My kids had a lot of fun. I got some pizza from the grill. The crust around the edge was really good, however because of too much cheese the bottom crust was extremely soggy and I got half pepperoni, half cheese but they didnt get the pepperoni over half the pizza, more like only 1/3rd. There wasnt even 12 slices of pepperoni on a 16 inch pizza. For 13.99 i would expect a little more but overall my kids and I had a great time and would go back again.
Booked my sons birthday party here. The experience was amazing from the beginning with the welcome team at the door. Area was prepped and the process for getting equipment was quick and easy.Michele was amazing making sure that we had everything in place and that we stayed on schedule without making us feel rushed. We definitely got our moneys worth and we are definitely returning. He said it was the Best Birthday Ever!
This is a fun spot to take my son for arcade games. Also the bowling alley itself is on of the nicest most well kept I’ve ever been to.
We had a great time. Great bar food. Gameroom and bowling was fantastic!
First time here. Nice place.....but too many people with covid going on.
Always come here with my wife to chill out on a rainy day or if we dont feel like hitting the expensive club seen.2 people can easily play 45 min worth of arcade games with $30 of credit.Even threw a work party for my employees here once on a Sunday (their super cheap bowling day).Friendly people, futuristic vibe, great prices
Nice newer bowling alley. Clean and well maintained. They have a nice bar too. Didnt have to wait too long for drinks. Staff were very friendly. Fun for the kids and adults
We have been to Stars and Strikes a few times and it has always been a fun time. But we just went this evening and it was absolutely terrible. We got there around 7:30pm had to wait over 30 minutes, just to get our name on the waiting list for a lane to bowl (there were 2 big groups ahead of us that couldnt decide on how to split their payments so not the guy at the counters fault) then was told we were 3rd in line for a lane. My husband pointed out that there were 3 empty (socially distanced) spots for lanes and the guy said he needed to make sure they were cleaned before he could let anyone use them and he was the only one working the bowling area and he had a line. So we wait around 25 more minutes and we finally get a lane just before 8:30. We paid for their bowl/arcade special thats suppose to be for 3 hours but we knew we would only get an hour and a half since they closed at 10. We figured we would bowl for 45 minutes while we ate then spend the rest of the time in the arcade. While we were waiting, my husband went to the bar and orders us food because we knew the kitchen was going to be closing at 8:30 and expected it would take a little while for the food to cook. So we start bowling and around 9 the waiter comes over and says our food should be up in a few minutes. Then at 9:10 he comes back over and asks what we ordered. We tell him and he says okay and he saw them coming up so he was going to go grab them. At 9:20, he still isnt back so my husband goes up to the bar and asks for an update because now its been an hour since we ordered. They said the food was just being dropped, so my husband tells them to not worry about it and just take it off our tab and the girl at the bar tells him she cant do that because the food is already being cooked. At 9:30 I ask to speak to a manager and someone comes over and asks what the problem is, I explain the food situation and that Im disappointed that I paid for arcade cards that we cant even use now because we were waiting on food that was just being cooked over an hour after it had been ordered. She ended up not even being a manager and had to go get someone else, who then issued us a refund. I am happy that I got a refund but I would have much rather spent the money and had an enjoyable time with my family.
Great place with a huge arcade. Employees were super friendly. Make a reservation for bowling or you will be waiting for hours for a lane. Night time brought out alot of kids and very few adults
Booked my sons 10th birthday party here. Great value. Great service.
First time visiting last night the drinks were basically juice the wings we ordered were hard and barely had sauce on them we literally waited hours to bowl with not being able to order food no server came to the table when we went to order at the bar told we couldn’t but the white guy who was with us was able to it’s a nice place but service sucks
This is a fun little arcade/bowling alley. There is also laser tag here but we did not try that. The arcade is a lot of fun, you get a card that you load points on. If youre going on a date 20 bucks on the card is almost perfect. And this is a great place to go on a date, whether your a younger couple or been married for years
Very fun place to be. Many game options for different types of people. The bowling alley is well kept and has a dining option. Laser tag has two levels and is very fun. The only issue is that it can be very loud due to the high traffic of people.
