Saw the sign for this little gem while driving to pick up a friend. So glad I made time to go explore this park!So much history in this area and it amazing how well it is preserved and displayed. The outbuildings we unlocked and I was able to see inside and visualize what the plaques described. Super cool place.Make sure to drive slow though this Park is in the middle of a housing development and the entrance the parking lot it a little hidden. As soon you get up to the house look for the driveway entrance in front of the big tree.
This place had a really fantastic vibe and was centered in a modern neighborhood that was built around it. Much history here and in a spot tou would never expect. Much kudos to the planners of this community centered around local history and farming. You can take a guided tour or just walk around at no cost and look at the old farm buildings and read about them on plaques. Very calming place and up the road is an old canal and another very old building right on 106ths 1300w. Area. Big horse statue out front. Worth checking out.
This is a nice little park with a firepit, picnic tables, and a nice grassy area. Part of the park is the home where the Holt family lived. The house and several of the farm outbuildings still stand and are explained by signs. The farm is no longer in use as much of the land was sold off, but it is a taste of history. Unfortunately, the interior of the house has not been restored as a public place, so visitors cant go inside. There are public bathrooms near the house.
This place is very fun for kids and adults. It allows you to read about the lives of the early, South Jordan settlers, and the house and farm buildings are fun to look into and explore.
Great place for family pictures but shhh... Dont let the word get out.
Nice quaint place
