A unique bar, filled with arcade video games, all free! Upstairs there are gaming systems with tons of games. Excellent service at the bar. Great location, too.

Hit or miss with mask. Some wear them some dont havent seen the staff complain really. Decent bathrooms. Love the game selections so much nostalgia from childhood and new experiences of games I missed out on I didnt know about. Drinks are awesome service was great. Drinks may change. Food I havent had the opportunity to try but the aroma smelled nice looked delicious. Will definitely check em out another day when free to.

Great place to hang on a weeknight and the weekend. Drinks are cool and gamed themed. The staff is great and so kind!! Game selection is more than you really think. Got to play games my parents used to Drink I order, my favorite. INKY! Delcious

Really cool place with an interesting atmosphere. Havent tried any of the alcohol beverages, but their nonalcoholic stuff is pretty good. They have a lot of decent retro games. The console space is usually pretty busy and some of their star attractions were not working at the time when we visited (NBA Jam, Area 51). We did enjoy our time there though.

The staff is friendly, drinks are poured well. Its definitely a nice change of pace of your everyday bar/pub, the games are fun but the down side is the place gets pretty busy and with such a small place it gets pretty difficult to move around plus the the bar is relatively small so once it gets busy it gets kinda hard to get a drink b tho the bartenders do well.

The games are free to play but, for me at least, there wasnt much I wanted to play. Most of the games were from the atari era, and only one light gun game. The other modern games they had were NFL blitz 99, TMNT, MK2, and Street Fighter 2. There is an upstairs that has an SNES, N64, and PS3, which was pretty cool. All in all it is a cool place, but not much interest for me.

Game selection is weak, I understand the concept of free gaming for costly drinks but it’s not working. I’ve spent +$75 per night going multiple nights in a row and didn’t feel any sense of reward. Staff is great, but I’ve seen lots of excellent staff quit or get fired.

Had a great time tonight on my first visit! Awesome concept with free to play games. Drink menu was great and fairly priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Once the place got busy it was hard to find a game to play, and several games were not even working properly, if at all (which I understand happens!). I wish there was more places to just sit and/or put your coat/belongings. However, those things did not take away from the overall experience. Great place with lots of potential to become even better.

A great idea pulled off in a fun way! The corn hole option outside is a nice touch. Clean and great staff! I will definitely be going back.

Awesome and cheap date night idea, they have an upstairs loft where they have a super Nintendo, 64 and a PS3 set up on separate TVs. Old school arcade floor and even cornhole and skeeball. The bartenders are polite and the atmosphere is mellow, music is great and whered I go when my wife and I want to stay out late.

Something to do and music, nice out door activity and great for adults and youths

Great spot for classic arcade games. Good variety of games. Nice beer and mixed drink list. Friendly bartenders. Small bar menu, perfect for appetizer snacks. Only wish is that it were a bit bigger space wise. Its a fun spot for dates!

Oh my...I gave a one star rating on this. I never meant to and Im glad I caught it. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and I highly recommend it to any person over 21. Wish I wouldve had the chance to become part of the family like staff but Im sure being in treatment at a facility based on such a thing and being a recovering addict influenced the decision to not hire me. Which is understandable. Cheers

Great place to hang, lots of fun games. A little concerned about spillage affecting the machines but 95% of them work well. The upstairs is cool, with a whole library of games for the N64, not sure what the other two systems up there are. Their house drinks are awesome and flavorful and a decent beer menu that offers more than the regular Bud/Miller/Coors options. All in all a great place to go, can be a bit crowded on Fridays and Saturdays.

Listen here yall, if I could give a 0 star I would. Let me ask you a question: was your ID stolen or lost during the pandemic and you cant provide proof of a PHOTO ID but may have other methods of doing so? Ugh oh, they wont take that! So they may encourage that a cop come and talk to to clear it up...I get the state law, I get the risks but I also understand circumstances during this time. Choose another place. Co-owner was insecure, stuck up, paranoid, and completely irrational, unable to clearly communicate.

Place was awesome, good drinks, fancy or basic. Drinks slightly expensive but the games are free so its more than fair for the people. More masculinity than femininity but a solid mix of people. Definitely unique and fun!

Love the concept, love the fact that its 21+. Its a great place for adults to channel their inner child. I love that they have older games and not the traditional new ones. Definitely should look into expansion or a bigger place because this place is AMAZING!

Free old school arcade, and console gaming at this bar is a clever idea. though, I think every menu item may be overpriced for the value though. I paid $8 for one 16oz Guinness. Id rather have cheaper drinks and pay a quarter for the games imo.edited...I recently went here on a promo night for a restaurant in Michigan City, which was pretty cool.. the Garage has a chill atmosphere, and is a fun place to go. there is a good variety of drinks. ultimately, its not a spot for me because the beers I enjoy are just priced too high. other than that I believe people of all ages, over 21, would enjoy the Garage Arcade Bar.

