Campground was beautiful well kept and quiet. Wildlife GALORE! The gentleman that works here kindly brought us to our spot. They were very friendly and helpful. Our Verizon phones had ZERO issues including our internet service. We did not pick up any tv channels with our tt antenna, but that wasnt an issue for us, just an fyi. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating was the bathhouse was co-ed...idl that, therefore I just used my own bathroom, but my husband is 66 and its harder for him. The facility itself was nice and clean and washer and dryer was in the same building, so you could shower while you washed clothes! We actually enjoyed it so much we chose to stay 2 extra nights. Its pretty local to Rushmore, Custer State Park, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon and just a little further to the Badlands. All very much worth seeing!
Very well managed and beautiful!! Went RV camping in the winter and Rush No More was a welcome surprise. Great location for many attractions and the owner was helpful with any of our questions/needs.Thanks for a great stay.
The owners are friendly and accommodating. We loved walking around the campground and trails. The grounds are beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. You can tell the owners have put a lot of care and love into this special corner of the Black Hills. We can’t wait to stay again!
They like to crowd you in here pretty tight but the other amenities make up for it. Its enough off the highway for beautiful views, we even had a deer trot through the camp one day. They have a little bar (no liquor), that is open in the evenings so you can get together with other campers - they also serve up some really good pizza and free popcorn. You can also play a little pool there. The people who run the park really take care of you which is a nice change.
What a great place to stay. Fairly priced, very friendly and helpful staff. We were on the road and called to see if they had any long sites for one nite, our rig is 71’ long, upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and waves directing to our site. Many shade trees and grounds looked clean and organized. Only stayed there the one night but would go back in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this campgrounds no matter what your camping needs are.
Stayed on the upper hill. Great amenities and the staff is wonderful. Vampground is very cleaned and has two locations with very clean laundry rooms and a wonderful rec room with lots of games books tv computer. Even has a pool and a bar n lounge where there have jam sessions a couple nights a week. Something there for old and the young. Cant say enough good things about this place. Very highly recommend. Oh cant forget to tell you that their rates are very reasonable.
Great RV park with excellent location to use as home base for exploring the area. The staff were terrific and we would really like to thank Ed (the owner) for helping us out with the tire on our tow dolly. He went above and beyond making a few phone calls and had us back on the road in an hour and a half!Thank you all again!Charlie and Caren Fields
Absolutely love this place!!! It is tucked away from the interstate and the area is beautiful! The owner and his staff are amazing people and very accommodating. Their bar area is really cool and the facilities are great! I 100% recommend this place! I can’t wait to go back!
Very nice spot, don’t pass this up. Stayed an extra day close to everything close to I 90 but no road noise. Will definitely be staying again.
I would say. Traveling the last 2 months and stay in many campsites in 4 states. This is the Best. The staff is outstanding. Great amenities. Very Beautifl area. Cant ask for anything better. Oh yea the Prices are fantastic. The Best. Ty all. U guys and ladies r the BEST.
A half a mile off I-90 and right before you get to Sturgis SD you will find a hidden gem called “Rush-No-More RV Park and Campground.” This beautiful campground is tucked away in the Black Hills, yet accessible to all RV campers alike. They have multiple large pull-through sites, back-end sites, tent camping, and cabins. Some sites have a spa package, which includes a hot tub. Some of the amenities are a heated pool, hot tub, beer garden, bathhouses, laundry, game room, library, and a play area. You will feel at home yet know you are on vacation. We have seen wild turkey and deer running around this oasis. We stayed for a week and enjoyed the area attractions. Our favorite thing about this campground is the people who work here. The owner and the camp hosts will go out of their way to help you. We formed a friendship that I hope will last a lifetime.
We stayed here last week while visiting the rapid city area. The campground is nice and well taken care of with nice amenities. Laundry room was clean and Wi Fi worked well most of the time. I could see it being pretty crowded as the sites are very close together, but since there were not too many guests while we were there it was not an issue. We were only going to stay 3 nights, but extended for 2 more. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.
