Please please PLEASE do not go to this school. Its a huge scam for unsuspecting high schoolers who dont know better. Yes, I scammed when I was 18 and I am in my 30s and still paying my debt off to this sad excuse of a college. Dont make the same mistake as me. They pretty much ruined my life. I hope I save someone else with this review.

If you are interested in the design programs DO NOT GO HERE. they lack adequate resources to provide you with the well-rounded education needed to be successful(which is of course what they offer). i am an alum, and i can say that i learned for one year of my program, the rest was tired repetition. this is not a place where answers and help are readily given to you.as a student you need to put in what you want to get out of this place. if you are fresh out of high school and want to get into school quickly, you need to know exactly what you want. dont come here just to get a degree, its too much money to waste your time like i did.

It’s a con job of a college. I went there and regretted almost immediately. The degrees are useless, but the scam is real. This place will lie to you and steal your money. Don’t ever go here!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Attended back in 2007, classes were a joke, some teachers showed Youtube as the course lessons, couldnt properly answer questions, and I even had a class in which a teacher didnt teach anything and told us to use it as study time. I had 2 identical classes as well, different name, same exact lessons. PLEASE avoid this for profit school.

This school is great! I am part of the Media arts and animation program. The professors here are active professionals in their field. They constantly consult, and check in on students to make sure that they are getting what they need out of their education. Im so grateful that I chose to come to this school! There are few students here so, its a tight knit community where all your questions get answered. My work here has improved exponentially thanks to my instructors pushing me to do better and critiquing my work. Seriously, if youre serious about animation, game design, or at least working in the creative field, this is the school for you.

Its a get out what you put in school. You can go 4 years and not learn much, or graduate with a paid job in the industry and tons of connections. Join a club, ask teachers for work in the industry, TAKE YOUR SENIOR PROJECT SERIOUSLY, check out and learn different pieces of equipment and take use of the massive library of images, videos, books, and films and youll get your moneys worth.

I currently go to the Art Institute here in Tampa. I am currently in the interior design program. I am almost into my second year going here and I have no complaints. Maybe I could complain about how the elevator breaks down every two days or how when I first got here the art kit that is given to you for your program many of us students had many things missing. I had to go out and buy a lot more art supplies then I budgeted for. But honestly its not like Im not going to use them being in the industry and school that I am going to. The Art Institute has done nothing but answer my questions and give me full support. I love being a student here in many of the teachers love teaching here as well. I just wish they would give Adam kits ;) more classes. He was my basics teacher for drawing and I wish I had him and more classes. Honestly the Art Institute of Tampa is in a great location and and the great building theres plenty of parking like I said the only thing I could complain about is that the elevator breaks down every 2 to 3 days.

Recently re enrolled and was told everything was good to go and at the end of the first week I get withdrawn because i didnt attend orientation. Even though a school rep told me I didnt have to worry about it since I was a readmission. Them they told me theres nothing they could do even though it was their staffs fault for the misinformation.

If there was less than a star then I would rate them less than one star. Its unfortunate the staff is so rude and uncaring and have the nerve to charge crazy money to attend that school. My daughter went there and graduated and doesnt owe the school one penny but when we requested some information from the school... we are a nuisance. Out of the entire staff we did have a good experience with Tara H. FA Director and Chez an advisor but the rest of those clowns.. no thank you.

Horrible experience, I attended in 2016, they pre enrolled into more classes then they were supposed to. I dropped the classes before class even stated. Moved few months later to my new House, just to find out 2 years later they claiming I have almost $3000 of debt with that they didn’t even submit until late 2017 to the VA. All paperwork went to my old address so it looks like I was ignoring debt I never knew existed. So thanks to their incompetence, my check has garnished. I’m a single mom with kids and mortgage. After speaking with benefits advisors and them reviewing my paperwork, they’re not even convinced I have close to that amount of debt if any. Thanks a bunch AI

I went here for a year and I have to say that the teachers are very knowledgeable but the office could care less about you. I was at the hospital for a while and they dropped me out of class. Trying to call the office and get someone to help or talk to me to get me back into the school was like pulling teeth. I would call several times a day and be sent to voicemail, I would leave messages asking for a call back with my information and I would still never hear from them. I even tried emailing several people and still did not receive anything. I am spending so much money in this school you would think that they would at least act like they care about their students.

BS school. Game program had 1 teacher for the entire program and most of the classes were fillers. They charge you for parking every quarter, whether you park at the school or not. They push private loans like a mother trucker and in no way give you scholarship options. If you dont check where the money is going, you will be charged for BS things that were errors when you find them. Dont do the school housing. They charge one person (when I was there) $650 to share a room in a 2 bedroom apartment (total of $2600) that you can get with the same people for $200 per month if you do it on your own, and you can STILL have your loans pay for it. Apartments were only $800 for the 2 bedroom and the school steals the $1800 profit from your student loans. Teachers will pass anyone, just for the money for the school. Some of the people I graduated with/graduated after me still couldnt figure out the software.

I went to this school from 2011-2013 for media arts and animation, and I have a lot of mixed feelings. Id give it two and a half stars if I possibly could. Dealing with administration was a nightmare, some of the teachers were just terrible and would pass anyone just to pass them, the cost is absolutely outrageous (Im still buried under a mountain of debt), and some of the classes are severely lacking. Despite that, I did have some good instructors, I met a number of great people Im still friends with, and I still learned some stuff.

