Its a great place and it has been renovated and one of the things I have most like it is the cleaning and sanitizing work that I see

Go see a movie! The theater is clean, they have antibacterial wipes at every entrance plus hand sanitizer, and all of the staff are wearing masks, including the deputy. We went on a Saturday evening, and it was a ghost town. If you dont want your favorite theater to close down for good, get on over there!

One of if not my favorite theater. Place is clean and there is Imax, Dolby, and the other new types of formats.Went there during the virus type period and i felt completely safe.

I was great having the theater open again. We enjoyed a private group showing of a classic movie. I had almost forgotten how relaxing it can be to pit your daily activities on hold and sit and enjoy total immersion in a plot.

It was very clean. The staff was extremely helpful explaining the new protocol during covid. The manager was amazing. She made my alcohol beverages even though she was about to close the bar. I would definitely go back to this location.

Great theatre in the heart of Sugar Land! After a long day of shopping. And dining. Step inside and watch your favorite film and enjoy the great seats great view awesome sound and lots of snacks. Highly recommend this location and this facility because the of the friendliness of the staff and awesome presentation.

Good place for moviea month agoO yea I cant tell how was because it was wosome but employees need to smile little bit but it doesnt mean they are not doing they job right because they doing amazing especially cashier in the entrance there smiling make me feel welcome feel I want come back again to watch my favorite movies. Great service I dont know how often they clean the floor but wen I came it it was great all clean because I know they can clean all the time buy they doing so great wen I was there. Congratulations all managers and employees my best on AMC first colony 24 so I can wait to visit one more time.Highly recommended

It was fine...just no crowd at all we were the only family in the theater....system was down so we cant even change timing for our show....movie was good and theater was clean

The spacing of one chair is not enough. I went and this guy bought the seat next to us and the theater was pretty empty. It was creepy and disconcerting with coronavirus around.

Seats are crazy awesome ...overall is a good theatre

Sound system doesnt work properly in Auditorium: 11.It never feels good to leave a negative review. This is one of those rare instances.If you ordered food in AMC app expecting your food to be delivered, you will be surprised. You need to go out and pick it up outside.May be it was a case of watching a late show on a weekday there was absolutely no service. Team morale looked very low and disinterested. Management needs to see whats going on.None of these issues are difficult to address. Hopefully we will have a better experience next time and I get to update this review and rating.

I try to avoid this location at all cost. Literally had roaches crawl on my shoulder and saw a few mouse crawling around inside the theatre. The night scene wasnt any better where it feels like there is a fight that happens outside the theatre.

Wasn’t the best theater experience. Looks really old and outdated compared to other movie theaters in the area. Service is good and isn’t too crowded.

I love the comfy seats here that can recline and heat. Great for back injuries and spinal injury patients like me!

I love going to the movies and go often. This was my first time visiting this theater and Im not entirely impressed. I dont like how the concessions are set up as you pick up your food and pay in separate areas. I do like that you can refill your drink as much as you want. The bathroom was very clean and large. The reclining seats seem more narrow than others Ive been in so I had to sit a certain way so as not to bump the reclining button. The leg rest part also seems shorter than others so my husband had to sit with his legs bent rather than straight out because otherwise his feet would be hanging off. The price is pretty steep at $12.50 a ticket. Overall, it was a good experience but I will probably go elsewhere next time.

It was nice and clean. Has a bar for adult drinks. Gave it a 4 because it was way over priced. One margarita for $16 and it was nothing special. My kid loves going here to watch his movies. Recommend to order tickets online to skip the line or prevent movie shows from being sold out.

5 stars for the seats. They have seat heaters!!! Amazing! 5 stars for the workers who were incredibly nice and professional even while a customer gave them attitude for things that were not their fault. 1 star for the parking lot that consisted of a lost shoe, a dirty diaper, a dead fish, and other trash that you would expect to find at the movies. 2 stars for the concession stands which have a priority line, but other people use it anyway and they were understaffed for a Saturday. Overall 3 stars.

They dont tell you that there are no more refills on large popcorn. The theater was still littered with trash from previous showing.

This is a very convenient and easily accessible location in Sugarland. Will give 5 star for location. Staff is friendly and co-operative. A.C was not working in the theater in which we have to see the movie. Booking clerk inform us prior and also said, we can get the money back, if we feel its too hot. So 5 star for friendliness of staff as well. Picture and sound quality was good as well. The only thing I dont like is cleaniness. The restroom is messy and not cleaned. If I have to choose, I prefer Regal cinema over AMC.