First visit! Definitely will return! We took my son & a few friends for his birthday. We met up with family so we had quite the crew! Went early so the timing was perfect before it got crowded. A few of our guests are on the Autism spectrum. I called ahead to ask questions to help us prepare for the event. Sabrina was great & took time to make sure all questions were answered. While there, the staff was great! They were patient while the guys looked over the menu & answered questions about ingredients. Thanx for an amazing night of fun!!

A fun way to kill an evening if you go with friends.

This is a south bend must have! When I first heard of one opening in the area I was ecstatic though I never imagined it would be as amazing as it actually turned out. Not only is there a great selection of video games, pinball, and game systems...but it is also free to enter and free to play! On top of that the drinks are amazing and super fun! The food was really good! I highly recommend the wraps and pretzel bites. Great selection of craft beers, and friendly fun staff. On top of it all they support small and local businesses which just topped them off as a great place to support and visit in south bend. I highly recommend

Great atmosphere. More games than I expected (the consoles upstairs were a particularly nice surprise). The beer selection was good, and the themed cocktails is s nice touch.

An awesome edition to the city of south bend. This little arcade has a bunch of old school gems and even includes an upstairs area with three different gaming counsels to pay classics or challenge your friends. The drinks are affordable and the place is a little small but cozy and welcoming. The games are absolutely free to play with the purchase of any food or drink and the bathroom welcomes all genders.

This is such a good idea for a bar but it is so packed inside it is ridiculous. Theres absolutely no chance of you getting a game, the drinks are watered down and the lines are long. Its hot and sort of stinks inside, too. They definitely need a larger building because this is a pretty awesome attraction for people in Indiana who have nothing else to do. Also, there is only two toilets... Take that for what its worth lol.

Great arcade with some awesome games. Can get a little crammed on Friday and Saturday nights, but what place isnt!? Grab a drink at the bar and get ready to attempt a high score one one of the many arcade games! Gaming consoles are located upstairs, too.

First off, the outside is already got a garage/metal vibe. The full window wall allows you to see the entire place. It doesnt look very big and thats ok. You get the whole arcade feel. I didnt realize that all the games are free, which was awesome! It allowed me to try out some of my favorite games again. The drinks are a little pricey but considering you can play games for FREE, Ill pay the extra. I didnt order food, but they do have some tasty sounding snacks. Im in for millipede tournament anytime.

A must stop for any gamers visiting the city. I’ve flown all over the world and only experienced a handful of places like this. Drinks and gaming, enough said. Very friendly atmosphere, fair priced drinks and free games. They have a large selection of vintage arcade games downstairs and above they have a Nintendo 64 and Super Nintendo with any game you could want. I played golden eye and super smash brothers with people I didn’t know and had a blast. Huge shout out to the owners for creating this awesome place.

Theres no culture in this place. They need a host that guides people, sets expectations, and encourages people that dont know each other to play games. Game selection was weak. Place was over crowded. Would love if they facilitated more competition to give people opportunities to get noticed for their gaming skill.

Pros- lots of awesome arcade games- drinks are tasty, all of them are good- nice outside area to get out of the crowdCons- food, place like this id like to see snack food. Not stuffed avacado. I what they have tastes okay but its not really great.- size, the building is tiny.Try to eat before you head out there, its an amazing place but it will get super packed and once it is good luck getting on the games/getting drinks. Regardless i strongly recommend at least checking it out. I havent went and not had a blast.

Great falafel wrap and beer selection, free arcade games, primarily from the 80s, and theyre in great shape. Not a lot of space to do much besides play arcade games, and theres an input lag issue with the SNES mini upstairs, but otherwise a great little place.

Awesome non-alcoholic drinks and a super fun place to chill the food looked great too. Just buy something and the arcade is free reign.

I go to arcade bars whenever I see one. Ive been to a dozen or so around the country. This is one of the better ones Ive been to.This is not just a gimmicky bar with a few broken down arcade cabinets stuck in a corner. This is a curated collection of restored machines that happens to have a decent bar in it. It is clear to me that whomever maintains this collection not only really cares about its contents, but also understands video game history.I could go on about the variety, or the fact that Q-Bert still clunks against the bottom of the machine. If you have any interest in video game history, this is the best place in the area to visit.

Was here with my husband and a few friends. Drinks were really good. Only real problem was it was pretty cramped(which being that busy is a good thing for them) and the food was eh. Would love to see some more goto bar snacks even if they had a twist to them. Also I met what I believe was one of the owners and they seemed a bit rought around the edges but other then that not a bad place.

Fantastic place, and great to see it hopping on Saturday night in South Bend. A great concept and a model for South Bend entrepreneurs. The bartending, however, was terrible. I waited 1hr+ to order a round of White Claws. The bartender was measuring out every single serving of alcohol - just take a guess and get on with it! Nobody is going to notice. The speed was unacceptably slow. I probably wont be back for a while, after I presume the bartenders have been trained up or replaced. Or Ill just have drinks before going...

I am in love. The Garage is absolutely incredible. I mean the games are free! They have all sorts of classics including Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, and Dig Dug. I think my girlfriend is addicted to skee-ball now. The Garage was host to a great date night and we will definitely be back.
