We were very fortunate to be able to get into the museum without being in a group, our timing was perfect. Having the whole place to yourself was an additional treat. I will admit to not being a GM car enthusiast, always had imports but the vehicle condition, most restored or original was impressive. Having seen pictures of many of the concept cars in the past, it was great to actually see them in person.

Very interesting collection of GM vehicles including one off prototypes and concepts. Limited access to the museum so take any opportunity to visit that you get. The collection changes over time so its worth it to visit more than once. Other than vehicles the center also includes a collection of old signs and a variety GM engines.

I visited the GM heritage center September 18, 2019. The outside looks like a typical industrial building. The inside has some really cool cars and trucks and some other parts of gm history such as Delco fans, appliances. I highly recommend you visit. The cars on exhibit constantly change and you must come back often to see all the different cars.

First, it should be noted that the GM Heritage Center is rarely open to the public. Access is typically only available if youre attending a meeting or special event at the facility. That said, this is one of the most exclusive and unique collection of GM vehicles anywhere in the world. It consists of vehicles from about 1900-present, some production, some racing, some concept, etc. It is a MUST visit for any car buff if given the opportunity. It was take about an hour or two to get through depending on home detailed you want to be. And if you get the opportunity to talk cars with one of the staff, youre even more lucky. These guys are a wealth of vehicle information and history. Ive been to the facility twice now, and wouldnt hesitate to go back yet again.

GMs Heritage center is a treasure trove of many, many beautiful concept & production vehicles, from GMs history. It included fully restored & original concepts & famous production vehicles. GM doesnt really advertise the center & maintains it, to the highest standard possible. One couldnt touch or open doors or hood, without prior permission- so it seemed. There is an entry fee to the center. Very impressive!!

From all the car museums this must be the best. By far. Seeing the past here means looking into the future. The Corvette concepts, the Cadillacs, cutting edge Pontiacs... this is no museum by any means, this is a statement of transportation in the most creative and artistic way.
