Shine wellness is amazing in the velvet mill. I love the whole feel of the mill itself too. If you want a good massage you will certainly get it with Jeri at shine A+. It never fails to relax me and I wouldnt go anywhere else!

This place is an indoor open space that will be great to go to in winter when it will be too cold to stay outside. Farmers market on Saturdays and so many cool shops.

I want to like this place. I love the idea of repurposing an abandoned mill to a creative space but this place seems to suffer from too much space. Ive only been here in the winter which is off season for this seaside town. I will revisit in the summer.

Saturday farmer market is great. We had some tasty treats at Zest. Im gonna go back for more!

Historic mill, huge in size, with interesting and unusual shops and a large restaurant.

Beautiful collection of stores, studios, and art galleries in a repurposed velvet mill.

My first visit will not be my last. This very unique Mall is the most pleasant experience I can recommend for a non descript shopping trip. Wonderful people, walking there pets, just strolling through the shops that only exist here. A must must stop when you are in the area. This place has a special place in my heart now, as this is where my final love began.

Lots of small businesses and very cool layout

When we were there, it was still under construction... a great deal of potential, but still a lot of unused space. The stores that *were* open were very artsy, and the proprietors were all very welcoming. A nice place to explore.

Its an interesting place to visit. I think I would have enjoyed it more on a weekend, as when we visited most of the vendors were closed. I would certainly recommend wandering around here though if you have the opportunity.

Hard to think of a store that they don’t have at this mall. You could spend hours here. Plenty of security. Something for everyone. Great parking options.

Went for Holiday Stroll in Dec 2019. Nice festive atmosphere. Lots of interesting arts and crafts vendors. Limited food options but very good pizza at Woodfellas. Whitecrest Eatery looks interesting but didnt get a chance to try it.

Always a fun place year round. Summer means the loss of the Farmers Market to downtown.. a vast array of shops to investigate from the Spirit Wind art gallery on the second floor where a variety of classes are held around the art Arena, 2 shops like the art print Studio across from beerd Brewery on the main level a most decadent pastry shop.. and the list goes on.. just when you think youre done heres another level and more Galleries and shops to investigate! A fun way to spend the day!

Old but full of life, tons of shops and places to eat and a cozy indoor setting.

Lots to do. Some great eating places and Brew pub cheek to jowel with curated tag sales of junk. But all fun.

So far Ive only been here to have pizza from Wood-Fired and beer at the local brewery house in this location both experiences were very good I enjoy the environments the decor in the people that are here I expect you upgrade this to a higher rating after I get a chance to experience more of the venue. this is a very large building that used to be a manufacturing facility has now been converted into small shops it looks like it could be an all-day opportunity on a weekend when Im in the area

What a great shopping experience. I sampled several high quality products that are only available from Connecticuts finest farmers and artisians. This is a one of a kind shopping experience. Doggies roamed the market on leashes visiting with everyone. The atmosphere was very festive. I would highly recommend for holiday table and unique gift opportunities.

Great to have a farmers market that can go all year due to being inside. Lots of farmers fresh items, cheeses, etc. Mill also has lots of boutiques with artists, clothing, unique wares and a great brewery.

What a gem tucked in this mill. Great selection of unique shops and places to eat drink and be merry.

A very large number of shops and vendors. Some are permanent studios, and on Saturday and Sunday the weekend vendors are there. A mix of pretty high end quality stuff, to more rustic handmades. Everything from antiques to jewelry. Good variety of food also, to eat there or bring home. Lots of rustic New England decor type thing also.

I went here on a Sunday so not many shops were open but this is a very cool space with a lot of potential. Would love to see what opens up in the next few years. Bakers, antiques, bicycles, art and gift shops can he found here.

This was one of the most bizarre repurposed spaces Ive ever been to. First of all it is a very large mill building which is right next to a ton of quiet quaint neighborhoods. Second once you go inside it is a huge space divided up into a bunch of really seemingly random businesses (restaraunts, a brewery, shops of all kinds) plus plenty of open floor space. Just a really cool usage of an old building. We went a bit late so most shops were closed, but we went to Beerd Brewing and wandered a bit also. Definitely worth checking out.

This is an old Mill building in Stonington that has been repurposed as a home to a small craft brewery and numerous small craft and specialty shops. There is a large central area that can be used for community events and is used for a Saturday farmers market during the winter months. That event hosts farmers with vegetables, dairy, and meat products, whole grain breads, gluten-free foodstuffs, and pet treats. There are also sellers of clothes, antique items, and art, all to the sounds of country music by local musicians. Its interesting and fun

There are very few places like this anywhere else in the world. One of the gems of Mystic and Stoningon. It is hangout for locals, and a must for any tourist. Artist lofts, Beard brewery, Wood fired Pizza, a Bakery, eclectic antiques, and crafts.

Great repurposed old building. Connecticut should turn all the old mills into cool public places like this.

Stopped in on my way out of town. Great staff who know a ton. There is a lot of good information to digest.

Great place. Great food. Great people. Lots of interesting and unique things... Products, food, cookies and pastries. Best Indian cuisine ever. The other vendors and farmers market stuff is awesome but the food... The food is awesome! Well with the trip. And the pastry shop... Excellent!

Would give it 5 stars if there were more clean restrooms. Love the variety of vendors and atmosphere. Very creative folks gather here on Saturdays for a market.

The Velvet Mill is the coolest place to walk around on a sunny or rainy day. There are local artists, small businesses, cheese maker, bakery, beer and food spots on location. Also the cutest herbalist who makes her own tea, serves them for free with cookies on Saturdays and Sundays during the Stonington Winter Farmers Market from October to May... A great place to visit for the day!

Vegan OPTIONS! Love the gourmet popcorn (coconut oil) and snowcones now at StevieTs. Also love their amazing handmade cruelty free soaps. Sea salt orchid Argan oil soap is my fave, no need for lotion yet this winter and no slippery shower afterward--i am addicted. Revival has genuine farmhouse decor handpicked from Amish country! And of course, theres Beerd Brewery which is awesome. Farmers market is back too on the weekends. Will list more next time I go back.
