I am only putting one because I cant leave a review otherwise. Do not go to this. They keep the animals confined for most of their life. They are chained when not confined. They are whipped and beaten since they are babies. This is a true horrifying life these poor creatures live. It is not living. Dont go to anything where animals are a part of the entertainment.

I never publicly bash something, but here I go. I haven’t gone to a circus in almost 15+ years because of how animals were treated. But, when I heard about Carden International Circus and their “animal friendly” policies, I bought my family tickets. We arrived to a circus only double the size of my house that should have had a capacity of around 400 people. They packed well over 1,000 families into rotting wooden bleachers, had them sitting on the stairs (meaning there was no way to leave your seats) and even had hundreds sitting IN the actual ring on the floor. Making a 3 ring circus a 1 ring. The bleachers were so uncomfortable and crowded that people were getting sick, including myself. But I stuck it. Then, after making the place completely unsafe to move and leave, especially in any emergency, they had performers shooting arrows directly at families and Ariel artists climbing over guests to perform over top of them. Not to mention whipping their tigers, which was against what they said they did. In the case of an emergencies, we would have been trampled to death. People started leaving left and right demanding refunds. Including us. No refund directly at site, we have to call later. So, I call the authorities due to how unsafe it was. I was told by the operator that I was 100% valid in my concerns and that I was not the first person to call. The police show up, scan the area and call me to meet with them. This officer proceeds to talk down to me like I am a child saying that the place has been busier in the past and that “it’s one of those things where you just hope and accident doesn’t happen”. I have never been so belittled and angry. Don’t waste your money. Don’t let them convince you that they are a safe circus and don’t let your family be put in danger due to the fact that the Clarksville Speedway cares more about money then safety. Pictures below.

I havent been to see this circus but I am so completely appalled at it. I thought that using animals in this way was made illegal. These beautiful creatures need to be out of the entertainment industry. Please do not attend any circuses that use animals. They are innocent and they should never be expected to do things that are completely unnatural for them. It hurts my heart.

I will never go to this circus ever again!!! We had to stand for the whole entire show. They do not have proper seating for families at all. They will allow thousands of people to enter the circus even if it’s absolutely full. Staff is rude, they will tell you not to stand to find a seat even if you have kids and it’s only one seat available in the mist of strangers. No one offered to bring any chairs for us to sit in. They want all the money for very little seating and you will have. To stand for hours with your children. Show was good but not good enough to deal with a crowd and rude staff members, or stand on your feet. They don’t give refunds and they want tell you they are full and there is no where to sit you will have to pay before you find out.

All Circuses abuse their animals. They torture and break them down when they are young so that when they are older and bigger they are too afraid to resist. If you go to this circus you will be supporting the torture and abuse of endangered creatures that are intelligent and gentle.

I was born and raised in Europe, lived here in the US for the last 23 years. Ive lived in on the east coast, west coast and central US through out.Ive seen beautiful circus come alive with laughter and astonishments, which left you with well deserved curiosity and wonder. Loved and well treated animal doing tricks because the treatment to them was more then fair and you could tell by the mental and psychical demeanor. Like a fairy book opening right in-front of your eyes both adult and children left happy. When we went to this one we had I guess that sort of expatiation. But instead we were seated in a sea of seats, the view of the ring was lighted in a horrific way framing all inhumane treatments of the animals and the boring human acts. There was no love, no fun just mimics to keep you watching. We left 15 mint. into it. The kids around us neither had any interest or where basically mortified of what was happening because their concept for the circus idea was a loving magical world under a circus tent. Not worth the money, time or memory of it.

This was the worst Ive ever seen. The tigers was the only thing i just watched. The toys, and dont get me wrong, a little toy car of a offbrand transformer, $20!! Thats overpriced. Little finger lights, 3 for $5. Popcorn bags like the big theatre popcorn bags were like $10, and i could get one from the movie theatre for $5. This place was full of rookies.

