Such a fun, clean little park. Great for all ages- my daughter is 15 months and there were kids half her age there having fun. They have little swings and a smaller child gym as well as bigger equipment for older kids. Really a great community. Not a lot of parking, so I wouldnt recommend going on a busy day unless you can walk.

This park is great, it’s in a friendly neighborhood, right by the the police station (super safe) and has a lot of great stuff such as a very nice trail and a tennis court. You can also rent a shelter there for a whole day. I would definitely recommend checking out this place, a lot of nature to see and enjoy.

Has been updated & very popular with residents in town of Speedway. Also has bike path, shelters, ballpark & a truly nice playground.

Nice park. But not alot for toddlers to do

Nice park for a walk, skate or bike ride. Paved 5-6 path around park is .5mi loop. Benches for sit and read or watch. Has play area for family - swings, climbing ropes, etc. Couple grills. Volleyball, softball and baseball fields. Walking path from Speedway joins at southeast corner (crossing Lynhurst). Plenty of parking. Park behind St Christopher and Police dept.Saw a red fox this eve on the southern ridge/path - s/he was so cool you thought they owned the place.

Good for children under 6.

Awesome place. Very nice park. Play area looked amazing, it made me wish to be a kid again so I could go play on it. Plenty of shade also for those hot days. You wont be disappointed going to this park.

Beautiful exhibits and great employees

When you just want a place that is within 15 minutes from home, but yet the atmosphere is totally different. Clean fun for the kids and an assortment of things to do. We enjoy ourselves when we visit this place each time. Covered shelters, hi, hers restrooms, water fountain and a play are that is watchable from shelter. A must visit place if you havent already.

Very safe & clean. Fun for all ages. This park is very ample and parents can pretty much sit back to enjoy the afternoon (read a book) while the kids have fun.

Were here from out of town and needed a park for our kids to play. This park has lots to do, is good for littles, and has lots of benches. They are winning their bench game. For real. Great place!

Ive been going to this park since I was like 12. this is an awesome Park I love this park families come here all the time to have parties. kids ride their bikes around the trails all summer. You can rent out one of The Pavilions and have any kind of party you want its safe because its next to a police station Speedway police are amazing they really care about the speedway community so its nice to have a Park right next to it and thank st Chris is also across the street. if you live close to this park I would definitely recommend taking your kids to this one

My grandson and I love this little park. A Great place to run and play on the Padded play area. Good variety of play ground equipment. Only drawback, the rest rooms are closed in the cold weather seasons. But we only go out for short periods of time in cooler weather and its a few blocks to a gas station if someone has to go!!!!!

Nice, quiet park with swings, small slide, climbing nets, ball basket, spinny seats, walking path. Not a ton of kids equipment but it is newer and has soft rubber flooring. My daughter always has fun. One part is smaller equipment better for very little children. Baseball fields, tennis court, volleyball court, picnic tables, benches around pathway, and a bathroom. I love that it is right behind a police and fire station.

This is a pretty good little park to take the kids to or to just walk around on a nice day.

Excellent family park with playground (upgraded circa 2012), long walking loop, baseball field, and small amphitheater. Parking is along the residential street and not usually a problem except nicest weekends of the year. Visible fire department, police station, and church add sense of safety. Stroller friendly. Bathrooms and water fountains open only seasonally. No grills available. Few picnic tables. One shelter.

Because its beautiful and secure for outdoor activities

Speedway is home to a cpl great parks and Leonard park is one of them. Whether your taking in a ballgame or spending time with your kids on the playground I guarantee boredom will not be a problem. Good luck reserving the shelter though. Seems like it is always in use. Just like meadowood it has the walk/run track that goes completely around it and plenty of shade. Activities such as tennis and horseshoes are constantly going on and the concession stand is improving.

This is a great park, but I wish there was a little bit more play equipment. Maybe a basketball court. My daughter still loves going there.

This is a pretty quiet and relaxing park with a good walking trail. Its great for families, has a nice playground, and features two sizeable shelters and restrooms.

Leonard park has a cool kids play area with unusual climbing structures, as well as baseball fields, horseshoes, tennis courts, and open field areas. Also has bathrooms, shelters, bench swings, and walking trail access. Note on hours: open Dawn to Dusk.
