Overlook Park

I discovered this little gem on our way to Burlington, VT. This was such a relaxing place to just sit and unwind. Pictures dont do justice. You need to make a quick pit stop to breath in the air and enjoy the scenery. They have picnic tables and many benches. You could certainly bring food and enjoy it there. The air just smelled so much fresher there. It was very well kept park. It also has plenty of parking.

Absolutely gorgeous nice benches, picnic tables, parking area, and trash/recycle bins. I didnt see a bathroom but I didnt look for one either. great place to take some pics and have a picnic with the kids

Pretty awesome the little park just sit and enjoy the view. Wasn’t crowded, was very clean, and had the option of about three different park benches to sit on and eat and relax.

A nice place to park your car and enjoy the sunset. The view is good, but the house next door probably gets a better view lol.

This is a great place to catch a long view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. The lot needs repaving, but theres a nice stone wall and perennial garden. Sunsets seen from here are spectacular. If they hadnt made this park, someone would have built another fancy house here and there would be no place along Spear St to stop and take in natures beauty.

Perfect place to take pictures, they have a few picnic tables. The view of the mountains and Lake Champlain is breathtaking.

It was a gorgeous sunset, better than I thought it would be! It was crowded, bit thats only because it was a really nice Saturday in the summer.

This place is so beautiful. I love comming here just to relax and enjoy the scene. I come here alone and with people I love just to take a break from the daily grind that is our lives.

Went for the sunset, it was really beautiful. It seems a lot ot other people had the same idea, it was busy but not overcrowded to the point of being a problem. A very nice place to watch the sunset.

This is a great spot to come to have a lunch with a view. Very gorgeous in the fall. Easy parking but the actual parking lot definitely needs a lot of maintenance. Pot holes everywhere.

A must visit for sunsets if you are in the area. Bicyclists, walkers/joggers/runners spot a lot well.

Park is great but the lake is a sad sad sad site. Stop abusimg this beautiful body of water.

Incredible scenic view with a few historic & geographic informational boards. Theres a water fountain and robust bike repair station thats free to use. Good parking too!

Great view and not very packed so you get to enjoy it how you would like to. this park just is not anything special besides the view, small parking lot and not much to do their but look at the view. Cool spot to visit for sure!

Quiet and great view

This used to be a great place to park and admire the view of the lake. However, the parking lot has been neglected for years and is now deteriorating. There are now potholes that can swallow small compact cars whole. The rough pavement also makes it very difficult to walk around for the elderly and handicapped. There are also no facilities of any kind and no trash barrels either, so litter is sometimes a problem.

Nice views of Lake Champlain. A couple picnic tables makes this a great place for a relaxing bite to eat outside! Lots of parking.

Great place to watch a sunset. Have a picnic or just relax after a walk or bike ride. Avoid this place like the plague for events like fireworks. Its a great venue but people will ruin the event. Trust me.

My friend showed me this adorable little overlook when we were up in BTV. Unfortunately, we came on an overcast day, but it was still nice to take in the lovely views!This is an amazing place to see sweeping views of the beautiful mountains and Lake Champlain. I imagine it would also be worth checking out at sunset. This is also a great spot for budding photographers.There is a small parking lot here, plus a couple of picnic tables.Id say this is a must do for first time visitors to this fabulous city! Plan to spend 10-15 minutes here.

Great view of Lake Champlain! No playground for kids.

Great local park. The view of the lake and the Adirondacks is superb. Ride your bike here or park your car. Clean. Lots of seating and some grassy areas to picnic on even (limited due to slope.) A really nice place to catch a sunset. Recommended.

Beautiful view in a residential. Unfortunately not much of a sunset. Maybe next time.

A great network of forested trails, mostly paved. Frequented by walkers, runners and dog walkers. Its somewhat hilly. A nice walk in the woods and by neighborhoods without the worry of traffic. Parking off Spear Street is very convenient.

Its a nice pull off to take a break and look out over the lake. There isnt much else there to do but it is one of my go to spots for a quiet bag lunch. Cell service is a little light though.

What a stunner! The views here are breathtaking! This will be a great place to view all four seasons over Lake Champlain.

Only thing is that its hard to see the lake features.

Probably the best view of Shelburne point around. Its also a very convenient spot to pull over if you have to make a call or meet somebody

One of Burlingtons most treasured parks. As usual, great for dogs and their human pets!

The view is superb. The walking trail is safe and well marked.
