Attended wedding catering by John Mason from Brooksville food was awesome very nice venue lots of space 1st time there
We could not have dreamed of a better venue to host our wedding! This historic building is absolutely gorgeous. There are tons of details that add beauty and character to the aesthetic, but not so many that it takes away from the vision for your special event! Its truly the perfect blank canvas.Hope was also very accommodating and helpful, and was always available to answer any questions our planner had as we worked to coordinate each detail for our big day. With lots of vendors, it was also a huge plus that we had access to the venue starting at noon, and as late as 2 a.m. afterward. MUCH more accommodating than some of the other locations we looked into!We truly had the most wonderful wedding day experience, and would highly recommend the Rialto for your future events!
A perfect place for our church to meet each Sunday. Roomy and comfortable.
Nice venue for wedding or party. GreT location near Waterworks and Armature Works.
Beautiful place. Our church holds service here and it is just such a beautiful place.
Stunning venue. Love that there are solar panels on top!
A really awesome layout and great historic canvas to work in! Loved DJing for this venue!
This is an absolutely stunning location......
Went here for a corporate event. It was a nice room, because it has high ceilings there is an echo so if you decide to bring a DJ or have a pa set up be sure he knows what he is doing. Room was clean. Parking is not free although they said there was a free lot it had tow away signs on it and we were not taking that chance.
This theater is great. Screens greats, seats great, 3d is great.
My husband and I got married at the Rialto Theatre in February and it couldnt have been a more perfect venue for our day. Hope, the owner, was so helpful with any questions we had and made the booking and payment process extremely easy. The best part about this venue is that its a blank canvas for you to transform into anything you can imagine. There were no vendor restrictions so we were really able to customize our wedding day exactly the way we wanted it which was so important to us. When I look back at my wedding photos Im forever grateful to have gotten married under the historic arch at the Rialto Theatre!
Attended a birthday celebration here. The space wide open, but it was HOT!! There are just a handful of air conditioners. . . Definitely not enough for this size space. I was considering this space for an event, but no way. That was the topic of conversation....the Heat in the space. It was completely distracting from the party. I would only have an event here in the dead of winter. Good luck!!
Amazing venue! Can get a little hot but theres no central air in such an old building. Dont let that stop you from using this space.
If you like to sweat this is the place to go. 2 events this year and both had to end early due to heat.
Beautiful old venue with tons of charm!
The Rialto was the perfect space for our wedding vision. The high ceilings, the blank canvas and most importantly, that arch! All combined, these elements really gave us the feel we imagined. On top of that, the venue staff is very accommodating. Hope was very communicative and responded promptly and completely. Please be aware that the contract (like many) is very specific and all information should be correctly and clearly communicated to your vendor team. Hope did a great job of collecting all the necessary contract signatures for us. We are so pleased with our experience and would recommend the Rialto to anyone looking for a really unique location! Thank you!!
Awesome venue!
Theres not really nothing I can say about the Rialto theater. Right here in ybor City or downtown.
Very nice place. Very Big Wide open Space.
The building is one of the best venue spots in Florida. Hope the owner is so knowledgeable and creative making wedding/event dreams come true.
We attended a wedding there, and they really know how to keep things moving. The food was great and the staff friendly and attentive. Parking can be an issue, so consider Uber or Lyft.
Amazing spot with a gallery and events. Very cool to see a piece of history repurposed. Just outside of downtown.
Came here for the Indie Flea and it was so great! Such a cool atmosphere and I loved the brick wall and high ceilings. There were all different kinds of vendors there and it was so cute!
Great event space, was there for a large milestone birthday of a friend.
Beautiful venue! Helpful staff! I was here for a wedding and it was perfect!
Lovely looking place. Idea for any event.
Beautiful building, once you walk in the sheer size of the inside is breathtaking. 10/10 would recommend.
Gorgeous venue. Can’t wait to be back.
This place is beautiful!! I love the engery
Great venue for anything clean n big
Great wedding day
Some people cant stand up for 2 hours. Had to go sit on sidewalk between vows and eating. No seats available. No trash can anywhere. People walking around with the trash in hands.
My husband and I had our wedding here this past October and goodness the space really is gorgeous. Photos do not do it justice!!! It was as breathtaking on our day, as it was the first day that I stepped into it! The bridal suite is also a great new addition to the space! It was a great spot for my husband and I to hang out in the quiet for a little bit. It was also the coldest room in the building! However, I am giving it 4 stars because we booked it with the alley way in mind only to find out 3 weeks before our wedding that it couldnt be used due to some issues the Rialto owners are having with the brewery behind them that shares the space. Had I not shared my layouts with the owner, I would have never known about the new changes. It made our cocktail area very tight! Not a huge deal but I definitely would have preferred having the alley way, especially considering we had booked a food truck for our food. Instead, we had to have the truck out front which made the experience cheap in my opinion. Not to mention, we couldnt get any bridal party photos under the arch or in front of the doors because of the whole ordeal.I will also say that the AC is lacking for 160 guests. Our wedding started at 4:30PM and ended at 11PM and the weather was a high of 86 and a low of 72. It even rained and still, all of our guests were sweating. Some even changed out of their clothes to keep cool! If I could do it again, I would definitely book this location in the Winter. All in all, its a great location. SO unique and historic and just absolutely breathtaking, the AC just needs some updating which is expected for an old building.
Had a work party there nice place kinda small but definitely had a good time
This is a Beautiful Little spot!
At this point a multi use venue previously a historic theater located just outside of downtown Tampa. Recently utilized as a Indie Flea Market. It has a big open space where you could image in the actual theater use to occupy. It has been used as a concert venue and catering for events as well. I suspect it will continue to gain in popularity.
