Hands down the BEST in Texas!! The staff is VERY knowledgeable and they dont just sell you a weapon, they take the time to teach you everything there is to know about it. You want to buy a sight, they will put it on a gun for you so you can get the full effect before making that purchase. Extremely friendly people here, and a very relaxed environment. One issue I have had at other ranges in Spring has always been the bizarre ego and uncomfortable atmosphere provided by range masters and the cashiers, but Texas Tactical doesn’t have an ounce of it. Everyone is friendly and while safety is important, they know how to be both safe and respectful. It is now the only range I go to, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Im in Texas for work and obviously i had to pass by a gun range to have my first experience shooting all my favorite weapons. I thoroughly researched which place i should go to and this one definitely came on top of my list in terms of quality, professionalism, prices, facility, choice of weapons,.... It definitely did not disappoint. I was able to shoot all the rifles Ive always wanted and more:AR, AK-47, glocks, Roni, silencer on the AR. On top of all that, rapid fire is allowed. The workers are extremely experienced and very knowledgeable. Safety is also always an important with a professional watching over the range from a distance. You feel safe while being free to do your own thing!!!Definitely a place that will recommend to anyone coming to the area. Also, definitely a place that i would really love to come back to.

Scott and Tera are always super helpful and great teachers. They are fair in the way they do buisness and the range is awesome double taps and rapid fire are allowed. The range is also very nice.

I may or may not have purchased 3 firearms from this shop in the last year and shot at their range many times. Both my wife and I attended the LTC class (they have half price classes occasionally). Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great for helping you find a firearm that fits you personally for edc. Super helpful range officers and they let you shoot double tap / rapid fire as god intended. Also they have a very well behaved doggo.

Great selection on guns and accessories, prices are good too, most stuff is either the same as online or big box stores or pretty close, Id rather spend my money here than with big companies any day!

Showed up Saturday to fire a few rounds through my new 556. Store was clean, well stocked, and the people working were super friendly and knowledgeable. Range pricing was lower than other nearby indoor ranges. Will definitely be back again.

Went here for my first handgun 3 years ago when the shop was just the storage containers. Now with the entire store and range, wow. Love it. The system, the technology, the employees. You feel comfortable. They welcome you, teach you. Most places intimidate you, if you dont flash the cash they aint looking your way. Texas Tactical isnt like that. Ive gone in several times just to chit chat with Scott. Amazing atmosphere. The range is top of the line. Blows every other range Ive been to off the map. Fantastic. Love it.

The knowledge the Texas Tactical team is willing to share is more than a sales pitch. They go out of their way to support the needs of the customers and have a variety of offerings. I will always support local businesses who do their best to service customers.

Need to expand ammo selection. Didnt have 357 MAG range ammo, so I had to go shoot at spring guns... I hear its a cool place though! Lol

I’ve been going to this range since they’ve opened. The staff is great and the little tips they’ve given me has helped improve my shooting. The range is really nice and very reasonable with the prices. The plus with this facility is the ventilation system and being able to double-tap. I hope to see this business grow even more.

