We love FINS! My daughter has been going here for almost 2 years now and it is amazing what she is capable of doing in the water at her age (she is 3). We currently have Coach Shay and she is amazing! My daughter loves going to swim each week and Coach Shay does a fantastic job of being patient with her and progressing her further in her swimming abilities. I highly recommend FINS and Coach Shay!
My daughter has been attending Fins for about three years and she really enjoys it. She has always loved swimming and to see how she has improved over the years has been really gratifying. Her instructor, Ms. Meredith is very positive and patient with her and always lets me know what shes doing well and what she needs to work on.
We have been going to Fins for two seasons now. My little boy has come so far in a short time! We absolutely love Coach Meredith. Shes so good with busy little boys, keeping him focused while having a lot of fun. Would highly recommend!
This place is the best! We started taking our 3 yr old here and he loves it! He is always so excited to go and has the best teacher, Mrs. Meredith. She has helped him grow leaps and bounds with his swimming abilities and we couldn’t be happier!!
My sister wanted me to write a review because she loves going here to swim! She especially loves her swimming instructor Shay! “Shay is very nice and helps me become a better swimmer.” Definitely recommend fins to other kids wanting a place to learn how to swim or improve their technique.
I absolutely love FINS. I have both of my boys taking lessons.. The wonderful coaches are so patient and caring.. My youngest son, 4 years old, was afraid of the water when he started. He is 6 now and loves to jump in . At FINS they also teach water safety which is huge for me. My sons have grown to love swimming since being at FINS.
My daughter has been swimming here for 5 months with Coach Shay, and we couldnt be happier. Her confidence in the water has grown in everyway. Every week I see children of all ages moving confidently through the water and growing their swim skills. I highly recommend FINS swim school for anyone wanting their child to swim at a high level.
Our 10 month old son has been attending swim lessons with Ashley since he turned 6 months and he absolutely loves it!! It is the highlight of his week. Our experience has only been positive and highly recommend to all!
Coach Meredith, Coach Marianne, Coach Ashley, Coach Kelly, and Coach Laura have all been fantastic to our children. I highly recommend you consider FINS to help your children learn to swim. Our children started out afraid of the water and now are thriving.
FINS has been great to all three of our kiddos. Our youngest is the most particular to her instructor and she took to Coach Shay right away. She has learned so much and we are so happy with all of our lessons over the years.
My son went to Fins Swim school for baby fins 1- 3 and he absolutely loved it. Everyone from the front desk to all of his instructors were amazing. Highly recommend Fins Swim School!!!!
My son did the 5 week class with coach Ashlee, and we loved her so much that we added another class with her so when the program ended, he would still be able to do classes with her! I was told she’s gonna be leaving for college soon, and I don’t know how I’m gonna break the news to my son because he loves working with her so much! He struggles so much with listening and paying attention and gets so distracted (in the middle of getting him tested for ADHD) and she is so patient with him, and actually helps him listen! He moved up to another swim level before the 5 weeks ended and I’m so shocked and proud of him! Everyone there is so friendly and nice! I honestly could go on and on about how wonderful everyone is. My son is so excited to go to swim lessons every week ️
Great swim school that focuses on safety first, learning how to float and swim float swim in order to move up in levels. My son loves it and asks to go back every day!
Love the patience and enthusiasm Ashlee has during every session while being direct and firm. My son struggles with ADHD combined which can make learning new things challenging for him and whos doing the teaching as well but the instructors have always been positive and hes always smiling. He has learned a lot since beginning lessons and most importantly learning the safety rules that are reinforced every lesson. I appreciate FINS for helping me obtain peace of mind that he is becoming safer around water.
My son started taking lessons at 6 months old with coach Heather, and I can’t say enough good things about her. She is so sweet and loving with the babies and teaches a great class. Weekends at the swim school are a highlight of our week, the entire staff is so nice, the facility is clean and has a great amount of parking. We will be spending many years here working on swimming skills!
Everyone at Fins is so nice, patient, and flexible! They are amazing in and out of the swimming pool!
The instructors are great, very patient and teach very well. Had all 4 kids go through the Spring Klein location.
Great swim school. Coaches and staff are very professional and knowledgeable. We’ve been using FINS for both of our kids. It’s been a steady 9 years between the both of them!