Now that the seats have been upgraded to recliners, this place is AWESOME! Lobby was clean, theater was clean, bathrooms were immaculate. We even had an issue with our tickets and they had no problem just fixing it without question! That some GREAT Guest Services! I am looking forward to my first fan event there!

This place is dirty! Popcorn and trash all over the concessions floor. Trash cans were overflowing. And our theatre wasn’t cleaned before the movie started. Really disappointing when ticket prices are at an all time high. (Purchased online, 2 adults tickets were $39 after fees and taxes). This experience has made me feel like I would do better to stay hone and rent a movie on the TV....

Was very clean! people were respectful! And Theater not only had reclining seats but they also had seat warmers which was a very nice touch!

It was pretty nice. I havent been here in over 7 years. The place has really changed since the galaxy stars on top. Its modern. I still dont like the set up on the way concession stands are but oh well.

You have to ask yourself, what kind of movie theater doesnt have popcorn available? It was a 10 minute wait for them to make it. The operation seemed poorly run in many aspects to include staffing levels. In addition, I am not sure if the police guarding the lobby is reassuring or an indication of a bigger problem they have. I wont be going back.

Not a bad theater. Good video and audio. Seats, are so so. We especially like the IMAX screen. But as a lot of people have noted, this place needs an update. It seems that theyve taken in it for granted that they will always have Sugar Land residents flock in no matter what. We dont go here too often, but it has happened twice now where they have technical difficulties and were just sitting in the dark waiting for a movie to start. They let us know theyre working on it and apologized, but I just wondered how often it happens.

Best chairs in Houston. Will take this theater over any I have been to in the area. The chairs are heated. They have a good snack bar selection but it can get a little crowded. They have a grab and go area for the basics like popcorn and all the specialty items you have to order for pick up. Super place!

This AMC is my go to place when I want to watch a movie because the screens are big and have great resolution. The place is kept clean and the food served is good.

Family and I enjoy a good movie every now and then. Didnt like how they have buckets of popcorn just sitting on the counter for us to grab. How long had it been sitting there? Thats horrible disconnect with customers. Also, why am I paying $15 for cold stale popcorn? Cmon guys. Lets do better than that.

Great location with clean facilities and comfortable chairs. Online tickets and plenty of parking. The theater is the one of the biggest AMC Ive been, and it does not disappoint. The chairs were comfortable and adjustable lounge chairs. Unfortunately our movie started 20 minutes late, and we werent notified.Credit accepted, free parking lot, lounge seats.

The good:The place has been renovated and the theaters are awesome! Sound is great and screens are huge. I cant say enough about the immersion youre given with the screen and sound. Watched John Wick 3 and Star Wars rising of Skywalker in IMAX and was blown away.The bad:Seats are traditional theater seats and are a bit narrow, and with many theaters offering recliners, its somewhat of a letdown when the seats are a bit uncomfortable, especially long play movies. Another disappointment is how convoluted the snack line has become. So confusing that we didnt end up buying anything. Its tough determining the beginning of the line to order when its opening night and is crowded.I really wanted to give it a higher rating but movie experience was affected without my popcorn and soda. And bottom line, its all about the experience right?

The chairs in theater 14 disappointed me cause they did recline but not as far back as other movie theaters. Also the tops for the regular drink cups were not available, and while watching the movie the sound kept going in and out and even stop working about at least 5 different times. They did offer free movie tickets to anyone in that movie setting to ease the frustration thats why I moved the star up to 2 instead of a 1 rating

Great theatre. The seats are very comfortable. Clean place. Ample parking. Great location as it’s in the heart of Sugarland town Centre.Overall the staff is good too.

Great movie theater. I love the seats which are adjustable . Some theaters are smaller with cosy atmosphere. Overall a pretty good experience.

Me and my family showed up 15 minutes early. This particular AMC has everything set up like a coral which was a little confusing to be honest. So I get through all of that mess and get to counter ready to pay and use our $15.00 rewards the scanners are not working and the cashier rang the order up wrong, So now Im waiting for a manager to press the secret code in to refund. (Which I didnt get for 4 days) long story short. It took us 25 minutes to get to our sets. Come on AMC staff get it together.

The staff was okay, but this place needs a serious cleaning. It was disgusting! Trash overflowing from every can, trash on the floors in the hallways. Of the six drink machines only one worked. The floors were sticky and popcorn was all over the consession area. The chairs in the theatre had white stains. It was just filthy.