The Rialto Theather has a super cool vibe. I took a group of friends here, to the Indie Flea Market thats hosted here every 3rd Sunday of the month, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. This would be a really cool place for any sort of event you would like to host, and the location is nice since its right off of 275 and close to downtown.
Great fun. Great staff. Thanks Rialto.
We had a wedding here. The building is very nice and historical, but new ownership was not as flexible with some of the decor and set up.
Unique time warp experience
The building is old and used to be run down and new owner took over it and changed it around its starting to look really nice
It was roomy and I liked the indie flea market they hold there . It is right next to the hidden ale place that hosts the Christmas in July fundraiser for the currents affordable Christmas event the only issue is parking but you dont mind some walking.
As a producer and musician, I work with & in different venues and stages all the time. It’s a part of my livelihood. I had my wedding at the Rialto a couple of weeks ago. I’ve never in my 15+ years of performing dealt with the stress of renting a venue such as this one. There were a lot of unexpected expenses that had to be paid on our end. Our contract stated that we were to pay a $250 security deposit. Both parties signed the contract. Hope reached out saying that we had to pay $500 if we wanted to do our wedding at the Rialto. She gave us a rough time throughout that dispute. We did not end up paying it because the contract stated otherwise. After that, it seemed that she started to make last minute changes that we had previously agreed to. ALL ON THE WEEK OF THE WEDDING! Some of these changes were vital parts of making our wedding what we wanted it to be. Mind you, we’ve been in agreement for over a year! Our wedding rehearsal was an epic fail. We had a time slot selected about 4-5 months before the wedding. A couple of weeks before the wedding, Hope told us that we had to change the time of our rehearsal to 2:30PM on a Friday! That was VERY inconvenient for me personally and our party because it’s afternoon time on a weekday AND we had a wedding party of 30+ people. That’s 30 different schedules that had to be rescheduled. During our rehearsal, there were other vendors from another wedding, talking, yelling AND setting up all DURING our rehearsal! Chairs, tables, and decorations were all going on during that time. The venue is only but sooo big! AND IT WAS HOT!! That’s not it!*** Hope told me and my fiancé that they replaced all air conditioning units before our big day. Previously, a co worker of mine told me that the air at the Rialto was an issue from a wedding she was in a couple of months ago. 3 people fainted at our wedding because of how hot it was. Thankfully we had a couple of guests that were registered nurses. We made sure that our guest list met the standards for fire code. Lastly, after the wedding, Hope made up an excuse stating why she wouldn’t give us our deposit back. She stated that our food catering company used the Rialto’s extra sodas that they had in stock. I don’t understand how that was possible because the catering company served only tea and water.. .. That clearly wasn’t factual information. Our wedding planner had a FULL crew which they did a phenomenal job with pre production and post. Our contract stated that they were to be done with cleaning etc by 1:00AM. They were done by 1:30AM. Hope said that they didn’t finish until 3:00AM. Because of the rules that the Rialto stated on how the vendors needed to be scheduled & where they entered etc, made it impossible for everything to be done BY 1:00AM. She also said that there were garbage bags left in their recycling bin. There was no where else for the vendors to put the garbage. The Rialto did not provide any of that information to our vendors. For these reasons, we didn’t receive our deposit back. I’m also seeing a trend from other sources about the Rialto’s staff and for couples not receiving their deposits back. Overall, the wedding was a success and it was beautiful! But, my personal experience with the staff at the Rialto was horrible and I absolutely positively wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!
We went here for the monthly Indie Flea market that they have and we were, quite honestly, disappointed. The building was beautiful on the outside but filled with uninspiring plasterboard on the inside. It was crowded, overly hot, and most of the things for sale were overpriced and mostly junk. There were a few diamonds in the rough, however, but these usually commanded ridiculous queues of people just to buy a single donut, a homemade candle, or all natural lotions. Overall the whole event seemed too big for the building it was in but not developed enough to necessitate a move elsewhere.
Amazingly handled renovations and a beautiful core of classic style envelopes the Rialto in her restored state! You will not be disappointed.
I was there for wedding, and was very nice
We attended a wedding here. The venue is big and has several spaces you can decorate and use as you choose. We thought our friends wedding was very nice. They had a separate bar area to mingle and drink while we waited. The dining area was set up nicely and easily fit over 150 ppl. They had a large open area to dance. From what I understand, you can bring in your own vendors and the spaces are blank for you to create your own event so you might want a wedding planner if youre using this place unless you are skilled in.decorating yourself. It doesnt look like much from the outside & its not in the best neighborhood, but inside really was big and you can make it whatever you want. Our friends were very happy & the owners helped them out in a pinch when their original venue got shut down just weeks before the wedding. I only took off a star because of parking. They do have a parking lot for Rialto which is marked but its about 2 blocks down the street (cobblestone isnt good for walking in heels). Its a small lot so when its full you need to look for street parking. They just need more parking closer to their building especially because you can fit alot of ppl inside! Definitely recommend your guests carpool!
Beautiful blank canvas as a wedding venue, theme party venue, and even photo and video production space. Includes a beautiful art gallery and more- truly a hidden gem in Tampa.
Great venue for a wedding and a great fundraiser too.
Great cause for the event, fun times with amazing people... Definitely needs ac situation rectified before its next event though
Had a food truck gig there. Lots of great people running around.
Great old building. Good venue for a variety of events.
What a beautiful venue for your special occasion.
Truly a place of garbage. the indie flea could be cool in the place- but such awful logistics/management, really hot.
Very large and spacious, the owners are great and the area is easy to navigate and park. The theatre is undergoing massive renovation and restoration and can accommodate a large number of people.
Great beer selection.