We LOVE fins! Really can’t say enough good things. My 5 year old went from a nervous non-swimmer at the beginning of summer to a confident swimmer by summer’s end. My 2 year old has also grown to be comfortable around water and knows all about water safety. We love that the focus has been on water safety as well as teaching the kids swimming skills and to love the water. Our teachers have been amazing! They genuinely show an interest in your child each week and are excited to see them. A big thanks to coach Heather, coach Meredith, coach Andrew and the whole FINS crew for making little swimmers out of my kids. Keep up the great work!!
We love Coach Sam. She has been so patient with our 3 year old. He was terrified to swim without me and she has eased him into lessons and he actually looks forward to going and smiles during his lessons!!! They are wonderful at Fins on spring cypress, front desk is friendly and the changing area is so clean!!!
Great swim school with low student to teacher ratio. My kids started in yellow and aqua fins and are now in shark & silver fins and love their instructors. We are very happy with the progress they’ve made.
My boys have been going for over a year and I must say I have been pleased since day 1. I recently called and spoke to Jessica because I needed to change the date for my boys classes. She met all my needs! My boys love Coach Bill and she understood that. She made sure I was with Coach Bill and schedule me for a day and time that I was able to keep. It meant a lot to me and the boys because we are so busy with a different sport everyday of the week! Kudos to Jessica for providing GREAT customer service and to Coach Bill for being a EXCELLENT Instructor!! I have no complaints I will continue to go to FINS!! Thank you!!
My daughter has been going her for years. Started at yellow fins, now shes at dolphin level. Every teacher she has had, been hands on & very encouraging.
Working at FINS was life changing. First of all, I have an amazing group of coworkers that are always very supportive of me. They also create a very pleasant workspace. Secondly, my managers, Nelda and Jessica, have always been flexible with me and I appreciate it very much. They always try their best to provide resources to help us do our best. They also taught us important core values, which has helped me become a better swim instructor. Using these core values has also helped me connect with my students which helps them retain their knowledge. To anyone that is reading this, I would highly recommend coming to FINS for swim lessons. The instructors will always make sure that you have the best experience and help you learn some life saving skills. FINS, you rock!
My 3 girls have all been through FINS Spring-Klein since they were 3 yrs old. My oldest is now 18. She loves working out at the gym by swimming laps and easily doing flip turns - makes swimming so convenient and fast! She loves that she can stay in shape by swimming! My 12 and 9 yr olds are both in Fast Fins. Coach Cody, all my girls love your style of coaching! I would recommend FINS Spring-Klein to all kids wanting to swim - and most importantly learn to swim so you dont drown!
The staff is top notch and the instructors are amazing as well. The time allotted to each child to learn the days lesson is sufficient. Fins offers all types of classes from group swim to one-on-one lessons. I would definitely recommend their services to others seeking to teach their children the Art of Swim
I started working here in April and have enjoyed working here since. I can be fun with the kids while teaching them swimming and saving themselves in case of an accident. Teaching some of these kids is the highlight of my day everyday I come in to work!
My kids really enjoyed having swim lessons at Fins and they really have learned a lot in a short amount of time. All instructors are great too. The only thing I wished that the would improve is the switch time in between lessons. Because I think it’s important to give feedback to parents but than it’s taking away time from the next lesson.
Great instructors with tons of patience. Customer service is amazing. Also, reasonable pricing! Wouldn’t go to any other swimming school. Highly recommend.
My child has been taking swim lessons at FINS for several years. The instructors are great. Hes enjoyed his time here. He gets to learn and have fun, at the same time.
An Incredible Swim School! They even start swim lessons at 6 months, which is excellent for teaching imperative skills to help prevent drownings from pool accidents, once they become toddlers/young children! Also such an amazing staff, and Jessica is extremely helpful, she and the school are amazingggg!
Awesome facility! The pool and facility for year round training.
We have had nothing but good experiences with FINS! My son is on the autism spectrum and has had the kindest, most understanding swim instructors. We are FINS fans for life!
My daughters experience was well. Shes learned a lot in the short amount of time. The coach was very professional and the staff was very informative. Well definitely be back in the fall...
Very happy with the teaching method and staff. Miss Samantha is an excellent teacher. She’s professional and caring.
This is an amazing place to work! The general manager and assistant general manager truly care about all the employees and treat us like family and we in return love all our children and truly care about water safety as well as improving the swimming skills of all our enrollees. I love working here!!!
This place is great. But what really made it great was Jessica Traylor! SUPER friendly and knowledgeable! The whole experience was made so much better because of her!
