Attended the Sunrise Comicon with the kids here and it was great. The kids had a good time. It was a bit underrated but the kids really enjoyed seeing their favorite superheros there and everyone seemed to be having a good time.

I attended two Nursing graduations at this location - spacious and gracious. It was enough room for all the families and friends. Great outdoor area for taking pictures or getting in a wall. The staff was friendly and cortesy

A few friends and I went to see In the Heights. It is a small, intimate theater. The cast was great, the sound was clear, the lighting perfect. Their bathrooms were clean and close to the theater. There was an opportunity after to meet the cast members and which made that experience even more special. The 2 cons about the theater was the cost of a regular priced ticket ($38) vs a resident ticket ($25), and that the handicapped parking places were not close to the entrance at all. I would go back, but at a resident price!

Small nice gallery. There is daylight since there are windows and that is a plus. Close to the main enterance. It was easy to park on the side where the parking is.

Nice place but the xmas light event is abit small compare to Los Olas Xmas event. Still worth checking out.

Great place and awesome staff

We saw the baby boomer comedy revue and it was one of the best run shows we have ever attended. We had 4 of us and every comic did a very good job and the one comedian AZ had laser point timing every time he interrupted the poor guy that was hosting. We never seen anything like that and it was hilarious.The people next to us said he better be funny when he gets on stage and we said well find out and when they finally announced him...he came out in a professional uniform wearing a suit and we each knew it was the real deal and it was.We also are now have bookmarked the theater for all events because it was a top notch, COMFORTABLE seating and sounding place.

Love the outdoor concerts here. Would have given 5 stars if they kept the bathrooms open, at least till the concert is over! NOT cool!!!

Awesome theater! I have seen several shows here and have performed on this stage many times. Ticket prices are better than most places and the theater personnel go out of their way to make sure both patrons and performers are well cared for. Inexpensive bar and snack bar - beverages usually permitted in the theater. For quality and price, this is my favorite performing arts center in South Florida.

One of the hallmarks of Sunrise. With an amphitheatre as well as an indoor gym, this is an awesome place to bring friends, family, or loved ones.

Great place to view great art. Its amazing the talent we have here in the local area. I am certainly going to try to enroll and show some of my own works of art.

Just cannot compliment the City of Sunrise enough. From beginning to end the event planning with superb. Atmosphere is friendly and safe. The way that the chairs are set up in front of the stage allows everyone to see the performers well. The performers are exquisite. One of the best performances ever. This theatre location seems meant for more intimate shows/plays and small gatherings. The parking is very adequate, and access to other facilities is very convenient.Theres a public pool, pool/game room, indoor basketball, concessions, amphitheatre, library as well as public service offices and more.

Food trucks every month with a concert. This is done 8 months every year and the ambiance is pretty cool. Food, ice cream and concert with cover bands. A lot of locals and neighbors alike.

Athletic facilities are in the midst of being upgraded and improved. The city is doing a great job.

The city of Sunrise civic center has wonderful events every week for its residents and they do their best to make you feel like family. For such a large sub city of Fort Lauderdale they give you the feel of small town friendliness. There are 2 pools, several theaters to accommodate different forms of entertainment at the same time and other activities that its residents can participate in whether its the elderly painting or the youngsters performing they have the ability to accommodate and they often do so so every lifestyle can do something they like at their civic center.

We are having a great time. Small venue and all seats are good. Small concession stand. Sound is good too. Easy to buy tickets online and at the box office I am so glad that we found this place.

This place is awesome. So nicely kept and so much to do. One of our favorites!

Nice place; great staff; but too many rules, you can only do so much. Can mainly be used for movie premieres, & museum. I personally need more freedom to create as an Event Planner & Vendor.

Love going for pool aerobics on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday. went to a senior walkathon last month and free lunch. Always very nice. Will be joining the gym and Im sure I will be joining other activities.

It is a nice clean environment, I took the school children there for the swimming lessons. They enjoyed themselves.

Great place for local artists to showcase their talent.

I came on a Sunday afternoon to the Sunrise Civic Center for a performance of My Brave where people tell their true life inspiring stories of mental illness and how they triumphed despite their mental health set backs. I had never been here before but I was quite impressed. The center was built in 1998 and is actually made up of a theater and art gallery, a grand ballroom with banquet center, an athletic club and an aquatic complex. The theater where the performance was small but intimate. It contained a stage and 300 seats. The seating went higher the farther the seats went back from the stage which gives everyone a good view. There was also mezzanine balcony seating. I thought the theater was very clean and well thought out. The complex the theater is in is undergoing some renovations. It will probably be even nicer when the project is finished and the construction project did not interfere with parking or the show. The residents of Sunrise are fortunate to have such a unique and lovely cultural center.

Latin Night Tune and Trucks was a great family event.

Make sure you bring proper swimming trunks and no floats but they have cheap food thats good and the pool is pretty cool and they got a nice water slide

I truly enjoyed the Taste Of Sunrise. It was well organized and planned. The vendors had plenty of food and treated the attendees with their time and explanations of the food they offered. Thank you for making it a wonderful night out.

This place is awesome with its great amenities - beautiful pool, ballroom, art room, etc. I took a First Aid/CPR course taught by a great instructor and had a great time. I hope to come back soon to use the pool.

Love this place! My Tax dollar is well spent with their new upgrades.

The civic center offers various programs for kids and adults. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They organize all the events very well.

Went up comedy show there and all the comedians very good

Todays (Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm) was absolutely terrific. In fact, there is an exciting story regarding myself, my deceased husband and the young man, Marcella. Went for the Motown concert and it was nice. The entertainers were excellent. Wish i would of brought a chair.

A small theatre surrounded by a really nice park. Honestly should be seen at least once. Its old, but charming.

Went there for a Chamber of Commerce breakfast. Lots of parking spaces. The conference room was quit big and they provided the breakfast. The food was good... scramble eggs, homestyle potatoes, bacon, sausage links and patties. The restrooms were on main lobby just outside of the room. They could use an upgrade on the light fixtures. The chandelier in the conference room was very outdated like out of a 90s movie... but overall great place to host a corporate conference, meeting or even a small family event.

My three children come here weekly for a basketball program, and personal coaching. The facility is very well designed, and very inviting. The gym is wonderful, and a great place to stay in shape if you are tired of those oversized, informal gyms.

I is a great place to go because you can enjoy the nice pool they have go to the gym if you want to work out or go to the big basketball gym if you like playing basketball you could also go to this theater they have there and watch some of their plays they have going on so I recommend this place

Great place for family fun. Has a game room, a gym, to indoor racquetball courts, full size swimming pool with an additional kids pool with a water slide and also has a snack bar. The sunrise Civic Center is loaded with activities that are ongoing and offers memberships as well.

Currently under construction, so the game room, racquetball and other amenities are not all available. Should be fully functional in 2019. Gym, basketball courts, swimming and classes are still available

Great Dr. AWED IS WONDERFUL

Highly recommend this place, specially the pool area, the ballroom, the gym, the basketball court, and they also have a play area for the kids. Also I highly recommend the ballroom at the Sunrise Civic Center which is very classy, clean and not too expensive.

This Civic center offers so much and so much is being added.. recieved awesome customer service and all questions were answered by the young lady at the info desk .. will be purchasing a membership very soon