Laser tag is especially fun just make sure you come with a group or schedule a good time with people your age
Service is amazing if you order food. Kids had a ton of fun!
Service was above and beyond. Isaiah, was our servers name I believe. I didnt get a good look at the name tape but he was incredible. Give that man a raise
My wife and her friend went here for her birthday. They came back tipsy and laughing so I bet it was great.
Busy, but good variety of games. Food was amazing
This is a good venue for family fun. The serving staff was excellent. However, when I place my order to traditional wings, I explicitly expressed that I wanted them fried crispy to the bartender. She noted it on The order form and told the kitchen staff. When the wings arrived, they all were cooked soft. I tried eating one and keep the order but I just couldnt. So I spoke with the server and showed him by touching them that they were soft and ask him if he would return them and ask them to replace my order with some wings that were fried crispy. He agreed. He later returned in less than 5 minutes with a new plate with wings cooked at the same consistency. And he explained the manager said that it was because they applied sauce that they were no longer crispy. Because these Wings looked and were the same consistency as the one that I sent back, it is my belief that the manager sent me out the same wings stating that these were a different order fry crispy and the sauce was making them soft. I paid for my order but Im very disappointed that I feel that the manager sent me out the same wings that I sent back declaring that they were different and fried crispy. Otherwise its a great location would love to return but I will not order wings. I felt that was bad decision by management to treat a guest that way.
Great place to bring the family for fun an games had a blast
Everything was clean and their COVID procedures are on point. Was a great experience and the food was AMAZING! Only downside was that a handful of games appear to work but are broken.
My husband and I went tonight and it exceeded all of our expectations. We will be going back once a month!
Used to be a great place. Sadly, theres allot of unsupervised kids running around everywhere. Many non paying people just sitting at or on the games and not actually playing. They were just hanging out in groups talking and goofing off. Therefore, preventing paying customers from enjoying the facility. Such a disappointment to those paying customers.
Nice place to take your family and friends of all ages! We had a blast there!
It’s ok, had my daughter’s birthday party there a few weeks ago and another family had the same section reserved after her party. Apparently we weren’t clearing out of the section fast enough, because security was called over to the section. Glad to know that a bunch of 5 to 11 year old kids posed such a threat.
Best staff ever! Birthday party was a huge success! The adults had as much fun as the kids. And the food is great too! Like a local Dave and Busters.
Loved the energy, but hate how much we spent just getting credits, then most of the time the games are broken. They games also take so many credits to play.
Best place to go on a date or take your family. I had a blast!!!
Fun place to go to hang with friends or family but it is pricey.
Very good food, very friendly staff and have a few decent games.
The wife and I both enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great and so was the food. My wife had the sliders and I had the lobster mac and cheese and both were outstanding! The staff was great with one small exception, which was the young man at the bowling counter didnt tell us about waiting list when we asked about getting a lane reserved. He told us we couldnt reserve a lane and to try back closer to the time we wanted the lane. When we tried back we found out from another person there was a waiting list and it was 3 hours. Overall a great place with lots of activities to do! We will be back!
Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center on Ladson Road in Oakbrook is a great place for all things fun and entertaining. It is good to have something to do in this area and Stars and Strikes offers so much from a place to bowl, play games, and many other activities. This place is so big and has a lot of places and spaces that it is cool and feels like many different places all in one. Every time that I have been there has been very fun and exciting. I really like the food here too as it is very tasty and there are many different options available that all are very good. The staff here is very cool and friendly. I look forward to coming back here many times in the future for even more fun and great times.