After renovations it looks great compared to AMC fountains. But yet to renovate the IMAX.it feels so uncomfortable to sit on those chairs. Also Imax screen looks small. I have been to TLC Chinese theater in LA and AMC universal studios so many times for years and I feel this is not at all comparable to them.i was greatly disappointed.

Went to go see frozen two with a pretty big group last night at 7:50 pm, got in really early and things seemed great, then about half way into the commercials a family with enough kids to take up a whole row sat in the very front. All of the kids had phones super bright and playing music which was annoying but it was just commercials so I let it go (no pun intended). Then when the movie started the kids phone was still playing music and the mom wouldn’t do anything about it. Later on the kids phone started playing music for a solid 20min before someone in our group went and brought a worker in, but even after the worker got in she didn’t even tell them to get off their phones! On top of that their baby started crying and their toddler was running up the stairs. Wish I would’ve asked for a refund because half of the movies was spent listening to a kids phone count in some other language. Not happy but good movie

We went to go see frozen2 and its pretty good . Also you can just bring a cup from home and just fill it up with wtv drink you want, and you can get a free drink. Pretty cool.

Presently about to start movie. awesome seating and experience. but it is filthy. maybe because we are in the smaller auditorium. drink cups littered all over. some seats are greasy as they were used as napkins. pretty filthy for the price they are charging now

Great theater and the app makes things so much easier. You make your reservations and choose where you get to sit ahead of time and basically walk right in and sit down.

Giving 2 stars for the comfortable seats. BUT never have I taken my kids to the movies at 1:30pm and had to pay full price. Every other theater is still considered matinee AT LEAST until 3pm. $34 dollars for the Addams Family. Ive paid more for a movie, however it was clean. One of our seats was still covered with popcorn. Another had nasty, used napkins in the cupholder. Not too mention being a rewards member and still having to pay for food the price of my mortgage.

I love this movie theater because it does an amazing job at showing all kinds of movies from big blockbuster to indie movies. Now foreigners films and anime movies. If you get a chance to watch any anime movies go out and see it and support them. They blow away anything made in West.

Clean, no issues this time. AMC Is our go to theater. Their A-List is an AMAZING program for anyone who goes to the movies more than 3 times a month.... you can go 3x a week for the same price without exceptions (wish they had it for a child add on too).

Cost of 15.00 per ticket for HD was high at 1:15pm show and the previews were sound only weHad to ask them to restore the picture 3 times but the movie and atmosphere were great though.

Too expensive and the concession stand wouldnt accept cash!! $22 for small popcorn and two small drinks!!! Will not go back!

Good theatre to watch movies. They have Hindi movies too. They have Audi 13 if I am not work g that is having Dolby surround sound and it gives you a great feel.

Its been a while since I last visited. they upgraded a few of the screenings. a little bit on the pricey side but I can see why. Great sound and picture quality.

Great quality theater. Did not have food, so my rating is not on food. Sound and picture quality is fantastic. The seating is not too cramped. A winner all the way!

We did the prime service. Although the audio was awesome the seats where extremely uncomfortable. The prices astronomical compared to other theaters in the area that have better seating with almost similar audio. Will definitely never go again. Also the theater was pretty messy and unorganized for the time that we went.

Bad experience when watching the Parasite. The entire theater’s sounds system need to be repaired as it has an annoying hissing sound throughout the movie and parts of the systems’ sound is not in good working order . In addition, a third way into the movie the theater’s lights turned on and STAYED on. None of the patrons bothered to tell the attendants and none of the workers checked on the on going movies either . I notified the management but I am not sure if they will fix the AV system or not .

Todays experience was awful ! We are Premier card holders and with that come benefits. The associate that rang up my purchases charged me full price for my popcorn and drinks instead of the discounted price that are perks of the card. I tried repeatedly to let him know he was over charging me. He must have been a newbie. He just didnt get it, and there was no one at the customer service desk to inform of what just happened.On to the movie, or not. I bought tix for the 1130 feature of Peanut Butter Falcon. Waited till about 1150 before I went back to the customer service...oh wait, no ones there. I spoke with a young lady on the floor, informed her about the situation but she seemed to have cared less. I return to my seat and FINALLY the movie starts at 1200.WHAT EVER HAPPEN TO CUSTOMER SERVICE?

Well, I have to give those staffs 4 thumbs up ( including my two toes)The current staffs changed my previous opinion about this location. They were extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient on my request. Way way way better than previous management team.Especially, I would thank the gentlemen who was just sweeping the floor ( sorry, didn’t get your name) and manager, also, SUPER thank and appreciate Evelyn’s assistance. She changed my mind and make me wanna go back to this location instead of AMC 18. She really understand a guest’s need, listen to them, and showed empathy for them. Even, they are under construction, still very patience with the guest.Once again, thank you for everything! See you guys in the future !

