What a hidden gem south of Milwaukee city. There’s plenty of trials but only a couple of access points to the lakeshore. Don’t forget about the two rules!! Looking forward to coming back in the spring/summer. Theres quite a bit of trails along Oak Creek, which is down by the Grant Park Beach. Frankly, Im curious to try to restaurant at the beach and South Milwaukee Yacht Club.
Cool place to visit..walking through scenic woods with many paths. Hills and steep drops in the terrain laced with small creeks and wildlife. Paths and bridges that will take you down to the shores of Lake Michigan
Love coming here in the summer and fall. Tons of wandering trails. Some in the woods, some on the bluff, and you can also walk along the beach! Good way to spend an afternoon in nature. Obviously other people agree because its always busy here. Recommend bringing a little bag to collect all the trash people litter. Gotta keep those trails clean!
Nice wooden area to hike and walk. It connects to other trails along the lake. Great place to escape the pandemia blues
We love coming here. We had to stop for some time because I had a baby and there was no way we were bringing her. She is 2 now so we let her explore. Fun, as always.
I wish we would have found this place sooner. Such a hidden gem! Beautiful and peaceful place to walk.
There were some truly beautiful overlooks, a nice little beach, and some fun little cliffs to climb up and down. Everyone seemed friendly and there were plenty of places for children to play, picnic areas for dining, benches and logs for resting, trails of varying difficulties from easy to moderately difficult, fields for tossing a ball around, and little areas for a quick kiss with your significant other. Seems like a good area to visit no matter what group youre with. I will definitely be going back.
One of my favorite places to view the gorgeous scenery. We also find sea glass, fossils in rocks, and other beautiful rocks. We come here often and enjoy it every time.
Fun, relaxing, family nature walk to the lake.
Put your walking shoes on. Look out for the small wild life. Beautiful place to visit
Just an amazing place to be lost for hours. So many great trails that leads to the beaches. Beautiful waterfall. Great golf course. Just a hidden gem that many people dont know much about.
A wonderfully scenic and peaceful walk with great scenery and photo ops. Though the trail is rated as easy there are a good number of steep stairs and hills that would be difficult for anyone with moderate mobility challenges.
This park is beautiful. It has a magnificent scenery. Lake Michigan looks stunning from here. There are several trails and its super peaceful. The beach is a bit small and crowded though.
Beautiful wooded trails overlooking Lake Michigan!
Great place to hike, use caution the hills get slippery.
Loved it! Definitely going back.
Seven bridges trail in Grant Park is beautiful and a great place for all ages to relax in nature (it is a walking trail and not stroller friendly). My child loves exploring the forest, going over all the bridges, and getting to the lake at the end of the trail. We have gone in every season and it is beautiful in the winter as well although the steps and bridges do get icy.The bridges are accessed by turning onto the trail that veers left from the parking lot and going down a stone staircase. If you go straight, you can do a loop around the forest and get some great views of the lake.
Very beautiful, soooo many paths and is huge! Along the lake Michigan for a quick swim too.
One of my favorite places to go hiking !! Always has a nice ambiance, and even when it’s packed, you always manage to find a spot to chill out and relax in ! Very vast and the flora is very pleasing on the eyes. Highly recommend stopping here if you enjoy lots of trees and cool bridges, with a short walk to the beach !!
Its a beautiful walk almost tropical this time of year. The meandering path over the bridges and stream that ends on the beach of lake Michigan. Its just as striking when snow is on the ground. Almost magical and otherworldly.
I posted a different review separate but these also show the fun and gross receding parts of the water that soon enough will take over the whole beach.
Really awesome place, lots of picnic areas really cool bridges and the scenery is incredibly beautiful very green and lots of water. Bring bug spray though! Lots of bugs without it. There is a beach you can walk to for swimming as well. Overall great hiking experience!
Nice trail along a little stream. I come here with my children. Its great for a quick get away from the city. Leads right down to lake Michigan.
A nice quick walk to the lake in Grant Park with plenty of side trails! Beautiful scenery, but quite crowded along the main routes. Bring plenty of bug spray in the warmer weather.
Love this place, have missed it since I moved out of state. Had to stop by before I went back to Texas, theres no comparison to anything Ive found elsewhere. Beautiful, cant wait to see it in the fall!
Beautiful View of Lake Michigan! Love that dogs are allowed
Strap on some snow shoes in the middle of winter and get ready to hike. Bring your dog for a walk pack a picnic basket or ride your bike. A wonderful part for family friends reunions or just peaceful time to meditate.
