My friends and I found out Omescape last year and we had so much fun playing in various escape rooms in both the Sunnyvale and San Jose location. This year because of the Covid we havent had a chance to play together for a long time. So we are so happy that they are hosting an online game, and the experience is as great as before. Its well designed, full of funny details and it kept everyone busy all the time:P Agent and Nissassa have done an amazing job in helping us immerse ourselves into the settings. Its far beyond my expectation and I am surprised to find that actually a zoom escape game could be very effective because it requires teamwork on every single puzzle. We had a great time and would definitely recommend to other friends!
Its COVID times & We just did their virtual escape room.. it was really well done! I wasnt sure how they would pull it off virtually.. but it was great. Engaging. Had difficult puzzles but also had a flow that kept things moving. It used live hosts there in person to help us play virtually, and they stayed in character and were funny in the game. The game also made use of online tools, so you could see puzzles up close. It let us connect with my brother in California and my parents in NJ. It gave us a break from just talking on zoom all the time. Thanks omescape!
My fiance and I have done over 50 escape rooms in the NorCal and SoCal. After playing Chaos in the Galleria we are now looking at our calendars for free days for us to do more. The most surprising thing was that our team of 9 players had plenty of room to move (if not) run around to solve puzzles. I call this game the Benny Hill of Escape Rooms as the amount of silliness, panic running and cartoony antics is off the charts. To give you a sample of the absurdity you can experience, Chaos in the Galleria has you trying to acquire the 5th largest diamond in the world. This is not your average heist theme and youll be doing a bit more than breaking into bank vaults.Get your friends together and do this room. Its gonna be a big silly panicky mess and thats why its amazingA few months later we returned to play Forbidden Temple and Kingdom of cats into my review. Both these reviews carry Omescape name and carry unique vibes and puzzles. Kingdom of Cats was especially impressive with its large expansive game featuring expansive rooms and intricate puzzles. With 3 out of 4 games finished I can happily say enthusiast can easily spend a day at this location
We played the Hidden Temple. Great production value with challenging but fun puzzles. Well run operation. Staying safe with COVID.
My group did the Forsaken Temple room and it was a blast! We’ve done a combined total of 20 (I think) escape rooms at different locations across the Bay Area and beyond and we all agreed that this one was fun. The clues and puzzles were varied and required a lot of different thinking styles, and the story and theme were interesting and well thought out. We were really impressed by the fairly high tech features in this room and we look forward to trying out the other rooms at OMESCAPE Sunnyvale.
Did the attic and temple escapes! Doing an escape room in pitch black darkness is definitely a novel experience but I wouldnt do another one of the same type. The temple was really well themed and had very cool designs. The puzzles were pretty creative and well done
Did the apartment next door pitch black escape room and kept thinking about it the next few days. Its such a unique experience. Completed it I n 45 min with no hints.Very cool recommending to everyone.
Disclaimer: we are a team of 4 that played on the order of 30-40 games, most of them in LA, some in NYC, some in Bay area.Escaped the foresacen temple:+ high tech elements, sensors, etc. Some of them are actually lots of fun+ Chinese-themed, which is a bonus if you like the topic- some hard tech elements are frustrating and take several repetitions to make them work. You start questioning yourself, whether you are doing the right thing and that damages the level of immersion- some elements play too many times- I am sorry, but please find somebody who is a native speaker for hints. A combination of non-native speaker players + non-native hinter + sound quality makes understanding of hints hard and frustrating+/- the room is not hard, just the interactive elements take some time to play. Puzzles, even though sometimes creative, are pretty obvious. We also played 2 rooms in their San Jose location and they were a blast!
We did the Chaos in The Galleria. It was a lot of fun. There were 8 of us and many are first timers. The game setup is quite unique (it’s a shopping mall) and is engaging even for a large group. It’s good for both newbies and experienced players. There are enough puzzles that kept us busy, and we managed to escape the room. we had an absolute blast. Definitely will return!
Omescape room are of very high production standard, and one of the bests I have been to in the bay area. Each experience involves involv of different and is always fun and challenging. Go for it.
This was my first experience with escape room and it was super fun! We completed Chaos in the Galleria at the 89th minute (it a 90 minute game) in a team of 9. The game went very smoothly and was quite engaging. The staff was very patient to answer all our questions.
Chaos at the Galleria is one of the top rooms in NorCal hands down. My bf and I have done 140+ rooms. It features a unique and interactive theme with good puzzle flow.
Was sceptic of mystery rooms but went with friends and had a blast. Felt like I was Indiana Jones! Whats not to love?
A wonderful experience! Tried the Chaos in the Galleria - the puzzles and plots are so well designed. Our team really enjoyed it. Will definitely come back to try other rooms!
I would have given 5 stars, but one of the puzzles in our room was not functional and this really broke our flow with the game and led to a lot of frustration with the team. The game hosts gave us extra time, but we were really off of our game and did not finish on time. We really wished the floor button puzzle was working because we think we would have been able to finish otherwise.
What a great escape room experience! Very interactive and perfect for large-ish groups!
Really fun & challenging. Well designed, even escape room veterans enjoyed it. Everything started on time, staff was professional. Only reco for improvement is to get a nicer camera for the after-shot in the lobby, that iPad photo quality isnt cutting it :)
Their rooms are very well designed. Its not your average place where you are just searching for clues. You have a truly immersive experience. The staff is also very friendly and cooperative. They also have different themes behind their rooms, including an all day experience where you play based on touch and sound only.
