Arts Center of the Ozarks is just a building. It has four exterior walls and a roof. The magic is in the people who visit, inhabit, and run the Arts Center. Their is always art on the walls and activities for children and adults. Volunteers teach every type of art. Inside the of building there is a full size theater; a gallery filled with ever changing art; and class rooms for rehearsal and instruction. As I previously stated, its just a building, what makes it special are the people connected to it. They provide a means to express themselves and teach others to do the same. If you find yourself bottled up and missing human contact, stop by and become renewed.
I’ve always enjoyed The Marketplace, but noticing a change in the quality and taste of the food lately. We often order carry out. The last time we ordered dinner the chicken tenders tasted like they were cooked in rancid oil, and the sweet potato fries were super skinny and burned beyond a crisp. I thought this was just an off night and orderedCarryout again a couple weeks later. Chicken tenders still tasted awful like they were cooked in rancid oil. The bread was so hard we couldn’t tear it apart, and the parmesan spinach was dried up and hard like it had been sitting under a warming light for way too long. We live 5 minutes away so I know it’s not because the food was sitting in my car for a while. I’m going to give them a few months before we give them a third try. Now I know why the parking lot looks so empty when I drive by. So sad as this place used to be so good and always packed.
Excellent Community Art Center featuring regional talent and children programs .
I love The Arts Center Of The Ozarks! Its a beautiful gem in our community. The staff is committed to furthering the arts and community in NW Arkansas, especially promoting the revitalization of Downtown Springdale. I highly recommend visiting them for art classes, theatre or visual arts exhibits.
Very nice experience, first time in auditorium for stage play. Comfortable seats with ample legroom !!!
Love this little theatre. Im always impressed with the performances I see here.
Been here on 2 different occasions. They have great performances and events. Always fun always entertaining
First visit. Mama Mia play. Very fun
Plays are great and cast is thoroughly entertaining. A very good way to spend a Saturday evening.
Such a treat to watch this kind of local and visiting talent.
Awesome place, hidden gem! Go check it out!!
Just watched Mamma Mia. It was great. Im glad that we have a community theater with this calliber of performances.
ACO, in addition to supporting Arts in our schools, has a variety of entertainment at reasonable prices. Weve seen several plays and musical performances and enjoyed them all. We watched a very talented and unique performance from a band from Chile last night. They have two more shows today.
Giving them 4 stars because they are always evolving and that means there is room to impress time and time again. I cant say more positive things about the team at ACO. They are truly dedicated to the arts in Arkansas and have given countless artists opportunities to showcase and grow. Respect.
Classy little community theater in the heart of NWA. Quality talent and performances year after year, reasonably priced, and a variety of productions offered for all ages.
Bathrooms have trouble keeping up during intermission due to high traffic. They do have a lot of stalls which is nice though!
Wonderful first experience to see Into the Woods. What a wonderful performance by all of the young actors. Looking forward to coming to see another performance in the future!
What a lovely little theater. We went for a childrens play and stayed for an hour looking at artwork in the lobby. They have many free classes for all age groups. We are looking at getting are children involved in some of the upcoming events, and perhaps myself also.
Absolutley love this place.. the Charlie Brown Christmas play rocked..
Went here on a field trio with my daughters classroom and the show was great. Positive energy here and wonderful and funny show for any age.
Never knew it was there. Like Springdale version of Walton Art Center.
NWAAT is a fantastic new genre of theater. A joy to listen to. A most if you like theater and the like.
Have been there numerous time and it has always been exceptional.
We had class there. Good place for meetings.
I went here to watch a Christmas musical on year and it was awesome. They had everything prepared and all of the staff members were so nice.
Good shows reasonable prices
Never a bad seat in this venue. Community theater at its best
We have been a member for over 5 years! The theatre is state of the art. The talent and direction is the best.
Love this facility. Very diverse range of activities.
The ACO lets people from the local community have a creative outlet; its a lot of fun!
Longest running community based arts center in Northwest Arkansas. Thank your for preserving an arts world and carrying it through from generation to generation.
Quality Performances. Beautiful theatre and art. Amazing people, and will always keep you wanting more.
Mama Mia was great
Really loud speaker directly above our seats. Other than that, we enjoyed the show.
I used to really like ACO - until Eve Smith came along as visual director. The girl is extremely RUDE and why she is still working here.....heaven knows. ATTITUDE PROBLEM, I will NOT be back until SHE IS GONE.Extremely unfortunate that she represents the ACO Visual department. It was a bad decision to hire her. She needs an attitude adjustment in the biggest way!!!!!!! It is sad really.
Great tradtion in Springdale. Quality productions for arts enthusiasts of all ages.