Good shady areas for tent camping.6 showers and 4 restrooms are located close to the camping area. Small pool and jacuzzi is close too. Only problem is campers that park their bikes next to their tent and come in late at night or start leave early in the morning and riding right by your tent. Decently priced. 5 miles south of Sturgis.
Nice campground, clean facilities, friendly staff. Gave a 3 due to noisy neighbors (kids Were really loud and large dog barking). Asked for a quiet shady quiet spot and we were Put by the road, always sun on the RV and on a hill. Bought ice bags at office and they were 4 bucks a bag. That is straight out price gouging. The hills a s Forest around the property Is absolutely beautiful!
We tent camped here, just 1 nite but it was amazing. Very clean and such amazing people running it. Will absolutely reccomend this place.
So amazing!! Great customer service, they opened up early to make me much needed coffee ️ I was delayed because of a hurricane, and they were able to accommodate. Cabin is perfect and clean, linens provided was clean and comfy, live music on Wednesday night was fantastic, playground gave me hours of relaxing as I watched my 1.5 year old and 5 year old play safely, dog-friendly, heated pool and hot tub, clean bathrooms, beautiful woodsy area with great views. We will be back!!
I left this campground today two days early. The owner has us packed in so tight we are like sardines in a tin can. We did ask to be moved to another place they had some places in their overflow camping the owner refused to move us.The campground is nice enough clean showers clean bathrooms nice little beer garden with some great music most of the staff seems nice enough. I know this was a very busy Fourth of July weekend but the owner forgot about customer service we will never be there again. This is in response to Ed the owner. Thank you sir for the refund. I’m sorry about the miscommunication or misunderstanding. I was talking with your staff but you’re right I never did talk to you. once again I apologize. You have a beautiful campground there. we will come back when you’re not so busy thank you.
The staff was amazing. The campground was clean. The beer garden was fun. We love Pat, bartender. Thank you to Kelly and Allen who were incredible camp hosts.
Nice clean campground friendly people. The campsites were on top of each other could. Could barely put out our slide. And couldnt even put out our awning. Dont think we will be staying there again. Way to many campgrounds in the area that are not stacked on top of each other
Great place...far enough from the freeway to eliminate the worst of the noise, yet close enough to be convenient. Nice facilities.
My familys first camping trip. Great place to stay. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Being a first time camper with a travel trailer, I forgot a few things and they were so helpful to get me the few things we needed. We will be back.
This campground is beautiful and so well maintained. Ed and his staff and very friendly. We travel a lot and this has to be one of the best! We enjoyed the music at the beer garden. We are booked here for three weeks and half way through, I dont want to go home!
Older folks. Charged one of us for spot on floor that was there when we arrived. Cabins could have been cleaner. A few of the employees were wonderful!
This place is clean, beautiful, and very convenient. The owners and staff are very accommodating. Great job Rush No More campground!
Great campground outside sturgis. Has a nice heated pool and hot tub by the office. Kickstands bar/music venue is right across the interstate.
What a beautiful park, and perfect location for exploring the Black Hills area. We were there pre-rally, pricey at $795 for 8 nights (but half the price of actual rally). Next time well visit when rates are normal, since we dont attend any rally events anyway. We just ride our bikes on all the beautiful roads and scenery. We will definitely stay here again. They have a bike wash area, a beer garden with live entertainment on the Wednesday and Sunday we were there. We had good tv with our Dish Wally. The sites are packed close but there was no one parked next to us until closer to rally start. Even with the gravel sites (Im a bit fearful riding my Harley on gravel:), Im giving 5 stars because we truly had a 5-star week in Sturgis!
This is an awesome RV park! The people running it are super friendly and helpful. Your a few miles down the interstate from Sturgis, the location is quiet and serene. We have a side by side and we’re easily able to access the Sturgis/black hills trails for riding. There is even a bike wash for clean up afterwards. The “Beer Garden” on site was fun with pool tables and TVs.
The park is okay, internet is strong but NO STREAMING. So when they say you have WiFi, you can Google stuff. That’s it. No cable and a governor that shuts down ANY streaming, even in games. So be ready for that.
