Garfield Park

Garfield Park is equipped with three levels of childrens play grounds: from toddler to 4 or 5 year olds and maybe 6 to 12 year olds. You can take an infant to preteen age kids to enjoy the park. Green grass is cut regularly. Tall trees give aplenty shades. I especially like sand boxes for children to play with sands. At about 11: 00 a.m., there would be many people at the park.

A beautiful park with lots of green grass (for picnicing) and lovely roses. There are tennis courts and a scout house. Mad Men was filmed there (the picnic scene)️ A great place to unwind and kickback in the shade.

Its the first time Ive been to the park it was very comfortable and well groomed.They had a great atmosphere...

Pretty little park with trees that provide shade. I observed people socially distance themselves from each other but still had fun playing with their children. No one wore masks though. Some just sat under the trees and ate lunch.

I very much enjoyed this place. Very peaceful. I would consider bringing a mat to sit on the grass though.

Theres plenty of friendly and rambunctious squirrels at this park, which I consider to be a plus. In addition, the park is a nice facet of natural habitat and socializing grounds for many different breeds of birds - even a woodpecker! This place is a great spot to relax, and its an uncommon experience of nature within traveling distance, located in a nook-ish neighborhood of South Pasadena. The locals here are very friendly.

Great place to spend some time. Many patrons take their dogs here as well. These patrons are usually friendly as well.

Another great park for jogging, studying ot picnic! You can take your kids too to play there.

I love this cute little park! Its so close to restaurants as well so its easy to get take-out and eat it at the park.

Lot of parking and not over crowded. Great for dogs and kids.

Lots of green grass, sand pit in playground, sitting areas, path for kids to scooter and bike on, two tennis courts. Whats not to like?

Nice park with a nice walking path. We were disappointed to see the picnic area cordoned off. No notifications as to why.

I love this park in the hotter months because of all the shade! they have these amazing trees all over the park which makes it very inviting for families of all sizes

The trees hold great energy. You can see the energy around the trees. Love this park!

People were social distancing. Trash cans were pretty much maxed out though, so you might have to take it with you.

Such a great Park with lots of activities to do great playground for the kids lots of trees and Greenery and of course its the South Pasadena so everyone is super friendly and super white and super Asian. Other than that it is a blast

Beautiful grass, clean restrooms, and its just a relaxing atmosphere to be in.

Lots of shade, peaceful atmosphere, nice playground for the kids and parking isnt bad. There is a slight hill so you have to be careful if your gate is unsteady. The company that I work for held their employee appreciation picnic here and it was awesome. The park also has outlets so you can plug in radios and fully enjoy yourself.

I love Garfield Park! Full of kids and their parties, dogs being walked, a few free concerts during the summer, wild parrots squawking in the trees at 5pm but most of all, so peaceful. The park is full of many types of trees that are now many decades old. A wonderful place to spend a little or a lot of time. So grateful for this park!

Nice park. Lots of big old trees. Its long and shady. Has a free little library that includes multimedia. Has plenty of benches. Nice mix of people.

The restrooms are clean, people are nice.

Great park. Lots of space for the kids to run around. My grandson loves rolling down hills and this is a great place for that. Big play area, dog friendly. I love it.

Great community park. Theres playground, community room and two tennis courts. Every weekend you will see kids bday parties at the covered tables by the playgroundOften events like Easter egg hunts or holiday snow day (snow is brought in for kids to play) are held by the city

Had an awesome late afternoon picnic with my wonderful man then walked around a bit into the evening. Very peaceful. I have very fond memories here from the past 45+ years. Best place to have a picnic!

Great park for any occasion. Great for partys as areas can be easily booked. Very spacious and have had no trouble throwing around a ball or Frisbee without worry of others being in danger. Plus awesome play structure.

Such a great park. Its beautiful and green has beautiful trees a clean playground. Its parking is ok. But a very nice park to go take pictures or have a get together.

We came for the summer concert. Very nice park you get to listen to music. While the kids can go to the playground. Very nice poeple bring a chair or blanket and enjoy summerThey have restroom which is a plus.

Playground for kids, lots of space for dogs and picnics, a tennis court, and multiple sitting areas. Also 3 pokemon gyms and 3 stops. All im a safe neighborhood with an area for light shopping and places to eat two blocks down.

Great park. Spacious, gentle, grass hills, nice playground and gazebos. Street parking could be difficult especially when theres an event.

Been coming to this park for years. Its a small park with nice grass, benches and cabezos, tennis courts and playground. Usually packed but sometimes its nice and peaceful.

There are two Pokémon go ex raid gyms here. If you wanna get ex raid pass you can should join more raid here. This park is very suitable for kid as there are many facilities for children. You can also did a small hike here.

Love this park. Actually had my daughters birthday party there a couple of times. It is very clean and had alot of trees . Family members got there early to set up .

South Pasadena Children’s Memorial and Healing Garden

I have loved this park ever since I was a child! I am 48 years old now and this park is not changed except for the better! It is absolutely beautiful with children playing and families everywhere there are bands that come and play and the whole city pretty much comes in and just has a good time! It is very nice to have a park where you can feel safe at at all times of day and night and not worry about stepping in dog excrement or anything because everybody is very respectful and nice is

Garfield Park, it is a family oriented park. Ive gone there since I was a little girl. As my son grew up we visited Garfield Park quite often. The grass is green and it has some small Rolling Hills and beautiful Shady trees. It does have a small arena with a stage. I think to be able to use the arena you need to possibly get a permit from City Hall or Parks and Rec. Weve had some nice kids birthday parties there too. I have taken little kids there to do some small art projects. It is much easier to clean up after the kids when youre at the park than it would have been at home. If you plan a day at the park we always got there early two staked out our tables so they would be close together. Bring some easy to wipe off tablecloths with you. If youre going to have a large party talk to Parks and Rec about signs to reserve tables. Have a wonderful family day!

Nice to spend time with some of my church family out in nature, relating & relaxing in the shade.

Nice place for kids to spend a day running, biking, playing slide, swing, structure. And therere lots of shade to rest too.

It was the BEST park ever!

Great clean park. It tends to be on the quieter side for parks. The community events hosted there tend to be fun and have activities for all ages. Sometimes, theres good quality food truck parked along the street serving good street food.

Just an okay park in a quiet neighborhood, I visited this place for tennis and the courts arent good, poor lighting.
