Regal Harbour View Grande

Lets start with the good. Thanks to covid, the theater was EMPTY. We were the only ones in the lobby when we went to the snack bar. The theater was clean and the seats were comfortable. Thats where the good ends. The popcorn is REALLY stale. The theater seems to be run by teenagers. It took 15 minutes at the snack bar to get a small bag of popcorn, some nachos and 2 beers... totalling over $30, btw. When we finally got into the theater, we noticed the picture wasnt up, just the sound. Back out to the snack bar to tell them... decided to get a replacement item for the awful popcorn, had to wait 15 minutes because there was ONE other couple placing an order. Got to the counter and told them the popcorn was bad... neither of the 2 working the counter could issue a refund or do a replacement, so instead of missing the beginning of the movie, I opted to just walk away. Btw, the movie was LOUD. Earsplitting. I watched the movie with Bluetooth earbuds in the dampen the volume and still left with a headache. My boyfriend had to plug his ears for half the movie. All in all. A solid 1 star for cleanliness.

One of the best movie theaters in the Hampton Roads area hands down! The stadium seating, comfortable, clean environment is a win, and the hot food selection is decent. They serve beer and wine also... Id recommend an evening out with dinner then a movie here.

Great location with easy access and parking for surrounding areas. Wide recliner seating makes this a relaxing way to enjoy your movie choice. Biggest disappointment is concession stand prices. Popcorn and drink over $17....really? Thats with my Regal card. I am interested in the unlimited Regal movie pass they are advertising, worth checking out. As much as I enjoy theater popcorn, I rhink it is a no go from now on.

Very nice theater. The map quest directions make it a little hard to find and the mall its part of could have better signs directing cars. My only complaint is that the seating was such extreme stadium style, they have to put huge metal railings for safety, but they are right in your line of sight

This is a clean theater from what I can see in the dark but the lobby area it is definitely clean. This not my favorite theater but I go one from time to time because it is close to home. Their prices are high on everything even the matinee compared to the other theaters. They dont start any shows until 1pm

This is a great theater. Stadium seating with reclining chairs. Great atmosphere for making out with a hot chick or taking in a show.

I love the reclining seats and its usually clean. I went to a 1pm show on a Saturday and the concessions lines were packed. The ticket booth was closed with a sign to pay at concessions. The lines were so long I probably would have missed the start of the movie if I hadnt bought tickets online really quick. Tickets are a bit pricey.

Im a fan of any theater offering reserved seating. It makes the whole experience more enjoyable to be able to show up at your leisure. The seats are very comfortable, as they recline, and the theaters are always clean.

Have never had a bad experience here, nor have I had a great one. The concession line takes 20 minutes on average. They have a huge selection of items, but the wait is atrocious. The theaters arent properly cleaned. Theres always popcorn and trash in the cupholders and seats from previous shows. Some reclining seats dont even work, which is super frustrating to get stuck with. The movies themselves are always clear/crisp and sound great, though.

I always love this theater! However my last two visits there, the theater wasnt clean before clean before the showing. Tonight the young man came in during preview to clean up. I had to clean the seat I was sitting on myself. I dont know if they are short staffed but I hope this isnt the norm. They are 5 stars on everything else

This is the best movie theater in Chesapeake, hands down. The seats recline, good food, polite staff and clean. Never had any issues.

The seats are very nice and theater is neat and clean; however each time I have been there the service is very poor. The lines for refreshments are extremely long causing some movie guest to be late to the start of their movie. The popcorn is very dry and salt free, not much flavor. The movie and the atmosphere were great but please work on the service for refreshments. Needs improvement. Theres gotta be a more efficient way to serve the volume of guests. Thanks

Nice place, really like the reclining seating... the people are very nice but the service is extremely slow... waited more than 20 minutes to get drinks and popcorn with only two couples ahead of us when we got in line

Place is wonderful for watching a good movie, I only come here every now and then because of the expensive price. However, if it’s a movie that I really want to see and I want to be more comfortable I always come here because of the recliners. Place can be a bit more clean....