Best Campground/RV Park in SD.. We stay here every time we come to SD.. Very friendly owners and employees... Highly recommend...
Great place nice location good price but they have a bee issue
In spite of a modified Sturgis and global pandemic they would not allow me to modify or refund my nearly $900 purchase on camp site reservations. While I can appreciate they’re a small business and need cash flow, not a second of consideration was done on their part before quickly raising their tone with me over the phone and refusing any accommodation now that due to COVID the rest of my group needed to back out and I don’t feel comfortable making the 1,800 mile ride solo. Would have gladly moved my reservation and they could have kept the funds but now I’m out the nearly $900 and will be forced to stay elsewhere in future Sturgis rallies. Encourage ownership of Rush No More to show some compassion and understanding during this trying times for many.
Camp rush no more was one of many options of rv campsite in the Sturgis/ Black Hills area in South Dakota. We were so happy when we got here and saw all of the other RV and Campsites in the area - it is so clean and comfortable and the view here is AMAZING and the WiFi connection is great. The people are so nice and accommodate to your needs as much as they can. There’s love music and happy hours here and the people are friendly and fun. I highly recommended this place for anyone traveling in RV/Camper.
Wonderful campsite! Clean and organized. Friendly service.
Awesome campground right off the interstate but tucked right back into the hills. Nice, quiet, in the woods.
Friendly staff. Very nice and clean. Thanks for having us for the Rally
Awesome place...nice folks plenty amenities...like the bike wash
Great little cabin, slept all 6 of our group. Very friendly management. Perfect spot to explore state parks and do some riding on our Polaris razor. Would definitely stay again! On site laundry and (air hockey) made it a comfortable home base for us :)
Nice place, not far off get, clean bathrooms and showers, a heated pool, tons of RV parking and super nice cabins you can rent. They had live music there on labor day weekend, not sure if they always do. Pizza cafe. Really nice and helpful staff. We tent camped, they have a hill area for tents right above bathrooms & showers, we got lucky to be the only ones with a tent and got a level spot at the top of the hill. Price isnt bad considering the added amenities.
If you dont have a great time here, its your own fault, you cant find a better campsite anywhere. Ed and his staff are top notch and work hard to make your stay fantastic. The live music is a nice touch and the beer joint is a nice addition. You truly cant find nicer people than this. Thank you Ed and Texas John, were having a GREAT time.
Clean and convenient campground. Friendly management. Nice place and really enjoyed our time here. Highly recommended.
Very nice campgrounds. Friendly staff. Clean restroom and shower.
If youre going to Sturgis this is the place you want to stay. Clean! Quiet! They have a pool a spa a bar, laundry room. Showers that are super clean and maintained. RV camping tent camping cabins.
Camp spaces were so close you could touch your neighbors RV
Great place, we will be back!
Nice campground. All gravel spots, no concrete. Hard to get our Class C level. Internet spotty. Electric is low. Our lights are dim. Employees are very friendly. Cabins are so cute. Campground is kept very clean. All of the pine trees are beautiful and smell wonderful.
Soo fricken awesome! They are the nicest sweetest people! Great spot! The best ever! Awesome, clean, well taken care of place. The gals rock! Thank u so much for making a great memory!
I took my family here for an extra Christmas surprise and we were all extremely impressed with the cabin and how accommodating Ed was. He is very helpful, and checks on you to make sure you have everything you need. It was so beautiful, the mountains were breathtaking with all the snow. The location was great, we will definitely be back!
Always a great place to stay. Very clean bathrooms. Awesome staff. Beautiful scenery
Nice clean well kept campground. Staff was wonderful. They put us in the back away from the hustle of the bluegrass festival they were hosting. After trying for an hour to level our 32 ft MH they gave us another spot. The Wed. Night jam session at the campground bar was fun. And we enjoyed the bluegrass festival. Not really a complaint, but info for others there is free Wifi but no cable. We couldnt pick up any TV with our antenna.
