I like this place, it looks fashion and cozy. The seats were comfortable, staffs were friendly.I‘ll enjoy to come again.
Greatly place to see a show! This was the first time I had ever been to the Bob Hope Theater in Stockton and if I have the chance, It wont be the last!We saw The House Of Floyd. It was a great show.I loved the look and the ambience of the theater as well as size and intimacy of the venue. It was perfect for a show of this typeEveryone from security to the ushers were very cordial and helpful.Id definitely go back to that venue to see more shows!
Ive been here before, and if you think down town Stockton is scary. I beg the differ. Actually very safe!, the venues are fantastic! Just saw a Charlie brown Christmas . Fantastic! Take the time to see the performing arts! Go to Bob hope theater! Safe, even dressed as a gentleman.
Watched Jo Koy here since we missed his San Jose show. The interior of the theatre is beautiful. I liked how there are some displays that show the history about the building. The staff are all friendly, drinks and snacks at the bar are pricey as expected and everything was clean inside the place. The show was sold out and we were only able to get balcony seating. Even at our balcony seats, we were still able to see Jo Koy. I just wish that there were outdoor shops and restaurants opened and walking distance from the theatre where people can hang out or eat before or after the show.
We went to the Cirque Dreams Holidaze which was fabulous! Seats were comfortable but the rows were very close together (think airplane) but not too bad. We on ground floor under balcony. They sold cocktails, coffee & snacks...all deliciously pricey. Looking forward to next time maybe in seats closer to stage.
I came to see Joe Bonamassa play here on in November of 2018. I sat in the balcony, slightly to the side. The balcony provided an excellent view of the stage, as you can see from the photos. Only one small corner of the stage was blocked from the speaker stack hanging from the ceiling. The sound here was incredible, loud and crisp. And the lighting was amazing. The seating was adequate, but I did start getting a little sore near the end of the show. Although it was sold out the crowd wasnt too difficult to navigate getting in and out. I would definitely see another concert there. I especially recommend seeing Joe Bonamassa when he comes to town again!
Great place, but some areas were dirty
Beautiful theater, staff was very friendly. Security took their job very seriously (almost over doing it).Area is kinda sketchy and wife didn’t feel comfortable when we were leaving the event. Lots of homeless in the area some even had tents set up right outside the theater on the way to the parking area.Event ran later than expected and by the time we were walking out to our truck, the entire “security” and parking staff was gone.
Great to have a venue like this in our community. Support it, so we can attract the best shows!
The Charlie Brown show was very well done. Be warm food and drinks very over priced. In my opinion higher then a movie theater. At least at movie theater you get a free refill on a large popcorn. Also doors didnt open at time it had posted online. We had to stand outside in cold for over 1/2 an hour.
Beautiful building and atmosphere. Great sound quality but harder on the old folks to get upstairs. Great Danny Gokey and Natalie Grant concerts
Joe Koy put on an awesome show here. They need to set up a better snack and drink system though. They take too long and its so chaotic.
Easy access to parking, old theater that is very clean and the acoustics really nice. Not a bad seat in the house
Nice comfortable seats. Great detail on the walls. Plus saw Travis Tritt. Great voice
We have now gone to three different concerts/performances here at the Bob Hope Theatre. Even though you hear so much bad about how Stockton is and how you should avoid it, I ha e never had any issues regardless of the place or time. As my wife and I were discussing, especially this area and most other places are less questionable/sketchy than most in Modesto even. The venue is easy to find and get parking at and I would highly recommend you attend pretty much any event here!
If youve never been, you must go. Not only is it a city treasure but the place is beautiful. You honestly forget that your in Downtown Stockton. I can say that living across the street from it for many years. It is definitely a bright spot. Next to the new Court House and improved Waterfront, the Fox (Bob Hope) theater should stay in that great condition that its in right now. A lot of shows and all different music are always playing. American Idol did a round from there. Great place!
We had fun. The view was great, but the bottleneck happened when we left. The theatre over all is quaint and there are food places around.
