I always come here with my friends every year for 4 years now, and the fun never stops! I also come here with my family a lot and its nice eating the amazing food, swimming, glitter tattoos, jewelry shop, and its just amazing!
Some of the most fun weve had as a family for a while. Great park, very attentive staff and lifeguards. The whole day was enjoyable and the food they made was very very tasty and well priced. Beer was quite good as well, in addition, you can get mixed drinks as well. My boys loved every second of being there and so did my wife and I. Really enjoyed the park as a whole. Sanitary & fun!
We usually visit Hurricane Harbor in the summer but this was one of the few water parks open, so we came to Wild Island. The entry fee is cheaper than most ($32). We paid $36 per person which includes the meal combo. I highly reccomend this because if you decide to order one inside the gates they are $10 ea, so youre saving $6. They are large meals too! Ours had 4 or 5 large chicken strips, about 2 cups of fries and a fountain soda all included. I posted photos of the menu. Cash and card are both accepted. From the website you can order food to avoid the line as well!Adults, they have well drinks, beer on tap, wine, canned beer and blended drinks. These range about $7-9. The smoking area is just outside the gates so you dont have to smell smoke, but is very close. Hands are stamped for reentry. The bar is not open until close for those wanting to grab one more quick drink.Speaking of re-entry, YES, re-entry is allowed. If you leave something in your car, kids want a quick snack or drink, you can run to your car and come back in. NO FOOD OR DRINKS are allowed in the park unless you purchase them inside other than UNOPENED water bottles. They do bag checks, so be prepared. There is ample seating Im the covered areas and in the sun. We got here at 1pm on a thursday and had no trouble getting seats. There are lockers available for $6(sm), $7(m) and $8(L). We left our towels on our chairs and a zipped bag the whole time and no one messed with it. I bought a waterproof phone pouch with a lanyard prior to coming and kept my car key, cards, phone and cash in it while in the wave pool though. They dont allow it or any phones on the water slides. There are several slides for all levels of adventure seeking, a lazy river, splash park for littles, and wave pool. For those wondering, there is not wifi available.COVID UPDATE: Masks are required and enforced. You have to wear a mask if youre sitting or standing around, getting food, getting drinks, going to the restroom etc. If youre in the water or walking from one attraction to the next (inside the water park) you do not have to mask up. The staff is friendly about reminding those who forget to put it up once they sit down unlike many places where it seems youre harrassed if you forget.
Super fun place to go with family at any age. They have something for every including an area wear kids 5 and under can play. They have water slides, a wave pool, volleyball and horseshoes, a kids area, and a sandy splay are. Plenty of seating and shady spots. Nice cabanas as well. Also good food options for people with different allergies.
Great place with some good friendly kids running the show. Very courteous staff. You also have the bowling alley, arcade, and mini golf there for some extra fun. Outback steakhouse is right there for when you get hungry after swimming and sunshine all day. Very ethnically diverse park as well with the majority of park goers being very friendly. Cant wait to go back.It give it 5 stars but its just too small.
Me and my family go almost every summer. We usually come with a couple of friends too, we have recently been trying to get summer passes every year, because we like to go a lot. The slides are incredibly fun, and yes, it’s usually very packed, but that’s not something to worry about, because the park is so huge that people aren’t too smooshed together! I highly recommend this water park!
I really wish the hours of wild island and the coconut bowl opened at the same time!! You have to look them up separately. Other than this issue we always have fun when there.
My details are: came here all excited for the waterside with my boyfriend and we waited until 4pm so it was 19$. We only did that bc my boyfriend is cheap and thought 28 bucks for a fun filled day of water slides was too much. Only to get there and they did not honor the 19$ deal yet it was full price. Then they might have a storm warning and wed possibly have to leave anyway.Im so disappointed. A 42 year old disappointment not as bad as a childs disappointment but an anti stress disappointment that would have been nice.Hey i know it takes 5 minutes to change the website. No excuses they should have honored what the website said. Its 5$ each.