Relatively quiet campground, reasonably priced with clean bathrooms and showers. The beer garden is an added bonus.
Stay was amazing, we had to get a cabin due to the rain. The BEST campground Ive ever been to, has everything you could possibly need.
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome place and great people...
I visited this place in the past to see my Sister and Brother-In-law. My Mother and Aunties stay here often. I liked the place so I reserved a cabin for Labor Day weekend 2019 to meet my family who reserved 5 sites and another cabin. Reservation and check in was simple. Cabin prices are competitive with Elkhorn Ridge, where we normally camp as a group. Cabins are more basic at rush no more. They need to do a better job on cleaning their cabins. Plenty of cobwebs and my daughter had me kill no less than four spiders. Our first evening there my adult nephews and my adult daughter were sitting around the campfire around midnight. A golf cart pulled up real fast and close with two people in it and just sat there and said nothing. So I ask them if they needed help. A man steps out of the cart very inebriated. And declares he that he is the owner of the place. We werent being loud so I figured he would just stop by and say hello and leave. However, he interupted our conversation and proceeded to talk about himself unintelligibly and aggressively. The female in the cart got embarrassed and left. My nephew told him who his mother and stepfather are since they stay there often. Maybe that would ease his behaviour. That didnt matter. So one at a time we all gracefully thanked him for stopping by we figured he would leave. In his boisterous attitude he declares I dont care what you all do, you can all F each other for all I care. At this point I figured it was going to get bad. He then looks at my daughter and begins to say something rude. I had to stop him from speaking and then we picked up all of our chairs and packed it in for the night. A lot of things to consider here. My concern is if I got aggressive with him the law would be called and I have too much to lose if I taught this drunk some manners. Also the entire weekend would be ruined. My entire family at this location had five RV camping spots and two cabins. My daughter had driven 10 hours to get to the campground and to witnesses this behaviour was unacceptable. The next day I discussed this with the family and my conclusion is I will never give this person my money again.
Wonderful place with super friendly and helpful staff. Centrally located to see all the great surrounding beauty and attractions in and around the Black Hills. Our large site in the back was quiet and peaceful (and the hot tub by our site was amazing to come back to in the evenings!). Really nice park Ed and we will be highly recommending it!
Very nice people and property. Will definitely stay again.
Great place tucked away in the trees. Love the activity room for kids and the Bar that Ed has put together. I bet staying there during Rally week would be a blast. We were early and held a family reunion...would love to stay here again.
Nice enough park; close to Sturgis, Deadwood and not too far from National Parks. THEY DO NOT ALLOW CAMP FIRES. Internet is spotty and lost power a few times.Glad we had a gravel site, but not right next to the entrance and dumpsters. Not far when taking out the garbage but TOO close when the truck comes to dump it.And something needs to be said to the inconsiderate people hooking up their cars to the back of their diesel class As parked next to another camper engines running at 6 AM.
Nice location. Fairly quiet, but heard quite a bit of traffic noise at our site. Staff are friendly. Showers are very small. Sites are little too close together for my liking, but they dont seem to stack people on top of each other unless they have to.
Not the greatest campground on our trip out west. There was a lot of rain, of course that couldnt have been helped, but was really muddy. No concrete pads, the shower house ok, was kinda of pricey for the amenities.
Awesome campground. Will stay here again. Friendly staff. Sites are really nice.
Definitely a 5 star RV Park with Cabins and Tent Camping sites. Restrooms and showers are clean and plentiful. The Staff is friendly and helpful, they have happy hour in the evening with beer and wine available, try their Pizza its great!
We have been going there for the last 7years. Never had anything but a great time. Ed and his crew are awesome. He was more than accommodating for our family reunion this weekend. We will definitely be going back next year.