Our daughter is 3 1/2 and has been going to this FINS location since she was a little over one year old. We had to take a break for a while, but it was a smooth transition when she started classes again. We started in baby classes and shes now with an instructor and a couple other kids. Classes are reasonably priced and shes enjoyed every instructor shes had. There have been semi-frequent teacher changes at some points, but since our daughter hasnt had any issues adjusting to new teachers it hasnt been a concern for us. I also really appreciate the new portal that allows teachers to update your childs progress, etc. We have another little one now and will eventually get her started in classes at FINS too.
Since changing to private lessons, Evan has learned so much so fast! Coach Jonathan always keeps it fun and motivating!
My kids have been going here for the past few summers. Their skill has improved so much and they love the program and the instructors. They are always so excited to share what they’re doing in class and looking forward to achieving the next level. This place really inspires them to be great swimmers.
I absolutely love this place, and even better, so does my daughter! She started in yellow in June of 2015, with a brief break from December of 2016 at bronze, then started back at bronze in July of 2017. She is now a shark. The teachers really take the time to make sure your child has mastered each step before moving onto the next level, which makes me very happy. Most places didn’t do that, and most places actually even take longer in each step, even though they don’t patiently wait for the child to master it. I highly recommend this place to anyone with children. Don’t just do one month or two and then move on. No. Stick it through to the end because I promise you it will be worth it. We’ve had experiences with almost every teacher except like 2 or 3 because of make up classes and all that jazz, and every single one of them are absolutely amazing! I couldn’t recommend this place more!
Awesome staff! Definitely recommend!! Has been a wonderful experience since the start.
My kids and I love it here. The entire staff is consistently friendly and helpful!
Weve been a part of FINS for over 7 years. Our girls have grown so much in their abilities thanks to the amazing coaches. Highly recommend Coach Rick! He has pushed our girls always to be their best.
My son is now scared of the water thanks to the instructor. I had to remove him from the classes even though we paid for the entire month. When I called to cancel and told them what happened they didn’t seem to care, they didn’t suggest to do something different, nothing. Very disappointed! My son was excited at first, now he’s scared so I can’t put him anywhere else.
Both my girls take weekly lessons (ages 3 & 5). They have learned so much!!! Not just how to swim, but swim safety too! Can’t say enough good things! We love our instructor, Sam, too! Wonderful environment and my kids have learned so much!!
We love FINS!!! My kids accelerated in swimming since we joined FINS. Lovely coaches and staff members.
I love FINS! We started lessons here in June 2018. My son has learned so much since then. When we started, he didnt even like to put his face anywhere near the water and now he is jumping in without a problem! One of my favorite (and the most important) things they focus on is water safety, but it is taught in a way that is still fun for the kids.
We moved to Texas in late June this year, and had lots of family visiting shortly there after for the July 4th holiday! The holiday was stressful because all the kids wanted to swim and my girls (2 and 4 years old) didn’t know how. They wanted to play with their cousins and even resorted to “testing” their lack of skills which led to a few scary instances over the weekend! The week after July 4th, we started them at Fins for the 2 week intensive swim program (2 weeks, 5 days a week for 30 min) and at the completion of the 2 weeks of lessons we saw some pretty drastic improvements. We signed them up for another 6 weeks with 2 lessons per week - I’m amazed! My two kids that couldn’t swim AT ALL on July 4th 2019, are swimming full lengths of our pool, back floating like champs and really understanding how to safely play in the water!I never write reviews...it’s rare! This was the best money we spent all summer! I’m so thankful for the options this summer and for the instructors that worked with my girls! Truly a great place for families!
I definitely recommend Fins, my grandson absolutely loves his class and has so much fun when hes there.the front desk staff is always so helpful with working with our schedules as well
My girls (5 and 6) have been going to Fins since the summer! My younger daughter was scared of the water and the coaches helped get her more comfortable. My older daughter has learned so much and loves the water! We are obsessed with Coach Kelly. Her kindness and patience isso appreciated!
I spoke with Kelly to get information about the program. She was very helpful and I appreciated the time she took to talk to me.
I am 27 and didnt know how to swim lol so I met Liam, one of the owners, and he convinced me to learn and I got it down way quicker than I expected thanks to their training skills. I highly recommend coming here no matter the age!
Our daughter has had a great experience with instructors at FINS! The instruction was good and the staff is excellent!
A shout out to FINS of Spring! Our daughter has been taking lessons here since she was 6 months old (4 years now). I was just telling Beth and the gang how impressed we are with our daughters swimming skills. We have gotten many compliments this summer from her counselors at camp and other friends about how well she swims. We dont know if she is part mermaid, fish, or what not, but we owe special thanks to the FINS team! Highly recommend and start them early if you can!