My boyfriend and I are huge fans of room escape games and have played over 70 rooms. We have had mediocre experiences with other Omescape locations and weren’t really expecting much with the Sunnyvale location, but boy oh boy were we way wrong! We played The Apartment Nextdoor, then we came back in a few days to play Kingdom of Cat-tastrophy and Forsaken Temple. I highly recommend Kingdom of Cat-tastrophy and Forsaken Temple - both are really well-put together. The Apartment Nextdoor was good as well, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those who can get scared easily.
Took on the CHAOS room in a group of 10. It definitely felt like the right size for 6-10 people. There were a lot of great clues and puzzles of varying levels of challenge. It’s the most immersive experience I’ve ever had in an escape room. I would absolutely come do another room!
We did Chaos in the Galleria for my hundredth escape room with combination of noobies and experienced escapers. It did not disappoint. Chaos is highly original: the premise sounds like a heist, but its actually a send-up of consumerism. The attention to detail is impressive--from the goofy fake store logos (Forever 82) to the postings in the employee break room. Most escape rooms only give lip service to story, but Chaos delivers a multi-act plot thats engaging, amusing, and immersive. Multiple meta-puzzles and cut scenes serve to frame and pace the action. A few props felt finicky or under-clued, but for the most part Chaos is extremely well executed.

We did The Apartment Next Door which took place in the dark- very clever!! We had a lot of fun- it was pretty spooky!!
Im a real fan of Omescape rooms. Always high quality in ambience and in puzzles. This newer location has some of their best offerings yet.
Great challenge, my co-workers all really enjoyed our time here for a Friday evening hang-out
We have played most of OMESCAPE games in San Jose, the Sunnyvale one is even better! Forsaken temple is highly recommended - it’s immersive environment is good for small team — many wow moments!
Fun story-based puzzles with good production value.
Definitely one of the best Escape Rooms Ive been to. Always look forward to new rooms they have!
The dark room experience was really fun and a lot creepier than I expected.
Had a lot of fun! I have tried many escape rooms in the Bay Area, but I would say omescape room is by far the best escape room you can find in the Bay Area. This one was as fun as the one in San Jose.
We’ve done a lot of escape rooms and the Omescape has had some great themes, stories and puzzles where you feel like you’re in a different world. We did Forsaken Temple and this was no exception. Wasn’t too hard and a lot of fun.
Booked Forbidden Temple for 6 people. I have done a handful of escape rooms, and this one has been the best so far! It was very immersive, and my whole party loved it. I am excited to try out OMESCAPE’s other rooms in Sunnyvale and San Jose.
Fun! Completed the Chaos at the Galleria challenge with 8 other people.
Great Experience, all the set up and tools were cool. Would love to try another one!
Im a big fan of Omescape. I’ve been to the San Jose store several times and had tons of fun. Last week I checked out this new store and was blown away by the new design and technologies! We played the Forsaken Temple. The storyline was pretty clear - unlike some other escape rooms, where I struggled to figure out the right puzzle that leads to the next step among so many other clues, the Forsaken Temple makes it very clear what the next step should be, so we could stay entertained and not end up wasting any times. Compared to their previous stores and themes, the Omescape did a fantastic job blending high-end technologies (lasers, various types of sensors, etc.) into the puzzles in this new place. The room was designed so cleverly that the puzzles and technologies are integrated seamlessly with the Chinese elements of that theme. We had a group of six. Each one of us was fully involved and entertained throughout the game. The allotted time was 90 min; we successfully escaped in about 70 min. Overall a great experience; will definitely come back for other rooms! Can’t go wrong with Omescape!
We played the Chaos in the galleria (7 players, 6-10 recommended) and it was definitely one of the best escape room that I have ever played! There were some dialogues that made the plots even more entertaining and immersive than a usual escape room.
So excited Omescape Sunnyvale finally opens and I felt more excited after played two games on the day after opening day: the Apartment next door and the Forsaken temple.Overall, they keep their puzzle style and also increase creativity. Decoration is great and gear is high-tech.We will come back and play the Chaos in Galleria next time.--------Maybe Slight Spoiler Alert Line----------The Apartment next door: Its a totally new concept. We played with a group of 4 ppl. The introduction says it is a dark experience game room, but what out of our imagine is that the room is literally dark, we cant see anything in the room all the game, no vision. We can only rely on our hearing and tactile to find a way out. The game starts with an agent giving your a tour of an apartment you want to rent. It lead us to reproduce the scene and we felt being in the story. (Its not a horror game I only felt a little bit nervous but my wife felt scared in the dark. She was holding tight on me all the time. So this game is very good for couples and family.)Forsaken temple: the second game we played was Forsaken temple. They have a very creativity day/night system in the game. We need to change the day and night time to push the story moving on while solving the puzzle. The decors is fantastic. They even use real bricks instead of wall paper. Its a 90min game. At the beginning we were a little worried about if it is too long. But when the game starts, we felt the time flying and enjoyed every minus. I think the major reason is their puzzles are well-designed and align the story.
Amazing and my team had a great time!!
This was a great family party and having parents and children, grown even, work together to solve this puzzle was entertaining and rewarding. We plan to go back.
The vending machine was broken but we escaped anyway so were over it. Five stars!
Best escape room in bay area for sure
The best escape room ever! Highly recommend! Thank you!
Some surprisingly fun escape rooms for groups.
I loved this place! the room i did, forsaken temple, was really fun and the puzzles were all pretty neat and the staff are also friendly and helpful
Omescaoe is great! We’ve done all of their rooms in San Jose and Richmond. Can’t wait to do all of the rooms in Sunnyvale too
Great room, incredibly immersive, fun puzzles, friendly staff
Chaos in the Galleria was very good and high quality.
Good place to hangout with new friends. All the puzzles request people to communicate with each other.
Loved it! Great job
Great as always
Rooms are awesome!!
Amazing
