My son just got married there on Friday and let me tell you, this place is top notch. The staff members were very attentive with all the details and they nailed it!!! I would like to give huge kudos to Debby!!! OMG she was awesome, a few times I was going to the bar to get a drink and she asked me what I wanted, she said shell go get it and bring it to our table so we could enjoy our meal. A Huge Thanks for making my sons wedding a Huge Hit & Success!!!!

We just booked with Michauds yesterday for our wedding. If youre on the fence about them just go in and see. The Westin is beautiful and just perfect for our small wedding. The cost alone cant be beat and Donna was amazing and kind.

THEY TOOK OUR MONEY!!!!! DONT USE!!!Staff was unbelievably rude when asking for any accommodations. The sample food we had was gross. When Covid struck most of our elderly family couldnt attend and we had to cancel. They refused to give us ANYTHING back out of the $3000 I paid EARLY. Never use this place if you want a happy wedding.

They told me I would get a refund if Covid got worse and had to cancel my wedding. My family from Germany still has a travel ban preventing them from coming. They stopped answering my calls. Im out $2500 that took me three years to save up abd i have nothing to show for it.Please see this warning and STAY AWAY

I attended a wedding reception a few weeks ago and it was really sad the poor quality food that we were served. The salad had stale crutons on it and the servers put as little food as possible on peoples plates, thankfully. The cabbage rolls we were served tasted like everything was canned, the chicken parm was like an encore meal from the microwave. The mashed potatoes were good but the server acted like he was paying for them when I asked him to put a little extra on my plate. In short the best thing we were served was a salad with stale croutons... The bar tenders were good. That was about it service wise.

My date and I had a wonderful time on New Years Eve here at Michauds. Donna did an excellent job throughout the night making sure our experience was pleasant. She is a classy lady. This was a memorable experience; hoping next New Years will be the same. The food was excellent too!This is a good place to have your event.

We had our wedding reception at Michauds on 6/21/19.From the start when we first visited, the team was welcoming and answered all of our questions.  Doris was our main contact and was fantastic - I cant express my thanks enough for how she treated us (especially at our final meeting when I was all but losing my mind over small things).  Each of my emails was answered promptly.Debbie, our banquet manager, was excellent as well.We met the day prior when decorating our room and she answered all of my questions and was very accommodating with requests (adding a chair to a reserved table, removing one reserved table, lighting any LED candles).  The day of, everything went smoothly - the head table was well taken care of and our guests were pleased.  Even at tear-down when someone thought they misplaced their car keys, Debbie made sure everyone stopped to check under tables and tablecloths for anything that may have been picked up.The tables were set up perfectly as requested and I was so thankful that Debbies team was able to turn on our centerpieces (about 15 tables with 3 LED candles and 1 string light a piece).  I also appreciate that we were able to bring in homemade pastries (I know my mom would have been upset if we werent allowed to).  Dinner was painless, guests got up for seconds and enjoyed their meals.We loved the Holiday room - easy access to the lovely courtyard was fantastic (especially for tear-down!!) and while we didnt have competing events that evening, I liked that it was all the way at the end of the hallway for a little extra privacy.They fulfilled their mission statement with us - I felt that we had exceptional service at a great price that stayed within our budget, the entire process was easy, and our evening was perfect.

Just got home from New Years Eve bash and had a great time! Both comedians and all the bands we heard were excellent. Facilities clean, and buffet good - on par with high quality wedding reception buffet good. Looking forward to going back again next year!

My parents were married in The Philippines 50 years ago. We (my sisters & brother) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in The Grand Ballroom at Michauds with just under 300 guests on Saturday October 26, 2019. Christine Cicco & Doris Cooke were our event coordinators. Doris & Christine had answers for every question we had. They went over ever option available, made recommendations, and even told us when something seemed unnecessary. They were a joy to work with. Very professional and friendly. They realized this was not just another party. (How many 50th wedding anniversaries have you been too?) We chose Buffet DElegance with two entrees & 3 sides, served salads at the tables, head table served family style, ivory linens, gold napkins, podium, table numbers, roomwide champagne toast bottles opened and placed at tables, cut & plate entire cake, and 6 pub tables with linen. The Grand Ballroom was not booked on Friday, so we were allowed to set up our decorations, the dj equipment, and our alcohol the day before. This was a huge stress relief. We didnt have to worry about any of the setup the day of the event. The hall was spectacular. My parents were overwhelmed at how everything looked, the layout, and the decorations. Debbie Smith was our banquet manager. The opening ceremony ran long because the preacher wouldnt stop talking (not Michauds fault). Debbie coordinated with me, so the rest of the nights events ran smoothly. After the opening ceremony was finally finished, Debbie and the rest of her crew hustled to get the bread and salads out to the hungry guests as quickly as possible. She saw me constantly running around to the videographer, photographers, etc. and expressed concern that I should grab something to eat. How thoughtful. She hunted me down numerous times throughout the night to verify everything was running smoothly and to ask how I was doing. The food was great. We got tender sliced top round in demi-glace with horseradish, breaded boneless parmesan crusted chicken breast with zesty lemon piccata sauce on the side. The accompaniments were fluffy mashed potatoes, penne marinara, and seasoned green beans. Fresh baked assorted cookies and gourmet assorted pastries were available after dinner. The bartenders kept the drinks flowing. There was never a long line of people waiting at the bar. After our first round of shots, the bartenders always had shots ready for us. The bathrooms were clean. I got no complaints from anyone about anything. Almost every guest complimented us for how everything looked & the top notch choice of venue. The Michauds staff helped me give my parents the 50th wedding anniversary they deserved. I cannot thank them enough. My sister actually said to me, I should get divorced just so I can get remarried and have my reception here.

