Fun little hideaway outside of the Portland mall area. Great flight and love that they offer mixed 4-packs. More breweries should offer this. Staff was friendly and professional too. Would visit again for sure.

Fun place to meet up with friends. The pumpkin ale with the cinnamon sugar rim was amazing. Both the pumpkin and blueberry ales were the best I have ever tasted. I had the gose sour beer this summer and it was out of this world!

This is such an excellent brewery. The tap room is really big and they have lots of seating. They even have outdoor seating in the summer. They have events there too. The beer is realllllyyyy good. definitely one of my favorite breweries in town. The staff is also stellar. Happy to answer questions and give recommendations.

Great beer, great environment! Location is a little odd, but well worth the visit. I bought the groupon experience, and have been going back since. The beers are high quality craft brews, which are unique and delicious. I love taking my friends here and seeing them become fans!

This place is hands down one of my favorite places! They have a great selection of beer for all seasons, a super fun and inviting atmosphere, and the owners are the ones serving you your beer! They take great pride in their product and it shows in the incredible tasting beer that they brew!

Island Dog is my favorite brewery. They are hidden on the back side of a building near the mall, but what that really means is there is always FREE parking. They have games, you can order pizza to be brought in from Ottos, some nights they have entertainment too. That’s not even the best part, they have fantastic beer. They have quick and kind service. They give back to their community. Less than six months after they opened they started collecting for homeless veterans. They invite dog rescues in etc. You will find great beer, a smile and open hearts.

Island Dig Brewing is a must if you’re in Portland Maine. Super solid fun beers. Tim one of the owners is more than awesome. Took a tour, super knowledgeable about beers and all around nice guy. The fruit beers are like no others. They actually use fruit not a syrup in the beers. As a brewer in Ohio and Michigan this is a must. Great beers! Really enjoyed Island Dog and can’t wait to go back.

I tried 16 breweries this weekend, in and around Portland. This was the best. If you arent a fan of IPAs... come here. The saison, Unit 15, had delicious hints of citris. Im taking home a growler to RI. The best saison ever. The St. Hubbins gose, (i still dont know what a gose is) was the best gosh ive had all weekend with Plum flavors. Dont even get me started on the Pineapple. Do i need to explain that?! The 3 buoy Brown stout was a light stout. Not my favorite go-to if youre craving a thick stout. But if you are looking for that stout flavor without the heaviness, this is your go-to!! A beer called blue... i am taking home. Its a wheat, purplish beer. Sweet. Crisp. Smells like blueberries. When I walk out liking five beers, this is a must try. Order some Otto pizza while you are here. They deliver!

The greater Portland area has many craft breweries to choose from. Unfortunately most strongly cater to the IPA crowd. Island Dog always has a great range of selection of beers that will appeal to anyone and everyone. This is by far my favorite beer in the area. Add on plenty of FREE parking, a large tasting room, and probably the friendliest of all the brewers in the area, and you have one of the best breweries in Maine. I can’t recommend Island Dog highly enough.

The beer is fantastic, the service is always top notch, even when Josh is working. Kid friendly and community conscious. I can’t say enough good things about the place or the owners.

I loved this brewery and only wish it was closer! The beer was all above average and so are the brewers. I cant believe this place is a 2 man operation and the technology they are using is mind blowing. The theme and decor are great with fun games to play while you drink away your shopping worries because it is close to the mall so a nice getaway if needed. They also have a mug club and pizza delivery :)I look forward to next time!

This is the first time we visit the brewery but not the first time we enjoy their libations! The space is nice, the beer is VERY GOOD, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly!

We brought our Otto pizza down here and had the best beer with the owner! He was great! He recommended a mix with the blueberry pineapple and it was super awesome! My husband got an IPA and loved it as well!! Definitely check this place out!

Since I walked into Island Dog Brewery by chance a year ago, it has become my go-to brewery. The kolsch is outstanding! My wife is a fan of the double IPA. Jim and Tim are very welcoming and will share lots of details about their different beers. The mug club has been a welcome addition to their brewery. Otto Pizza is nearby, and they deliver. Plus, lots of parking and outdoor seating make this a fun place to go.

Island Dog Brewing is in a great location near the Maine Mall. They offer a great array of beers, made with local Maine ingredients. The brewery is spacious and bright with great seating options. They hold many events with no cover charge: comedy nights, paint & sip, trivia and local bands. The staff is friendly and always willing to do a tour of the brewery. If you love good beer, I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Well crafted beers. Love this little place. Weve been countless times. Tonights comedy night was packed. My friends were already there when we got there and I was sad to see them standing but within moments the staff was brining out a picnic table from the back to accommodate our party of six. So much fun.

I had the pleasure of visiting island dog on the Maine Brew Bus. You could see the excitement on the owner’s face as he took the time to explaining the brewing process. It may be behind the mall in the middle of nowhere, but some of the best tasting beer I’ve had in Maine. That’s saying something.

I’ve never been to the location before nor have I ever tried their beer before today. Stopped at my local grocery store (Plummers in Buxton) and grabbed a 4 pack of “a beer called blue” on my way home from work. The 4 pack was a little pricy, but honestly well worth it. Absolutely love the beer. Perfect flavor, I’m super impressed. Nice work! Just turn the price tag down a bit and I’d be in it for the long haul.

Jim & Tim not only know beer but know customer service. My now wife and I had our rehearsal dinner here, we received a private tour, and the staff was very attentive. And most importantly, amazing beer and selection.

Passing through the area and stopped by this brand new brewery. Spacious brew room with plenty of tables and giant Jenga and cornhole add to the laid back ambiance. Friendly service and more importantly, delicious beer! Super flight allows you to try all 8 beers. Dont miss the Captain Tucker American Cream Ale!