Cute little water park, very good for families with children. No big thrill seeking rides or anything too scary for anyone. Staff were friendly and there was a little tiki bar for parents who might want an alcoholic refreshment.
Fun place with friends but the other customers are really mean. Some kids stole our tubes off our stuff once. But the slides are fun
Great place for kids. Ordered a Sprite and it was flat. Other then that it was great. Theres 2 different kiddie areas. A wave pool and about 10 different slides.
Ive been coming here almost daily for past 2 weeks. Staff has been great!!They check your temperature before you enter. Need your masks as well.Having a great time!
What a great time, clean and very active. Everyone kept with social distancing and wearing the masks when required. Will go again.
Had a good time they dont let too many people in so youre not waiting in line for a long time we went during the week and on a Sunday
Was amazed that the food was actually pretty good, the cabana accommodations were good, and the kids had a blast! A recommended place for families to enjoy a hot summer day!
It was really fun but there are only like 11 big slides. Still a great way to spend your day though
I love going on all the slides and it is so much fun!! I love bringing my friends and hanging with my family! So far I have had the best experiences at this water park!
Its really good for the family with a lot of options for everyone all though keep in mind theres about 10 rides
Awesome place! 36 holes of mini golf for less than $10! Amazing things to do inside as well - well worth the stop!
Great small water park. My kids 10, 8 & 2 had a ball! We will be coming back!
This place is so much fun! The water park is great, with a variety of slides, pools, etc. suitable for all ages. But the fun doesnt stop there! Theres bowling, go carts, an indoor play structure great for younger children, a 3-D interactive theater (we love this!!), an arcade, laser maze, 2 mini golf areas (indoors and outdoors), plus a couple of bars and places to eat. You could easily spend a few days here having fun and not get bored. Theyve considered our weather and have great family-fun options year round.
Pretty nice place for just about everyone.Go Karts are always fun, large, two-course minigolf, very nice waterpark (dont go during COVID please) as well as bowling.
The waterslides were amazing and there are plenty to ride. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are covid cautious, always reminding people to wear their face masks when not in pools or eating.
Great place to come relax. Chees burger, chicken fingers, and burrito meals are the best chose.
Everything was very nice, but the food lines were long. Stood in line for 30 minutes before we could order.
Went here for my birthday in june almost every year best place ever
The cabana is definitely worth the money. The margaritas are super weak tho, but tasty!
They ended up closing a little early becuase of the weather but they got us for another day, I had fun! Its been a while since Ive had fun since all this virus stuff happened, will reccomend for people who wonna just go relax and float around! Thanks! Enjoyed it
Great place to cool off in this heat. Very family friendly.
Good place to bring friends and family and season passes are actully preety good prices but the bad thing is the food prices
It is so fun I love the wave pool ️
It was great today. Not alot of people we got to experience the park way more than usual.
Great experience but the pizza in my opinion is dry almost old at times.
A fun place to ride some slides, enjoy the summer.
Always fun to come here in the summer with friends.
It was a lot of fun and the life guards there were really really amazingly nice
Super clean and fabulous staff. Happy place.
Kids had a blast, loved it. It can get pricey!
Came to visit my daughter and was surprised that the water had open. Checking temperature on every customer. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting towels stations everywhere.
Very nice place but THIS IS NOT OPEN! 1. My local pool isnt even open yet and 2. Its still COVID-19 season the quarantine hasnt ended yet
Fun in the sun with cool water slides. Kids love it and the lifeguards are very watchful and helpful. Get a cabana if you go. Lowers your ticket price for everyone going with you and they usually give discounted tickets for next trip. Plus a safe shaded area only your family and friends are allowed in. With a lock box to put wallets purses and phones away
Terrible experience!! Their COVID PROTECTION policy is you can walk around the park without a mask, you can stand in a line next to 50 people without a mask, you can sit in the same pool where 100 people are in without a mask, however....if you are sitting in a pick nick table by yourself with no mask and no one around you, managers constantly harass you to wear a mask. It is the most backward policy I’ve ever seen. #STUPID
Its really packed at times but overall a really fun place for kids
Super fun place. Some groups can be a bit loud
The fun doesnt get much better !
