We have stayed at Bayhead multiple times with our 32 foot motorhome. Our stays have been overnight to a few weeks at a time. The facilities are clean, pool and deck are very clean and inviting and they keep the grass cut. The staff and maintenance crew are friendly and helpful. Sites are large, grass and sand and leveling was not a problem with full hookups. Although off a main road, Highway 90 it feels like youre in the country with trees and quiet enough to hear the birds chirping. Our guests also commented about the park being pleasant. We will stay here again.
RV friendly. Big lots. Quiet(The Doughertys)
A very nice, quiet place to live, my wife and I have lived here for 5 almost 6 Years. You really should check it out for yourself.
Dont even bother applying here. Assuming they do not like single parents as it say family community. Even though I work no criminal history and able to afford rent here I was denied and was not given a reason why. Go else where !!!!
Great, quiet, safe, friendly, convenient neighborhood.Mobile Home and Camper park.
Clean and well kept mobile home park with spots for travel trailers as well.
Sewer Connect was broken at the head.Told we needed a 43 Space, got there to find a 38 Space.Cable didnt work. But worst of all, was a Muddy Mess, No Concrete, had to back in diagonally to get parked!Dont recommend the place, will not stay there again.
Very nice place to stay
Quiet and clean. Quaint playground and laundry/pool onsite.
Nice, quiet, well kept neighborhood
Bayhead is a wonderful place to stay while in Tallahassee. We have been enjoying staying here seasonally since 2016 in our RV, and we have literally had zero issues and have enjoyed every minute of it.The park management is fantastic, friendly, and always willing to help. It is truly a home away from home for us, and we feel blessed to have been led to it. Thanks to Doreen and her entire crew for always making us feel welcome and at home!If you’re looking for a quiet and welcoming community, you’ve found it with Bayhead!
If you’re interested in living here and your under 60, dont! Every entitled boomer will try to find a reason to get you kicked out. We we’re asked how old we were, in order to determine if we “brought crime” To the area... I think that the park down the street is busier for a reason.
I wish we would’ve known about this campground sooner. Absolutely the best campground in Tallahassee for many reasons. The campsites are enormous (especially when compared to any other campground in Tallahassee). The managers are top notch. Well kept grounds, beautiful trees that don’t encroach, paved roads, etc. Campers are mostly FSU Boosters, traveling medical professionals, and seasonal folks. There are no scary full timer rigs that have grown roots. Security patrol is great and are very observant. It’s just a great place to do an extended stay if you’re going to be in town. There are plenty of overnight spots too. Highly recommend.
Great community
This is a great rv park, whether youre here for a few days or a few months. The pros: Large sites, beautiful trees, full hook up, on site laundry facilities, trash and recycle cans at each site, reasonable rates, convenient shopping, and easy access to I-10. Big rig friendly. The rv park section is at the front of the property near Tennessee St (highway 90); the rest of the property is a nicely maintained mobile home park. By the office theres a pool, playground, and basketball court. The managers are friendly and responsive. The cons: Theres no bathhouse facility and some of the concrete patios and pads are cracked and broken. If you are backed up to highway 90, theres significant traffic noise.
Nice place to live
We’ve been here about a month, Doreen is great and always eager to help us. I feel safe here and everyone is friendly thus far! I️ would Recommend Bayhead.
Kept our camper here for a few months last year. There’s a pool and decent park for kids to play at. I thought the lot sizes were really generous, you can open your awning without touching your neighbor. A picnic table and garbage can are included at each site, someone even goes around and puts the trash cans at the curb. Rates are reasonable and we definitely felt safe here. It was a longer commute to the job my husband was working at but it was worth the trade. If we needed to stay in Tallahassee for an extended period of time again we would definitely come back. Highly recommend staying at Bayhead
One of the cleanest mobile home/trailer park communities, that Ive ever seen. I was very surprised.
Great location and nice homes. I enjoyed my tour. The property manager was very professional and helpful.
Love living in this community . Very peaceful, neighbors are more like family we watch out for one another. We wouldnt want to live anywhere else in Tallahassee.
