The Escalante Cross at Spanish Fork

Beautiful hike in the fall. Challenging in places.

A nice place to hike, family outdoor activity, even mountain biking. Never underestimate the climb, it can be a great workout too.

Its a nice, easy hike up to the cross, and there is a great view of the valley.

Wonderful Hike and not too hard or long. The view is amazing. You can see the whole valley. There are two other hikes as well as bike trails if your into that.

Awesome view from this historical hill. There are 10 different ways to get up here, so watch where youre going. And wear good shoes because its a dirt path thats very rocky.

Enjoyable hike. Great views of Utah valley. You can choose a more direct steeper approach or a more gentle one. Spanish Fork reservoir is right there with a sandy beach for swimming and the rest of the reservoir is good for fishing.

Great little hike to a really nice view

The little 1 hour roundtrip hike upto the monument is fairly easy. I would recommend for any age including children. It would probably take longer with smaller kids.

Very fun hike to take your dogs on!after going down the stairs, keep right. i went left and had to make my own trail till i was able to find the original trail.

Such a beautiful hike!!!! Park at the reservoir, walk up the road and you will see where the trail starts. Hike was about 30 minutes to the cross. Beautiful view!! One of our favorite places to hike to.

Cool historical landmark. The first place Europeans entered Utah valley.

It took almost 40 years for me to actually make this hike despite growing up in Spanish Fork. Im glad I finally made it. It has a great view of the valley and I learned some information I didnt know form the plaques. We took kids with us (4-10). The youngest had to be carried the last little bit, but other than that it was a great family friendly hike.

Easy home for little kids who need a goal within sight.