I WAS A BIT DISPLEASED!My family went to the movies on Halloween my dad in his 70s my son and my sister and I. We were all dressed normal in street clothes. My dad and I had paint on our face we bought the ticket went to concession stand purchased popcorn and drinks. Then I walked up and asked for some popcorn seasoning just so happened it was the manager behind the counter and told me Im sorry you have to leave the theater I said Im sorry I just bought my ticket he says youre not allowed to have pain in your face you and him both have to leave leave the premises now I sit within your people should not have sold us tickets nor should they have sodas popcorn and I think that youre being unfair my dad is can barely walk hes celebrating Halloween he says remove the paint or leave so we went to the bathroom and try to wash our faces which didnt turn out well and we looked like something exploded in our faces yet we still watch the best we could and watched her movie I think the man was unreasonable. I have gone to the theaters many times before and never had a problem even though it was a different area I was in Richmond and they allowed it in Portsmouth doesnt how strange or Suffolk I should say. Pretty much ruined my dads night.

My husband discovered this theatre and he loved it because of the recliners & I like that they serve wine even though I’m not a fan of the selection. We’ve been to about 4 movies over the course of the last 6 months. It’s kinda pricey but it’s worth it for the experience. The best part is our kids love it.Last night was our first time going at night. Just the two of us as a date night. It was horrible. Horrible service. The entire theatre from lobby to actual theatre was extremely extremely dirty. The popcorn was somewhat fresh but disgusting and flavorless. I returned it twice but it still tasted nasty. I love movie theatre popcorn but this tasted like it lacked salt and butter in the cooking process. Tasted like the popcorn that you cook on the stove in the pot or the at home air popper. Microwave popcorn tasted better than this. I paid $10 for a large popcorn and even after getting it refilled twice due to the taste I ended up not even eating eat. The worst part is the theatre seemed sold out but it was so so dirty. The man next to me was heavy set and he took up more than his own space in the chair. So I spent two hours squished to the left side of my chair extremely uncomfortable in the recliner. I expected a different crowd at night but what I didn’t expect was a whole other experience. I’m not sure if they were short staffed this time but I recommend going here between open to about 8:00 pm. It’s horrible at night from what I saw.

The overall experience was great. It was clean the staff was professional and cautious. We will be returning in the near future.

This place has gone downhill. Management does a poor job of maintaining the theater. The place always looks trashed. Was seated for a movie 10 minutes before showtime and I walk into this. Manager was no where to be found and had to prompt the staff to clean it. This will be the last time I come to this place.

Catching a movie tonight with my son and nephews, a mouse ran across the seat multiple times. I heard squeaking at one point and thought it was the movie. When I informed the cashier she announced on the radio to management we have another mouse in theater 2. Totally not acceptable.

Love the reclining seats and the friendly staff at this location. Lines usually move fast and they are great about automatically applying regal coupons or asking if its a one time use one.

Great seats, friendly staff, interesting dining options. Sadly, the ticket reading kiosk seems perpetually broken or malfunctioning, forcing us to wait in line regardless of premium membership (first world problems, I know). Every time I ask about the machine the staff make it seem like nothing is broken or Im asking the impossible, so maybe corporate wont splurge on a replacement. Some of the theaters screens have a harsh line down the side, not sure what that is...

The reclining seats, and ability to reserve seating, is awesome. The staff, staffing, and friendliness of the people up front could use some work.

Love this place!! The HUGE seats comfy and have electric reclining. You can choose you seat when you purchase your ticket. Very clean! And the kids are reminded to be out of the theater before curfew. Thats a nice touch that keeps everyone mindful of how to behave.

Beautiful theater, always clean and so so comfortable. However, it’s a terrible idea to sell tickets at concessions. Lines are always so long! If you’re going to cut costs, put more kiosks in at least. We’ve missed the trailers every time just waiting in the freakishly slow lines.