This school is terrible, it is a rip off, and they are rude! I went to the school years back from like 2007 to the end of 2008 and they used to charge five dollars just to get transcripts and the process is a hassle and they are rude about it! Dont waste your time and money at this terrible school. You can research schools for this type of curriculum that will NOT put you in massive student loan debt. I wish I new better at 18 and 19.

Back in 2009 my son applied to attend culinary arts. After he was accepted, and attending classes for about 4 or so weeks he was told he was no longer able to attend because he did not have a high school diploma, which he did have. The school messed up in getting records. He did apply for student loan at the time. After proving he had a high school diploma he had to re apply all over again. But at that time his grandmother went with him and told school not to go through student loan and that she would pay for his schooling. He was to start all over in Jan of 2010. After a month or so he was informed he was no longer a student in the school because he was not attending classes. When we went up to the school to straighten this out, the school was institant that he was not attending classes. My son fought hard trying to prove he was in class by telling then what he had learned and what was being taught in the different classes. But that fell aponnd deaf ears. Was told he could no longer be on campus. We both were very upset!!! Now years later he gets a collection notice this past weekend that he owes over $4,000 in student loans! WHAT???? Been trying to get thru on phone to school to speak to some one in financial aid. NO ONE picks up the phone at that school. Now we are in for a battle to straighten this out!! Too me the school is a tip off and leaves people in debt!!!

You will learn more and save money watching youtube! The baking and pastry program is a joke, your grades depend on the only pastry instructor who grades you depending one if she likes you or not! You will have to spend more time in regular cooking classes than baking& decorating! I left the school in 2008 then when I returned 2016 to finish they could not get my student number to therefore I had no other way to get online to do homework and get important info for 5 weeks by the time I could login I had Fs in all of my classes that I brought up to Cs, as a result I was dismissed, they said my gpa was too low after that, so I had to do an appeal. I did the appeal then started again, well I was struggling as a single parent but still doing my assignments and production,in that quarter I got 2Bs and a C-, this time I got academically dismissed completely! They said I got an overall 1.96 Gpa and I needed a 2.0. Go to hcc for some classes, then try to reapply at A.I I was told. I was heartbroken I should have been graduating this yr instead Im stuck with loans and extra $$ to pay the school for a complete waist of time! Dont do it!!

I was almost lured in by the bells and whistles of the Media Arts program but I had this nagging feeling since I never was tested to see if I could even draw a straight line. after getting as far as financial aid, which was a joke since all I was presented with was the approximate cost and pressure to secure a private loan - which meant a co-signer. Let the buyer beware!! U am glad I backed out when I did.

Do not go here. Graduated from here, one of the few to get a job in my field ( no thanks to this for profit school) . Its a degree mill. You will end up with absurd debt (90k) and little job prospects. This goes for every major. The curriculum is a joke. Ive graduated, been successful and gone to an actual university, so Ive gone through every motion. This place is a business, not a school. Businesses are there to make money. Thats all. You can get a better education, with better starting pay at a fraction of the cost at USF. USF = $2500 a semester (transferrable) Ai = $ 6000 a quarter which is not the same as a semester. Its shorter and USF is regarded higher in the community. Be smart, do your research. Do you want to pay $30k or $90k for an education.

This location employs telemarketers for donations who refuse to follow the FTC TSR rules. They have called 40 times in the past 4 days, and when I finally answered the phone and asked them not to call anymore, they called back and left a message saying Due to recent changes in the FTC laws, we do not have to comply with requests to stop calling. We are a charity organization and those laws do not apply.Which is -wrong-. The FTC TSR laws were set in place over a decade ago and there have been no amendments giving rights back to for-profit or paid telemarketers. The Art Institute of Tampa is a for-profit tuition-ran educational institute and while they may have a donation system, they are NOT a legally recognized charity organization registered on any nationally regulated list that may be considered exempt from the FTC TSR laws. You can not hire telemarketers to solicit calls for donations and remain exempt from the FTC TSR laws. On top of the fact that while a charity may be exempt from federal fines, they normally arent ******** who ignore requests to stop calling!

A Horrible school. The teacher while they may be knowledgeable they also play favorites. Some of the teachers do not have the patience to even teach you or explain something. The culinary classrooms were over crowded. I Am 60,000 in debt. The schooled aded on loans that I DID NOT approve and they had no proof of my signature. I tried to get them to cancel them but by than it was too late. The culinary and baking program is a joke you only get 12 weeks to learn a cretin class and even than it is only 1 or two days a week. You barely even get your feet wet. Instead of learning in the classroom they give you more homework and test and not enough field experience. The loan office the people there are the worst. they do not wanna help you and act as we are wasting there time. They are rude and do not tell yout he whole truth untill it is to late. Another problem when getting a job when your employers hear the word Art Institue they will not hire you because of all the previous employees have made such a bad impression and also because you have not learned enough from the school. I got this information from a couple different businesses.Do NOT go to this school. I wish I had listened to other people when they said this is such a horrible school and had gone somewhere else and had not wasted there money.