Excellent gun range, excellent customer service. However their pro shop is extremely overpriced. For example, they are asking $167 for a streamlight TLR-6 pistol light with laser, that I could buy for $92 on Amazon, or $112 at a local competing gun store. I saw another flashlight that I liked, the Streamlight Microstream selling for $50 here, yet I can purchase it for $30 on Amazon and similar price at Academy. This is a 70% Mark up on both items!I wholeheartedly believe in supporting my local gun range, but if your prices are higher than other local gun shops and pro shops, and 70% more than Amazon that can deliver to my door in 24 hours... sorry but I have to shop elsewhere. Asking $20 on top of a $30 flashlight is a little outrageous.Other than that, I really do enjoy the events they hold here, and I do highly suggest and recommend anybody to come shooting here. The owner is very friendly, and has a lot of experience, he has helped me with a lot of purchases in the past, however I just can’t allow myself to purchase most of the items they have here as I know that I’m really digging into my wallet just to support the shop.I did buy a gun mat today during my visit, but the sales person was quite pushy about wanting to create a “profile account” for me. Sorry buddy, but I don’t need a profile at a gun store keeping track of all of my purchases. This is in fact the only gun store that does this in Houston that I have found. I’m sure it’s for customer service related transactions, like for returns or keeping track of how much money I spend so they can help me blah blah blah, but I just don’t see any benefit of having a created profile or account just to buy from the pro shop. My receipt should be enough proof of purchase should I have a problem. Just saying, it’s a little overkill.Other than that, excellent range, decent customer service. 3 Stars, honest, detailed, and fair review.If the owner is reading this, and he would like some humble advice from a gun enthusiast, consider lowering your prices on your products to be at least competitive with the other local gun ranges. I know that not everybody can compete with Amazon or online prices, but if you are a wholesale dealer, then you can compete against both.I don’t mind paying an extra $5 or even $10 on a $100 item to show my support for a local shop, but paying 70% more on an item, multiple items, is not something in my purview.

First time stopping in. Wanted to check out the range. Was extremely impressed with everyone there. Lady running the register was friendly and informative. Quickly explained how their set up works,got me a waiver to fill out, assigned me a lane, and got me on my way. Robert took over from there. Showed me their ventilation system, how the touch pad controls for the targets worked, and offered help if needed.Range was well lit, well ventilated, extremely clean, and state of the art. I asked about bringing my daughters (who range from experienced shooters to just starting out), they were welcome there.Shop was well layed out and very organized. Looked like lots of selection and a variety of different firearms.I highly recommend Texas Tactical. Superb range.

I somehow managed to lose my IWB holster that I use for casual clothing, so I went to a nearby gun shop to get another. They had almost no selection of anything and absolutely nothing that would fit my M&P. I mean what gun shop does not carry holsters? His advice was to go to a gun show to buy a holster. So I called Texas Tactical from their parking lot. The guy on the phone listed off 3 or 4 holsters for my piece that they had in stock so I told him I would be there in 5. When I got there he hooked me up with a gorgeous Desantis holster that I absolutely love.Texas Tactical has an awesome range, great supplies and fantastic employees. I highly recommend!

Awesome range facilities and super helpful/friendly staff. I like that the shooting bays have AR500 plates giving your protection from shooting neighbors. Prices for using the range are just right and the ability to qualify and shoot from the holster is great for practicing fundamentals. They also stock a great selection of AR parts if you need something for a build and dont want to wait on having it shipped to your house.

The guys here are really friendly, and have a small, but great indoor range. The ventilation system alone makes it worth while. Then there’s the soundproofing which helps with reducing the noise of gunfire. Doesn’t resonate or echo off the insulated concrete walls. Which make it really comfortable to shoot with other shooters, mag dumping in the lane next to you. Me and my girlfriend love going here.

I bought my first handgun from this shop the day I turned 21. I came at the recommendation of a friend and was extremely satisfied with the quality of service provided. All staff are very knowledgeable and respectful. They ensured I knew exactly what I was purchasing and that I was comfortable with it. The indoor range is state of the art and very reasonably priced.

I always enjoy coming in and seeing the friendly faces, the employees all truly enjoy what they do. Chad helped me get a grasp on what I was doing being a first time shooter and he explained everything very well and was at my becking call. This is definitely my new hangout place. Outstanding modern indoor range, great ventilation, soundproofing and digitally controlled targets. They allow double-taps and encourage controlled, safe rapid firing if you want to realistically train for defensive shooting situations. The range officers are excellent and very helpful as are all the sales & range staff, have a great selection of pistols & accessories in the store and armorers on staff. I am very happy to welcome Texas Tactical as our new neighbor here in Spring.

Best gun shop and range in the entire area. Wide selection of firearms, accessories, as well as tactical apparel and gear including plate carriers. Indoor range is well maintained and modern. The staff are all very courteous and extremely knowledgeable, Scott in particular!