I paid $25 for my son and I for the 10:20pm showing of Spider-Man. $25 for large popcorn, 1 large soda, and 1 large icee. Grand total $50. The seats were nice because they recline but the soda tastes like pure sugar. A lot of syrup and not much carbonated water. Also the popcorn was burnt and stale. At $8.79 for a large bucket of popcorn I expected it to be edible. I walked the popcorn back to the front, missed part of the movie only to be told sorry.No offer to replace it or refund. I won’t ever buy their popcorn again unless I ask how old it is. Biggest disappointment was that not one employee looked like they wanted to be there. Zero smiles on any of their faces. If they don’t want to be there then why would the community want to go to that theater? Also if you are not going to make new popcorn for later shows then offer a deal on it.

OMG! This was my first time there and I was very pleased! The seating here is marvelous! First, you get to choose your seat before entering the auditorium. Then you find that your seat reclines to a nearly sleeping position, if you want! Its roomy and comfortable and the only thing missing was the vibrating heat massage! There is SO much room in the aisles that when someone walks past you to get to their seat, you might not notice! I kid you not! No buttcheeks in the face at this place! I didnt get anything from the concession stand, doing the keto thing...again, so I cant tell you about those prices but I bet were paying for those seats at the concession stand. The line was very long though. I dont go to the movies often. I think the prices are outrageous so I only go when theres a movie I cant wait to see on HBO, Showtime or TBS but this outing was well worth my hard earned money. Ill be back, for sure!

Very slow at ticket window and conssession stand, super long previews, still you should get there early. Seats were very comfy, plenty of bathrooms, overall great experience!

The people there seemed nice enough but they didnt have enough employees working the counter. Also ai bought an Ice cream but the case was locked had to wait for them to open it. Also I highly suggest you bring your own food or eat before the show. I dont know if it was because oI went on a thusrday but they sodnt even have the right times above the movies.

Line to get popcorn and soda was long but I was in and out of the line in about 5 minutes or less. The reclining seats are comfortable to use and movie experience overall was good.

Every movie theater should have reclining seats. The employees were polite and helpful.

I have been coming to this movie theater for years and it is very nice. The reclining seats are a major benefit because it makes it more comfortable watching a film. Also, the staff is efficient and it is usually quite clean.

The seating is the best around. The service? Not so much. Ticketing is less than enthusiastic and concessions are a joke. It seems management may have switched in the past year because for about a year it’s been a steady decline. My last visit with just 3 customers ahead of us each with 3-4 in their group took 15 minutes. Today the line is back towards the ticketing and hasn’t moved for over 5 minutes. 3 lines open and 5 people behind the counter. It’s worth my time and money for gas to go elsewhere to have better service.

My first time at this location.This place was well worth the drive from Virginia beach, the seats alone may be worth it you for the drive. My slow friend who got us the tickets accidentally got the very first row and thank God for the ability for the chairs to recline. I will never sit in the front again but this place still has a great setup.After going here twice everything is very clean and I will be attending again.

Went to see Just Mercy and halfway between the movie there were a shadow to the left of me jumping up and down the stairs. We had company that distracted us from seeing the movie. Been to the movies 3 times prior to this time and realized how dirty and filthy this theatre were. It use to be top notch. Anyway, I took some pics of their visitors and left out of the theatre. We proceeded to the counter to talk to someone in charge and they acted as if it wasnt really a problem. I didnt really want to write this but I didnt get the impression that anything will be different if I return. Ive watched 5 movies in the last month there and I hope it change or I wont be returning

We drive out of our way to go to this theater because we love the seating! Super comfortable and usually pretty clean theaters . Only downfall is that the theater concession area is always INSANELY slow, especially on the weekends, so I would suggest giving yourself a few more extra minutes if you plan on getting snacks before your movie.

Great theatre, great service and up to date technology, they have some great members rewards type programs. The concession closes before the movies are over if you go late at night though.

