Ive been to many childrens museums in California - from Sam Francisco to San Diego. This one is one of the largest and most interesting. Many, many exhibits for children to explore. The only thing they can improve on is the arts area - although they have some craft mediums, they can add more variety of recycled materials. But overall, this is an excellent museum.
What a nice place to take children come here, they enjoyed it, spent a good time here.Thank you!
Fun for my toddler lots to explore in a couple of hours. Older kids might have fun too but might not be enough to keep them busy. Fun outing for the price. Some equipment is heavily worn but it was neat to have all the real trucks and motorcycle that you could actually interact with.
Super cool place for kids, prices are very reasonable too
Great place, kids really enjoyed it but also very pricey.
Lots of fun things to do. I went with kindergartners and they had fun. Another time I took my one year old and he enjoyed it. I recommend this museum since its the only kid museum in the area..
My 3 year old niece loved this place. Clean with many different activities to see and do.
Went here with my kids it,even though theyre a bit old it was still enjoyable
Absolutely love this place. Great for the family. I know I went here as a little girl but dont remember. Im glad my kids got to enjoy. A few things were down at the time but I hope they get fixed next time we go. Seems very interesting to try out. Love the details of everything and all the role playing the kids can do together, by themselves, or with other kids. I wonder if I can donate stuff to help there. Its pretty cheap too only $6
Our children really enjoyed it! No lines and kids could just explore and be kids.
We took our 4 y/o here not knowing what to expect. But its a cute place for kids and grown-ups. Everything is practically hands-on which makes it more enjoyable and realistic for the children. I highly recommend this place for families with children aged 4 and up!! We had fun!
We visited this place and it wasnt quite what we expected. The kids enjoyed the vehicles and the helicopter but unfortunately most of the attractions were out of order, with pieces missing, and not quite clean. The area was very run down, dusty, and the shop was closed. The price was fine but we are visiting and the reviews were nearly 5 stars so you would have expected more. It would have wonderful if the facility was kept up, clean, and just taken care of. Maybe its the lack of business. The concept is great and it has a lot of potential.
We have been here several times. My grandson loves coming here. He never gets bored here. Waiting to take my 3 year old. He will really enjoy the experience.
Perfect rainy day adventure for the kids. Lots of hands-on fun from the fire truck to the old transit bus to the grocery store, bank and post office. Entirely interactive. Can easily spend a few hours having fun here.
My daughter had fun but I didnt really grab her attention like I wanted it too she only played at each station for about 5 minutes each than got bored other than that she like it but she need more excitement to the place it was kind of glommy and spooky
The kids loved it they had lots of different vignettes for them to play in and experience
The flooring and some.exhibts are in need of updating. The music was a bit outdated as well. We did enjoy it, however hope to see some upgrades next time we go.
Pretty much everything was broken and missing pieces. Kids were not so thrilled with the experience.
Ive taken my grandkids to the Childrens Museum in Stockton on a number of occasions. They absolutely love it there. There truly is so much to see and experience, including the fire truck, police vehicle, ambulance, playhouse. slide, market, vets office just to name a few. Its a great experience for younger children.
It was good for the price. Took my 3/7 yr old. I think it could be updated, and maybe open the few attractions this would really be awesome lol! This is great for young children. $6 pp well spent
Enjoyed it when I was a kid. Now my kids are enjoying it. A museum...where children can touch things! Unbelievable? Believe it!
Cool spot for the kiddos for sure and not real expensive either. Great interactive fun with exhibits that change often. Good place for them to run out some energy. I just wish they didnt charge the adults for admission too. After all...Its not for us. Or maybe half the price?
My granddaughter love this place!!Could use more donations if anyone is interested to keep this place hopping irs a great learning place for kids
Dont know anything of this place except for the fact that there is a pokemon gym in thier parking lot. Gotta catchem all
Great, inexpensive ( $5 per) place to come with younger kids (6 and under imo). Lots of hands on activities, old fire truck/ ambulance/bus to play on. The little grocery store is a favorite. Outdoor area for eating lunch, also with a playground. I have been here 7 times now on various field trips and it never disappoints.