Well where to start. The place has laser tag, bumper cars, bowling and an arcade that essentially is like Dave & Busters.I went with my boyfriend and a few friends. We signed up for bowling and there was an hour wait, so in the meantime we decided to play games and check the vicinity. We went up to the bar and after 20 minutes of waiting to be served, I asked for a menu. Due to the wait, We decided to go to laser tag and come back. At laser tag, one of our friends couldn’t play with our group because there wasn’t enough vests. The gentleman just indicated that they were oversold for the time slot & shows my friend to the manager who did refund her the money back.We decided to go back to the bar and be served at a table this time for a party of 5. We waited about 20 minute before the waitress acknowledged us and came to take our orders. After ordering food, the wings were terrible, the drinks were watered down. Applebee’s does a much better job.We then decide to go bowl. (Our buzzer finally goes off after a 2 hour wait). As we are about to start our game, we asked if we can do the 11pm $2 special since we waited 2 hours and it was 10:45pm. They said no.During our game, we had interruption from the party next to us, we apparently weren’t allowed to use the bumpers, weren’t allowed to use the little Dino assistant and to top it off the music stopped at exactly 12:18am for 3 minutes (randomly), the beer bucket was $20 for 6 beers which we can buy for no more than $13, and there was still children in the VIP lanes, it’s 12:24am .
This place is amazing, and really really fun. The only issue is that its very expensive, but Id say its worth it! :)
Enjoyed it when they first opened up. Last few visits service was lacking to say the least. That said its extremely busy so understandably so.
Its like if Dave and Busters had a kid who was in college. Its like Dave and Busters but slightly smaller.
Nice place to go. Family night date night etc. Just hopefully they will work out something on the issues with teens.
Im planning on celebrating my grandchildren birthday parties here.
I was looking for some inexpensive things to do while in Charleston for the week. It’s been too hot to do much outside so I researched some local bowling alleys. Stars and Strikes had a fabulous 99 cent deal for Sunday mornings before noon. It was already very busy in the bowling alley by 10am but I did not have to wait to get a lane. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. Even though I had no intention of playing in the arcade, I was given a comment card with a free $5.00 game card if I filled it out. They had a wide variety of games and the arcade area is huge! Although I came alone and had a great time, I can see that this place would be a blast for couples or families with kids. Highly recommended!
Awesome place, wish there were more around still.
Celebrating neices 9th birthday with family and her friends. Family friendly but adult stuff present. Bar area in open entertainment floor plan though compartmentalized. A ton of arcade games, bowling areas, laser tag, and bumper cars. Main concern would be the ability to roam freely around all areas. Adult bar in open view amidst entertainment. A blend of Dave and Buster feel with Chuck E Cheese kid appeal.
Me and my family enjoyed the family night here. Social distancing was practiced during the bowling and food was very tasty.
Nice place to bowl some games. As of this post it was $13.00 per person for a 40 min game. With specials discounting it further depending on the day of the week. Arcade is fairly large giving it a good amount of options to play have fun and earn tickets for prizes. They also have laser tag which I have not checked out at the moment. A definite check out if you want to bowl in the area of Summerville.
Great service... Beside the long wait for our food. Poor server was the only server and still maintain a positive attitude and smile on his face
Will not return. Apartently they like to charge you twice for food and wont let you order drinks.
My daughters birthday party was here Dec 1. Wed tried to book a party, but we had come to town to visit last minute and they were booked solid. Dominique allowed us to have a birthday party with 10 children and a private room as a walk in!! She even hosted on the spot! She made my daughters party a success and was so sweet to take care of us the way that she did. Our kids had an amazing time!
Love it. Its really fun and has lots of amazing games to play and the food aint bad.
Stars and Strikes is a great edition to the Summerville entertainment scene. It is family friendly by day (and evening) and great for adults at night. There is an arcade, bumper cars, laser tag, and bowling for entertainment. Also, there is a bar and food. Everything is new and clean. Hopefully they can keep it that way. My only complaint is the service time. We were on 2 lanes bowling and had to wave down a server after waiting 30 minutes with no one coming over. The food was good though.