I loved it. Beautiful scenery and great place to walk with my family
It is really a beautiful trail and it is especially amazing in the fall! There is also a beach. There are a lot of ups and downs.
Beens years since I be been here. Still a getaway in nature on South Milwaukees lakefront.
Some of the paths could use some clearing, but other wise this is a worthwhile stop while in Milwaukee. It has trails of varying difficulty from easy to moderate and is a cool escape for a hot summer day. The beach is less busy than Bradford Beach but wont be conducive to most beach activities.
Beautiful park picturesque scenery and great trails to walk along in nature, love the foliage colors, such beauty! If you decide to go during the fall make sure to bring warm clothing as its bound to get chilly being that close to the lake.Great place and popular for photo shoots with the family or significant other.Ill visit again some other time, do check it out.
This is a lovely park with water access. Many trails. Sadly the amount of disrespect others show for this natural beauty can be seen by viewing the trash and drug paraphernalia left lying on the beach. Was afraid to let the grands go barefoot on the beach at 7 Bridges. Otherwise, were there mostly in the early morning to watch the sunrise.
The scenery is breathtaking. Greenery everywhere and the seven bridges trail leads to the beautiful bay with crystal clear water. I came from far away and I have never seen anything so beautiful. The weather was refreshing and the air was crisp. Definitely would reccomend enjoying it when visiting. Absolutely stunning!
The trails are extremely easy to hike. Access to the beach is easy. Lake Michigan is really high right now, very noticeable by how much smaller the beach is now. The trails are nicely kept, a stream flows though this area. Hasnt changed much in 50 years, with the exception of nice improvements, like railings of wood, benches. People appear to respect these trails.
Love visiting this park! Beautiful well kept trails. Bring a camera! Found the beach to be kinda rocky but still had a great time.
Great place to hike! Especially beautiful on the fall!! Amazing place to take photos. The terrain is quite bumpy, alot of roots and rocks, so not great for strollers, wheel chairs, etc. Plenty of parking and porta potties are available.
Been to 15 states.Straight on the road for a year now.Been to different trails but this one is the best so far.I was really surprised that theres a lake where you can swim so.We didnt want to waste that moment coz we might travel again to other place so we had a lil swimming moment there.Im so inlove and amazed with the trail too.
Wonderful shaded trails with lots to see and explore. Beach access and some wildlife (ducks) were fun to see. Very popular and busy, but everyone was having the time of there lives.
A lovely place to have a easy walk. Escaped from city life for a morning.
This is one of my favorite places to enjoy nature without going far. Very picturesque and makes great setting for wedding, graduation, and other important, or not important, occasions. I wanted to give 5 stars, but the little water inlet/outlet from/to lake Michigan looks disgusting.
This park is so amazing. Very unique trail, in that a beautiful beach is to behold. Lake Michigan does not disappoint here. The turquoise water makes for epic pics and fun in the sun. The trails that lead you there are so much fun. My family and I had such a good time here. Likely our favorite place near Milwaukee! Also, there are plenty of playgrounds for the kids to play and run wild! Enjoy!
One of many great parks in MKE. On the smaller side but still a couple hours of enjoyment on the trails. The best part is of course the stream in the valley heading towards the lake with a bunch of bridges crossing back and forth over the stream. Picturesque no matter the season.
Short, interconnecting trails with some beach access, a small covered bridge & babbling brooks. Stunning photo ops. Relatively easy hike, but several naturally steep stone stairways.
Really nice trails with great views of lake michigan... Worth the stop if you are in the area ..
Seven bridges is always great.Little kids should be closely watched on the smaller bridges, but the main bridge is more protected.Pot smoking is a problem in the park, unfortunately, it can hang in the air in the lower basin area as there is less wind. Most people were not wearing masks, despite the mandate starting August 1st. This was not a big problem as it is outside, and moving toward the parking lot area is more open. However, the walking untoward the beach is a small path and more heavily populated.
Best 2 mile trail near city.
One of my favorite hiking areas and just overall a beautiful place to visit many times over. There are a series of bridges that lead right to the beach of Lake Michigan. The landscaping is gorgeous and there are various trails to explore.
Very beautiful park with lots of winding paths and scenic views. Lots of amazing stairs, bridges, and foliage
Great scenery. Trails for all levels and the lake!
Beautiful scenery. Stunning landscape. Stellar beachfront view.
You should visit this Seven Bridges during the Autumn season, very pretty views of the colors of the leaves.
Beautiful park with many great views of the lake. Love this slice of Milwaukee county.
Peaceful open everyone there is friendly very open lots of trails also stairs
Loved it here! Very beautiful! There are some wide trails but some areas that are steep, have steps, or narrow so I wouldnt recommend for strollers or wheelchairs.
