This family run business is one of the great gifts of living in this town. I dont know of any other childrens theatre program that offers this level of quality skill building in such a positive and nurturing environment. Young people from any background and experience level will enjoy themselves and grow doing a show with Singing Onstage. My daughter has done a number of shows here over the past four years and each one has helped her to flourish in other areas of her life. She is not an isolated case as every friend, family member, and neighbor we have recommended it to has been amazed by the results. Some of the shyest children I know feel safe enough in this setting to gain miraculous levels of confidence that transfers into their social and academic lives. Of all the investments I have made in my childrens developmental experiences, I consider this to be one of the clearest values.

Singing on Stage (SOS) is an absolute State College treasure! It is a musical theater group for kids of all ages. Heidi brings a level of theater experience and expertise that one would normally find in a much bigger city. On top of that, and perhaps even more impressive, is the way she interacts with the students. She is incredibly encouraging and builds her students up while still drawing great performance out of them. My kids have really blossomed under her leadership. She is such a positive role model for my kids. If your kids have any interest in singing or theater, definitely check them out!

Miss Heidi is a true GEM! One of the greatest things about these classes is that they instill confidence in our children! Plus she seamlessly teaches many other skills while kids have a blast singing, acting, and dancing! Best of all is seeing my childs smile and joy after each class.

My daughter has been attending Singing on Stage for the past 3 years and I have watched her develop confidence in herself and joy in the process of learning musical theatre and performing with others. Students are warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by Heidi when they arrive at the studio for class. Our daughter has been attending Singing Onstage classes and camps for the last 11 years. It has been the best decision weve made. She has developed her singing, her acting, her dancing, and her self-confidence. But these magical musical experiences are so much more than that. Our oldest daughter has been a student at Singing On Stage since age 4. Eight years later, we couldn’t be more pleased with her growth as a performer but we also marvel at all of the other ways that Singing On Stage has enriched her life. All 3 of our children are now enrolled and they count down to singing days. Heidi’s passion and enthusiasm is contagious. Every child is welcomed and challenged in a nurturing and fun environment. We love that every child shines at Singing On Stage!

My daughter has truly enjoyed the welcoming, nurturing and learning environment that Heidi and her Singing On Stage family offers. She has fun, she builds self-confidence, develops team work skills and learns the ins and outs of putting on a performance. She has done several shows now with Heidis regular season as well as some truly amazing Summer Camp performances that have blown me away! It is literally amazing the caliber of show that Heidi and the kids can accomplished in ONE WEEK! What I have noticed is not only does Heidi and her crew offer support and instruction but the older children in the groups are always helping and supporting younger performers as well. Its a lovely atmosphere and my 12 year old daughter really enjoys it. Both she and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Singing On Stage.

Our child has been participating with Singing Onstage for over 7 years. She absolutely loves it! Heidi and her team provide a fun caring atmosphere in which children from all abilities and personalities can learn and participate. Summer camps provide a perfect introduction to what the larger productions are all about, and it’s always amazing to see how they pull off a great performance in 1 week! It’s been so much fun watching our daughter develop throughout her years of participation; from saying small lines with little movement during her younger years, to incorporating choreography and emotion into the scenes as she grows. We feel that being comfortable and confident on stage in front of an audience is an invaluable life skill whether you are perusing theater/the arts in the future or not.

Both of my children have been taking classes and doing performances at Singing on Stage for many years. It is an incredibly warm, supporting learning environment. Heidi, Richard, and Madeline know how to help children develop skills in the most amazing way. Both of my kids have developed self confidence, leadership, self control, and collaboration skills in addition to all the performance specific skills like singing, acting, staging, and remembering lines. Heidi doesnt just teach singing and dancing, Heidi embraces these learners with love, instilling self confidence, teaching these children to feel proud of them selves. I cant say enough great things about Heidi and Singing Onstage. Heidi and her team do an amazing job with the performances and the little performers. Heidi is very loving, patient and caring. My child is currently in her ninth production with Singing Onstage and I am more amazed than ever at the level of professionalism and dedication from the Bievers and everyone on the team. Being part of young peoples theater was a factor in our decision to move to State College and SOS has fulfilled every wildest hope we had. My daughter has moved from one age group to another in the past two and a half years and I am blown away by what students are able to accomplish in such a short time, as in summer camps, and by what an incredibly professional performance they give after a semesters worth of work. Students learn all about theater, speaking, singing, dancing, and so much about confidence and taking pride in themselves. The methods used in SOS are positive and powerful reinforcements and I am proud of the person my child has become as a direct result of the modeling she has received.

Our three sons have participated in various shows through Singing Onstage for five years now, and I continue to be impressed with the attention, patience, and enthusiasm Heidi and Rich show toward each of their students! When our kids were younger it was a fun way to introduce them to the world of theater, and for them to begin developing singing and performing skills.Now that they are older, Singing Onstage gives them a chance to participate in more involved shows, to work with other experienced students, and to experience other unique opportunities, such as performing in a show with a live band! We are very fortunate to have a program such as this in our community. Our family greatly appreciates how much our kids have enjoyed and learned though the various programs, and how much they now appreciate and love theater.

A year ago I never would have thought that my daughter would be performing in musicals in front of others. She is very shy and has never been interested. Heidi invited her to try out one of her classes and she has been hooked ever since! She is not performing in her 5th show! Our family could never give enough praise to Rich and Heidi Biever and their amazing Singing Onstage program. All 5 of our children have been fortunate enough to participate in shows with SOS. We have watched them grow from being unsure and timid onstage to full out belting, dancing and acting machines!