The staff was friendly. The food was good. The birthday party was very nice. A good time was had by all.

Great place for an anniversary wedding or party

This is an old building and there are multiple flights of stairs up and down, not great for a wedding with older guests in attendance. The staff was not particularly helpful, and really rushed the meal service. The food was reheated off the Sysco truck. The pasta was bland, and the sauce for the chicken was so lemon flavored that people couldnt eat it. There have to be better options if you are looking.

My buddy had his wedding at Michauds. The venue itself was nice but the fact that youre required to use their catering ruins the entire deal. The food is AWFUL. Honestly, its the worst food Ive ever had at any event ever. How hard is it to have decent pizza? If youre fine with bad food, its a fun place.

Perfection! EVERYONE at Michaud’s helped make my daughters wedding reception absolutely perfect! The food was fabulous and we received sooooo many compliments from our guests. The banquet manager assigned to our party was top notch and the manager Debbie that helped us the day before the reception was a Godsend. Our bartenders were super friendly and efficient. I cannot say enough good things about Michauds- we will definitely have our next daughters wedding reception there.

The staff here are nice, helpful, and very professional. I have absolutely no complaints about this place at all. I would most definitely recommend Michauds to any future newlyweds! You wont be disappointed.

Our wedding was on 9/1/2019. We can’t thank Michauds enough for all of their help throughout the wedding planning process! Any questions that I had were always met with an answer within the same day. The chef even called me after we made our menu selections to clarify items that we chose to make sure my husband (who has a gluten and dairy allergy) had enough selections to eat. That alone made us feel like the staff at Michauds truly cares. The day of our wedding, the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful! Our ceremony and reception went smooth and we have to give a big thanks to the staff for that. Thank you for everything; for being so helpful, kind and great to work with!!

We had a wedding reception of Feb.08 2020 at Michauds. What an excellent experience from start to finish. The staff was phenomenal. Debbie, the banquet manager was on top of everything! We wanted for nothing! Joyce, Steve, Rina and Kyleigh were outstanding while taking care of every single guest. The most awesome bartenders anyone could ask for were on staff to keep the lines flowing smoothly and they were very attentive to all of our needs! Way to go Alan and Jim! Thank you to Michauds for a great evening and for providing second to none service! If you are looking for a superior facility with a dedicated staff, Michauds is your place! Thank you to all of you for making our daughters wedding reception so wonderful!

Excellent place for events. We were there for a wedding reception and the attendants were super friendly and we never ran out of drinks. There were 5 different receptions there and none of them overlapped into another. Highly suggest this place for your event

Best New Years Eve Party ever...

If I could give a negative rating I would. I am getting married and I came in (scheduled appointment) to look at the venue. I have a very large party and wanted to make sure I found a place with plenty of room to accommodate my guests. Amongst walking in I did not get greeted I walked into the open office on the left and let the ladies know I had an appointment for 1pm. An older lady walked in and asked for my name and proceeded to tell me my appointment was at 9am which I knew was input wrong because I worked at that time and wouldn’t have scheduled that early. She never apologized for getting the time wrong and also never suggested rescheduling. Thankfully I went over to Belarus in strongsville where the staff was AMAZING and I am very excited to be having my wedding there it also looks way nicer and doesn’t have a weird old people smell like michauds.

Attended a prom Do-Over here and expected more than what I was given. One of the bar tenders didnt even put alcohol in my drinking! Who does that?! The food was okay, with some options tasting better than others. I did not appreciate the rude server at the buffet line yelling at me and other people and bossing us around. Overall, the place is very clean and big and nice, just not as fancy as I expected because of all the hype.

