If you look at all of the reviews I have put up on google, only 2 or 3 were negative. While i dont like to put up reviews like this, I feel like it is a responsibility to let others know about my experience today 8/29/20. While this business has a wonderful selection of products, the reason for the one star review is 100% about the very rude, nasty, and unhelpful staff. I approached the staff on several occasions during my visit and based on there rude and abrupt reaction/ response, you would think they were doing my some favor. Every answer came with a very nasty tone and no part of the conversation was even remotely pleasant. They were more interested in chatting with each other then helping customers. I dont care how good the selection is in this place. In the times we are living in when most businesses are hurting and extremely grateful for the customers that walk through the door, this place has a lot to learn about customer service. If you want to be treated respectfully and like a customer, I do not suggest you go to this place.

Beautifully organized, staff is friendly and intelligent, products are curated. The last reviewer references being ID’d—there are signs all over the front door and near the entrance that explain they ID in an effort to reduce human trafficking. I guess that reviewer finds topics like trafficking “adorable”

Bought a vibrator here which would not turn on/was defective. Employee said they don’t do returns, exchanges, replacements, etc. Even though they sell defective items. Take your business somewhere reliable.

Dont usually do reviews. However, as some people think it is ok to try and tarnish a businesses reputation because they cant bother to wear a mask. To be curiosity of others. I felt the need to try to even it out. If there is an underlying condition to not wear a mask then you should not be out. Your supposed rights do not supersede anyones safety.

This is usually my go to place due to proximity. However, my entrance into the store today was a bit marred. I came in as usual and presented my ID. The male at the counter asked me to use the hand sanitizer pump that they had available on the counter. I had my own hand sanitizer, because due to my job in research we have found that public hand pumps for public use actually have various germs and staph on the pump in which you use. He rushed me, appeared annoyed because I had my own hand sanitizer for safety, and made me stand in front of him and use my hand sanitizer. While it was a bit confusing, it was somewhat understandable. Where my gross disappointment came from was once I was in the store 2 more Caucasian males walked in behind me without being prompted to use neither the store nor their personal hand sanitizer. Only I was at the time. It was a bit disheartening and disappointing, especially knowing that all consumers should be subjected to the same precaution policy. I guess I will have to unfortunately re-evaluate my consumerism of this location

James, who was behind the counter today, was possibly the nicest most helpful human being I have ever come across in a store like this. Normally I dont get such a polite, friendly, welcoming employee customer experience. So it was such a breath of fresh air. You know you have a pleasant experience in an establishment when you walk out and hours later remember that person you had the experience with. I am grateful for this and grateful for James and hope this business values him as much as I, a customer, did. Thank you, James!! You rock!

I have been to better stores than this. Their products are extremely overpriced and the staff is not very knowledgeable at all. Its adorable how those who are old enough to be the workers parents are being asked for ID. There is not really any privacy in making selections because workers follow you around. I did go with my husband and Im thankful that I did because there were some creepy guys in there.

The girl in there was so rude. And then told me I HAVE to wear a mask when I have a medical condition that it is not safe for me to wear one. I have been going here for years but will not be back. They just lost mine and my husbands business.

My wife and I were traveling through the area and stopped in. Store is neat, clean and well organized. Excellent variety. Staff was professional and very helpful. We spend over $100 and received a $10 gift card, so we returned.

This was the nearest location to Lakeland and I’m super glad that I went here. Massive selection! I was literally there for 30 minutes because I just couldn’t decide great prices and they test the products before sell to make sure they are to your liking and are functional! Margret is really personable, entertaining, and knowledgeable about the products she helped me find the perfect lube for my sensitive skin. Definitely go here!!!

It was clean a decent sized collect of toys, clothes, and products to choose from. The staff was fun and friendly to talk to. They had a theater when I went there when I was younger but have since taken it out.

I have frequented Planet X many times. Every time I visit it is always a great experience. Margaret & James are always there to provide humor & exactly what I am in for! I won’t go any place but here.. i give the them both 3 thumbs up!!! This is why Planet X is the best sex store in Tampa. :)

The Pros:The store is very clean and organized. They also have a great selection of items for men and women.The Cons:I was waited on by two sales people on two different occasions. I found them to be extremely odd and somewhat obnoxious. I would ask simple questions and get a dissertation back. The store is overpriced. I shop at their competitors in the area as well and they dont seem to charge as much for the same merchandise.. I dont think a hard on pill should cost $20 no matter how many days it works, especially if you can find it somewhere else for almost $10 less.A good place if youre wanting a variety of good products but not the place you want to go for customer service or cost savings.

