Talladega Creekside Resort

Stayed with them in spot number 2 twice 3 days each time September 2020. Both times they were extremely nice and accommodating. Full hookups and the place was nice and relaxing. Every morning I tried to make it down to the water to drink a cup of coffee to start the day off right. You can’t beat it and we’ll try to stay here every time we’re in the area.

Really, really nice people who manage it. Quiet and secluded on a nice big creek. Amenities are close. Showers are closed for remodeling but they made sure we were aware of it in advance.

Oh my goodness, it was so relaxing and such a great experience with some of the kids, a little bumpy sometimes,but if you didnt know that was part of tubing or kayaking, it is...and it makes it that more fun...takes about 4 hours, totally worth it...if you havent been here, mark it on your calendar and take a drive this way and check it out...you wont be disappointed

Tried them for our first kayak trip and had a great float. The price is extremely reasonable for the shuttle compared to a few other places. They have a nice launch area, although I would highly suggest putting in some cinder block steps next to the kayak ramp. I slid down the bank nearly two feet. It wasnt easy getting into the water for me or the rest of the ladies in our group. The take out point is very nice with a big dock. Extra points for having multiple changing rooms. Definitely will go back to float again. Great current and not many rapids at all for a leisurely float. We went pretty slow and it took us about three hours.

Very polite and clean environmental. Restrooms were well stocked and neat. The trip was excellent and we had a great time. We will return.

Beautiful place to relax an have a great Time . With kids especially!! The staff was 100% amazing. I would definitely recomend this to anyone looking for a greattime an a peaceful place to chill! Have a great time !!

Friednly staff, comfy cabins. The creek was nice to swim in. All around a great experience!

Fun place to go tubing. Good setup, nice people, reasonable price, especially if you have your own tubes. Campground looked basic but ok. We just tubed but lots of people were kayaking and the campground was well occupied also. Convenient to I20 just East of Talledega Speedway.

Love this place and everyone there. Everyone is always so happy and helpful. They cater to the novices and the seasoned yakers.

If you happen to be bringing your pooch for a couple of days cooling in the water... be sure to get a detailed police of what they are not allowed to do so you are not disappointed as well.

Staff at always friendly. Renting a kayak/tube or bringing your own and both very easy with the way they are set up.

Staff was awesome, showers/bathrooms were spotless. View was Perfect. Slept like a million bucks!

Great campground 50 miles east of Birmingham just a few miles off I 20 They have a nice creek for kayaking or tubing, also a Passport America member.

This place is very nice, they are super clean and accommodating. The rental equipment is in good repair, and their prices are not so bad. The bathroom is a full size, with shower and warm water.

Fun place to hang out with family and friends.

I love it here! Susan & Kathy are awesome...their cabins and accommodations are awesome! Been here in July & November for work...loved tubing! Going to come back in summer with daughter!

Great park with lots of things to do. We spent our time going for motorcycle rides around the area. Lots of geese in the park.

My reservation was cancelled because ofthe lockdowns due to covid-19. I did not cancel, they cancelled it because of the government and had the nerve to charge a $50 cancellation fee. I reached out to consumer affairs, found out this is an illegal act, so if they do it to you, call consumer affairs. They will act for free on your behalf. Who cares about the money, its the principle. Profiting off of a pandemic. Ridiculous. I for one will be blasting this to my 1000s of followers!!!

Very fun and kid friendly. Not for someone looking for extreme situations or fast paced rafting/tubing... its laid back and some times very shallow but its steady, cold and relaxing. Not to mention inexpensive as well. Ive been here twice and will be back!

Wonderful activity for the whole family

Friendly, clean, no issues. First kayaking experience. Had our own kayaks. They charged $10 to take our driver from resort to start of float. They didnt have to provide anything else. Good experience.

Cozy little place with friendly people. The river was nice. We brought are kayaks to paddle the river. It is a short float. If you paddle just enough to stay straight and let the current push you, you can finish in about an hour. Very pretty views the whole way. Great place for easy going fun in the sun, or a little relaxing in nature.

This is my aunts favorite place to kayak. I am from Idaho and have been a couple times with her while visiting. Its always a blast to enjoy a relaxing time kayaking down the creek. They have a lot of different thing you can rent, even smaller kayaks for the kids.

We loved kayaking down the creek. We used the shuttle service and it was excellent. The exit area has been renovated and it is amazing. So easy to get out of the water!!

Hands down the best tubing experience Ive ever had! The water is refreshing and cool on a hot summer day, and its a beautiful shady trip down the creek.

Great place to stay. Small so its close knit and familiar. Took my grandson out for an overnight trip but its so nice my husband and I will use it for a weekend getaway.

Owners were RUDE, staff was RUDE & not the least bit accommodating. Communication was terrible. Horrible experience for my first time kayaking with my family. Would not recommend to ANYONE. Spend your hard earned money at Sunnyside right down the road where they know what southern hospitality is all about! Don’t understand all the other good reviews, so please be aware. If you want to feel welcomed DONT COME HERE!!