Beautiful, and connects to the Oak Creek Trail, which offers a lovely longer out-and-back option (~15 miles). But the surfaces were a bit choppy at places which made for uncomfortable road/hybrid cycling.
Nice to walk dog, bike or just relax.
Cannot recommend this park enough. It’s one of the best spots in Milwaukee and it’s great watching my kids experience the joy of exploring the area that I had when I was little.
Great park in the Milwaukee County Park system!
Great hike
Great place to walk barefoot beautiful streams
It feels magical. Definitely a must see
Fun with friends and family. View is amazing.
A wonder land waiting to be discovered. You need to go explore the good out doors !!!
We hiked here before exploring down town Milwaukee - Fun to explore, lots of little staircases and stone paths. Could be a whole day of hiking or just a quick trip. You can walk down to the beach through several different paths along the lake too. The beach was dog friendly as well.
Must see the beautiful colors of fall, breath taking
Love the hiking trails. Love the access through the woods and down to the beach! The only suggestion is to keep bathrooms cleaner and open more often
An icon of the Milwaukee County park system with views of, and paths down to, beautiful Lake Michigan. Fortunately, most patrons are capable of maintaining a safe distance.
Very beautiful place if you like mother nature.
Love, love, love. My parents were married there. I grew up in SM. Absolutely beautiful. - Seven bridges. We go there very often. Our children and grandchildren love it just as much. Highly recommend.
Short walk to get here, beautiful view
One of my favorite places to go!
Beautiful park. Can hike down to beach. Clean
I really quite enjoy this place, Ive been coming here since about 2015 and I can say it never gets old. There are multiple trails that lead to a secluded beach with a scenic view of the coastline of Milwaukee. There are many scenic views throughout the trails alongside this.Pro tip: When going to the beach, take a right and walk down the coastline. There are eroded walls of clay that sometimes carve out their own miniature waterfalls. There is, however, the occasional fallen tree that may obstruct the pathway to this. If youre up for a little parkour this may be no problem.
Beautiful area. Great place to be one with nature.
Great place to gather with family and friends.
Its a very beautiful area, I never realized it had such a nice beach.
Beautiful area. Scenic hiking paths. A few challenging walkways. Fun for all ages. Beaches can get a lil crowded right at the walkway. But just move a lil down the coast line. Or find a path less traveled to the beach.
Great trails. Pretty trees.
Lots of trails to walk and see tje nature around. Nice little beach spot for the family and dogs.
Great place to walk and get some exercise. Clean and spacious park bordering Lake Michigan.
Such an amazing place. Will go back. Loved looking for beach glass
This is a great little place to get away from the city! The trails are well taken care of, the cliff overlooking Lake Michigan is beautiful, and climbing these roots up a hillside was a fun way to explore. Highly recommend!
Absolutely gorgeous trails. I didnt walk a lot of it since it started raining as I left, but Ill definitely come and explore more.
Unbelievable views along the lake south of Milwaukee. Plenty of parking and free space to roam. Dog friendly, kid friendly, bike friendly trails as well as a less traveled hiking trails. One of Milwaukees best kept secrets
Great trails. Even a beach view as you walk
Unadulterated nature at her best ...water . Shore ..worsen creeks ..some wild animals ..thousands of shades of green ..you couldnt ask for more
Beautiful scenery with the sound of waves splashing ashore, optional swimming after a nice hike along the many trails and bridges here
Best place to walk, hike, or play.
Very relaxing picnic tables were well distanced. Really enjoyed today
Nice trails, easy (stair) access to the lake
Planning to do see a nice and clean
Beautiful hiking trails along the lakeside. You can walk the waters edge directly or hike the trails on the cliffside. If you want a place to relax, exercise, have a picnic, a professional photo shoot, etc., this is the perfect place to do so. It is definitely worth taking a look if you have time to kill on a lovely day!
I would love to get married there
This is one of my favorite places in Milwaukee. It can get busy, but early weekend mornings here are the best. There are very few people and the rising sun glistening off the lake at that time of day is just beautiful. I walk my dog here every weekend, run here most weeks, and kayak up the shore when the weather is nice enough. I just love this park.
I have lived in the Milwaukee and Waukesha county areas all my life. I have driven past and rode my bike past the trail head dozens of times and never realized that 7 Bridges was there. It is really a hidden gem.
Our kids loved it!
A nice little hidden gem with unusual terrain and features. A nice hike to a beach for exploring. Beach is not optimal for typical beach activities but is a beautiful place just to enjoy nature. Dogs are welcome.
