Pump track is excellent. Other concrete at the skatepark is sketch and laden with cracks or un-level surfaces. There are places in the bowls where drain covers should be, but they are missing which is a large hazard for skating, so beware. The bowls are massive and, for me, pretty daunting. One of the large bowls really smelt a lot like piss and the discoloration if the concrete leaves me to believe that that’s what it was.

My kids love the skate park. I have seen a couple bad accidents there though.

My son is 12 years old he loves his bike n he loves to ride jus like his father does!but Im a lil to old to do all tha stuff I would like to!I think a lil more scared then old!lol!but my son wouldnt wona b no other place then here I think!its all good tho!up n till its time to leave!then its!five more mins dad!five more mins!I love it!

Best skatepark in spokane! it helped me a lot with my transition skating and honestly never gets boring with the endless amount of lines still left to be done

The playground was nice and we had an enjoyable time, not too many tweakers nearby and the ones that were stayed away from us.

Whats to be said about the Hillard skate park? Im sure for the skates out there its pretty cool. For everyone else however, there is a lot of grass, baseball diamond, a lot of picnic area thats actually has some nice shade trees to cover it. Then there is the basketball courts and even some sweet playground tops in the shape of a choo choo train, since Hillard is named for Hills yard. Formerly one of the biggest rail road years in Spokane in its day. All of this is waiting for you to enjoy, if you can overlook all the homeless and drug usage that goes on openly in the park. After all, it is Hillard! Lol

The kids love to go to the skate park, just beware of the surroundings. Lots of trash around the park and cars with people in them for days..

Good luck actually riding a skateboard at this location.Over populated with scooters and fruit booters whom deliberately cut you off, obstruct the ramps and generally disregard the intent of this park.Donated bottled water on my last visit and watched as one (Lord of the flys) ran off with the whole 12 pack leaving his counter parts parched.

Great place! Gets a bad wrap because its in Hillyard but the Hillyard community is the most inviting in town and no major problems have arose since the park started.

Cant enjoy yourself much it has been bad this last summer. Am d Im not taking about the teens s hanging out by the skate area, they dont bother anyone. Go somewhere else, be safe. Do not go at night.

Great skate park

Growing up at this skatepark has been the roots to my life. Even 15 years later, this place still brings back the same joy and excitement I used to have as a kid.I think more parents should bring their kids up here and teens to keep them out of trouble, like it did I. For a skatepark, its got runs, bowls, rails, and everything in between. Still the best skatepark in Spokane. Hands down.

Parking in parking area was a interesting time. Cars pulling in then pulling out after a few minutes, drugs I think. Wasnt kept up and folks let thiers dogs poop and not clean the mess up. Also homeless people around bathrooms and garbage in dumpster over flowing. Looked like someone dumped discarded household goods along side if dumpster. Park needs mowed. Dog bag and poo cans put out in places and I believe the rest of the problems would move to another park.

Cant get enough!! Wish the park had more fun events like contest amd demos... Still, BEST IN SHOW!

A legend in history. All kids young and old come here for the ghetto part of Spokane needs to live a little and let a little bit of steam out on something. This needs to be updated. Its very old and a little boring...maybe a bigger skate park and more athletes showing people how to have fun may influence everyone in a very bright, positive, and meaningful way to live life daily. Like your go na crash and die tomorrow!! Jk!

Beautiful place

This place has lights and it illuminates the entire park perfectly!! However, the lights go dim at 11 p.m., but you can still see the entire park and still skate it if you want !!Im a beginner skater over 50 and I always wanted to skate this park so I finally had time this summer of 2018 to make the journey to Hilliard Park.I just so happen to love transition and vert so this park is awesome for me! Totally loved it! Cant wait to go back!& BTW if you like to play basketball, right near the park is a full-court outdoor basketball court which is also lit and people were playing there very late at night, enjoying themselves to the fullest !! Hopefully many people will appreciate these outdoor resources this community offers and get off their asses and go out and get some exercise or at the very least just go check it out with a lawn chair and watch all the activities! Even at night time LOL !!

Good sized park with fun features. 24 hour lighting is great and rare at most parks imo. Tweakers hang out around here, especially at night so be warned. The ground is old and rough but its still rideable.

You cant say enough about the hillyard skatepark one of the well-designed parks with a lot of effort for every skill level whether it be rollerblades skateboard BMX or even just roller skating inline skating theres a toptech theres two bulls niceville travel around easy for the beginners up on the top deck and the most extreme level you can imagine very well designed with the safety fence all the way around it looking out into the ballpark followed by the playground for the kids

The skate park is in one corner of a much bigger park. This park has swings, jungle gyms, basketball court, baseball field, big picnic area and lots of great space.

Decent drops, the only thing I didnt like were the teens smoking pot while kids were around.

Excellent skatepark where you can break many bones and scrape you face across concrete. Much like Tomatoa did to Maui during the Shiny song and dance in the Moana movie. The rest of the park is great though. Plenty of shade provided by large trees! Great play ground for your kids to play, also featuring a large concrete Train that kids can climb in and doubles as a entertaining way to cool of in this heats in which it spouts water out of the front end. There is also a porta-potty which isnt a great feature of the park by the way....just good if youre homeless and need to relieve yourself. Enjoy