I took my son 12 to see the circus. When we first arrived it looked small and I thought I would be disappointed. The acrobats were amazing and kept us very entertained. They had tigers and elephants and motorcycles that went around in a cage. I wish they had more clowns but overall the circus was very entertaining. We would definitely go back well worth the money spent.

The treatment of their animals is horrifying and cruel. Betty the elephant is in need of medical treatment, yet nothing has been done. This isnt a circus, its all about greed. Carden International Circus is one of several similarly named companies—all run by Brett Carden; his father, George; and other members of their notorious family—that exploit elephants, camels, and other animals and currently hire outside exhibitors to supply tigers for its cruel acts. The family has a lengthy history of violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act, including failing to provide an elephant who had open wounds with proper veterinary care and intensively confining tigers—records show that they were confined to a transport cage for 23 hours a day.Opposition to the use of animals for entertainment is stronger than ever before, as was shown by the closure of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which shut down after 146 years of cruelty and exploitation, citing the publics changing attitude toward animal circuses

I understand there have been changes in the circus industry. This circus did have tigers, dogs, and horses that performed. There were clowns, acrobats, and motocycles in the ball. The performance itself was adequate but for a decent portion of the show they tried to get you to buy more trinkets. They did a light show dance to try and get you to buy the light up toys. They had a 45 minute intermission where you could buy tickets to ride a camel, ponies, jump in a bounce house, or get your face painted. They continually advertised the balloon on a stick during their intermission. The intermission was far too long in my opinion. Then they performed for only 20 minutes after the intermission. Just be prepared for your kids to be begging for lots of extra things!

The worst event experience I have ever had. Animals were not treated kindly, whipped and made to wear completely hooded costumes. Terrible. The event space was over sold. Event seating could comfortable seat 500 people. They sold and crammed over a thousand people into the area. The three ring circus was reduced to a one ring due to customers having to sit on the floor inside the circle. Customers were made to sit on the exit steps of the bleachers. The area was so over crowded that during the archery performance arrow were shot towards guests seated behind the scenes in old wooden chairs. The ring leader was condescending and rude to guests over the loud speaker mocking them for not know where to sit due to their being no logical place to sit. Food and drinks were over priced. The line to get in was discombobulated and we were made to go to the back of a separate line twice (we purchased online ahead of time) even after being told before we got in line that we were in the right line. Every person we spoke to talked down to us and was overly rude.We had to struggle to leave the show due to the grossly constricted size of the crowd. We left prior to intermission. Please read this review and please do not go to this event. It is a waste of time and your money. This was by far the worst event experience I have ever had.

I bought the $9 adult ticket online and they would not let me use the free coupon for my nephew that they passed out to local businesses. I understand it does say in small print not used with other offers, but they were extremely rude. I would like to give them no stars but I cant so I will settle for a 1 star. This circus was terrible. Please do not waste your money because you would be giving it to a circus that abuses their animals. The elephants looked aweful and they used those batons on them which I thought were illegal. The tigers were very beautiful and looked healthy unlike the elephants but I was too far away to see what the trainer was using to get them to do the tricks. It did look like he was swinging something at them but it didnt look like a whip. It looked like a string and he was giving them treats. After the tigers performed it look like they were being put into a small trailor with a black tarp over it. Also, every item at the circus was over priced. We spent close to a $100 that I wish I could get back. I usually dont go to circuses but I thought this circus treated their animals better but it simple isnt true. My hope is that they get shut down before the animals decided to revolt against them and harm innocent people. I thank God that this didnt happen when my husband and daughter were riding the elephant which cost $15.00. I wish I would have checked these reciews and educated myself about the animal cruelty of the animals before I went to this circus. I now know that most circuses have been shut down or are not using animals in their acts. I feel aweful about giving my money to this circus because I gave money to animal abusers. The show that I attended was in Joplin, MOPLEASE DO NOT GO to this circus or any other circus that has animals.