This place is a blast for small kiddos. They have a ton of things to do. Pretend play is available for just about every occupation. Store clerk, farming, post office, emergency services. My daughter and her classmates had a blast. This place is good for about 2 hours of play. I reccomend coming here for the younger crowds of kiddos. They even have a small toddler play area.
Went for kids field trip. Great place but was sad so many of the things in it were not working for the kids to play with.
Okay parents looking for a cheap fun place to take the kids then this is the place to go 6$ entry fee but after that you can stay till it closes and trust me you will want to in this museum there are so many things to do but better yet so much rich history to learn from and the staff are all so nice and friendly
I helped paint an office, from what I could see to their is a lot of fun educational stuff for the kids to learn about, I especially liked the turtles, and staff keeps the place very clean, definitely fun for the whole family.
Good layout but could use some maintanance and more activkties with sound and color
Great place to take the kids. Wish it was better funded.
Great place for children to learn while they have some fun
Came here 4 weeks ago! Very nice place! Lots of activities for kids to do! Very inexpensive and they have a craft room to do crafts! Im not from here, I was just visiting. If I came out again I would come back! My daughter had a blast!
Its ok they need to take better care of the place, update more, place always looks thrashed
I love this place and so does my two year old son! This is truly a place for kids to run, play, and learn. Its especially cool that it teaches our kids about where they live and how to keep it beautiful.
A little disappointed in the place looked run down dirty and adults were charged and literally there was nothing for adults to do. It took an hour and we were done. Ive been to the one in sj and boy whatcha difference...
My son loves to go every month
Its an educational play area that has a bit of everything (local sponsors)... helps parents get involved with the little ones... ;)
Was very fun kids had a great time
My boys had a PHENOMENAL time. Theyve added on and the updates are more hands on. My sons are 2 and 4 and they really enjoyed playing on this foggy rainy day. $6.00 well spent
Cute place for a quick little getaway. They could probably use more funding to upgrade their exhibits
This museum is great. My kids loved it. The magic was infectious. Nearly all the parents were also playing with their kids and having a great time. There are some attractions that need attention but overall our experience was very positive. Having said that, I do not think kids 12+ will enjoy this museum. The attractions might be too childish for them.
Obviously, this place was set up to be a great place for kids. Very hands on for younger kids and experiences that they can touch and see. It is extremely outdated and needs fixing and pieces for almost every display. Really needs a make over. Sad.
Spent the morning here with my 1 and 3 year old. Overall the morning was fun and we will probably be back in the future.Pros: the kids could play with EVERYTHING. My daughter (13 months) likes to get into everything so having a place with nothing off limits was wonderful. My son (3) loved all the old vehicles (police car, fire engine, helicopter) and climbing in them was a lot of fun. The museum also had a good mix of stuff (animals, water, baby area, building area, legos) and kept the kids busy for a solid 2 hours.Cons: several of the exhibits were broken or didnt work (shadow room) and this was disappointing to the kids. Also the entire place is in need of a refresh. Items just look old and worn and need to be updated.Overall worth the $6 we paid and a fun morning.
What a gem! A great place for enrichment activities and fun for kids.
Great place to let kids be kids.
Wonderful place for tje kids, they had a blast.
We visiting family in Oakley. This looked closer. Very nice.
So fun! And experiential!! Would definitely go back again and again!
Very fun inexpensive place to bring kids. Adults and kids $6 2 and under are free. Suggest to go when it opens, you will be there for a while. They provide a open cubby. Although I love this place, a lot of things are out of order.
Liked this place. Wish all the exhibits were up and running. Fun for the kids.
Super fun and cute for smaller kids! My 4 and 1 year old had lots of fun.
Wow! For $6 admission, this place is magical! My kids were fascinated with each station. When you walk in there are two entry points to the kids village that includes a grocery store, play house, farm, news room, an giant talking eye, and emergency response vehicles! - yes real fire trucks and busses too!I was nervous at first and hovered around my kids but after going so often I have gotten so comfortable with letting my venture a little more than usual. There is only one entrance, the secind one is alarmed with a fire bell. I even left my cell phone on the slide and nobody stole it.Bring snacks and water there us a small eating section at the entrance. I spend about 2 hours each tine I go, and there is always something I havent seen yet. Very interactive kids village set up to educate kids so many levels.