Great family fun!! Totally worth the money we spent.
Tried to bring my own water bottle filled with water and a sandwich to eat for lunch. Nothing crazy. I have certain eating restrictions and can not have most of the foods at this water park. That probably speaks for many people these days that cannot eat the readily available junk food at places like this. When we went through the front gate our bags were taken from us by the staff. One young female stated that our bag would have to stay with them during our stay. When I told her no and went to grab it she attempted to reach for the bag to grab it out of my hand. Not impressed. Then the young gentlemen begin to open my personal water bottle so that he could dump it out. He told me that they have refill stations around the park where I could refill my water. Why was it necessary to dump out my water when water is free at the park??? How inconvenient! I only had a small 12 ounce container. Not sure that was necessary to try and dump it out. I am all for hiring adolescent young people but have them properly trained on public etiquette. Also, maybe this parks rules should be a little lighter and not so strict. It was just water. While we were there someone pooped in the tide pool. Just curious if there would be a better protocol for how it was handled. Is it sanitary not to get everyone out of the pool? I know sh*t happens. Literally. Wish I had a better check in or greeting at the entrance. Then maybe this comment would have been a more positive one. What a shame to spend that much money at a place and get treated like a prisoner. We were yearly visitors from out of state. Might rethink coming here next year.
Season pass holders every year we love the island
Get there early for the prime spots, but I would definitely recommend renting one of their cabanas for the convenience they offer. Get one of the Luxury ones and theyll even deliver your food to you skipping the long lines. Slides were fast and fun, the lazy river was nice and mellow, and the wave pool was the best if them all. Highly recommend this spot for every family to enjoy.
Awesome day . Some normalcy for the kids was great.
Wild Island is great. Lots of slides and an awesome wave pool. Pricing is steep especially for food. (You may not bring in food, drinks or chairs.) The seating is very limited which is a problem for us older folks. Otherwise it is a great place for the kids--and adults. Adult beverages are available too.
Neat mini golf course very friendly employees
Fun....thank the heavens for the adult island.
Unfortunately this park is having a hard time with keeping social distancing regulated. My main concern is keeping 6 foot distance in lines to food and beverage areas. I took the time to write the general manager and his main response was to push blame and state they are trying. He seemed uninterested in seeing my family return.
Total scam artists. I bought a season pass and added the meal coupons shown in the picture, yet after five visits now nobody seems to know where to get them or what they are so now I have to go through my bank to get my money back.
Hell yes. As much fun as an adult as it was as a kid. Great rides and environment. Good place to drop a few bucks but way worth it. Might look at passes for next year for sure. If you havent been, put it on the list.
Too much discussion about facemasks. Also some ride people.
I wasnt happy with my experience at this area because of the staff and prices. My daughter is 7 years old and 52 inches. Yes, she is tall for her age but she was charged for an adult price not a childrens price. I was angry they would charge a seven-year-old for an adult price because she was over 48 inches tall. I think thats ridiculous and unfair. I tried to speak to the manager but I could not seem to get to him because he was always busy. The prices for food werent too high but if you wanted ice cream or something they were pretty pricey. The area was, of course, very busy but I will say some of the slides were a lot of fun and the rest of my family had a good time. They had all kinds of things you could rent but the prices were outrageous too, as far as renting a cabana, and just a float. I would recommend to go here with your children if youre willing to spend all this money. But, overall I was not impressed with the staff and prices.
Excellent place and all the employees are very awesome
We had a great time here with our kids, 5 and 8. The height limits for slides worked well for them (42 and 48 inches). I especially appreciated that the park supplies free life jackets of all sizes. There are also inner tubes available for use on all the slides that require them, so you dont have to rent to have fun. We did rent a locker ($10 for a large one) and buy food. The chicken burritos were an unexpected win--huge and delicious for $8.50.Shout-out to The Scorpion for getting our 8-year-old stoked on going on bigger, scarier slides. The park also had a couple of great play areas for the littles.
