Take the dogs here every weekend. They love being off leash and able to roam!

Beautiful grassland habitat, easy walking paths. Unfortunately people do let there dogs run off leash, even though it is posted.

Disclosure: I work for MassWildlife and have been involved in the habitat management here.Southwick WMA is beautiful. One of the few native grasslands in Massachusetts, it is a great place for hunting in season, birdwatching at other times, or just taking a nice walk. Efforts to reduce illegal OHV use have been mostly successful, but the EPOs still occasionally catch kids trying to ride their dirt bikes here.