I went to visit my friend and their family. And when we met up with then at the pool area, we were rudely interrupted by some dingy man saying to me an a long time friend that we were not allowed in pool area. As to why he eluded the question. And when into front building.
One of my favorite people live here
Nice mobile home park
Great place . Friendly staff and plenty of space between sites. Was there 2 years ago and they remembered my wife and gave her a nice greeting when she walked into the office.
We love staying at Bayhead, clean, quiet and safe full service Rv Park. I work at FSU and live out of town so we spend a lot of time here when in town for work. Doreen the Manager is easy to work with and always accomodates my crazy schedule. The park is on a huge piece of property, I walk it all the time for exercise and never see any issues. Close to FSU, Walmart and 5 miles from a Camping World if you ever have a issue. We plan to be staying here a long time
We were very grateful to get a call back from management saying they had completed a new RV site and could accommodate us for two nights. Florida St. University was having a football game and no RV spaces to be found for miles around. Upon arrival we were led to a site that obviously was just finished. Shrubbery trash piked up to one side, very sloped to the rear pad. The back portion had gravel spread to try and raise it up. Our RV sunk down in it even with blocks set to drive the back wheels on. Over the two days we sunk an additional six inches, A lot since we were about six inches liq to begin with after leveling with the leveling system internally. I left them a note with payment, but upon check out today, not even an I am sorry. And, $45 a night???? The mobile part of the park is clean, well kept, mostly newer mobile homes. Park was quiet. They certainly need to work on the remodeling of the RV section. Could be very nice.
Friendly staff/neighbors and well kept grounds!!!
We were staying at Bayhead for 6 months during a travel-nursing assignment at a nearby hospital and found it the perfect place to be! We loved our large RV site surrounded by big trees, waking up to the sounds of the birds and going to sleep with the sound of the crickets. The guests and long time residents are quiet and respectful and the management is very friendly and helpful. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the well-kept pool, clean bathrooms and laundry facilities. The only thing we wished to be different are longer pool hours and to have a stronger wifi.
We have stayed here twice already and will keep coming back. Conveniently located close to shopping, restaurants, and to James Messer Park where my son plays baseball. Large rv sites and the facilities have always been clean. Thanks again Bayside!
Very clean park, however, traffic noise was bothersome.
One of the best RV parks in Tallahassee.
Have to get your own electric
I give this park a 5 star rating because of the ease and friendliness of check in, convenience to interstate and price. There are several RV sites in this Mobile Home Park. The site we were assigned, #65, seemed to be the only one available on the day we checked in. It was hard packed sand but had several deep ruts in it. That gave us cause for concern as it was a downhill sloped lot and the forecast was for rain. And rain it did! We received approximately 2-3 inches of rain in a several hour period after setting up.But pulling out the next morning posed no issues. We had parked the coach on top of one of the deep ruts and the soil was actually not as wet as we had anticipated it to be.That being said, the park was quiet. But the residents drive way too fast as I was almost hit by one that was speeding despite speed bumps in the park. Management needs to address that issue. We would stay here again if in the area.
I have lived here in Bayhead for about 11 years. I use a wheelchair and need additional assistance on occasion. The current Managers have been wonderful. They always either give me assistance or tell me where to get it. I am excited to see what improvements the new owners Newby Management will bring to Bayhead residents!I have seen other parks in Tallahassee and would not live in any where else!
It isnt great. Rent is very very very high but it does have a convenient location. It is probably the nicest park in town.
I love Doreen, she has a GREAT PERSONALITY,shes available to you and she makes certain you have access to the emergency service.
This park is WONDERFUL, one of the best. The buildings, laundry facility, pool and grounds are so well kept. The RV spots are huge! Management is awesome. Youd have to see it to believe it!
We love it here!
Really a mobile home park to me, and the back in spot we were put at was an old broken slab of concrete and difficult to reach the old hookups. We were glad we had a surge protector. Lady at desk forgot my to email receipt and it was listed on internet at $45, but that must of been with discount because we were not given any discount. Glad it was only one night.