As Ive said before good staff, very helpful and positive. Popcorn fresh and correctly seasoned. The unlimited ticked deal with the 10% off on all concessions is great if you see just 2 movies a month, poor like me much more. What more can you ask for at $18 a month.

Concession lines are the worst ever! I have been to a theater that was this unorganized, also when there is a grievance like my chair not working there is not even a hint of management to be seen to rectify these issues or provide any service to the customer.

Really love this theater. Large roomy sears. However the services seems to have gone down lately. Went to see avengers which was pretty much sold out all say today. (sunday 5may) . It took over 30 minutes to get popcorn and snacks. Then get to our seats. They were not cleaned at all. The cup holders were soaked chocolate and soda in two of them. Then we sat at a blank screen for 15 minutes because someone forgot to start the movie. Normally this theater is great but I guess they were just off the mark today.

I really like this movie theater. My only complaint is that some of the seats in certain rooms are not worthing. This is an issue because I dont know which seats are actually broken until after I get in there. Other than that its a nice place.

I recently had ankle surgery and am in a wheelchair. What a perfect time to enjoy a movie with my daughter and grandson. Upon arriving at the door the staff was huddled inside socializing. My daughter struggled to hold the door open while attending to my grandson and pushing me in the door. The four staff members just watched and offered no assistsnce. The reclining seats are nice but were sticky and had greasy spots all over them. Clearly they had not been wiped down recently. On a positive note, Toy Story 4 was enjoyed by all.

Regal Harborview Theater#10 10:30pm showing of US The theater was filthy very nasty trash cups snacks etc. everywhere no one cleaned it after last movie I spoke to the Manager he act as though it was no big deal about 10 minutes later someone came in to pick up trash during the previews never picking up trash on Row E where I was sitting I am so disappointed in Harborview and management did not follow up with me or even check to see if the Theater was cleaned correctly which it was not...Disguised...

Dont order cheese pizza here, after you wait for 20 min they go in the back to check on it and then tell you its going to be another 5 min. Meanwhile the movie you are going to see has already started. Asked for a refund, you would have thought they would have just refunded my money & given me the food for waiting so long. That didnt happen. Dont plan on coming back.

This used to be the spot before Cinemark came along. My favorite part about this theater are the recliner seats. The prices are a bit high but for the experience, Ill take it.

This use to be an awesome movie theater. It is very undermanned now waited in line for popcorn and a drink for a hour and ten mintues. You now purchase your tickets and food at the same counter. You might want to make sure get there a hour and half before your movie becuase you have to wait in that line and no one longer checks your tickets so you dont even need to purchase tickets so someone will probably be in your seats. Definitely wont be coming back.

It seems like Tuesday is a great day to see a movie here. There was no wait at the ticket booth or concession stand. There Are so many options for food. Choose from nachos pizza popcorn hotdogs or candy. I got the best buttery popcorn. The staff was prompt and polite. I was able to choose perfect seats at the ticket window, I will be downloading the Fandango app. You can purchase tickets and reserve seats ahead of time. The theater itself is very comfy and clean, the chairs are plush automatically recline. You can easily catch a nap here. I always enjoy myself here. Also if you love Disney check out Aladdin, the remake with Will Smith is awesome!

This theater doesnt care and theater needs some TLC. Today we went to a matinee and no one was in line at concession. Asked for a small popcorn, no butter and we were given a small popcorn with butter. Got them to fix it and then we asked for popcorn salt. The clerk gave us the entire jar, no cup. So we stood there for five minutes while the same clerk walked past us 5 times trying to get his attention so we could get a small cup. No luck, so I made a makeshift cup out of napkins. Go into the theater and there are wires hanging down in front of the screen (pictured). Sound is horrible, not loud at all and sounded like the surround sound was off. Went to the bathroom and most stalls were missing toilet paper or full of urine. Absolutely disappointing.

My husband and I used to love this theater. Recently, management made changes to how they run this location and are experimenting with all sorts of ways to run the lobby. Its horrifying. You are required to purchase your tickets at the concession stand as opposed to the box office. The concession stand lines are long and unruly. No one collects tickets any longer, so anyone can walk right in and watch a movie for free. This leads to fighting with people over seats, which is quite disruptive to the movie. This place needs to get their act together.