We stayed here on Friday, July 26th. I am new to RV-ing, only been at it about a month. When I booked, the owner told me that it was pre-rally season, so the price was doubled. I didnt know any better, so figured, ok, that must just be the way it is. But then, when we pulled in, the park was virtually empty. We were pretty surprised, but thought it might fill up later, so got a cab (and oh, lord, thats a story in itself. Not sure if Sturgis doesnt have Uber or if they just dont come out this far, but if you dont pull a smaller vehicle, you either have to take your rig everywhere, stay put, or get in the worlds most decrepit cab -- the driver was super nice, but his rogue, automatic mini van door abruptly closed on my husbands arm so hard hes going to have a bruise for a month.) But I digress, we did get into Sturgis, very excited for pre-rally and there was nothing going on at all. Most of the businesses/restaurants werent even open, we were told they wont open until the rally starts next week. And the park never did get any new customers. Curious, I called a couple of other RV parks in the area, and they were charging regular rates. Not sure why this place is overcharging. Aside from that, the bathrooms and showers are unisex, which I have no issue with at restaurants or businesses, because you basically just go in an do your business and leave, but at an RV park, I do NOT like that. Women and men have vastly different needs/priorities when it comes to their toilettes and general hygiene. I actually wavered between 2 or 3 stars, but settled on 3 because it is quiet and pretty -- although much too far from town for me personally. I like to be able to Uber into town and enjoy myself then Uber home -- but thats not the fault of the owners/managers, thats a learning curve issue for me. I wouldnt stay again because of the restroom/shower set up, but Im posting this review to warn people that you need to ask around before agreeing to jacked up special event rates when there are no events.
Great RV Park! Very well manicured, spacious, clean, lovely beer garden bar, large laundry room....just so many amenities! Owner and work campers are all so nice! Will definitely go back, hopefully to spend a couple of weeks or more.
Very nice campground, here with a 40 ft dp, lots of room, sites are nice and level. There a pool, hottub shower house, vert nicely laid out
Place was immaculate in a beautiful location. Would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for your hospitality. We had trouble finding a place to stay and these folks were so accommodating. Thank you again.Jeff, Sue and Josh DeLuca
Great campground hosts and a nice place to park whether for one night or a few
Comfortable quiet stay
Great RV Park just off I-90 about a mile down the road so nice and quiet and picturesque. We saw phlox of wild turkeys everyday deer came and visited often highly recommend
Easy access to interstate 90 in Sturgis area. Clean cabin with air, refrigerator and microwave. Friendly staff, clean showers and bathrooms. Price is fair. Repeat customer. Lots of RV and tent camping availability.
We were 15 minutes away (because thats how we roll) coming in from Oklahoma and called to see if they had a spot for our 45 ft rig with tow. Amanda at the front was very helpful (& funny). If you can, go VP spot....hot tub was very relaxing!! Pet friendly with beautiful scenery. Ed (the owner) cares about his guests and was a pleasure to stay at Rush No More campgrounds. Cant wait to come visit again!!
Great! We stayed here off-season in late March. My wife is a firefighter and she was on-duty the day my kids (12 and 15) and I arrived. She was going to meet us the next day.The day we arrived, it was raining all day. Ed (the owner) called my cell to give me several indoor local attractions for me and the kids to enjoy. Classy move. The facilities (some were closed because of the off-season dates we were there) were all all clean, operational and welcoming. My wife was impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities and was perfectly comfortable using the shower and other facilities with our 12 year old daughter. In all, I think this is a great base to explore the area. I HIGHLY recommend and we WILL stay here again.5 Stars, all day long.
Best time ever...enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the RAIN. The owner and his employees could not have been better. The grounds are clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend their campground. We had a extra treat of music during the week. Everything was a short drive..Sturgis, Rushmore, Deadwood made wonderful day trips but when you came home you felt like you were camped in the woods. We drove 1200 miles with 3 teenagers and this was one if our best memories with our grandkids.
Beautiful area. Away from the interstate, no traffic noise. Great indoor/outdoor bar. Very nice, easy access pull thru and back in spaces. All other amenities the traveler or camper needs. Great home base for visiting the entire Black Hills area. I will return.
Super nice place close to Lead, Deadwood and Sturgis. Super quite off the I-90 full hook up with 50 amp and probably 20 cabins also. They have a neat little bar they open up most every night on site. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was the pool and hot tub are really small. Staff is really awesome.
