Great place, they hosted our American Heritage Girls PiPa campout, thanks for all the history
Great museum. I learned a lot about a history that is too rarely shared.
Very polite and friendly staff. Answered all questions. Good videos shown.
Good place to start teaching family about the pioneer women in the military
As an avid amateur historian, I love museums. Full of excellent history, and right down my interests of aviation and early mid American industrial history.
Lots of history that often goes unnoticed. Im glad I stopped by. I hope than anyone with a daughter or niece will consider making the trip for a visit. They are in the process of growing the museum and could use the support.
Very enlightening! - Higher, further, faster
Very interesting. Lots of great memoribilia from an overlooked part of history. Very kind, knowledgeable staff.
Wonderful display of women in history!
Very cool. I managed to visit during the WASP reunion and got to meet some very fine women. The ladies that actually flew out of Avenger field are a treasure that wont be around for long. Strongly recommend it before there is nothing but memories and a museum left of these pioneering women.
Lots of History exhibits to enjoy
If youre in the area this is well worth stopping for! This is where the women of WWII came to learn how to transport the military plans around the country. All the men were on the front lines. Very interesting!
Fun place covering a very important part of history that is easily overlooked. Delightful docents, 30-90 minute museum
Found the museum to be very interesting. Thank you to Jordan for your kindness and explaining the history.
Out of the way place, but worth the trip, especially if you are a woman interested in the contributions of women to the WWII aviation effort. Lots history and artifacts to look at.
Amazing piece of little known history!!
1I/9/19 I attended the induction of my late aunt Patricia Hanley Shields in a new formal process. This will be repeated every few months with fellow WASPs.Being a big military history buff, the experience did not disappoint. In fact devoting most of the Saturday into the amazing, detailed and visually astonishing work done by the museum staff, I am very humbled and moved. The museum overwhelming demonstrates the commitment, passion and desire the women gave in service to our country. You will be hard pressed not to become emotional and embrace the memories and lives of these then young women. The staff has shown limitless devotion to bringing their story out. A story that will grow among a new generation.
Great stop lots of wonderful history and lots of interesting things to see
Absolutely a must see for WW2 buffs. Very nice staff and interesting exhibits

Finally made it out to the WASP museum! It was wonderful, and had so much good information about the amazing women who did so much for our country during WWII.
Loved it great place. The people there were very helpful and knowledgeable. Hearing and learning about all those great ladys was awesome. Thanks to all the wonderful people at the W.A.S.P Museum and all the GREAT ladys past and present who serve our great nation.
Such a great gem of information and its only gonna get better when the new building is opened. Lady I spoke to there was very nice and and answered questions. She was very knowledgeable and I look forward to going back
Going to see my late aunt inducted in Sat. 11/9. Quite excited!
Free entry, real history, must see, needs your support to honor those who paved the way for the first AF women pilots in 1977, by 33 years. Rediculous they had to wait that long. 38 died doing their mission. I Salute them.
Really enjoyed our visit! A facsinating story of these brave women who served our country.
Most amazing experience at their annual homecoming honoring the Womens Airforce Service Pilots that served in World War II
Loved it! Stopped here on the way back from Lubbock! What a great way to stretch our legs and learn so much about these great women in history! I would recommend this for all ages!
Was pretty hot
What wonderful history theyre preserving! If you can, watch the PBS video or some other before you go so that youll have a greater understanding because they do just a short introduction before leaving you to type at your own pace. Its free though they certainly accept donations!
I thought I knew a lot of WWII knowledge, and I learned so much here! Absolutely worth a visit!
Never knew this museum existed. Interesting stories of brave women from WWII
Very small museum, but worth the stop. Fascinating bit of US and womens history. Free, but donations welcome.
An important piece of WWII history tucked away on the edge of Sweetwater. This museum is being expanded and should be much better when completed. For now its still great to get a glimpse of life of the women who served and flew here.
My parents and grandparents are from this area and have a lot of history in the area. As a kid growing up my dad told me a lot of stories about the base and the pilots. My dad and I have been interested with aircraft of the era. The museum is a great place to visit and learn a lot of history. The pictures of the service people really bring family stories and history together. I hope that the museum is able to get the funds needed to open the other building in the near future.Thank you to all the people who keep the museum open and going.A special Thank You to all the Service Personnel that served our great country during that time.
I love this exhibit. I have WASP friends and it was wonderful seeing them all in this museum.

History that needs to be seen when youre in the area. Fantastic.
Its very nice. I didnt realize what all the ladies did during World War II. Doing their part for the war effort.
Fantastic exhibits if youre into that sort of thing. Great side of the road diversion.
Wonderful museum dedicated to women in WWII who volunteered to fly in non-combat roles so more men could be sent where needed in the front lines. Amazing museum full of stories of these brave women who broke barriers.
Dont miss seeing this museum when youre in the area.
Highly recommend this jewel!
Fantastic! The lady working was very nice and knowledgeable. We learned a lot from our short visit.
SHS Class of 1958..60th Reunion..Oct. 12th..really nice
Very interesting to go check out the history on women aviators. Not good to take little kids as kids are not interested.

Wonderful sweetwater, Tx. history
So inspirational! This museum fills in a gap in WW II and in aviation history
Must do for anyone visiting Sweetwater or Abilene. Go learn about these historic and heroic women
My Wife and I went to the WASP Museum a few months back and just loved it. It shows just how much effort the women of that era put into the war effort. Keep up the great work yall are doing.
Outstanding! I will return to this outstanding tribute to the women who flew for our country in WWII. It has a homecoming for those who are still alive the Saturday before Memorial Day. I plan to make it.
I found this place by accident. I was driving by and saw a sign for it on the side of the highway and decided to stop. I am glad that I did. Lovely people there. Worth a short stop.
Interesting place. Has a lot of historic items and love in the building. You gave to stop by if youre in that area.
One of the most interesting and overlooked museums around. Definitely worth a stop!
This is a good place to learn about some of our forgotten history.
THESE WOMEN, THE WASPS OF WWII, CANNOT BE PRAISED ENOUGH. THEY WERE SOME OF THE UNSUNG HEROS OF WWII AND THEY GAVE THEIR LABOR AND LIVES WITHOUT COMPLAINT OR REWARDS. I KNOW IT SEEMS STRANGE BUT THEY DID IT WITHOUT WOMENS LIB OR THE LGBT. THEY WERE TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOTS, THANK YOU!
A wonderful place on the history of women first flying for America
Love it
This is a great museum commemorating an oft-forgotten piece of American history, namely, the wartime service of the Womens Airforce Service Pilots.
Awesome history here. A must see. Great staff, very friendly.
Not seen enough. Stop in to hear some untold history of the US and WWII.
Fabulous! Be sure to attend during the WASP homecoming!
It shows a bad part of history turned good
