I like going in the morning when jim Miller is in. Always a fun guy and great w customer service.Golf swing knowledge been very helpful!
I have on a mission to explore, learn, and try new things. So far so good! One of the things I wanted to do was learn to golf. I have never hit a golf ball in my life and my friend from Menlo Park took me to this golf driving range to practice. Apparently this is the old practice grounds for Tiger Woods. My friend grew up in an affluent city and is very familiar with this sport that targets towards those who, for the lack of better words, are rich. So he knows a thing or two about golfing.Unfortunately, it has been quite a while since he has been at a golf driving range. When we entered, the man was very curt with his answers. His demeanor wasnt too friendly and seemed a bit irate. However, regardless of his tone with us, we were cordial with him. So his attitude changed to a more relaxed one and at the very end was helpful. The prices seemed reasonable, although I lack any sources for comparison. $12 for 100 balls seemed very reasonable to me, as it provided more than an hours worth of entertainment. Also, since I didnt have any clubs of my own and couldnt borrow my friends (hes 61 ... its not going to work), they had clubs for me to borrow for no additional charge!Note - you dont have to pay at the register, you can just go to the ball dispensing machine to pay. This is probably standard at many golfing ranges but then again, I wouldnt know. Im a newbie. So finally, we ended up at the driving course and my first hit was very successful. The consequential hits, not so much. However, I was being taught by a great teacher and ended up having some nice drives. Overall, the course provided what I needed. A clean, well-organized, reasonably priced place to hit a few golf balls and bust some balls.
I visited there around 2 pm(10/8/20). I was so scared of the old man who was wearing the red color T-shirt. When I pay for it he asked me to swipe a credit card. But it wasnt such a system. I couldnt do that because the credit card mechine was directed towards the worker. I was so embarrassed that I was just staring. So when I said I cannot do it and then he was angry and swipe my card by himself and threw away my credit card at the table. It was a ridiculous experience. The other man in the black jacket kindly guided me.
Nice and wide range with good targets. My only complaint was that the yardage chart was not accurate. Otherwise, a great practice range.
10$ for alumni and 13$ for everyone else. Was able to find a spot on a busy Saturday
Really well maintained and nice range. A bit pricey and can be crowded.
Best driving range around, little pricy but not too bad
Pretty good driving range, a little pricey. The staff is very unfriendly unfortunately.
Great job during Covid. If you go dont forget your mask!
Great range with fees that are low compared to other ranges on the peninsula.
The man at the pro shop when my girlfriend and I came in on Friday, June 5, 2020 around 5:30p/6p was a bit loud and rude. Perhaps he was having a bad day or dealing with challenging customers but it was not particularly pleasant. It seemed like a bit of a power trip, which I didn’t appreciate, but we got our range balls and went on our way. I’m going with 2 stars instead of 1 to give him and the driving range the benefit of the doubt. I don’t have any need to return to this driving range and will stick to Shoreline.
Big enough for you to take your hardest swing!
Very well maintained, beautiful, out-of-the-way driving range to hit a few balls at lunch --not too crowded on a Tuesday. Just wish it had more shaded areas for a hot day.
Great atmosphere very nice range
Good AstroTurf driving range with plenty of places to hit from and targets. 4 stars for being astro turf. Would recommend otherwise.
Nice range, would be better off the grass rather than mats.
Very nice driving range. No problem with parking or finding tee
A very beautiful golf course.
Great driving range, which is what we went in for. Will update when we experience much more...
Staff very friendly. They make it easy to visit. Always pleasant.
Very quiet when we arrived Sunday night one hour before closing. Lights are good. Friendly staff.
I alwsys enjoy hitting balls here. The staff is always personable and proffesdional ( special shout out to Jim). Facility is clean well stocked and is in fine tepsir and great shape,. Its well maintained and clean and balls are always good and plentifulGreat instructors and teaching area. So the only drawback is the relatively non-existent shipping area and The Cutting greens probably leaves a little bit to be desired as well although itll make you Hartwell especially on fast greens.
Brand new mats and clubhouse, with super cheap balls
Great diving range!
The Stanford Golf Driving Range is well-maintained and not expensive ($3 per 25 balls, or $2.50/25 balls if youre Stanford-affiliated; no bulk discounts). Parking lot is small and free; you are typically able to find parking on any given day.
Very nice place. sadly its far from freeway
Very friendly staff. Great venue and sights to enjoy your outing.
Very convenient if you work at the hospital. Not aware of any hospital with a closer driving range elsewhere in the country. Cheap prices for trainees.
Not that bad place to practice your shot. But be careful that theres no shadow!!
The only reason this doesnt get an excellent is because there is no area to hit off grass. Lots of good targets to aim for. Pro shop staff are friendly.
Great place! It can get crowded on weekends, but didnt have to wait long for a spot.
Nice driving range that is easily accessible to students and not terribly expensive.
Great Staff, exceptional prices for Stanford Staff and ....amazing athmosphere!
Good price, friendly staff, definitely liked it!
Free clubs to use (at least for students, not sure about others)
Best fun option on campus
Wow!!
Golf is dumb
Sweet place
Great range
Parking is a problem here
Not expensive and good view
Spots are always available