This place is surprisingly well stocked, especially if you are a Glock owner. This range is also one of the only ranges that allows you to draw from concealment.. After you are cleared and approved to, very cool.

I went in several weeks ago, paid the fee and got qualified by a range master to be able to train out of the holster. The range is brand new with a ventilation system and uses tablets on the side of each lane to control the distance of the target. They allow double taps and with all of this combined makes an excellent training environment. I recently brought in my EDC pistol to have sights installed by their gunsmith and the work was done professionally and ready the very next day within 24 hours. The customer service is excellent with a knowledgeable staff. I am new to Texas and having a facility like this down the street from my house is really nice. My only complaint is that the range fees are a little high. Look for the mid week daytime specials where it is a little cheaper.

Hands down best gun range/gun store in Houston. Scott, Chad, and Amy are really informative about all their products. They are more than willing to answer any and all questions you may have. Also they make silencer purchases a breeze. I cant say enough good things about this place. Amazing place! Came in from across the state, staff was very professional. No sales pressure but after firing the owners personal sidearm I walked out with a Glock G45 (Ive never cared for Glocks, but I love this gun). For the record I’m giving it 3.5 stars.This was my first visit to this “range” as it was close by and didn’t feel like chancing weather at an outdoor range today. I came in today with a buddy to just help him and give him pointers since he is new to shooting.This place treats you as they perceive you; and we were perceived as idiots (about the best way I can put it) today. We came in and patiently waited in the line, and I observed as every one around was treated like best friends and given all sorts of extra treatment, then when our turn, it was as if we were an inconvenience; and hey, I get it from a certain aspect, new faces, “who are these guys?” but still no excuse for poor customer service.We brought some ammo that we weren’t allowed to use, and that’s fine, range discretion despite no signs giving you a heads up. I don’t fully agree with the reasoning or what we were told, given that it was normal lead (not steel core ammo) but hey whatever. We purchased some unlabeled range ammo so we could carry on. I didn’t mind doing so but what irked me was the associate accusing me of being on my phone to “shop around at ammo prices” when all I was doing was answering a quick text. Basically he spent 5 minutes justifying why I had to buy his ammo when I said from the get go we would buy it and it wasn’t a problem, and when I tried to tell him I was fine with it he throws up his hands and is like “hey hey I’m just saying”. Dude chill, I had no problem at all and yet he treated me like a hostile. Wouldn’t even shake my hand when I extended it as to say hey man it’s not a problem I appreciate your help.While we were getting set up on a range, another customer comes in and the associate at the counter basically gives the lane he was going to give us to that guy and then says “oh he was already on file and easier to sign in”. Ok, well we were first in line? Luckily we came at a particular non busy time and after sign in, we did get a lane, but the lane we were assigned was occupied and the range officer, when we told him what lane, was like ummmm, well it’s occupied. He moved us to another and we continued on.So they claim “home of the double tap”; not really sure what they mean by that given the lane next to us was uncontrolled blasting away with a rental AR; to the point of not even aiming but just firing downrange.Pro: The range itself is clean and with a good vent/hvac system, no complaints there. Easy to operate target system and good lighting.My biggest question is why are you timing me if you’re just going to charge me by the hour? We thought we paid first but the associate behind the counter said you pay after usage. That’s fine, but don’t insinuate (and even the website illustrates this) that you are going on 15 min increments blocks; we shot for right at 30 minutes but paid a full hour. Again, whatever but just maybe say “one hour min range charge”. The manager checking us out ignored my multiple questions (including about time and first resp discounts) at the end, pretending he didn’t hear us; at this point I was over it and didn’t care.Overall, while not the worst range I’ve been to, it’s not the best. The range itself is adequate but I found the customer service to be lacking. I feel you could do better. Given there is a “tactical” gun shop on every corner these days, what distinguishes you? Today it was definitely not your service.