Had a great NYE experience. Loved the various bands and comedians. Such fun crowds of all ages. Great service and bar tenders - even for a BYOB party. They had bottle openers, cups and mixers on hand. Fun photo booth.

The staff is always great, and the food is decent. They have lots of room, it is always spotless, and the outdoor area is good for photos, and catching your breath.

The food was absolutely horrible. You can tell the vegetables were frozen and the meat we had was barely edible it was so salty. I left there hungry and so did most people I came with. The only good thing about this place is the hall is large and has a good ballroom.

Perfect place for a wedding!! Food and staff were great! They made the whole wedding process very easy. And bringing your own alcohol saved us thousands, and we got to keep the left overs!

Restrooms were downstairs but that was the only imperfection. The food was great and the staff was extremely helpful and nice!

Place sucked. Came here for a wedding and was not pleased. The only thing that was good about the wedding we went to was the DJ (hired from outside). The venue clearly hadnt been updated since at least the 90s, the buffet that was catered by the place consisted of 2 meat options, a veggie, and mashed potatoes. All tasted TERRIBLE. The mashed potatoes were clearly not real and the veggies had to of come from a can. Do yourself a favor and never book an event here.

Michauds has a great staff, always friendly and helpful. As a wedding photpgrapher I have been to the venue for weddings and their yearly bridal show and have had great experiences each time.

At every party there are two kinds of people: those who want to go home and those who don’t . The trouble is they are usually married to each other:)) Tremendous people here!!!

The pricing was decent and the food was just OK. As the Bride and first table to eat, I was surprised that my food was hardly warm. But the venue is decent. Not the best, certainly not the worst.

Ok I heard good things about this place, but recently i went to a wedding and the food was terrible. I think they forgot what salt was. I mean i would understand if it was one dish without salt, but all?! No thank you.

Okay so my brothers wedding was yesterday 9/2018. Where do i start I gave them a 1 star for Courtyard Area which was nice and the bathrooms were clean. Service :They gave 2 people to attend to a party of 85. Well 3 if u include the bartender.Anyway MOST IMPORTANT FOOD: I GIVE THEM A 1 ON A SCALE OF 1 TO 10.THE BEST THING WAS THE CORN.MASH POTATOES I GIVE THEM A 1 .BEEF TIPS HORRIBLE MORE MUSHROOM IN EVERY1 PLATE THAN BEEF TIPS .IT TASTED LIKE BEEF TIPS OUT OF A CAN . ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE DOG FOOD. BREADED CHICKEN COLD AND FRIED DRY. AND LET ME SAY I AM 1 OF THE LEAST PICKIEST EATERS EVER. SO ON THIS NOTE I WOULD SUGGEST U THINK LONG AND HARD ON YOUR $$BEING SPENT. DO U WANT A PLACE WITH GOOD FOOD FOR UR GUEST TO SAY DAMN THAT WAS AMAZING OR GREAT FOOD OR DO U WANT SOME1 SAYING WELL THE PARTY WAS A HIT MINUS THE FOOD MIND U I HAD TO MAKE A RUN TO TACO BELL AFTER THE RECEPTION ENEDED BEING HUNGRY..I KNOW MY BROTHER WORKED HARD FOR HIS WEDDING TO PAY FOR IT AND TO THROW HIS MONEY AWAY LIKE IT WAS ITS UPSETTING. OHHHH :AND THE CAKE OH THE CAKE .APPARENTLY THE WAITER WHO SERVED US DIDNT KNOW HOW TO CUT A CAKE AND THEY PUT THE LEFT OVER CAKE IN NAPKINS LITERALLY LIKE IN NAPKINS.IVE NEVER SEEN LEFT OVER CAKE ROLLED UP IN NAPKINS AND JUST LEFT THERE THE TABLE AS IF A 2 YEAR OLD LEFT THERE. WITH THAT BEING SAID.PLEASE PLEASE DO UR RESEARCH .MY SUGGESTION: 1/10. You make ur call. Dont say u didnt read my review Cause u have been FOREWARNED!!!!

Needs to be updated. Everything looks like it is stuck in late 80s or early 90s.

Do not book an event here unless you are 100% certain you are having it. They will keep your ridiculously predatory deposit of 50% of the entire balance and will never re-book your room.Its pure profit for them, no food costs, no employee cost. You basically lose the money as soon as you sign it over. Im looking into legal action right now, its predatory by its very nature and from what my attorney said, it violates Ohio contract law since no material service was actually provided.They have civil suits going back to 1975, avoid these people at all costs.