It is a fairly short float. But is it easy for beginners and a great way to spend the afternoon and get out of the heat.

Had a good time out here. The only real problem here is the very low water. You can often become stuck on rocks in the canoe. The vans used to transport you to the creek have no air conditioning. That felt a bit smothering since you dont have windows of your own to open. Nice long canoe route and deck to unload.

One of the cleanest Creeks Ive ever been down. Very friendly staff and nice little place to take a weekend getaway! Would recommend this to anyone and plan on going back again ourselves soon!

Fun place to kayak. The water is very clean and the area is beautiful. Just be mindful that it is fairly shallow is certain spots and its easy to get hung up or bottom out the kayak. They also offer tubing which would be a blast.

Absolutely beautiful and so serene! The creek is so peaceful and we caught many catfish. The atmosphere and management are wonderful! Cant wait to go back next year! Much love from us Floridians.

Small, quaint, and quiet campground. Friendly and down to earth people here. Traditional camping only with cabins available. If you are looking for a pool and other amenities of that nature, this campground is not for you. They do have canoes and tubing during the summer season for the creek. Our family enjoyed the peace and quiet by the creekside.

Level sites and very quiet. Entrance sign needs to be more visible and painted. Close to the raceway and they also offer rafting trips. Passport America honored. $15 p/n

My husband and I stayed here for a night away and loved it!! Manager/Owner on site was amazing and so caring! We stayed in the guest house and cant wait to go back. It was absolutely adorable.

Great campsites along a beautiful creek just three miles from the interstate. I stay here because of the great staff and the quiet tranquility of the trees and flowing water. That said, its only two miles from the world class CMP marksmanship range, and a couple miles more to the Talladega speedway. So, rev yourself up for the crash bang stuff, then go home to quiet relaxation (and prepare for the next day). As a bonus, the owners operate a kayak/tubing business, and will run you up stream for a small fee, where you can float home for even more relaxation. Great set up. Highly recommended.

This is a great spot to enjoy some piece and quiet! We brought our entire company here for the last 2 nights of our annual company trip. We stayed in 3 cabins and all were different. The owner was so accommodating she opened a bit early so we could tube the creek one last time before we left. Was clean, crisp, cool water! The only complaint I heard from our crew was one of the cabins did not have a door on the bathroom. It did however have a curtain for privacy. I would come back and recommend it for anyone looking for a low key casual relaxing time.We will come back for sure!!!

Quit and clean nice place

This has been the best weekend. We rented a cabin for two nights. Arrived Friday afternoon. Floated the creek Saturday morning into the afternoon. It was so much fun. Swam a little Saturday after lunch then fished that evening. Sunday swimming and check out. Well definitely be back soon. They will take you and your gear to the drop off spot, if you dont want to camp/stay over night. So if you have your own stuff(even if you dont) and just want to make a day trip its well worth it. We got in the water at 9am and it was around 1pm when we got back from the dock .so right at 4 hours to float the whole thing in an intertube with no paddles. If you have a paddle you could finish it quicker. Some parts of the creek are at an almost standstill.Staff has been super nice the whole trip, too. I highly recommend checking it out. Its just far enough from Talladega to be a get away but if you need to run into town for something its close enough for that too.

I highly recommend this place. Its very peaceful and relaxing. The owners are very sweet and helpful. I stayed the weekend in the cabin Clubhouse its very private and at creekside. I loved it and was already planning another weekend in a couple weeks. It was awesome!

Its a real nice place. Awesome little creek to float. We hit it just right after several rainy weeks. We never had to get out of the floats. Great place for very first time kayakers. I may buy one an practice on this creek.

This is more for the response rate on a weekend or just in general. The situation comes down to I contacted you at 9 pm, get a text back hours later after I setup my tent, I kid you not you said there wasn’t room for me, well...there was, also I would have paid you to sleep in my tent, but since you dropped the ball, I got a free camping spot. Maybe invest in a free Google Voice number if you are trying to save money and download the Google Hangouts then you have a free phone to actually get more money so you can afford a phone. Just my thoughts that a business can’t really do business if there isn’t someone to answer a call or just request it through text. Not everyone has a cell phone. Not everyone plans ahead, I was on a road trip trying to find a camping spot to sleep for the night. Not wait for the person to contact me after I had setup my tent.

Great place except the 3 cabins close to the road get no tv at all. IT had a DVD player But only had 3 movies that were not good at all... one was supposed to be a movie but when we put it in it was Spanish music... only... no movie.. Other than that it was ok. Probably will find a different place next time

We dont ever want to leave to go home. Each and every person there has become like family to us. Best place to relax, great fishing. Quiet times that you can recharge your body and mind. Friendly people that offer help if you need it. Come on out and spend some time either camping, kayaking, tubing, fishing, or just relaxing. In sure once you do, you will come back again.