Went last night and loved the store, selection was nice and utilized space well for products! I have not been into an adult store in quite some time so I was a little shy! James and Margaret were great and made me laugh. THAT MILITARY DISCOUNT IS MOST APPRECIATED!! 20% is so generous and my husband and I thank you! Ill be back for more.

Very clean, organized, and easy to find what you want. I didnt catch his name but the employee I saw today is well educated in what he does, hes charismatic and I will be coming back because the products I bought work and because hes amazing.

My boyfriend and I just went here and as other reviewers have already mentioned, Margaret is awesome. Were both pretty new to toys so she helped us find a few things that worked great for us and didnt break the bank. I am typically very shy and Margaret made me feel a lot more comfortable. In regards to costs.. honestly, they have something for every price range, whether you just want to try something new or youre looking to make an investment. I highly recommend this place!

Saw an item at the store last week for $19.99and did not have funds to purchase it went in to purchase it on pay day found it still marked the same price took it to the register to pay and they wanted $54 for it asked why was told that is what it rang up and they would not honor the price marked

Nice place with great variety but the sale staff is absolutely terrible. My past experiences were were two different girls and they acted like i didnt even exist. One with extremely short hair made me wait 10 minutes while she talked to her friends about the club she went to the night before. As i was waiting to pay.

The company has a logistical nightmare. Paid for the two business days service delivery and its been three business days and just now received the tracking number which cannot be found. I am hoping to get my express delivery money back or will be disputing order with the bank to receive my money back. 24/7 help line is never available I guess they forgot to pay the employee.

The selection is plentiful, prices were about the same as any other place weve shopped, and the store was clean.However, one employee was BLARING this god awful music on his personal cell the entire time we were there (about 45 minutes). It was so loud it overpowered the music they had playing through the speaker system (which was up beat, Todays Top Hits style....perfect). The employee was pushing a buggy restocking merchandise so he was all over the store. My husband and I just left because we couldnt even hear ourselves talk, much less browse without aggravation.The female employee, very nice and helpful.We will probably give this store another try, hopefully that dude is off

Spent alot of time researching an adult store in the area I was willing to give my business. I refused to allow my wife and I to shop at a store that looked or felt dirty. Did not want that check the creep in the corner, Crab Crossing sign posted, kind of store... LOL... So im here to tell you Planet X is a breath of fresh air, figuratively and literally speaking. It actually smelled nice in there, well lit very categorized store. Product selection is second to none, from Dang i didnt know you could spend that much on a toy, to hey that beats the online price. I was there Friday July,13th from about 10:00p.m to 12:00a.m. The gentleman and lady working were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I even over heard the lady helping a, seemed to be nervous couple with toy selection assure them I work in a sex store its my job,no need to be uncomfortable changed their whole expierence instantly. Wish I could have afforded to spend more than the $72 dollars I did, they deserved it, my wife and I too.. Starting an, Ok what can we cut out, hurry hide the extra in here, PX#1-4EVA fund. Nice selection and variety, however, some things are overpriced.. The employees there are rude and dont understand the lifestyle that goes with the items there: i was looking at paddles and crops and testing how the felt against my hand before deciding if i wanted to buy, but they asked me to stop. Apparently, you have to decide to buy a product by looks only and not if its something that suits your wants. She was short, thick, light brown hair, with glasses.

Very rude employees. I bought my fiance something and it was the wrong size I returned less than 30 minutes with it unopened and they said I own it. When I asked to speak to a manager they got very loud and started cussing . There are many better establishments in Tampa with far better pricing.

Well just had my first and last visited with this establishment today. I went to look for my phone, and when I came back into the store, my wife approached me, and stated that were leaving. When I asked her why, she stated there when she was up trying to ask a question of the lady, the woman behind the counter was rude nasty, and did not seem to want our money.

Not what I wanted or my wife gave me the wrong thing I had a unopened box and they refused to take it back or give a refund