Our son has taken swimming lessons here for about year. The staff and instructors are great, plenty of individual time with instructors, and various time slots to accommodate any schedule. I’d recommend anyone needing swimming lessons to come and give Fins in Spring a shot.
Our family credits FINs for providing a structured but fun environment in which my daughter could learn to swim. We attend power sessions at the Spring FINs each summer and she has progressed from a beginner to a solid, silver-level swimmer. The facility makes it easy for me to observe and the instructors give great feedback but the best endorsements are my daughter’s excitement each year when she attends and the water confidence she’s gained. Learning to swim through FINs has been a continual positive experience for our family.
Good experience, they are cautious and polite.
Great experience so far, my son loves going to swim classes.
My girls have been coming a total of about 5 years. Both had Coach Beth as their first teacher and has since moved up levels. We love FINS its the only swim school I will allow my kids to attend.
We have had a great experience with FINS. We have a special needs child and have seen amazing growth.
We have been going to Fins for over 2years now. My daughter loves the teachers!
A wonderful staff. They are obsessive about safety. I appreciate that
C4 is taking lessons here started 7 weeks ago has gone from no skill at all in the water to confident and swiming some without help (IG: no floaties)...He loves going and get very exceted for swim lessons day.
Great facility and a wonderful team! Definitely recommend!
My son has been going to FINS for sometime now! He was not advancing and became VERY discouraged! His amazing Coach Aylin kept him motivated and encouraged him through it! He has improved soooo much and loves coming in for his lessons! My Finstructor is absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend FINS! I couldn’t have asked for a better coach! Aylin rocks!!
Our 3 year old has been going for over a year and it has taught him so much. He now free swims in our pool and doesnt require any type of flotation (of course supervised. ) The staff are great with kids and have a really good program to cement the right swimming skills.
Helpful staff and great teachers.we love fins
Awesome for learning swimming staff is very helpful very nice I all ways recommend to go fins
Highly recommend anyone
I wanted to honestly wait a while to write this review, given this was our first go round at a swimming facility. I wanted to see how things went, how well the boys progressed, and our overall experience at the facility. Let me preface this with my kids do enjoy their instructors and have learned a lot! They have come quite far on this journey (weve spent the entire summer and fall of 2018 here - a little over 6 months) and I do not feel the money was wasted (irregardless of how expensive it is). The boys coaches have been extremely assertive in their teachings and have gained trust from them AND myself that no other school weve been to has been able to accomplish. The facility has been extremely assistive in our make-ups (scheduling three at once can be a bit of a challenge in almost everything we do) and have been receptive to our needs as a family. As a parent to multiples, I am extremely grateful for that andThat said - I really wanted to give 5 stars. But I cant. Reasons for three:- The facility is chaotic! If you go anytime after 3pm during the week and or during the day on the weekend, expect to struggle to get in and out of the facility without breaking a sweat. It is jam-packed! We usually go in the afternoons during the week and have to fight to get around other parents and their children, due to the lack of space or clear path to the outside.- The dressing rooms are small and outdated - which leaves much to be said. There are three in the front - only big enough to accommodate maybe one child and their parent, secured by a shower curtain only. There isnt any other measure in place to keep those occupying the rooms safe and out of harms way from a would-be predator or even from being walked in on. There are locking rooms in the rear of the facility, however - again, theyre small. There is one fairly large room that can usually be gotten (ideal for a parent with multiple children like myself), however there isnt really any handicapped access, nor is there anyway to secure your items youre changing into.- The length of the classes is one I am still struggling to grasp. I understand that to be the standard, and Im sure for a multitude of reasons - however - I think increasing the class time would allow for a bit more progress in the long-term. Just my opinion. With three kids in the program, it is hard to spend an hour getting them ready only to turn around and spend just as long getting them ready again once done...might seem trivial to most (Ive yet to see many parents with multiples this young in the facility), but its an issue to me.- Communication is a very big deal to me. Early on, we had issue with consistency and clear communication (pricing, level, and scheduling), but after numerous talks with the general manager that seemed to be corrected. The original assistant manager (no longer at the facility) was difficult to obtain any info from, but the new one is polar opposite. I will say, Id still advise being persistent with follow ups regarding your concerns/requests. There are a couple staff members that appear complacent, but for the most part everyone is pleasant and professional and comes off genuinely concerned/attentive to your needs and your child(ren)s needs. At the end of the day options are limited. Ive explored other facilities and programs and have to say FINS still stands higher with me in regards to the overall opinion of the facility, its programs, and its staff. I think with a few updates on the facility and some lessons in customer relations, along with program adjustments/class size & schedules, alot more parents - including myself - would be extremely pleased. That said - we will take a break and possibly re-enroll in the spring....