Went to see Home Free. The Bob Hope Theater has nice seats, and is a historic place with a lot of unique features. Loved walking around and seeing all the old architecture. They have a wall, mini Museum, whatever you want to call it, dedicated to the beginnings of the Bob Hope Theater with some interesting stories on it. There didnt seem to be a bad seat in the house. It looked like they had a lot of interesting events coming up.
Great old theater.Small enough to never had a bad seat.
I had forgotten how beautiful the theater is, and not a bad seat in the house!
Very nice theater inside. Crew working the event when Jo Koy performed was very nice and helpful. I’m sure I will visit location again soon.
Took my daughter to see her favorite, Peppa Pig... must say this venue is actually quite lovely as this was my first time there. Absolutely enjoyed.
Took the family to take an old favorite, Beetlejuice and all had a great time. The movie was not as good as I remembered it as a kid but the old time theatre experience at such a classic structure was worth the money we spent on the movie. Beautiful architecture and kind and knowledgeable hosts made it a lot of fun. My wife and I plan to go back for Casa Blanca and then Indiana Jones.
Absolutely loved the facility, such history!! Its definitely a treasure to the community, and the region. The acoustics were great, the seating very comfortable. They have a great variety of shows here, and prices are definitely reasonable. I highly recommend attending a show here!
Great venue..saw Travis Tritt acoustic and it was awsome venue for it
Awesome historical venue, and saw killer rock show in Switchfoot, the Christian Band...The FantasticTraveling Music Show told stories and played crowd favorites.
It was a fabulous show and was entertaining until the end. People were nice.
Sound system and seat location were decent. The venues seats were not very comfortable. Jo Koy is hilarious! Bring him back please!!
Classy and intimate. Not a bad seat in the house. The only fault they have is their drinks are extremely over priced...but there are other places to get drinks nearby.
Love this venue!! Easy to get in and out of and pretty good parking nearby. Intimate place for good concerts. Ive seen The Newsboys, Crowder, Matthew West and Tenth Avenue North there. Recommend balcony seating. Will mos def go back!
Took in a Christmas concert with Dave Koz and Jonathan Butler...A M A Z I N G!!!! What a beautiful theatre, acoustics simply awesome.
Jo kiy concert was amazing. The venue was very cozy and felt personal
Great show by Travis Tritt last night
Its so wonderful this Theatre exists in Stockton. Its one of those old classic historic theaters that kind of make you feel like you stepped back in time. Lots of symbolic decor, plush velvet, dramatic lighting - all that good stuff. Ill be watching my first show here soon; Im sure the sound will be awesome. All the big stars came through here back in the day - cant wait for Downtown Stockton to be poppin again because even bigger celebrities will perform and that would be amazing for everyone.
Really nice show. There is always some A hole that thinks its ok to stand and block peoples view. Didnt pay to look at the back of his head all night. Spoke with said A hole and he sat down after some heated words. Other than that. Had a great time with my family.
Great theater! Friends of the Fox put on regular monthly movie classics to draw in people to keep the theater going. Also, there are some big name celebrity shows that are booked there as well. Wish I had known ahead of time... I would have 3 shows already with tickets if I had ;-]
After the renovation the putter part looks very classy, but the interior looks great the int decorator really got inspired in barroco style with some modern touch I think is great
Its a very historical beautiful theater. Where they have concert. Great Mexican restaurant to eat before going to your concert. No elevator so if you cant climb steps get bottom row seats. They do have snacks they sell
Loved the jo koy show that they had! Venue was beautiful and had great service!
Great theatre. Beautiful renovations. Problem with the alarm system whilst we were there. The fire alarm went off twice.
This place has fantaxtic architecture its an old theater Im sure its great for a lot of performances but not for a million-dollar light show band we went to see Brit Floyd play there with a laser light show it cost a million dollars but it ended up looking like a Kmart Blue Light Special not enough room for lasers
Upper level acoustics and speaker placement were terrible. Theater is beautiful though.
Beautiful Venue but really need Handicapp Access, like an Elevator for Instance.
