Stillwater in general is an adorable little town! I wish we would have had time for shopping. The lift bridge is a neat experience. Thank goodness we were on the bridge when someone needed to go through. We walked the length of the bridge and enjoyed the view.

This bridge (which still lifts for passing ships) is open only to pedestrians and bicycles, which is great! Its fun to walk across to Wisconsin. Best of all, its located in scenic and quaint Stillwater which is worth a visit all on its own.

Its a picturesque walk across the bridge. Got to the shore after crossing over to the wisconsin side. Kids had a blast with their scooter rides and watching the draw bridge go up and down. Lovely views both ways with some fancy boats/yatchs to see

I went on the loop across the old lift bridge around to the new bridge and it was a really nice walk. Always a great way to get out and enjoy the outdoors and plenty of places to grab lunch or dinner after!

It used to be a regular bridge and now it is a pedestrian biking Bridge. It is really fun to go across and the st. Croix River is very picturesque. Downtown Stillwater is beautiful!

This location is for the historic bridge, not for the town of Stillwater. The bridge was recently restored as a pedestrian and bicycle crossing. The bridge adds to the scenic beauty of the area. It is quite fun to cross to enjoy the views and watch the bridge raise in the summer months. The bridge is part a trail loop with the new suspension bridge to the south. I enjoyed stopping by to visit the Liftmaster.

Love the spot and industrial - maritime feel of it. I come down here around 5:30 am to watch the sunrise before going to work. Youll see fish feeding at the surface on the south side of the bridge.

Great summer bike ride loop: Stillwater lift bridge to St. Croix bridge. Do it clockwise for one big uphill and a super long downhill. About 5 miles.

The old road bridge has been turned into a highly pleasing pathway for both pedestrians and bicyclists. Views of the river and city are lovely.