My son loves this school!
Great knowledge and experienced team!!
Great place to swim. Friendly staff.
My son has shown progress, even though he is only 2 years old. I didnt give 5 stars due to the face you can never get a hold of anyone on the phone. You leave a voice mail and they might call you back.
My daughter has been going on and off for two years, they are wonderful with her. The staff is always accommodating and pleasant.
In short, after four months of swim lessons at the FINS location in Spring, my son has not shown any measurable progress.I enrolled my son in the FINS Spring location at the Angel FIN level. After three weeks of swim lessons, I received an appraisal which showed that my son was competent in all but one area for that level. After three months I received another appraisal that was word-for-word exactly the same as the first. By their own metrics there had been no progress in over three months. During the four months that my son was enrolled at FINS I did not see much change in the curriculum; his instructor simply followed the same routine each time.To make matters worse, my son was actually a better swimmer before enrolling at FINS. He was, with the assistance of a floatation device, combining arm and leg movements to do a basic dog paddle. Now with a floatation device he will propel himself by kicking but resists combining arm and leg motions. All of his lessons at FINS focused on kicking with a floatation device so now I need to retrain him.I have read positive reviews of FINS, but most are from more than one year ago and I imagine your experience will vary by instructor. Either they have declined in quality or I had the misfortune of a bad instructor.
I’ve been taking my daughter here since she was 6 months old!! We love miss Julie and everyone else here!
Been going for years and never disappointed!
I love this place, my daughter only been their for 4 weeks and she skip up two levels already and she did not know how to swim.. It depends on your child and you have to take the time out and show them too.. You can not just leave it all up to the teachers. Way to go Jayla and thanks a lot finn....
Excellent place where kids enjoy swimming
Great place to learn swimming. Great Finstructers. My son started going here when he was 18 months.
UPDATED...Had a good talk with Whitney, from FINS regarding the below review. She is taking steps to ensure the issues we had will not happen again and was very apologetic. I have heard good things about FINS from friends so I am thinking it my negative experience is not a common one. Also informed that there is more changing rooms further down...Very unimpressed. We have been going to Houston Swim Club Cypress location and although we like is there, I thought I would go check fins out as it is very close to my house. The outcome of this being very unimpressed with the customer service and facility. Houston Swim club is much better in my opinion. If you would like the details, read on...I called and scheduled an evaluation and I explained on the phone that he is still in parent child classes at HSC and is about to move up next month. I was told that they will try to do the evaluation without me in the water but to wear my bathing suit under my clothes just in case. So I get there 5 minutes before my scheduled time and wait a full 15 minutes in line at the reception desk while the receptionist deals with the people in front of me in the line. She was scheduling them in a new class time slot and make mistake after mistake and had to keep redoing it. I then get to the desk and am told to fill out paper work and wait in the viewing area. A young female instructor comes to the door and calls my sons name...I take him up and she grabs his hand and goes to take him in...Que screaming 2 year old. No introducing herself to him or any thing. I said should I come in to the pool area to help get him in the water as hes never swam alone before and she told me I was not allowed. Then she changed her mind after trying to drag him away from me crying, so I helped get him in. Once in she asked me to leave and wait in the viewing area, which I did. 90 seconds of being in the pool and him screaming crying and she brings him back to me. Tells me he will be in the lowest class as he is not confident in the water by himself (I already told them that from the start). Then I go to get my very upset 2 year changed and there are no available changing space for us...There is 1 family changing room and 2 tiny cubicles with curtains...Not good enough. It is definitely worth travelling further to HSC
Love, Love, LOVEEE!!
Aqua Zumba is also taught here. Its one of the very places that offer this awesome format of Zumba fitness.
I am beyond disappointed. They kept my 6 year old for 7 months in the same level. According to the instructors he was lacking one skill and apparently nobody could teach him that. For seven months I watched theyre teaching him exactly same thing every time, my son became bored, there was no motivation whatsoever. I had no choice but take him from there and find another place. Awful!!!
We love FINS and Coach Beth! Shes done wonders for my daughters swimming!
The FINstructors are great and are always patient and encouraging. My son has been going since he was 7 months old and we have had nothing but good experiences.
Excellent!