Great place to take the family! Be sure to get the season passes, as thats the best deal. Go three or more times and it pays for itself! It also gives you discounts if food and drinks.
Prices really arent that bad. There is so much for the kids to do and endless amounts of fun. You could spend the whole day there. With thay being said, the service is not that great. There is too many teenagers there that do not know what they are doing or are very rude who are working the service desks. Not enough adults or management working above the amount of teenagers that are needing to be supervised as well. Not very pleased with that. Will definitely be back. Maybe it was a slow day(Sunday) but I felt like no one knew anything we were asking of them. If they had boxes, how much the go karts were, questions about bowling, at the bowling counter.
Such a blast and great way to bond with family
I really love Wild Island because how they laid it out. The water park has a ton of good slides and I like their tortuga ride and their g force ride. The go kart place is really cool plus you can do many other things so if you are in Reno or Sparks definitely come here
Great fun and some great deals.
Excellent water park. It is clean and reasonably priced. They have a descent selection at the snack bar too. Mom and dad can get a beer or a glass of wine while the kids play. There is a ride that is like a trap door elevator. That one is a little scary, but super fun, and there are things for the little ones as well. I am not sure I have been to a better water park. There are cabanas and an area that can be rented out for birthdays and the like. If i lived in Sparks I would have a season pass.
We came here and played indoor mini golf, bowling, and ran around the arcade for hours. My 5 year old had a blast and so did the adults. Its very clean, well maintained, and all the games worked (if you frequent kids arcades, you know thats often an issue). The employees were kind and helpful
They stopped selling the coconut bowl pass. I had a pass there for 2 years and is soon as the did the expansion they stopped selling season passes. Before I could get a season pass for $70 twice a year. I would like to see an all access pass to both waterslides and coconut bowl or bring back the coconut bowl season pass. You shouldnt pull a popular product just adjust the price.
Plus about this water park. You can bring in sealed bottles of water or a cup and they offer you free ice and water. Downside: NO SHADE we arrived an hour early in line to get shade. Very little shade available even for the early birds. Pizza is 5.50 a slice they only sale whole pizzas for booked parties. So we paid 99.00 for 18 slices of pizza. Slides were great staff was friendly, but NO SHADE will keep us from ever returning. We were a group of 23 and the first 50 to enter the park. We were there from 11-7.
My favorite place in reno
Always a good time at the waterpark!
Rented a Cabana, well worth the money since we were there all day. We were guaranteed shade, are own space, a lock box, waters, and plenty of chairs/lounge chairs. Whole family lives our experience there. Will go back.
Its nice and it has a fee rides there. Its nice to go to with the family. Warning tho the concrete is really hot when walking / jogging the floor will burn your feet and they will become really dry. In my opinion the food is a little over priced. You dont have to buy the tubes. They are kind of annoying to carry around and make sure it doesnt get taken or stolen but the rides that need them usually have their own.
Had a great time for a reasonable price..food could have been better tho..the grown up drinks maybe one more shot! But hey your supose to be having family fun..life guards were on point, and my kids loved it their..fun for all ages...
It was really fun. I wish they would have an adult only day or section so that us older kids could enjoy without being bumped into or on the lazy river being splashed and shoved around by kids without manners. But overall, a nice water park.
Prices are RIDICULOUS!!! But the kids absolutely LOVE this place!!
Wonderful staff and clean and great lifeguards. Staff seemed to really be happy that you came to enjoy the park. Thanks for a wonderful experience with our grandchildren.
Cabanas way to close together why lease you have no privacy. But it is a good park
Pretty descent place (been in Reno) in comparison with other water park. Clean and good service. A lot of fun for toddlers and teenagers.
Fun fun, and more fun. Very pricey. Cant take anything. Including water. At least $50. For one
This place was really awesome! I wish they had elevators to take the handicap up! The stairs were just too much on my knees and my feet with my tumors on them so I could not go on all the slides, but I went on a couple and I wish they had some medium ones for The not so advanced kids but are to big to go in the baby pools/slides!
