We stopped here when we were passing through. We did not wait for a guided tour which meant we would not able to enter the buildings. It was an interesting place to walk around. I recommend stopping if you have a half hour to spare.

Some beautiful and interesting structures. But, lady working didnt seem to know squat about Stephenville history. My guess is that this place has a potential to be a much better educational centee than what it is.

Very nice people, nice old village to visit. Connects w a 5mile walking trail. Town center w cafes a few blocks away. View how early settlers lived. Stephenville is also home to Tarleton State University.

The grounds are beautiful, and well kept. We had the pleasure of going for an annual plant sale and there were several vendors. The neatest thing about this place, in my opinion, is the black smithing forge, which they had up and running, to make plant hooks which were being given out for free. This museum is an excellent educational experience for young and old and its saved several local landmarks from going by the wayside. Super fun place!

It felt like a trip back in time. I heard they do events in the summer and they open up some of the buildings, that would have been cool to see. Overall, we enjoyed learning about the first settlers of Stephenville.