Awesome campground
Going there the last 7 years and never had a bad stay. Ed and his staff run a top of the line campground. See ya next year.
Took this cabin because there wasnt anything thing available, any where around; and it was such a beautiful area, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and we will be back. Kids swam in the heated pool after long day site seeing, adults to the bar area they have right there within site of the pool. Very relaxing atmosphere right in the trees. Recommend highly!!!
The campground was quiet and clean and had good amenities. However, we came during the Sturgis Bike Rally and parking was limited. We made our reservation online and were not informed of the fact that were would be an extra charge for parking our truck. We also spoke to the office the morning or of our arrival to ask about parking and were not told of the charge. We had no trailer or other vehicle, just the one we drove up in. So we were very disappointed that we had to pay an extra charge just because ee didnt have only a bike. Probably wont stay here again or recommend it.
Very nice park & folks. Plenty of level sites, some all grass, some nice gravel with grass areas inbetween.I would recommend to my friends.
Beautiful camping, great surroundings, friendly staff.
This place was the best of south dakato it was a great drive to he land marks and not to far from any of them. it was above clean and the peace was every where. the folks that were the staff and owner were not so distant that i felt like a tourist, in fact the difference was there smiles. May God Bless and keep each one safe as they will travel for the winter. always laura
Full service campground with reasonable prices and extraordinarily helpful staff. You can tell they really want to make sure you have a great stay. Definitely recommend this little gem of a place.
Owner and staff really strive to take care of guests. Lots of stuff to do on site and nearby. Laundry and bath facilities were clean and neat. Loved the Wed. night jam session in the beer garden!
Not recommended except as a last option. This is a Campground. My cabin only had electricity. Not exactly up to hotel standards. I chose not to stay and got a fantastic room in Gillette WY at Motel 6 for half the cost of this campground cabin. I do not believe this place should be included on a Hotels website.
Great place
Perhaps I missed it in the details of the original listing, but I had not seen listed that the beds were to be without linen. By the time we discovered this fact just before arrival (we were phoned and told this fact just before arrival), it was too late to do much about it and we were only offered sheets at additional cost. We had sleeping bags and just chose to use them. The managers were otherwise friendly and the campground attractive. The very small cabin room did have a small air conditioner and fridge and was reasonably clean, but for the price listed we feel we could have been much more comfortable elsewhere or could have camped just as comfortably for less cost.
We stayed in our travel trailer for 2 nights here and we were sad to leave! Campgrounds had a very cozy and quaint feel to them. Very family friendly and the staff and owner are lovely! The bar was a big hit too!
Very pretty very neat and clean and nice people
Update 09 July 18: you are correct. I did fail to mention that. I thought it was irrelevant since that offer was for this summer and included blacked out dates for rallies and etc. I am not sure how that would help since I am not getting my rig back until late September. Anyways, I am not here to argue, just making an honest review and bringing your refund policy to the forefront so others are aware. Have a good day!08 July 18:Even though this campground expects you to pay in full 30 days prior to your reservation, they will offer no refund once you get within 30 days of your reservation. We had suffered severe hail damage ($15000) to our fifth wheel here Colorado Springs 3 weeks prior to our reservation which was over a holiday weekend (July 4th). Emailed them pics to show damage and explained our rig will be in the shop over the entire summer getting repaired. $530 for our reservation gone. Their reasoning for not returning our deposit was they are not insured for cancellations Yes, we understand your very clear refund policy. This has been the first time in our 10 years of RVing that we have ran into this issue. Lesson learned and that is we will pay very specific attention to refund policies.
I never wouldve thought to look for a place like this had it not come up on Expedia. However, Im really happy it did. The place seem like a great value and it was nicer than other low cost I never wouldve thought to look for a place like this had it not come up on Expedia. However, Im really happy it did. This is a great campground. It is in a great location, close to civilization, but back enough away from it that you can forget it is there. The staff was so friendly and helpful!!!
