. They didnt use to always be like that. The beat down band which plays on Thursday nights is really good. They play new and ole stuff. They get you moving. I dont like the televisions on when the band is playing. Its a bit distracting. They should have the television on outside for those that want that or watch whats going on in sports. They didnt have that in the other location. This location is connected to a hotel. Havent been there. The bartenders are pretty nice. I definitely have a good time when I go.

I had my birthday party here on April the 20th Nikki was the most amazing server that we could have possibly had the music was phenomenal the drinks were great it was a little bit pricey but i did reserve the party deck area for me and my family and we had A-blast even the owner came to meet me as well as the Chef D to make sure that all my needs were met. for a grown and sexy feel it was the best night ever thank you Jazzhouse supper club for THE BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!!.

The Jazz house - beautiful location. I was turned off by security telling me about the cover charge and the young lady behind the booth acting like I was an inconviniece. I pay, then security fumbles to put a wrist band on my wrist then he steps out of the way for me to open the door (what a gentle man). The 1st drink I ordered was $9 and an hour later the same drink was $10 ( 1st one was at 11PM and next one was at 12AM) . Then around 12:30 the bar-back decides to clean the floor with what seemed to be pure bleach, he just poured it right from the bottle to the floor, causing my eyes to burn for the next 15 minutes. The last thing I would like to mention is the wait staff attire, for that beautiful location the staffs attire should match the ambiance. That Roscoe band was awesome!

I had the pleasure of visiting this venue during the Thanksgiving holiday. Im a huge fan of live music and found the club on Google. The band was phenomenal! Most importantly, I want to mention the bartender, India. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming and provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service! I enjoyed myself so much, I actually went back the next night. I would definitely recommend this club if you enjoy live music and excellent customer service. I will return the next time I visit Tampa, thats a guarantee.

The atmosphere was great and the live entertainment was phenomenal. However, the downsize was the lack of seating available and over pricing. In order to get a seat (not at the bar) you needed to pay a reservation fee, between $40 - $200. The reservation needed to be made in advance (even though they do not answer the phone). The place was over crowded and there were more people standing than sitting (even though there were seats available). There was also a cover charge. With better planning and more available seating for patrons it will be a great place to hang on the weekend.

Nice place for grown folks to relax and listen to jazz. Just hate that the DJ outside plays the same tracks every weekend. But the love band inside is amazing...they sing the same songs over again as well. Maybe theyll have a new set of songs soon. Love this place anyhow

I am new to area and was looking for a place to sit back relax and listen to jazz, I was sadly mistaken. This is a great place for girls night out or anytime you’re in party mode. It’s R&B club with live music good place but not what I was looking for.

My son Richard took my there to celebrate my Birthday whichh was Halloween. We were there the Saturday after.Have a fabulous time. The band was awesome. We had such a good time that we were back on the 16th of Nov to celebrate my cousins birthday which was Nov 18th. We turned it out. Love me some Jazz House.

Great food,beautiful setup, nice location, and the band and outside DJ were awesome. The only two things I would love to change: are a bigger dance floor and table reservations. If you dont reserve a table you will have to stand. The inside tables sell two weeks in advance. We were able to get one outside on the patio. We had a blast!

It was really nice but no seating available at all unless you book in advance in which you dont know about unless you are from the area or until you get there. The live band was really good except one person he was too cute to mingle with people. Overall it is a nice spot.

The great thing about this place is the band and the decor! I honestly do hope it gets better in time ! The table service was slow We only saw 2 waiters the whole night possibly a staffing issue and the food was not that great.. I will stop by again maybe on a different night just because its such a dope place and the Band is Magnificent!

Expensive for what you get, got two drinks and wings, which is what we were told to buy for a table and it came out to $80 thats including a $10 gratuity, i asked for some water and of course they brought bottled water which is $3 a pop. This place was AWESOME!!! First time since I moved to Florida that I felt at home with my own people. Mostly over 45 y/o and older crowd, black and latino. The DJ was great! Lots of 90s, 80s and 70s R&B music before and between the live jazz band sets. The live music was amazing. The ambiance is spectacular. Worth paying the reservation because otherwise youre standing if you dont arrive early enough. Drinks are too expensive... I was like, ya DO realize your establishment is in the middle of nowhere, FL?! Other than that, PHENOMENAL!

One of the best kept secrets here in Tampa on Monday night. It is at the Clarion Hotel. Live music started at 6:30 and was fantastic. Tey the bartender is so hospitable she made us feel at home and her drinks are great. The food is so good. We had the Lobster Mac and cheese and Fried Catfish and grits. Both came out hot fresh and delicious . They even had Monday Night Football on a huge big screen TV on the Terrace. We will go back again.

I was there for my birthday this summer. I live in Michigan and it was a lovely experience. The host and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Cant wait to get back.

Visited from Charlotte NC for New Years eve. The band was PHENOMENAL. True musicians. We didnt have dinner but the food looked well prepared. The atmosphere was for grown folks and the interior and exterior bars were well staffed. Will definitely be back!

VIP area is very poorly accommodated. Food was terrible, service sucked, pretty much unprofessional. The only thing that helped the night was the music. Live band was decent. Dress code wasnt enforced like it says online. There was even an individual on the dance floor barefooted. I expected more from things I heard about the place.

The atmosphere is nice, but I didnt stay long because the music was too loud. We could not talk to the people we were there with because it was that loud. My ears and head are still throbbing. The acoustics need to be balanced better to give a smoother and enjoyable sound.

The only seats that dont cost are at the bar which has an obstructed view of band from all of the bar products and equipment.I can listen to jazz at home in my living room.