Best childrens museum in northern California. Weve traveled all over this is the best. My grandchildren love it here. Ages 1,5,7 they love it here. Hours of play time. Friendly staff
My 4.5 yr old grandson had a blast. Most of the learning portions of the exhibit were broken or under repair. All the interactive climb on me attractions were working, so he still had a great time. The price was great for him to romp around and not get bored for hours. Wish he learned something from the experience, but other than th hat it was fun family time
This place is getting better but it does need improvements here and there.
Place not clean at all! Outdated equipment and old toys!! You don’t see any staff member around the facility explaining or interacting with kids!!!
Wow! An amazing place to take your children in Stockton and fun for all adults too! Very affordable and love the interactive and educational activities! The Art Studio is a blast! The Food 4 Less center and Newsroom are my little ones favorites! New displays and activities were just added! Highly recommend for everyone!!
This place is a bust. We were there for 10 minutes before the kids we took were bored and wanted to leave.
Had some cool exhibits that my kids liked. Definitely a well used childrens museum. Many of the exhibits were very worn. Im sure we will come back though. We had a great time.
Needs lots of work/ renovations would be great bring everything up to the times. Lots of things were out of order
Sparked the imagination of my children. Lots of hands on activities. Be ready to take lots of video. Be ready to enjoy yourself.
It was really nice museum not big but good for kids to sit and get the experience of being in a police car, fire truck, ambulance, police bike, etc.
I remember my Dad taking me to this museum over 15 years ago. Im glad to see its still going strong and it looks like theyve added a lot more to it outside of what I remember. I recall enjoying the interactivity of everything and getting excited about real world professions and the like. I highly recommend taking a side trip here if you happen to be in these neck of the woods. Honestly as a 26 year old, I want to go back.
A good place to take the kids but quite a few of the displays were not functioning.
Nothing fancy ....? You love this museum.
4 year old daughter had a blast. Reasonably priced too.
This museum offers hours of educational fun at a very low price for younger children. I would say that the age range here would be 10 and under. Kids older than that might be bored at the things offered here as entertainment. Theres full-sized community vehicles here such as a bus, an ambulance, firetruck, police car, and helicopter. They have science and STEM areas as well as roleplay areas such as the grocery store shop where kids like to pretend theyre shopping.Best of all, their security is top notch here. Only one door is used for entrance/exit. Any other door opened sets off an alarm so you know nobody can sneak out with your child or no child can accidentally get out of the building on their own. Should you lose track of your child, you notify the front desk and every employee searches for them. Its truly wonderful here.
Good place for kids to run around, learn and have fun! We always enjoy going there
Great place to bring the kids. Pretty well kept lots to keep the kids busy and its clean.
A little run down but awesome for kids
This place is filthy. Dont waste your time or money here. I have a membership for my son and come here once a month or so. The store and art studio are NEVER open! I dont know why they charge so much. The staff doesnt do anything. The whole place needs to be cleaned. The bathroom is the cleanest spot in the whole museum. Exhibits that are broken are never fixed. If I could give no stars I would. Take the extra drive to Lodi and visit the WOW museum instead. At least they care to take care of their museum and have excellent customer service skills.
“Fun for the young, and the young at heart”My son was invited to a childrens birthday part at the museum and it was a blast! The birthday venue was simple and hosted a good amount of people 20-25 people. The exhibits were fun for my 2 year old and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed playing along with him. They had exhibits from science with water, to an actual tractor and ambulance to explore. I would definitely recommend this place for either a birthday party, or a fun family afternoon!
I love this place I used to go here as a child all the time and now Im taking my own children. for the price its really good for what you get the staff doesnt bug you but if you need to ask questions or find something staff is always there. The bathrooms are big and clean. And staff is always cleaning while youre playing or walking around and looking theyll clean as nobody plays with whatever is dirty or needs to be folded. They also have an arts and craft Center in there and staff will help the children its so nice I personally love the Childrens Museum and when I took my children they loved it to definitely be going back here and would definitely suggest to others to taking their children here.
My son loves going
Great place. A lot can be said about this museum. It is fun my daughter asks to go back repeatedly.
Lots of fun things to do for all ages
Expensive way to give the kids something to do for a short time and learn how things work in the real world
Very fun for children and a wonderful learning environment!!
Cool place to take your lil kids
