It’s a nice place. It’s really cool. But it’s really small. Usually the thing you want to skate on is taken up.
The new park is sick AF! So glad that old dangerous falling apart park is gone and now the kids have something they can actually learn and progress instead of get hurt on those raggedy ramps. Big ups to the city for getting the Pro Ops Ramps those are definitely unique and worth the trip to skate! Learn those tricks and take them to the streets! NEVER STOP HOPPING FENCES! SKATE OR DIE!
Excellent newly renovated park. Its clean, well lit and offers enough fun for all skill levels.
Good shaded park. Loud metal ramps and when wet, VERY slippery.
Great park im a beginer and the ramps are really easy to go down im only 11 and i can go down the ramps with ease
Too compact...needs to be wider...needs to be revamped with colors...looks too much like an abandoned warehouse...but overall nice to have in the community
Despite the coronavirus, there were at lease 30-40 people there, please enforce a limited people rule.
Its a good park because its under a pavilion, but the layout is for skaters who have a really good grasp on skateboarding, not really for beginners or novice, I think they should steal some of the layout ideas from the Missouri City Skatepark, and make it more on between for skaters or make the layout bigger and add some beginner equipment
Great mini ramps for beginners but you may still fall a lot. A good tip is to bend your knees and lean forward while going down the ramps. It is quite a great place.
Nice place to have fun and practice skateboarding
Its a good skate park i just wish it was concrete
Skate part definitely not open 24hrs was trying to get back into skating but didn’t wanna be in the way of regular skaters in the day so I tried going at night but lights are all off
Nice little skate park. Mostly quarter pipes. Could use more boxes at various levels. Not very big but its whats around.
Really fun for skating
Covered, so thats cool but ramps need to be reworked.
Cmon Sugarland put some money into a better skate park. UNACCEPTABLEEdit: new ramps look pretty sweet. Good job Sugarland . Maybe think about getting the guys from PUSH (public use skatepark for Houston) to help raise money for a large proper cement skatepark). Unless yall got the funds already. Its a good healthy sport thats worth investing in... have a good day!
Great park, no drama...
This skatepark is a joke. The rails are rusty and have holes in them, the ramps are uneven and kids often fall on them because the panels do not line up. The city inspects the park once per month and provides no other maintenance or upgrades. The park is so small that part of the fence was removed so that skaters can have more run-up to actually use the ramps. The water fountain is covered in rust and most of the kids have to skate to the nearby baseball fields for water. The City of Sugar Land did install a new box obstacle last year which is fun to skate but they have not improved this park in any way for the last 10+ years. Most skaters will travel to the Alvin skatepark, Gulfton (Soutwest Houston) skatepark, Texas City skatepark, Southside skatepark, Lee & Joe Jamail downtown Houston skatepark, the Spring (North Houston) skatepark, or even the Galveston skatepark before coming here. The City of Sugar Land Parks & Recreation department, which had an adjusted FY2018 budget of $4,782,092, has failed to realize that a proper skatepark can have quite a positive impact on the younger population of the city. Other cities with much smaller budgets, such as Alvin (the City of Alvin Parks & Recreation department budget for FY2017/2018 budget is $1,679,676) have far superior skateparks while the City of Sugar Land ignores the glaring demand for a proper skatepark.
Wish more boxes but great place
Epic