I had a great time and the food was fine. I went with a group of 10 or so and we reserved a VIP lane for 2 games. It costs each of us $18. Then the time ran out so it was also timed and we didnt even get to finish the 2nd game. At the time we were the only ones in that area so there was no wait and we were close to finishing up. But the time ran out... If we had gone in without reservations it would have costs us $4.99 a game. HUGE difference AND we didnt even get to finish. So I guess to have a reservation it costs $8 more and you cant finish. Total RIP OFF. We would have definitely come again but not anymore.
Little high on the games other than that pretty cool.
UPDATEDIt seems that they are very good at explaining things that does not have to be explain. So, by their policies you can spent any amount of money inside but when it comes to get the rewards point, you are limited to exchange only one set of cards ( per person /day ) for points even if you have 3 sets of cards .And funny thing was that one supervisor ( because the manager didnt have the time to come and talk with me ) told me that if someone else is coming with my card and those sets of cards he can exchange them .So whats the point of not letting me exchange them if my son can do it .!!!!!???? .Eventually the points goes in the same account, no ? .5 stars at the beginning + 0 for being ........... devided by 2 equal 2.5 stars review! One of the best place in town for entertainment
Food was good, however, chicken in the Fettuccine Alfredo was sorta dry. All in all service is good and food is good.
This place is so fun. They offer a wide variety of things to do for children and adults. They have two separate sections for bowling. One section offers cosmic bowling, which the children love. The arcade is not overly expensive and there is a wide variety of things offered. We had a great time.
All of the employees were so miserable. I was talking to the ticket boy Tre and he never said a word except you have 700 tickets. Spend them. The food runner dropped food all over the floor. Then left the mess. It was like a free for all there. The cops were there and it just was NOT a family atmosphere. It was my first time there and I dont think we will be back.
Average experience. Food was edible at best, bar drinks were okay, and customer service got the job done for my expectations. Atmosphere is smaller than your average family/arcade and bar. If youre a fan of D&Bs, then go in knowing its a smaller business with their business set to average in mind. S&S is a decent place for what it is but nothing to brag about.
The escape room was fun and worth the price. Go with a group of 4 or 6. Others will not be grouped with you as they are at other escape rooms downtown. The staff at the bar was slow and at one point very rude. Watch your time when renting a bowling lane and save your receipt. I was shorted 15 minutes and had to ask for it to be added back to my time. Otherwise the games were fun and very reasonable.
Cool place! Fun for kids and big kids too! Lots to do!
Not a bad place. I think theyre just weeding out some of their staff. It could be a lot better than it is as far as customer service goes. Bowling is fun, and the majority of the staff are nice/attentive.
The games offered were lacking and social distancing was nearly nonexistent, there were no sanitation stations and staff was few and far in between. The environment felt gross and grimey. The bathrooms lacked toilet paper and barely had any soap. Washing your hands didnt do anything. The only upside to the whole experience was that when you could pin down the barkeep you could get free water. I only had fun on the bumber cars.
O.m.g.what a fun fun place. bowling, games, food, very good price packages. all ages welcome.
One of the best camping experiences Ive ever had. Beautiful place!
So glad this business exists in our city OMG what a great experience when my family and it wasnt expecting expensive at all
Greater Charlestons mini Dave and Busters. Had a blast here. Perfect for a night with the family or adults only night out. Bowling, Dining, Gaming, Bumper cars, and an escape room. They have it all. After 10pm the bar area does become 21+. Recommend reservation for bowling lanes, they fill up super fast.
Great fun for the whole family. Well stocked bar and delicious food. Laser tag was amazing and very well priced. The escape room was challenging and I cant wait to go back.
Games n activity waz pleasant..
Our new favorite place in Summerville! Wonderful experience. Bowling, video games, laser tag ... and beer?! Staff was friendly and helpful. Price was right. We will definitely be back!
Me and my whole family enjoyed ourselves ️
Although the staff could use more training, our group had a good time and other groups near us seemed to be having fun too.Bowling screens were difficult to navigate but the lanes themselves are great!Snacks are a bit pricey but tastes good.
Fantastic!!! We loved it! Games, food, drinks and a lot of laughs!!
Horrible service. Never got food. Employees have terrible customer service even cursed at us because of his mistake. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I barely wanted to give them that one start.