I wish I didnt even have to give them 1 star. I was so excited to finally be able to take my family to an animal friendly circus. One that specifically advertised FRIENDLY. The very first act included a poor dog in a hooded costume with temps well into the 80s. Then we watched tigers being whipped if they didnt perform the right stunt at the right time. Guests were packed into the bleachers like sardines. Ticket sales were put over safety as stairs were blocked and guest were sitting on the floor IN THE RINGS. The three ringed circus quickly turned into a 1 ring forcing performers to dangle in the air mere feet above CHILDREN. That just topped the cake for me. Wouldnt recommend anyone waste their hard earned money to attend.

Pay out the wazoo to ride the animals before the show. Then theres an intermission so you can spend more money to ride the animals. Concessions are pricey too! The show is meh, but if youre a little kid, you might enjoy it. I was also charged $18 for childs ticket. I wasnt paying attention, so I didnt notice until I got home and checked my online banking. I had already purchased an adult early bird ticket online for $9. I was supposed to be paying $14 for a childs ticket. Theres also a $2 fee if you pay with a credit card at the venue.

This is not for children or respectable adults. The Circus business has plummeted into the mud. To be blunt, It was trash. We took our 4 young children to see the circus and call me naïve and old fashioned, but I was expecting to actually see, ya know, animals and talented preformers. Sort of like a modern day ‘Toby Tyler’ if you will. We payed the big bucks to be seated in the front. We bought our cotton candy and the show began. The lights dimmed and the stage was set. Suddenly music began and I heavily considered stuffing some of my cotton candy into my ears. It was like elementary school program music with a tacky beat. A group of college age girls came out in, well, not much. Nude tone nylons up to the neck and glitter strategically sprinkled here and there. Most of them had animal prints painted on their suits and masks of zebras and giraffes on. Basically they were supposed to look naked with sparkles on the unmentionables. They wiggled and cheered the crowds on like high school cheerleaders. They began to sing “Animals are so special” and half an hour later of no animals, I began to get upset. We payed for a circus preformance, not for my children to lose their innocence watching a bunch of almost naked women shimmying around the rings trying to feel attractive and feed their own egos. FINALLY they brought 3 elephants out with 3 wiggling girl’s dressed like sleazy yellow ostrich’s sitting on their backs. The elephants did a few turns and circles, stepped up on a stool and 5 minutes later they were taken backstage again. Here came the cheesy broadway singing and dancing again, singing Lion King this time...15 excruciating minutes later there was a man who did tricks with about 7 or 8 tigers for 10 minutes. There was a clown act that was cute with a wind up elephant that was really a darling real poodle in a suit. After that, there came the worst act of all. A gal and guy tried to get cheap laughs by dressing up and acting like or making fun of Micheal Jackson, Brittany Spears, Justin Bieber, Kylie Jenner and the list goes on.... folkes... my children are small... They are into John Wayne and Shirley Temple and wear cowboy/cowgirl boots and go play with their kitties, chickens, and ponies. They play dolls and trucks and respect their elders. We live in a down-to-earth, level headed, respectable fashion and don’t watch this trash on or off of television. We gathered up our things and left the circus and. missed. nothing. There was no talent. None. Any Jane Doe can get nearly naked and wiggle in front of a crowd. My family and I are not going to sit there and watch it. I’m really not surprised at the lack of talent or effort put into these shows because people are sadly far too easily entertained today. All anyone needs is a few flashy lights, some upbeat music, and some young women wiggling around the stage and today’s generation will sit there like a happy baby in a colorful playpen. People really don’t even know what talent is anymore. I encourage you to not be one of the mindless sheep jumping off the cliff with all the other mindless sheep. Think higher. Take the money you’d otherwise spend on tickets for this circus and make sweeter memories....Buy a projector, hang a white sheet, make some popcorn, sit out on the lawn with your family, and watch Disney’s ‘Toby Tyler’ or ‘At the Circus’ starring Groucho Marx. Those were the days when they knew what real talent was. You’ll be better for it. And so will America’s next generation.