I gotta be honest... I like movies theaters, however I don’t recommend coming here if you want to go to the movies. Go to Regal Theatres.

This theater is nice however it could be time to remodel to keep up with the times of a true movie experience these days. There is stadium seating however the seats dont shift back, they sit straight up. There are 1-2 screens that have Dolby sound with the reclining seats. The concession stand stand for popcorn is more of a self-serve set up. They do sell the traditional hot dogs and nachos. There is also a small bar in the lobby where you can purchase beer and alcoholic beverages.

Looks like place is going down hill. Went all out bells and whistles for my daughter to see Frozen 2; our pick up order wasnt out and had to go around picking up our own popcorn...all disorganized. Theater itself was ok...bathrooms smelled and had no soap...ew...just wrong. Hope it gets better.

My family and I went to the Movies to see Godzilla: King of Monsters. Very neat and clean, good food and snacks the chicken and waffles sandwich was good, I just wish I had a little bit of syrup with the sandwich. The hotdog was juicy and delicious. The popcorn was good. I also got a free refill of popcorn on the popcorn.

Ive been here to see Ford v. Ferrari and the Sonic the Hedgehog movie Feat. Jim Carrey. Loved the snacks and the sounds

AMC is the place you want to go if really want to enjoy a movie.I like what they did to the theaters, but the waiting line at the contention still a hassle. Next time I post pictures for you to know what I am talking about.

Too pricey, and the theater has always been dirty when I come in to watch a movie. The food also tastes pretty bad. Still, at least the chairs are comfy despite the smell and the movies are in good enough quality.

They did a great job refurbishing all the theaters in here. Weve always loved this AMC First Colony since they opened

The theater had great seats. There were reclining seats which were extremely comfortable and easy to use. the picture quality was fantastic and the sound quality was superb. The Dolby theater was incredible. There was a great selection of food and beverages, and all of the food was delicious. The restrooms were clean. I enjoyed my time at the movies.

Going to this AMC is an event. Theres a little bar, snacks as well as popcorn and the seats are so comfortable--adjustable recliners with seat warmers! Looking forward to the next visit.

Nice seats and atmosphere.

Descriptive headphones were not available. My son is blind, he uses these to fully understand the movie. Asked gentleman to bring them to our theater once it was ready and he never came! I walked back up to the front after the previews were done and the movie had started and he wasn’t even there. It was a young lady who had to keep asking someone how to program them. Finally a manager named Bradley came and got them to work but by then I had missed 30 MIN of the movie. I didn’t even see how the new forky character came to be! (Toys story 4) Only after I expressed my disappointment did he offer to movie us to another theater but I was with 6 other family members and two babies... no way they would have lasted an added 30-45 min. I had to ask for vouchers to come again. On top of all that the back restrooms do not have changing tables. So moms if you’re watching any movie in any theater other than the ones right in the front, be prepared for a walk and probably missing 15 min of the movie.

That under construction making is much more comfortable. So please excuse their dust during this time of beautification. The chair upgrade alone is definitely worth the wait. The new comfortable chairs include reclining and heating. Just wait, youre going to enjoy the improvements for sure. If its in your budget and you have time, become an A-Lister!

Favorite movie place. One of the few self service type concession stands where you grab what you want and pay at the end. I believe all the chairs are recliners as well.

We lost our keys while watching a movie. Came back twice to look for them but there was another movie showing already so couldnt look. The staff promised to look and let us know (we told them the exact seat numbers). Came back again - the staff told us they looked and couldnt find anything. OK, we didnt quite believe it, went to look ourselves and they keys were sitting right there in a plain sight. Really really spoiled our movie experience.Overall, the seats are very comfy but the sound was too loud.

Loved it. We went to watch 1st day screening of dr dolittle 2 night show. We had digital screen tickets but they sent us to Dolby screen .

This theater is amazing. The renovated seats are sick and the overall quality of the place is great! Highly recommended for movies...especially $5 Tuesdays :)

Most of the time its been great! Clean seats friendly staff etc. We normally get Dolby tickets to get the full experience. They are building a new auditorium called prime next to it. Since then Dolby speakers inside Dolby theater where none existent? Seats were dirty and one of the seats not working but still charged the full price for Dolby... Id rather pay regular price and watch it digital... might have even been better to what they left Dolby.
