10 stars if was available. Look this is the best Bow shop in the state hands down. I drive 100 miles each way and probably pass 10 other bow shops to get here. I have never had a problem with work being done nor had a issue the staff. However let’s be honest I have a Matthews which is what they sell so i don’t go in there but once every two years or so to have a new string installed. That’s because Matthews is the best bow you can get but that another review. Please please visit here even your not going to buy a Matthews because they do work on ALL Bows no matter the make. I just recently purchased the new 2020 VXR from the Archery Shop and the owner Bud and his assistant Scott are second to none in knowledge and experience. They both took time to ensure that my bow was properly setup and made sure I was completely satisfied with the setup before I left. This is the third bow that I have purchased from Mr. Bud and his service after the sale is unquestionable. I bought my son the Mission this past Christmas and both Bud and Scott have spent a great deal of time tuning and helping him practice with his bow during the off season. I will hopefully be able to post a pic soon of him proudly posing with his first Archery buck!! Thanks for being such great people!!!!

Bud is one of the best guys I know. More like family to me than just a bow shop. Always nice and the same day in and day out. Ive been coming here for years. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Bud and all his staff are extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. This is the only place I recommend. Ive lived in quite a few states and been to well over 20 shops and Bud and his store are by far the best. All these negative reviews sound like the the child of a man that threw a fit because Bud would not sell him a bow that had a deposit on it. If you need help with set up or with help getting better head it. They can do all of it and more. Great shop and great people.

My bow started giving me fits recently so I called ahead to The Archery Shop and asked if they could fit me in during the busy fall season. Mr. Bud graciously fit me in today and had the bow tuned up ready to go in no time at all. Great indoor range and even better staff, Bud and Scott were quick to offer sound advice all while allowing me to work with my bow on the range in peace. Will definitely be going back for all my archery maintenance needs, highly recommend if you’re looking for straight shooters with no bull.

I have been dealing with Bud for over 20 years. I bought a bow from him 18 years ago and my first Mathews last week. He and Scott did a great job setting up the bow and it shoots like a dream. Extremely courteous and knowledgeable staff. Customer service was exemplary. Very down to earth owner and just the sort of place I can see myself becoming a regular at. Due to many life changes, I hadnt shot a bow in many, many years, and had forgotten quite a lot. Staff did their best to help me get back into the saddle by finetuning bow, and improving upon my form and aim while in the indoor range, all instruction and use of the range was free of charge, these guys just want to see you succeed. It isnt often that I am impressed by customer service, and I am so happy I happened to stop by this place because I will never go anywhere else from this point forward. Dont know what these 1 star reviews are smoking, but they sound like insufferable know-it-alls that make business transactions a complete hell for everyone involved. If you arent a complete idiot devoid of all social skills, this shop will have no trouble winning you over as one of the best in the region.

This is the best archery shop that I have ever been to. The nice people running the place know what they are doing and they know how to help you with any problem you might have. Very helpful and honest information on assessing the condition of an old bow. Did not try to up sell me or make me feel dumb for being a novice to archery. Prices were better than big chain stores. Shop is well organized and clean.

This is a great place for archery. So far have purchased two Mathews compound bows with all the trimmings..... have also ordered two recurve bows. Would highly recommend this shop. They have amazing knowledge and make you feel welcome and at home. They also have an indoor range.

I didn’t know much about archery but had some interest. Bud set me up wit a bow along with all the gear I would need and I have taken three Monster bucks since. The man is one of the nicest and most willing to help a rookie like myself that you will ever deal with. Every time I visit Bud’s Archery shop I am greeted with a smile and receive the best customer service you can find. Buds Archery shop is a fantastic place thats very easy going and no skill at archery is required. Bud is a master at teaching the art of archery from traditional, to recurve, to compound. Bud will not push a bow onto you trying to make a sale. When you enter the building you will most likely see a bunch of old guys talking about hunting. Bud treats people like family no matter who you are.

We are new to the archery world and our son really wanted to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow. We found this shop and are beyond happy we did. Bud not only has been giving lessons to our son but when I told him he was autistic he said we dont treat him any different. He’s one of us now. I would recommend this shop to anyone. From lessons to helping us order our son his first bow and arrow, Bud has been amazing. Our son finally found something he loves to do and with Bud being as patient as he is, our kid loves it even more. Thank you soo much!!

I called this shop and inquired about restringing my sons Bear Apprentice II youth bow, I instantly could tell the person on the phone was faking first hand knowledge about the bow, then I was quoted a price of $150.00 for the string and $50.00 foe installation. Thats $200.00 to restring a youth bow that only costs $300.00 new. I ended up purchasing a string online for $40.00 and paying a stiff $20.00 for installation. Had he not tried to rip me off I might have spent considerable more setting up my son with some new arrows and a tune up. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

I had a very bad experience with this shop and the owner bud he did not tie my peep sight and when I asked him about it he said you have to shoot your bow a couple hundred times until you tie in your peep which is not true. thats very dangerous to shoot a bow with a peep sight that is not tied in it can fly out and hit your Riser Ricochet and blind you. he also frayed my strings trying to get the peep sight in the string and i had to replace my strings. also he told me that if you buy a bow from him he will set it up free of no charge and he will also match anyones price on any of the accessories for the bow which he lied about because the sight I got from him he charged me $315 and that sight was only $284 from every other shop and even online. and he did the same thing when my quiver I bought from him he charge me an extra $40 then every other store was charging when I asked him about it he got really mad and cussed at me and told me to get the f*** out of his store. This guy was very mean and rude also he is not very experienced with archery he told me he has been doing this for 30 years but I have watched YouTube videos on archery for only one week and seem to know more than him there are other shops you can go to like Field and Stream, Atlantic game and Tackle, and Palmetto State Armory

Hadnt shot a bow in years and went in with a buddy to see what they had. Within minutes I was holding a bow and shooting a three inch group. Great place, extreemly knowledgable. Lots of guys kicking around hunting stories and talking shop joking. If your looking for a new hobby or anything related to archery this is a good place to go.

Took my nephew there today to inquire about archery lessons. They were pleasant and explained everything. My 10 year old nephew received a lesson and the instructor was patient and did a great job. My nephew is looking forward to returning.

I went to hang out with some family members here. I hadnt fired a bow in 20 years since i was a kid. While there, I was allowed to use the range at no fee, which is apparently their norm. Incredibly, I received expert mentorship from masters and intermediates raising the value of the experience beyond measure. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, while the mentors were professional and courteous. I didnt know a place like this existed. I also didnt expect to find a hobby in archery.

Absolute outstanding....our 10 year old grand daughter and our daughter have been visiting us from the Florida Keys and wanted to shoot a bow and take an archery lesson...we made a reservation at the Archery shop and the experience was without a doubt nothing less than OUTSTANDING and I absolutely recommend you visit them....

Im an archery newcomer and Bud couldnt have been better to deal with.I went in with a bare bow I didnt get from him and a handful of accessories I bought on-line. All I bought from him was a release, arrows, rest and peep housing, yet he installed everything for me. Not only that, he helped sight the bow and offered some tips to improve my form. The atmosphere is so friendly even one of his customers stopped to help me out as well.I dont live in the area (I actually live in Canada and am here visiting), but Ill make it a point to hit up his shop whenever Im in town. This sport can seem a little overwhelming for a newbie like me, but Bud happily answered all my questions and went above and beyond to lend a hand.