We went as a family to celebrate a birthday. We were going to eat lunch in the restaurant but apparently thats only open on weekend nights. So we went to the bowling lanes, ordering food and drinks there. The food was great, really good. I myself wasnt interested in the arcade, so I sat at a table near the bar and played on my phone while the rest of the family spent a fortune on those silly, loud, mostly violent games. It was fine.
Came here with a few co-workers and their family. We booked the VIP area and was very impressed with their service and attention. The food is actually pretty good!!! And don’t overlook the arcade area...your money will go quickly. The prize options are so much better than chuckie cheese :) Hope you have fun!!
They are doing very well with the social distancing. I didnt see them cleaning and sanitizing at all though. Also, we came primarily for bowling as they have the kids bowl free, but when we came the bowling was closed. It would help if they posted this on the website as no where it says they are closed. My kid was disappointed
Overall fun experience. Employees were friendly and helpful
Was visiting from out of town and my son had a great time
My son enjoys his time here. Wish we had one closer to where we live and not have to drive far other than that entertainment for family
Great place to spend time with kids
Fun for the whole family. We initially went for the Escape Room didnt know all of the other fun things were there. Definitely a stop on the list next time in the Charleston area!
A great place for fun, family and entertainment
Great party place for kids, adults can have a drink at the stocked cash bar, and the food is very good. Its load, lots of flashing lights and a lot of people milling around. Staff is very helpful.
This place was awesome. Were here visiting Mt. Pleasant / Charleston area & my brother & sister suggested that we go bowling with our significant others. Not much of a bowler, but we agreed to go out & have some fun. We were the only ones in the VIP section initially, which was cool... Service was good. Nice spot. Oh & btw, I bowled and won our second game (128)....... .There is a lot to do here, would definitely go again to experience more. We had the lemon pepper wings from the late night menu which were good & drinks were okay too.
Great venue for birthday parties or relaxing with friends. Their lanes are smooth with fun animations for the kids. Good food, a full bar, and fun cosmic bowling. Laser tag and bumper car areas are small, but the kids really enjoy them. Looking forward to the new escape room feature just added.
We were there this previous weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The server in the bar area (we sat at one of the table to eat and have some drinks before bowling) was very sweet; but it took almost 20minutes to get our check. We went to check in for our VIP lane and before we were given our shoes; the rep started to help out another customer. 5 minutes later we received our shoes. Then we walked to our lane, where we found out that the 8PM under 21 not permitted in VIP area; NO EXCEPTIONS was not the case. There was a family with a small child (probably around 5yrs old there having fun and squealing). Now here is the thing; we were having an adult night out; we and our friends got sitters to have our kids taken care of. We questioned it and later found out the child had some sort of special need, while I can sympathize with that - maybe they should have just simply said; bowl until 7:59 but then you must leave as our rule is no exception and some people may have purposefully planned and paid more for this area. They were there until about 8:45.We had fun once we got our game going and the video games were great; that is why I’m giving it an extra star.Oh, and the fried pickles were great. Overall, not impressed.
Grille was closed for reservations. So we seat at the bar tables. Service was terrible. Food came with no utensils. Asked 2 different servers, they said they would get them. 20 minutes later still nothing. As for the food it was decent.
Today is my birthday and we had an absolute blast!
The arcade is fun but I wish it had more games in it
Bowling and arcade were fun. We paid extra for the vip lane. The service was terrible. We saw 4 different people. Only one time was it actually our waitress. She never came back and we had the service button on the whole time. So much confusion going on. They never fixed our drink problem. Never brought us plates, utensils or napkins. Lots of excuses. For the crazy prices for bowling you would expect better service
Nice place, plenty of parking, very clean, staff was helpful and courteous. The prices are high for bowling so for a once and awhile type fun go for it. Arcade and laser tag is available. Full bar for the adults to relax with big screen TVs or go all the way and check out the VIP services.
Had an awesome time my boys enjoyed every moment of it.