My husband and I went there tonight to see a movie. We got to our seats and the cupholders were filled with leftover wine glasses and the area around our seats had clearly not been cleaned. The popcorn tasted a day old and every employee at the theater seemed like they didnt want to be there. We had a gift card we couldnt even use at concessions because they apparently dont work from the app. Weve been here before numerous times and it just seems to be getting worse every time. I highly doubt we will be back and from this experience, well be sure not to recommend the theater to anyone.

One of the most comfortable theaters I have ever been too. The recliners are great and the whole room is so open. They have a military discount or the option to buy a full price ticket and reserve your seat on the Regal app. Super easy.

Im beyond disappointed in this theater and may not come back. This used to be the go to theater in the area; however, now its a total overpriced disappointment. The bathrooms are gross where half the toilets dont flush and the other ones leak water! The customer service is rude and slow. The other night I waited in line for over 20 mins with 3 people in front of me for concessions. My husbands seat was broken another time and there wasnt a manager to be found. The front box office is rarely open and people have to buy tickets at concessions . I dont mind spending the money I do because we love the movies and come at least once a week, but Im not happy with the value for my money. Even though Cinemark at Chesapeake Square doesnt have reclining seats, Ill be going there from now on.

I am hard of hearing and regal cinemas has been very accommodating to me and my family. One of the employees, I dont remember her name, tried for 10 minutes setting up a very complicated set of subtitle glasses. With out her I would not have been able to enjoy the movie as much as I did. They have been nothing but fabulous and I recommend this place far more often.

I used to love watching movies at this theater. I quit buying concessions a couple of years ago because the lines were so long and the personnel working concessions was incompetent. Now theyre selling the actual movie tickets at the concession counter. No, thank you. I wont return until that changes.

Floors were disgusting including the main entrance. Staff werent very friendly. 3 out of the 5 seats we chose for the movie didnt work. And prices for concessions were insane. This place has absolutely gone downhill over the years and Ive been going there since they opened when I was in high school. Gave it 2 stars only because the movie played fine and the sound was good.

I ordered my tickets through the Regal app, so my seats were reserved - which, since it was a sold out show was marvelous! I love the fully reclining seats and the reservation option at this location. We saw Mary Poppins and very much enjoyed.

My wife and I had a great time taking two of our grandsons to see Lion King. The arcade games were the highlight of pre-movie activities. The staff were helpful and a lot of fun.

Seen Rambo, good movie and the theater is always clean and they have the best seats in a theater of local theaters I know of.

The ticket price was reasonable and the theater was nice and clean.

The incentives here are great and the staff are always willing to help if youve run into a ticketing issue. My only gripe is the frequent 15-20 minutes waits on concessions. I dont mind missing previews but when I actually miss some of the movies run time, thats pretty disappointing. Obviously the easy solution is to show up earlier but if youre too early, then your foods cold when the movie starts. Catch 22

I SO MISS living in N Suffolk and going to this theater. The seats CAN be reserved ahead of time, the seating is AWESOME. The theater is clean. BEST place to see a movie!

Love this movie theater for the seating. When you purchase your ticket you also choose which seat assignment you want. Service is pretty good but its not always easy to go above and beyond at a movie theater. But everyone I did approach was very friendly.Because of the seating style it is a bit on the pricier side, at least compared to other local theaters. Also try to purchase your tickets early especially if you are watching a new release as you may get stuck in the front row. I myself did not like the front row experience as it was too close to the screen for me.

I haven’t been here since the upgraded theater. I purchased front row seats because everything else was sold out. I was hesitant to take the seats but once i got my seat, sat down and reclined, I was so comfy. There’s leg room for everyone. Very pleased.

The movie was supposed to start at 910 but because of all of the previews and commercials it didnt start until 935. The staff was friendly and love the recliners.