So far we have loved it here management is awesome. Theres a pool playground free wifi place to store your trailers, it does cost money but its locked up and secure. They have RV parking which is what we have done. There is a laundromat showers clubhouse library so much at an affordable price.
Needs a clean-up, management needs help. Noreen is very nice .
Very clean, hilly, park-like RV & Mobile Home Park. The staff here are very friendly and Doreen runs a tight ship and makes sure people are following the rules - which is a good thing! Doreen and her husband John stay on top of things here, and you will always see John working around the park. They have a very nice sparkling pool, a clubhouse with laundry, mailboxes that you can rent (for longer stays) and each RV site has its own trash and recycle containers that are picked up weekly by waste management. The sites are level, and are spaced out pretty well. Most of the sites are on grass, and just a scattered few (maybe 2, not sure) have concrete pads. The grounds are well kept and it is quiet here with the exception of normal traffic noise if you are up front. They take monthly RV renters here and the price includes electric, full hookup & cable.
Nice park but get your own mail box. The office is not open the hours they have posted.
I found this Passport America listing and couldnt believe how nice this park is once I saw it. Gorgeous grounds, sparkling pool, great clubhouse and perks, laundry etc. Very quiet place, which we loved. Very large park with RV spots up towards the front entrance. Located just off Tennessee St. across from a Dollar General, which was nice for supplies. Also, just barely outside cap circle, so this was not far at all from everything going on in Tallahassee.I hesitate to review this place and just keep it as a great secret, but some secrets must be shared. Just dont tell too many people. ;)
Nice mobile home park
Bayhead is by far the best of the rv parks in Tallahassee. We stayed there for about 6 weeks and were very comfortable. The lots are mobile home size so they are large, you are not on top of your neighbor. The facilities and grounds are clean and taken care of and the managers (Doreen and her husband) are very accommodating. The park owners do need to add cable to the rv sites..the large oak trees can cause problems with your satellite dish. We will be staying here again.
Nice and quiet, with a whole bunch of shade
Our 2nd home away from home, friendly management.
I love this place, I stay for first time last week with my family . The place is clean, quite and secure the service of the administration is extremely excellent. I recommend this Rv park
Nice place to stay! It is a mobile home residence community.
The managers now are very determined to close the park down. Since they been managers ffor he past couple of months 6 families have moved out. A very disturbing number... My family has been living in this park for 15 years and this has been the worst for them. My parents are old and they have been the best residents as far as paying their bill on time and keeping to themselves. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARK...
Clean park with courteous and professional staff. Convenient to the interstate as well as fsu.
Its beautiful out here very quiet everybodys very respectful its affordable.
Great place to live and super quiet!
Beautiful Park, a lot of new mobile homes swimming pool Dollar General across the street probably three minutes to a Walmart Kentucky Fried Chicken Sonic steak and shake Zaxbys Home Depot and Lowes, Dairy Queen service stations with great gas prices especially if you go to the inland station
Nice place
Nice place!
Slowly getting better.
Not bad for the price.
Weve been here for 17 years now, and even though the last 3-4 years have been rather irritating with new management every 6 months - a year, our recent management has been definitely doing their part, the groundskeeper is very helpful to the park, as well as individual residents in so many ways. Theyve just cut down old rotten trees, and trimmed down the green ones, and have also put in about 5 new trailers just this week! They are talking about turning this into a gated community, and i would love to see that happen. However on the downside, my only big issue, is the water situation, in the last almost a year, youll find your water to be off, at random, a little too often.. But its for understanding reasons, theyre always doing what they can as quickly as possible to fix the problem, but as a mother of 3 very young children, who relies on formula feeding and cleaning sippy cups and bottles all day, i have to have water.... But other than that, and as long as you keep the outside of your home up to par, then this is rather nice, usually very quiet little, community.
Rude park manager
So beautiful.
Ooo
Loved it
Very expensive
Needs grounds maintenance
It is a moble home park
Quite and peaceful.
