Pat is the BEST! A large group of us are staying here for a bachelorette party and he has been AMAZING! The cabin is great, so much room for all of us, nice atmosphere, clean and fun! Great big patio with a grill and a fire table. We couldnt have asked for a better weekend here. We would LOVE to return for a fun, laid back weekend! Also, BB the camp dog is just the sweetest and added to our trip

I was acquainted with the owner (Pat) through friends that rented a boat on 8/27. I received his number and on 8/29 I called and the voicemail mentioned to NOT leave a voicemail and send a text message. I preceded to do so. I did not hear anything back and on 8/30 I copied and pasted the same message and sent it again. He called back immediately and stated that the date worked and to call him the next day. I called the next day - no pick up. Kept calling throughout the week and no pick up. I sent follow up messages as I asked to rent the pontoon on 9/13. My friends and I arrived at the site the day of and I called the number and no one answered. I walked up to the house to see if anyone was there and he finally came out. He said that I did not callback nor did he confirm the date with me (even though the calendar had my name on it with a question mark beside it). He stated that I did not do the paperwork and someone called earlier that morning to schedule the pontoon THAT day. He was more worried about the Vikings game then to attend to his potential customers. He then attempted to ask me when I called and before I could answer he said a month ago - as if he was mansplaining that I called a month ago (which it was less than a month ago). He recommended other places to see if we can rent another pontoon. My advice is if the owner receives multiple calls a day - to hire an administrator or a virtual assistant that can help manage the calls and stay on track or have a website to manage reservations as being the secretary for the place and managing the place is not benefiting the owner whatsoever. The system that this place has is NOT effective and the way that it was presented was not customer focused based. I’m very disappointed that he kept saying someone called that morning (and apparently he answered them) and now they get to rent the pontoon the whole day instead of my group which called weeks before. I’m also shocked he kept bringing up the Vikings game and how he was missing it at the most pontooners don’t come until 2pm. I don’t recommend this place for high quality service and effective communication.

The owner is incredibly hard to get a hold of and rude when you do finally get a hold of him. He treats you like you are the biggest inconvenience to his day and that he has several other things to do at all times. His boat rentals are overpriced and just over all poor customer service and professionalism.

Pat was very polite and accommodating. The 24footer was in great shape and powerful 115hp motor. Id rent it again!

Great place to catch a boat

This place is awesome! For my family and I this is the best marina on the St. Croix River. The boaters here are awesome, they have free ice and really nice docks. Plus, when I have a large party I can rent a pontoon for the day. Nice clean facilities, fire pits, bbq, views, etc.