What an amazing venue. We loved our first visit, we saw Brothers Osborne. Cant wait to see future shows here at this central valley treasure!
Great old theater with a real cozy atmosphere.parking can be a nightmare though
Surprisingly nice venue. Seats were comfy, but not very much leg room where I was seated. Good thing Im a small in stature person.
Clean and great ticket price. Had a good time.
Love this historic building. So beautiful and spacious. Good acoustics for concerts and other events
Good place. Small but very well design for its time. Drive carefully while parking around the block. Nearby police station if you are drinking and walking ;) you will get in trouble.
Beautiful Theatre with wonderful acoustics all the way through the back rows.
One of my favorite venues for seeing great performers in an intimate setting. A gem in San Joaquin County.
Great time meeting Joe Bonnamasa and then seeing the concert! The acoustics were very good no Matter where you were. Plenty of leg room. Will go again as it is a nice venue!
Really cool old theatre in Stockton. I saw a concert here and it was awesome. Good show and good place to watch a show.
Majestic and Amazing inside
Great staff at the Bob Hope Theater. My wife and I really enjoyed the Elvis show on 5/5/18. I used a walker when entering the theater. I had a very difficult time and was unable to walk beyond the entry door. I asked for help and the manager Kelly came over. I asked if they had a wheelchair available. He left and came back with one. He wheeled me to my seat. Made sure that the staff was available if I needed to be escorted to the bathroom. He had someone actually take me to my car at the end of the show. The gentleman who wheeled me out, even asked if my wife and I wanted to stop to see Elvis who was making himself available to his fans. We love this place and were were treated so well. Many thanks to Kelley and his great crew!!
The layout and vintage feel of the venue with all the artwork and carving craftsmanship on the pillars and throughout
Really Fun Venue, beautiful historical building!
Serviceable theater, but quite old and shows it. Dressing rooms (I performed there) need cleaning and a paint job.
Such a beautiful theatre for a Christmas performance.
A great venue for any event!
Its a beautiful venue! Ive been there several times since I was a kid and loved it each time.
Staff is super friendly
Beautiful venue, comfortable seats & terrific Johnny Mathis concert.
It is a clean and nice place to go and watch on stage. The temperature was right for the amount of people. The employess were very nice and helpful.
The Bob Hope Theatre is one of my favorite venues for live events. It’s a beautiful theatre with stunning interior and exterior decor. The building is very well kept and the staff is friendly and attentive. There’s no bad seat in the theatre and the sound system is pretty good. I highly recommend The Bob Hope Theatre, check it out!
Third time seeing a show here, and as always, it was wonderful!
Got to see a wonderful show! Parking wasnt that far away.
One of the nicest venues...Rocked out to Joe Bonamassa. Cant wait to go back
Had a great time with the classic, Johnny Mathis!
Beautiful interior, great sound, comfortable seats. Really enjoyed the concert I attended here, and will come back again.
This is a beautiful historic theater. A great place to see a live concert. It holds about 2,000 people and not a bad seat in the house.
Worked Jo Koy Show. Bob Hope is so iconic.
One of the last great old movie houses. Painstakingly restored and preserved. Kudos to the Friends of the Fox Theater.
Parking close by. Great show, friendly staff.
Great seating an they are comfortable.
Very beautiful place just was there the other day for a beautiful DCA graduationwould love to visit there again soon
The building is amazing, no matter why you go there, take a moment to just look around. They do not make them like this anymore!
The sounds is to for for and Tom Jones was so grrrreat
Always love the small venue
What a beautiful place..It was like I was back in the 1930s..
Excellent. Friends of the Fox done an excellent job...friendly faces marking you welcome.
Went to see Ron White here last night. The venue is nice enough, but several in the crowd were drunk and obnoxious. Upon asking security to do something about the inebriated hecklers, it became apparent that they were ill equipped to do much more than show patrons to their seats. Staff was friendly, but completely useless in providing an inviting environment. I wont be returning.
Mouth dropping theatre. Lots of craftsmanship. Great detail. Velvet sits :)
